Stay away. Rooms are disgusting. Cigarette stains on the comforters, smell of stale smoke in the rooms, toilets look like they haven’t been cleaned. Group of 6 showed up and checked right out. There’s a Hampton Inn 10 minutes away that is a much better option. I cannot believe this place is rated 3.5 stars. There is no way.

Safe place. Good deal for the price. Overall, not unhappy. The beds are very firm.

Pros: no bedbugs. Nice safe little place. No smell of cigarettes or marijuana. Very affordable. Water was hot. Easy to park a car (don't think I could have gotten my truck and horse trailer in and out of the parking lot)

Cons: Floors in the room needed to be vacuumed. The fan in the bathroom didn't work. The washclothes were stained but clean. The little shampoo bottles were half empty.

For $80 a night, If probably stay there again.

Our room was dirty when I checked in - the carpet had not been vacuumed and the bathroom floor was dirty as well. When I asked to be switched to another room, that floor was dirty also. When we settled on another room, there was damage on the wall of the bathroom from a water leak. Also, the breakfast was nothing to write home about - no fruit, no orange juice. I would not recommend staying at this hotel, and I'm not sure how a brand name such as Wyndham is associated with this hotel. The entire hotel needs a major update.

As we pulled into the parking lot, the grass was needing mowed. Upon entering the lobby it seemed the ac was not on/working. Our room was hot when we entered but the in room ac cooled it fairly quickly. The toilet ran constantly, the shower curtain had spots of mold, and one of the sheets had burn holes.

The super 8 in Waterloo IL will eventually be the cause of the super 8 franchise being shut down,they are not representing the franchise with integrity and good business practices.i have stayed at quite a few different super 8s because I travel with my daughter for cancer treatment and we enjoy staying at super 8 facilities until we arrived at the super 8 in Waterloo IL they have a total disregard for the health and safety of the customer and they have zero accountability for the wrong doing

This was the worst place I’ve had to stay in for longer than I could remember. The room smelled, the refrigerator leaked (already had a towel under it so a known issue, the bed was uncomfortable, and it felt dirty. We were only in it for about 9 hours and were running out the door as fast as we could to leave.

We checked in on 9/6 and checked out on 9/8. We stayed in room 318 and it was infested with bugs. My partner and I are covered in what look like bed bug bites from our earlobes down to our toes. We have called the hotel 3 times and they will not return our calls. We contacted Expedia and they are still waiting for the hotel to call them back too. We have spent a lot of money now on bug sprays and anti itch ointments and the hotel is ignoring us. We just want someone to take some accountability.

Room was dirty! Had to go to front desk to get kleenex and toilet paper. No air conditioning in common areas and it was hot!! Air was not on in my room when I arrived so I was sweating while getting ready for a wedding. Breakfast was a joke. Only positive was I slept amazingly well.

Well sign says back in 1 min. 15 min later i got checked in.
Tried to take a shower. The water poured out of facet mostly after turning the control to shower which was broken off almost slicing my finger.

Staff was great, the sheets had some stains on them. There’s a bar next door which is awesome and the venue we were attending for the wedding was right next door. Overall the price was good and they said they’d price match any deal found next time. Only thing I’d wish for is a pool but I’m being picky overall a solid 4/5.

After reading reviews I was hesitant to book a room, but after arriving/staying I can say that the poor reviews left are considered false imo. Front desk staff was very nice, our room was well cleaned, and bed’s were comfortable. We didn’t partake in their offered breakfast, but your smaller quick grab and go items were available. I would definitely stay here again should the need arise in the future.

The hair dryer literally caught on fire when i turned it on. There was a big gaping hole in our ceiling with exposed copper pipes and insulation. Our bathroom fan didn't work and the bathroom light flickered. Over night a bunch of the paint on the bathroom ceiling flaked off all over the floor and made a mess. Not much of a breakfast either.

Had to go to Walmart to get Clorox wipes for the shower. It had brown stuff all in it. There was also a plunger in a walmart sack in there. Shower curtain was disgusting. Furniture in the room hadn’t been dusted in a while. They basically had nothing for breakfast (waffles with no syrup, white bread and cereal). Staff was friendly but that’s the only bright side.

Everything was fine but a few little issues. When we first entered the room it smelled like a strong citrus cleaner — not like Lemon Pledge but eye-watering orange. I suspect they had just had it cleaned after an unauthorized pet or smoker. Or perhaps a murder. We opened the window and let it air out for a couple hours while we got dinner and it was OK after that.

Our room was very stinky. There were whiskers in the sink from previous renters. The toilet ran constantly. The beds were very old and lumpy, uncomfortable and hard. The sheets were old and should’ve been replaced a long time ago just like the mattresses. Our pillowcases had stains on them. They put out some muffins that were less than 2 inches in diameter and very few of them. we were there at 7 AM to eat so it’s not like people had already come through and emptied it. The orange juice was out of order the batter for the waffles was very runny and thin. We were in town for my dad‘s funeral, and we did not get enough sleep because we were very uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hotel until it is completely renovated.

This was an absolutely terrible place to stay!! We were married nearby and recommended to many family and friends to stay here, along with ourselves. It was utterly embarrasing! Almost everyone had issues with their rooms! Nasty stained sheets, toilets thay wouldn"t flush and smelly rooms to jusy name a few. No one could get a different room and no efforts were made to fix any of the issues. My parents who are in bad health and older left at 2am to drive home and no one offered to refund anything. After weeks of trying to fight that we were offered "points" as if we would ever consider coming back!! Save yourselves and just pay more to stay in a sleepable room elsewhere!!!

I had reserved 3 rooms in order to attend a family funeral. I was first to arrive at 3:40pm and was told one room was ready but the other rooms were not yet ready because the housekeeper was late. When the rest of my family arrived around 6pm, one of the rooms was still not yet ready. We were leaving for dinner and found that the lock to the door on one of the rooms did not work and the room could not be locked. The front desk provided a temporary fix and passed it off as weak batteries in the door lock. Breakfast was very disappointing as there was no butter for the waffles, only 2 pastries in the case and the coffee was like dishwater. The room itself was ok and comfortable for one night but I would not recommend this property for any extended stay.

Poor bang for the buck

Made reservations through Hotels.com while visiting family, because storm knocked out power to their home. The hotel was ok, but not worth the price paid. Breakfast was practically worthless, since the only protein option was boiled eggs. Once power was restored to my family’s house, I had a very difficult time cancelling remaining two days of the reservation. Eventually they made it happen, but not without an extreme amount of effort. The gentlemen at the hotel desk tried hard and did his best, which I appreciate.

On arrival, we had to wait for approximately 30 minutes while the ONLY luggage cart was located, as we had more luggage than could be comfortably carried. The room was comfortable, though needed maintenance: one set of doors for the closet was housed inside the closet; shower (in the Jacuzzi) could not be adjusted for height, and had a broken shower/tub toggle; fitted sheet looked to be queen sized on the king-size bed. At breakfast, apple juice proved to be pure water and there were only a few pastries left. It appears that staff are very limited as the desk manager replenished breakfast items only by complaint. The four staff that we saw were all more at home in their native language and were difficult to understand and seemed to have trouble understanding English. We requested no room service for our two night stay, yet had to repeat our request when disturbed next morning at 8am. The fitness center on the second floor was 'temporarily' out of order, though the notice to that effect was clearly quite old. The only two benches where one could sit outside were adjacent to overflowing smoker's trays and there were many cigarette butts strewn around. Outside maintenance was further lacking, with many large weeds amongst the landscape rock. We will avoid this location in the future.

The location is great, the mattress was comfortable but the bedding did not fit the bed, fitted sheet came off while we slept and the blanket and top sheet were not large enough. The bath linens are very poor quality. There were stains on the carpets and on the bedspread. We were in town for family so we only slept there so it was tolerable. Internet quality was weak and we kept having to sign on and our last night our password no longer worked. If internet is important you may want to stay elsewhere.

Smole smell - no action

When we walked into the building, it smelled like cigarette smoke.
We reserved a non-smoking room. The desk person tried to give me a smoking room. I said no. Upon entering the room, it smelled like smoke. We noticed that the smoke alarm had been disabled (battery removed). Mentioned it to the front desk. They re3placed the battery, but the alarm was chirping upon our return. I told the desk and they said they don't have additional batteries. We removed the battery in order to sleep.
Every time we returned and entered the hotel, there was a distinct smoke smell.

Booked a queen non-smoking room and was given a twin smoking room that had been converted to non-smoking a few months prior. According to the front desk clerk, the putrid smoke and chemical smell was the old bedding, cigarette burn bedding, carpet and room itself which had not been updated, AT ALL, when converted to non-smoking.
