In a town of multiple hotels, this is one of the worst hotels if not THE worst.

The staff when I first checked was a 14-15 year old kid who is living in the hotel with multiple other members of her family.

Our room on the second floor was terrible. The walls had been punched and repaired and not even the same color as the wall they were on. The bed was decently comfortable but not overly comfortable. The toilet in the bathroom rocked every single time you sat on it.

There was a couple in the room next door that was living there as well and every morning you could hear them and their kids being loud as all get out. So if you wanted to sleep past 6am GOOD LUCK. The second morning we were there the couple got into it and ended up waking both me and my wife up.

As we came back later in the afternoon, the people downstairs or next door one of the two were playing music so loud it literally sounded like we were in the room with them.

Then the male half got arrested so we had to deal with the local sheriffs office coming and going to inform the female half of what was going on.

Our final morning we were woke up at 6am to kids screaming and the female half screaming at the kids. I was so angry I couldn’t even say anything to the front desk clerk. I literally just handed my keys and walked out the door.

If you’re going to have people living there, get rid of the hotel and just make it apartments. Terrible stay. Terrible hotel. Spend the extra and stay at an actual hotel.

I stayed at this motel only because I only knew I was coming to Galesburg 10 days earlier so I had no option for a location nearby. Some of the motel guests seemed to be living there, and I felt somewhat unsafe, especially as the staff seemed uninterested in anything beyond being at the front desk talking to friends online. The access to this motel is through a McDonald's or a gas station parking lot. While the room itself was clean and adequate, TV access was limited to networks, religious broadcasts and commercial product promotions. All in all, my assessment above, as Okay, is generous.

The beds were so nasty, had ALOT of hair on them like nobody changed the sheets at all. The tub water didn’t go down, it felt so disgusting I didn’t even wanna sleep there. I asked for sheets to make one bed clean for me & my kids, I’m a housekeeper myself so I know all these things i definitely check, it sounded like a cricket was in my room all night on top of everything. Just terrible HONESTLY. After a long drive nobody wants to sleep in filth, never again.

It was a good stay, still currently staying . Hallways could be better clean and trash builds up outside . I’m just a little frustrated that ownership did not discuss they would be spraying the pavement with new asphalt. The company they hired sprayed right next to my car and around while I was at work instead of communicating beforehand that operations was going to be taken place in their parking lot . No Compensation or at the very least a sorry or car wash. Just frustrated because this could’ve been avoided.

This motel is obviously old and in need of a remodel. The lady at the front desk was nice and professional yet small town way. It was clean for as old as it is, but my room did have ants. I can tell the staff is doing the best they can with what they have. I would have liked to have an iron in the room.

Great staff but needs renovating

The staff were great but our room left much to be desired. The dead bolt was missing part of it so it didn't work, and all you had to do was turn the door handle to exit the room (we had a toddler with us so this was a nightmare to secure him). One of the mattresses coils was shot on the left side so i felt like i was going to roll out of the bed the whole time. The breakfast was small but nice, but no chairs or tables to really sit outside the room to eat.

We have stayed here before I can say that they definitely did some of upgrades which was nice. However, the AC didn’t work very great when coming down the steps there was a soft spot in the floor. Somebody that was cooking on the second floor made the hallway Stinky.
But the worst part is we stayed there Saturday today is Friday and I am still waiting on my deposit to be deposited back to my card. I have called them twice. They said they sent the deposit back to me. However, I still have not received it.

Once we arrived at the hotel and saw the sign then realized this is actually \"Americas Best Value Inn\" so the listing is misleading. There's a super old recliner with the skin of the leather on the arms mostly peeled off. The room is dimly lit. It feels sad, old and a bit spooky.
Front desk lady is very nice though.

This place is deceptive and a joke. It was dirty and smelly and there was open gambling in the lobby as I was checking in. The fake and deceptive reviews misled me into thinking this was a reputable hotel. Nothing could be further from the truth. We left and booked somewhere else. No way would I let my family stay there.

Front Desk \"Bradley\" is awesome

Economy room, sufficed for our purpose. The pillows were terrible and skimpy on towles. Breakfast was very basic, waffle, cereal, fruit, yogurt, toast and donuts....BUT...it was VERY CLEAN and nicely laid out.
The front desk person, Bradley, was outstanding. He was friendly, professional, kept the front area looking good and assisted me with the toaster. He's awesome.

After reading reviews, I was nervous, but we were greeted by a friendly worker at the front desk. Our room was clean and quiet. The kids had fun in the pool, which looked clean, and, we met friendly people. My family also enjoyed the variety of breakfast items.
The only negative thing was that our room smelled like old man’s cologne. It didn’t bother my family but drove me nuts.

Overall the condition of the room was very good. It was juat a bit tight to move around but for one person there was enough. The only thing I can give a bad grade for was the need to have the caulking at the top of the shower worked on...and it DID NOT affect the showering. I would recommend it and will use them again when back in the area.

Your average \"no frills\" hotel. Room was clean, AC worked well. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only concerns I have are... 1) no elevator and 2) security could have been a bit better. All the side entrance doors have \"key card\" readers but the doors are open/unlocked even if you don't slide your card. Luckily it wasn't a problem for this stay, but it was something my parents who stayed in an adjoining room were a bit uneasy about.

We've stayed at a number of motels on this trip, and this place was very good, especially given the price. The room was basic but clean, shower excellent, tv worked fine. Beds were comfortable for us--not saggy, soft, or too firm. Refrigerator had a separate freezer above that worked very well. A very handy reading night light next to the bed. Breakfast typical. A note on the breakfast wall asked people to be polite and aware of others by not wearing pants below the hips. Pool looked good. It was definitely a very good value.

MacDonalds next door. Great “Big Catz” BBQ restaurant nearby. Rooms VERY CLEAN and comfortable. Would highly recommend.
