Walkable distance (10-15min) to the Natural Pool. Most of the staff were supportive but some were rude to guests who didn't speak French. Breakfast was okay, not many options. There is no restaurants, shops around the area, so make sure to bring your own meal if you don't want to dine at the same restaurant for a few days.

A beautiful location almost surrounded by water.
Service was excellent and the staff are very friendly.
The problem for us was the room lighting; it was a like being in a twilight zone ! It was too dim to read a book!
The other problem was that we were unable to access the Internet on our i-Pads in the room, though the phone connection was good.

The overall experience at the Meridien was amazing from the start of our stay till the end. The hotel staff picked us up from the hotel, they also had everything ready for our check-in. The beach is gorgeous and the view amazing. The natural pool is really nice and it is at walking distance. The food was delicious and the size of the serve just right. The staff was also friendly and help us with our requests.

My stay at the méridien was wonderful… I was upgraded to a bungalow and treated like royalty… the bungalow was super well equipped and ultra comfortable. The staff at the hotel was very professional, efficient, and friendly! They did go out of their way to make us feel special… I hope that I get a chance to go back and stay there again, one day

Overall we had a lovely stay at this property but did have some criticism.

Positive: The beach and natural pool (15 min walk) is beautiful! The water is crystal clear, and soft sand. We had a garden view, standard room which was spacious and bed was really comfortable. Lovely pool to relax at during the day or sun loungers on the beach. Also have hammocks in the garden which was lovely to read a book in the shade. Buffet breakfast had a good selection with fresh eggs and pancakes. Some great staff stood out - Marie in restaurant, Corinne at reception and Sebastian/Christian management.

Negative: The food! Very expensive and bland. We skipped lunch entirely because we knew we’d be disappointed so if you’re foodies, I’d avoid New Calendonia entirely as we didn’t have any good food for our entire stay on the mainland either. If you do stay here, the snack menu is the best and you can opt for this at dinner (burger, pasta)! If you’re English speaking, the language barrier can be really challenging. Brush up on your French! We also need the boat excursion to Brosse island, we only saw one turtle but did then the island beach was sensational. Much cheaper to book direct with boat company before you arrive (half the price). We also tried to book a massage but fully booked so pre-book this if interested.

Good things:

- Location - fantastic views of the Bay, great access to Anse Vata and Baie de Citrons

- Facilities - lovely beach and spa, great parking

- Food - Fare restaurant was good, breakfast and room service very average, prices competitive for the fact that this is a \"luxury\" hotel

Disappointments:

- Housekeeping - they don't clean anything or replace things properly, e.g., dirty spoon, coffee cups, empty soap bottles, bathrobes. Despite multiple requests to rectify these problems, it took 2-3 days before they got their act together. Small things but they add up - makes you question the cleanliness and overall standard

- Room design - Nice views and spacious, but the airconditioning is completely ineffective as the vent is right near the door, which means horrendously hot nights during the summer. You sleep effectively with just a fan - not what you want in a luxury hotel

- Inconsistent service - Couple of nice and helpful receptionists, but everyone else is largely ineffective, bordering on unhelpful, you'll have to call at least twice to get anything done

Overall, it seems that they just take it for granted that they are the only “luxury” hotel in Noumea, and don’t do much to prove it. You certainly don’t get what you pay for from such a reputed brand. A less fancy name or place would likely charge you less and do a better job. Disappointing because their other properties in New Caledonia are certainly up to scratch. Very unlikely to return.

Resort is at a beautiful location and the staff are excellent and attentive. The food menu can be expanded and more varied for a 5 star resort. My wife also does not eat seafood so a limited menu became even more limited.

There was no pool during our 8 night stay (especially disappointing since the beach was closed due to shark attacks - not the hotel's fault obviously but made it worse). The alternative was to go to the hotel next door to use their pool but they had very loud construction going on each day. The pool was supposed to be back up and running halfway through our stay but the repairs went very slowly and then they couldn't get the water quality right after it was filled, so it was only opened on the afternoon of our last day! During the last few days there was construction outside out room during the day.

There was a poor selection of evening eating options. We did enjoy the Latitude bar for pre-dinner drinks but even there, scaffolding was erected inside the bar for the last few days!
No compensation was offered by the hotel for the reduced facilities, inconvenience and disruption.
Most of the front desk staff were pleasant and helpful, and did their best to help us with activities and dealing with the airlines during the Isle of Pines airport blockade. Especially Luna, who was very helpful, patient and extremely pleasant to deal with!!! She went out of her way to help me deal with the airline when trying to find out about flight disruptions and re-booking options (which wasn't easy for a non-french speaker). She also did a wonderful job suggesting and arranging activities for us, all of which we enjoyed very much. The activities Luna helped us chose were the highlight of our h

We came here for our honeymoon. I wanted a beautiful beach away from people and noise and Le Meridien exceeded my expectations. The beach view bungalow was spacious and comfortable and we had our own balcony with lounger. I loved the cabanas on the beach and spent a lot of time reading there in peace and quiet. The breakfast buffet was good, similar to other resorts but the french toast was my favourite. The restaurant menu had limited options (no pizza or pasta or curry) but there were interesting specials every day and a wonderful buffet on Saturday. After dinner we would stroll back down the beach with a torch and watch the cute hermit crabs scuttle around. The staff were all lovely and helpful (especially Christian and the guy in the beach fare) even if they found it difficult to understand our kiwi English sometimes. If you like snorkelling you should walk around the sand river to the natural pool at low tide. At high tide you need use fins and to swim out 0.5km into the bay to find coral and lots of fish. Near the rock in the middle of the bay is a good spot. Also between Île Kônubutr and Île Mwâréya I saw turtles. There is also a nice 1 hour walk to Upi bay. It would be good if they had a boat to take you further out for snorkelling. Otherwise you have to take a shuttle to Kuto bay for the boat tour. Overall, it was a lovely place for a honeymoon.

Having visited over 130 countries (and a bundle of beaches), the Meridien at Iles de Pins has to take the crown for the most idilic place anywhere. The amenities are top notch and the beach, sea, azure skies, trees are all entirely breathtaking. Unlike Australia, there are no sharks, no stinging jelly fish, no flies and no crocodiles either. And even the wifi works everywhere! Not cheap but worth every penny.

The location of the property is very exclusive. you can easily spend a whole day on Oro Bay, or pay a visit to Natural Pool. The staffs are all warm and friendly. We traveld with our 21 months old, and the hotel manager did everything he could to help us out with special needs. As he explained, the resort was closed for 2 yrs due to covid, they lost a lot of staffs. They just open up and they have dificulty to hire staff and need to train the new staffs. They will invest the income to bring it up to level. I apreciated the honesty, covid made a big impact to hospitality industry. They deserve some understanding. One thing we don't really agree with is they charge shuttle between the airport. At a such exclusive location and premium room rate, you would expect the hotel to offer free shuttle. Overall, if you want to enjoy private space and breath taking view, this place won't disappoint you.

The hotel itself is not bad, definitely not responding to the stars it has or the price they charge. I did booking for two days, after a month they called me saying that they are gonna have an event so they need to cancel one night of my reservation. Considering how many places are on the island, it’s not best feeling the hotel to cancel one of the nights. Absolutely ridiculous. No one contacted Expedia for a refund, none of the staff knew about my situation, I had to explain over and over again to every member that came to the front desk. At the end I had to deal with the refund for more than an hour just to figure out that no one from the resort ever contacted the expedia. They were trying to convince me that my card was charged just for one night even though I have a proof of the charge for two nights. There was no apology, there’s no even a free transfer to the hotel considering they just got rid of someone just to take more money from someone else. With this type of attitude I’ll definitely not recommend going there seeing no one gave a …. For their customers. The room was clean and spacious with beautiful view. The food at the restaurant is mediocre and overpriced. The drinks were extremely bad. The area around the resort is beautiful just like every part of the island. You can stay in a cheaper place with better beaches and better service.

It’s a beautiful resort, on a bay with crystal clear water. We saw stingrays and turtles out in the bay. Kayaks and paddle boards available at high tide, also snorkeling equipment. Really worth going out on the lagoon around the island(s), water is astounding. We had beachside bungalow, literally 10 metres to the water. Lovely pool.

Dining and cleaning staff super friendly and accommodating with v good English. There is no shop and no other cafes nearby, and there were no bikes available when we were there, so a bit restricting. But NC just reopened after Covid, so we were impressed with how well organised they were, including transfers and checkout. Food was nice, we expected better coffee, but we are pretty fussy.

Would stay again although it’s nearly out of our price range; it was a beautiful holiday.

Paradise !

One of the nicer hotels we have stayed at. Very quiet, yet plenty of activities to keep you busy if you're up for it. The proximity to the Natural Pools was great, and the staff were very helpful in organising airport transfers, the Pirog outrigger canoe tour, etc.
Sebastien (the manager) also made a point of introducing himself which was great, and you can see that there is still plenty to do after the hotel had been closed for 2 years due to Covid. The only constructive criticism I sould make would be that I thought the lunch/dinner menu was a little limited if you were looking for a smaller (for cost effective) meal. Otherwise...fantastic. Hope to get back there again sometime in the future.

Not up to Expectation for the Price

We stayed at the Le Meridian for 4 nights. The hotel itself was rather underwelming for the over NZ$500 per night we paid to stay there. The staff were excellent and tried their best. Breakfast was a highlight with great choices and so was dinner, however it is very expensive. The gym had no towels or water but was adequate for the length of stay. We had to request our room to be serviced on 3 afternoons as it hadn't been done. The pool and outdoor area is very nice along with the beach and surrounds.

Can't Wait to Return

Stunning location on a beautiful lagoon. Our room was large and well appointed with a nice view of the pool area and lovely landscaping. We enjoyed the pool and beach area everyday and loved the games, SUP's and bikes available for us to explore the area and get out snorkeling. The bay is very tidal so you can not swim at all times of day but there are many other options to keep you happy. Breakfast buffet was very nice, and all the tables are set for you to see the beautiful water view. Service was fantastic, all the staff were knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful and cheerful. Grounds were lovingly maintained and the atmosphere peaceful. Dinner was expensive and perhaps not what I would call gourmet, and wine list overpriced for lower quality wines compared to what is available in Noumea. Overall we plan to return to this resort as we loved our 5 day stay and fell in love with Ile des Pins. Wonderful for couples but also for families. Can't wait to return!

Unforgettable place. The location is an utter paradise, sorrounded by nature and in almost complete isolation. It’s an amazing place to relax and enjoy the wonders of nature.

The hotel itself is clean, has a lot of services and super friendly and helpful staff, we loved them!

The food at the hotel is ok. Not great for the most part but ok. Understandable for the geographic restrictions it has. So this wasn’t a big issue.

Overall really liked it, and I’m even thinking of returning soon :).

In the future I’d love to see better guidance on how to discover the sorrounding nature. Maybe add some guided walking tours or hiking trails around the island. This would be a great addition.

Amazing location and nice rooms with comfortable bed. Could have had an incredible stay but it was let down by some of the staff and the quality of the food. Half of the reception and bar staff that I interacted with during my stay were rude and unfriendly. I got the impression they were unhappy and didn’t care about guests. Breakfast buffet was good, but lunches and dinners were greasy and not refined - I felt lethargic after every meal. not worth the high cost. I recommend you try le kou-gny restaurant around the corner which is delicious. I also expected more with basic things - like no soaps in hotel toilets and room not serviced until late in the day. The hotel needs to address this - I have stayed in another Meridien and the contrast in service shocked me - they were so much nicer and seemed to actually care about guests having a good time.

Not a place to relax and enjoy

Hotel is open for day use for non-guests, so expect a busy area with a lot of tourists around, coming from cruises. So you won't be able to find a chair to sit on the beach.
It is quite disappoint because you pay too much to relax and you can't.
I wouldn't stay there again.

Staff were very friendly, place is beautiful and food is amazing, specially the deserts.

Do it

We had an incredible stay, the amenities, rooms, service and food are all first class. My partner has a few food requirements which the hotel was all too happy to work with, and set us up the most wonderful romantic dinner just for us, which of course led to a proposal. I can’t speak highly enough of the staff and the hotel which led to the great time we had there.

Remote and peaceful slice of paradise

I had read some mixed reviews but we found this hotel to be very good. The check in staff were very friendly and welcoming, and all other staff had smiles and a welcoming attitude. We did feel they were somewhat under-staffed during dinner service when a la carte was used. The rooms were clean and very comfortable with wonderful views of the water, and huge bathrooms. Our kids enjoyed the games/library area whilst we enjoyed the happy hour cocktails. The only negatives were the value for money of the food/beverage (seriously expensive for average food) and the inadequate air con in the cardio area of the gym. Oh and check the bike brakes before using them! My 10 year old discovered no brakes when riding down an incline along the Resort pathway from the elevated rooms in the bush. Quite a scare for us all! Overall, a stunning location and we would definitely recommend staying here.

A taste of paradise. Staff were fantastic. Resort was uncrowded with beautifully set out gardens and walkways. Our two adjacent 'forest' rooms were luxurious and well suited to our family of 5 adults. A highlight was the buffet breakfast, which we enjoyed outside overlooking the beach. Access to free snorkeling gear, paddleboards and kayaks was awesome. Everyday we enjoyed the 20 min walk to the 'Naturel Piscine' (using the forest route one way and the beach route on our return).

Beautiful hotel, average service and food

Hotel grounds are beautiful, but it is quite isolated and not easy to get out to other parts of the island (we had a baby and a toddler). You are basically stuck eating in the hotel restaurant for every meal, which is expensive and average. Service is very slow. Otherwise beach and pool are great, lots of water activities.

Great resort, let down by the food on offer & WiFi

Amazing location with great rooms and free activities (snorkelling / kayaking / volleyball etc.)

Slightly ruined by the slow restaurant staff. Although they tried their best, it wasn't very fitting of a 5 star resort. The food was average and prices not reflective of the quality of the food. Granted, we were paying a premium but left feeling a little ripped off.

The WiFi was pretty much non existent during our stay. Hope they fix it by the time you go yourself!

Great, Private location

Stayed 4 night here on our babymoon. Beautiful spot but could do with some improvements.

The beach area was great, clear water just very shallow.

Breakfast buffet was hit & miss, most hot food was cold and flies all over the raw meats & fruits.

Breakfast / dinner staff didn’t have any idea of service, some times we would get forgotten and have to get up to get attention so we could order.

The communication was terrible when coming to dinner if it was buffet or menu, could do with a Dailey news letter stating this, we were told only buffet tonight but then see people order off the menu.

Buffet was very expensive for what you got.

5 Nights Stay -be prepared to spend LOTS of money!

We stayed in the waterfront bungalow for 5 nights. Firstly the location is spectacular, with a beautiful beach and surrounding natural sites. Though if you are use to the beaches/natural beauty/cuisine/culture of Australia, other parts of the pacific and SE Asia it might not live up to expectation especially given how expensive it is.

It is a good place to relax for a few days as the resort is fairly quiet and if you have no car etc the resort is very remote and nothing of any real note is close by.

I did find the place hideously expensive and the quality of the food in the restaurant is very average. (a trend i found across New Caledonia) The buffet breakfast was excellent though.

I also found the resort lacked atmosphere especially in the evening some low key live music or some sort of traditional music/dancing etc would have been great.

Nice it was on the beach but you are not allowed to do any water activities as it is subject to tides, so only the pool are pay lots of money for excursion during the day the tide was not high untill 1pm everyday so rather boring. Nice hotel, facilities and beach are wonderful

For the price it was disappointing.

Staff do not take initiative ie breakfast
Bar empty and not filled up until you tell them that there is nothing left. If you wanted eggs you had to tell the staff but there was no indication that you could order. It took talking to other guests to figure this out. So many guests had no idea what was happening - not much English spoken or understood

Unbelievable position

This hotel has one of the most beautiful settings I have ever seen. The island is also stunning. If you can live with poor wi fi and a chef who takes longer to scramble an egg for breakfast than it takes to grow a chicken, you will love this place. Also you need to love beautiful beaches and scenery otherwise not alot else to do. You also need to adapt to the slowness of pacific life.

The perfect getaway - beautiful

Idyllic spot that feels like a true getaway. Arriving at night is very special as the grounds are all lit up. We were very fortunate to get an updgrade to a villa, which even had a view of the beach through the trees. The beach isn't much good for swimming as it is very tidal and shallow. We went out in a pedal boat on the mid-tide and saw two turtles! The staff were kind and Corrine was very welcoming and friendly.

The resort has tranquil gardens and sits on a shallow bay with clear blue waters and white sand. Lots of activities are available and free. We took the kayak a couple of times and went exploring. Paddling straight out and around the left bend we found lots of turtles. We also visited the natural pools and saw fish, coral and a Moray eel. Recommend the boat trip though upi and walk through forest
The food is a little pricey (we brought snacks, cheese and wine over with us on the plane Nouméa). Airport transfers were quick and easy. Great staff.

Ok. shallow beach, wifi lobby only. food average

Nice location, lovely gardens and nice ocean view room. Very few insects, no mosquito bites!

Ocean view Room was well appointed apart from no internet, good shower, comfy bed, nice outside loungers. Very private. Quiet aircon.

Food was ok but not great, we had venison, beef rib for two, fish, burgers, ceviche (chewy), beef carpaccio. Meat cuts not tender. a bit disappointing given 5 star. Breakfast options extensive. Coffee reasonable, espresso had good crema..

No wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby.

Beach is very shallow making swimming difficult in front of the resort. At high tide it's barely waist deep. You can't swim at low tide. Walk to the natural pool 15-20 minutes for good swimming and snorkelling.

Staff attentive and friendly. Maître de typed up a list of restaurant recommendations for us in Numea which have proved to be very good. Much appreciated. Food in Numea much better.

Although boat excursions were advertised they were not available during our 4 day stay so no fishing or free diving.

Good library and games room. Good paddle boards, kayaks etc.

Expensive but we knew it would be so not a criticism.

Overall a pleasant and relaxing stay but I'll choose somewhere else next time

Relaxing beach holiday

We had a wonderful 5 nights at this resort. The location is amazing, and in the end we never even left the resort (apart to walk to the Natural Pool, which is stunning)! The breakfast is excellent. The resorts facilities are great and it didn't feel overcrowded. There are a number of beach lounges and pavillions available to the guests, and there were always some available for us to use. Likewise with the beach facilities (sea kayaks, peddle boats, paddle boards, badminton etc). We saw a number of turtles and even dolphins in the bay out the front of the resort. The meals for lunch and dinner aren't cheap, however the quality is excellent. We didn't have a beachfront or riverfront bungalow (just a standard garden-view room); however it was great and we didn't spend a huge amount of time in the room anyway. We would definitely recommend this resort for a relaxing, romantic getaway!

The best we saw on the Isle of Pines

The Isle of Pines is a quiet place. The Meridian is a most pleasant hotel and beautifully situated. I feel it is the best place to stay on the island. The natural aquarium is a 20 minute walk and is particularly lovely for swimming and snorkeling. The food and drinks are expensive and taxis are very expensive.
However, it is a special place and great for swimming and relaxing.

Lovely hotel. Stunning location close to the natural pool and right on the beach. Meals and drinks were expensive but that was to be expected given the remote location and lack of viable alternatives.

A bit of a trek from the Intl Airport in Noumea with all the transfers. Difficult to get good information on what connections work and what don't from the staff via email prior to the trip. That said the staff were great in organizing the transfers between airports and to/from the hotel.

No swimming allowed.

My girlfriend and I had planned a relaxing weekend away and booked a last minute trip to New Caledonia. We wanted a place with a great pool as we had planned a photo shoot for a new business. Knowing nothing about the place, we booked flights and this hotel, only to realise the hotel was not on the mainland. I called to see how best to get here, and the staff were helpful and gave me instructions on how to fly down. They offered to transfer one night to Le Meridien Noumea so we could make our international flight home, which was nice.

When we got to the hotel, we were notified the pool was closed for maintenance for the entire duration of our stay, and had been closed when we booked. We were thoroughly disappointed. We could no longer do the photoshoot we had planned. Some staff were friendly, and others not so much. Some days we were allowed drinks on the beach and other days we weren't.

Before transferring up to Le Meridien Noumea I asked at front desk if the pool was open at the other hotel, which they told me it was. When we arrived I asked again, and was again told the pool was open. We got up the next morning and looked out the window, and the pool had been emptied and now this pool was closed for maintenance.

We flew out later that day, disappointed that we couldn't swim for the entire of the trip, especially considering the hotel would have been aware of the maintenance before the trip was booked and didn't think to tell us. Definitely not a 5 star experience.

Island serenity, stunning location, great resort

We had a wonderful family holiday here. It truly is the closest you can get to paradise- peaceful, relaxing, stunning natural location and beautiful resort. We stayed in beach view bungalows that were beautifully appointed and well serviced. Staff looked after us well from the moment of landing on the island, with transfers to the resort to leaving. The resort pool is lovely. Tour of the island was great. Happy hour provided excellent cocktails at good prices, the dinners were good but a little expensive. The overall stay isn't cheap, but well worth it if you want a luxurious, relaxing holiday away from the noise and bustle of city life.

3 star at best

Overpriced and under staffed hotel in need of refurb. No evidence of manager on-site which might explain absence of staff education and poor service across the board. Room service dinner plates still on porch the following lunch time ... licked clean by cats with weeping conjunctivitis!
We had booked most expensive room (beachside bungalow). Room not ready at 3 pm. No-one to show us where our room was. No bags `til 4pm. Collected our own from luggage room without having to show ID. No turn-down.
Breakfast was poor. Scarcely any tropical fruit. No-one to explain breakfast set-up. Gas heaters had blown out so pancakes, french toast, scrambled eggs etc ... even colder than the swimming pool !
Good advice ... 2 night stay only, take your own wine, do visit the private pool, don`t visit Vao.
Best advice ... avoid eye contact of cats bonking next to breakfast table. Maybe it didn`t have conjunctivitis after-all !!

We stayed three nights and were upgraded to the waterside bungalow. The room and hotel was beautiful and always very clean. The staff could not have done more for us and we're always very polite and helpful. There are dozens of activities to do on th island some at a cost and others within the hotel that were free including snorkelling, kayaking, paddle boarding, outdoor sports equipment and a large range of DVDs and game boards. Weather was perfect, a smaller resort than I imagined, not high season so not too many people. More isolated than
I expected, the village on the island was quite small.
We stayed the same weekend as a party of 70 odd French folk, who were there celebrating an anniversary, they got
quiet rowdy later on and partied on till the early hours. I liked the fact that the resort and staff tolerated this party with

Best Choice on Island

Nice Hotel, with great amenities. Room was very comfortable. The food was terrible. Breakfast is the only tolerable meal. I've had rubbery fish, tasteless pasta and soggy salad for three days straight with little other options unless you have transportation to one of the other few resorts on the island. All of the male staff were wonderful, helpful and spoke excellent english. Some of the servers were very, very rude and unhelpful. The low tide in the afternoons made it difficult to swim and snorkel off the beach, definitely a low point.

Amazing Spot, treat yourself to paradise!

We absolutely loved our time here!
The staff were great, the location is second to none and because they have really thought out the the spacing bungalows and whole resort, the place isn't over crowed and you can always find a sunbed or enjoy the water activities.
The only thing that was slightly disappointing was the mango rice & seasonal vegetable dish (especially for the price), it had almost no mangoes & only a couple of slices of vege, but the appetizers & homemade fish & chips were so good they made up for it.
All in all, thanks to a great deal we had 3 amazing nights here.
Thank you so much to all the staff for a wonderful stay & I would love to come back!

8 nights in paradise

We visited Isle of Pines for 8 nights for our honeymoon and stayed in a deluxe room. Upon arrival, we noticed it overlooked the pool/dining area and were worried it might be loud, but it was peaceful. Lovely views of the ocean and pool.

You have to make a booking for dinner each night, so perhaps make a reservation before you arrive, as we didn't get to eat until about 8pm the 1st day.

The room was very spacious and clean. We received a welcome bottle of wine and chocoate ball.

Buffet breaky is included. Given the french influence, I ended up really enjoying the fresh pastries and breads, cheeses and cold cuts etc. The hot food is ok and a variety of juices and jams.

You can then have lunch and dinner. There is a wide selection and it was all very tasty. The bill does add up though so might be worth bringing some snacks with you to the island. See below re: service. Make sure you try some of the ice creams.

For activities, they offer paddle boards, kayaks and snorkling gear (unfortunately the bulk these were broken). They don't give you reef shoes, so perhaps buy them before (though I just wore thongs in and that was ok). It is tidal there, so only high tide suitable for paddle boards.

A must visit is the natural pool (~20 min walk). We went there about 4 times for lots of snorkling.

We walked to Upi Bay. It was beautiful, but not many fish (though maybe went to the wrong spot). Also had a day trip to climb the Peak and Kuto bay was worth seeing.

Best Hotel in Ile des Pins

Excellent and helpful staff. Breakfast was nothing special compared to other Meriden hotels. Bed was too soft for us. Pool and grounds were nice and the natural pool nearby was great. Food and drink prices were extremely high but the food was good and especially the venison steaks which were fantastic and the escargot also. No snorkelling in front of the hotel but good snorkelling if you took the shuttle bus to Kuta (2900 Francs pp). A somewhat high priced hotel but best on the island.

Paradise with quality hospitality

This resort lies in an indescribably beautiful setting and has exceptional customer service. Sadly it's at the mercy of its main transport provider Aircalin. Our flight to Ile des Pins was delayed by 2 hours and our return flight to Noumea was moved forward by 4 hours. If I hadn't checked my email I would never have known. Resort staff said it happens all the time. We had planned an activity on our last morning and the flight change meant this couldn't happen. We told Julien, one of tje waiters who offered to help. One of his colleagues had a connection at the airline and early the next morning actually went to the local Aircalin office and changed our flight to a later one (for a small fee charged by the airline and no expense from the resort). This made a huge difference and was deeply appreciated.
