I booked and paid for a room for my husband for a 1 night stay on 4/18/26. He had traveled 9 hours to get to that destination. Upon reaching the front desk in late afternoon, he presented his driver's license and a card. He said he had a reservation. The front desk clerk said no reservation - almost gleefully. Really put him through the ringer to just check in. He said his wife made it. She kept pointing out things like there wasnt an address or phone number on file. He really didnt know if she was going to turn him away despite him showing her the email with the reservation number on it. He asked if he had a room and she said yes but she had to enter his address manually. He said he will not stay there again For a front desk clerk to give a return customer, who presents all he needs to, attitude and doubts about availability is just not necessary. Wont be back. Train your staff Super 8!

The lady at the front desk was wonderful. Very kind and helpful. The room, however, had several strands of long brown hair (I have 1 inch long brown hair lol) and was generally unclean. Breakfast the next day was not out anywhere near the 6.a.m time (I was there at 6:30), and the lady who I assumed was responsible for breakfast that morning was passed out on the couch in the lobby.

SUCH a clean room. As a clean freak myself, I was delightfully surprised at how clean the room was. Upon entering, it smelled wonderfully fresh, and everything was spotless. There was a Dairy Queen right across the parking lot and a small bar across the street. I did not visit either of those, but it was good to know those quick options were available. I was passing through on a long trip and was looking for a place that was safe, clean, and dog-friendly, and this fit perfectly.

We asked for air freshener, at first was they said nobody smoked in room , and they would have notice when room was clean. Neither of us smoke so was really noticeable to us. Employee brought us air freshener . made a big difference. . Bed was very comfortable. We would stay there again.

Wifi broken entire stay, despite alerting staff twice, and calling their internet support line twice (which shouldn't be a guest's job in the first place). IP address assignment would not work. I'm not a computing amateur and I tried every trick in the book. If you're going to run a motel in 2025, the wifi MUST work, and whomever you're paying for support must check the system periodically.
Apart from that, the room smelled bad (just sort of musty and foul), and I'm not particularly picky about this in general.

This hotel was quite nice. The receptionist was super friendly. It’s an older hotel and you could tell in some areas but it was exceptionally clean and comfy. Very quiet, ample parking, easy to find. Overall very good.

Donna was very friendly and helpful. We had 6 rooms of college aged people that kept her busy with new room cards. She enjoyed them playing games in the lobby and encouraged us to try her favorite restaurants in town. We will book there again!

This a good place to stay when visiting the Staunton area. I have elderly family members in the area and we have stayed here three times in the last two months when checking on them. It has always been a good stay. The location is convenient and it is always clean.

The beds were amazing! Unfortunately, there were a few mystery stains on the blankets. The sheets were clean, though. The bathroom was very clean also. The room is great for a quick stop while traveling through. The hall smelled of Marijuana but the room did not. It was quiet, also. We have an 8 year old and we felt safe here. Overall, it's a solid stay. I would return if needed.
