The room was okay, however the beds had cheap and bouncy mattresses, uncomfortable pillows. The property is tired in general, but still is the best compared to all other options on the island. Set in a nice garden on a beautiful bay with lots of corals. The staff were helpful. The worst was the food at the restaurant for lunch and dinner - everything was overcooked, little choice, same every day. Breakfast was satisfactory in general.

Beautiful location. Quite a bit of disrepair though and facilities remained closed eg beach bar and lounge. Our bathroom had signs of rotting wood around the tub. The staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly, especially as the weather was not the best for our arrival. Comfortable beds. Food was lovely. I would absolutely return as the location is fantastic. Superb beach access. With a little more TLC this would be perfect.

This is arguably the best location to stay on Pine Island. The Piscine Natural is rated the top spot to visit on the island - yet the colourful coral and fish were better in the water off this resort.
This is a 4 star resort, although apart from a little aging, it is hard to fault. Not many resorts have pools - so this was an added bonus.
It felt like we had the hotel and island pretty much to ourselves with only a handful of guests staying. (the recent riots have kept tourists away, although could see no evidence on the island of unrest and all was calm).
Food was not cheap any where really, so be prepared to pay 'fine dining' prices at restaurants (except perhaps for pizza etc at Gite Nataiwatch next door).
The only criticism/disappointment was that with only a handful of guests in the whole resort, that an upgrade to an ocean front villa, instead of the garden one we booked, might have taken our stay to a whole other level, but that said, our garden villa was only steps away from the beach and was just lovely. (they should also reduce the cost of renting a bike)
I always like to know about beds when I read reviews as we love a soft bed, Oure's bed's were a happy medium - not too soft and not too hard, we had absolutely no trouble falling asleep each night :)
I HIGHLY recommend going to Pine Island and staying here - truly an exceptional untouched place on this earth - with lots of sea turtles too! :)

We really enjoyed our stay here. Staff at the front desk were always so lovely and spoke great English. Room was great and cleaners did a good job keeping it clean, we got it quite sandy one day and they did a great job cleaning. Beach was AMAZING, better than any of the beaches visited in New Caledonia including private beach at the Hilton resort. Free kayak and other sports equipment was great and the man to book these through was really nice and even saw dolphins at the beach one day and came running out to tell everyone. Wifi wasn’t great, was slow and would disconnect but when you have a beach so great right there you won’t want it. Staff at restaurants were a little bit of of let down, due to location of lodge and not having much on the island you are left with no choice to go to the restaurant at the resort, there was no menu and each time we wanted to order something the staff would just say one or two things they could cook and didn’t know the price, they weren’t too friendly and didn’t speak any English apart from one really lovely lady. We stayed for two nights and spent three days doing nothing else but sitting on the loungers at the beach and swam. Would definitely go back and highly recommend to anyone else

Wonderful property but needs attention

Gorgeous location perfect for unwinding and relaxation. Their breakfast, food quality and menu choices are poor and expensive for their quality, and service was particularly slow compared to other superior choices in the island. Some of their facilities need repair (table tennis not usable), landscaping needs better upkeep.

World class location but sub- standard service.

The beachside location is amongst the best ever with coral off the beach fringed by beautiful trees. The cabins were lovely, private and clean set in beautiful gardens. Two onsite restaurants, served very expensive and unimaginative meals. In the restaurants we found the stray dogs at our elbows, the chicken families around our feet and the cats snatching food from the service areas very confronting. The non-stop Kanaka rap, rock and wail pulsating day and night was wearisome. The staff provided unenthusiastic service. The good memories from our first stay weren't repeated.

Pros: It’s very well located next to a beautiful beach and surroundings. Staff are welcoming and always willing to help. Breakfast is adequate but you have to be quick because many items run out (and bread is no t fresh).
Cons: The rooms are rather old and tired. They need updating. The food is very expensive and servings are small.

We stayed here for the surroundings and quiet and were not disappointed. A few seconds walk from our bungalow to a beautiful beach, with fish, coral and turtles. Hotel is set in a lovely garden with lots of birds.
We had a large bungalow just back from the beach; spacious & very comfortable. (A few of the other rooms were smaller and were half rather than a full bungalow. From memory this is not obvious when booking)
Breakfast was good. Being a small resort there is one restaurant for dinner and there are limited alternatives within walking distance. Dinner was also good and was priced as you would expect from a resort.
Tap water is not drinkable. The hotel provided a large bottle per day.
Staff were friendly and helpful, but many have limited English, so communication requires some patience.
Be sure to pre-book airport and particularly ferry transfers via e-mail. We pre-booked and had no problems.

We stayed at the room right in front of the beach and the view was absolutely stunning. The price was a little steep but the room was beautiful and it's worth every penny. The shower faucet was broken but we had no problem using it. The only negative aspect is that they didn't respond to my inquiry sent via email and they charged for the transportation to and from the hotel which is unusual for a four star hotel. Overall, we had an amazing time at the hotel. I would highly recommend the place.

It was a beautiful location and the rooms were nice and clean, however the rooms did need some maintenance- painting, cleaning of light switches. The food was good but not fabulous and very expensive if you are Australian (the exchange rate is poor). Go to breakfast early as items run out and are not restocked or left to dry out. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I couldn’t stay at the hotel actually. Due to some trouble with the room I was supposed to stay, I was transferred to the other hotel which wasn’t as good as this hotel.
At the reception, it was unpleasant experience with an receptionist. She was quite rude. I was told that the room would be ready at 13 o’clock when I arrived. When it was at 13 o’clock, I went to the reception and gave the keys even though the room (eventually I couldn’t stay) wasn’t really ready. I might as well have taken rent-a-bicycle which was the cost should be 1,500CFP but she told me 3,000CFP. After coming back to the hotel from my short trip, the hotel manager offered me a dinner at the restaurant but I was paid the all cost of the restaurant even though I was offered!!!

Lovely hotel, settings, clean. Bathroom was a bit dated but otherwise OK.
The only issue we had was with the service, which was pretty average. We booked a room with breakfast included (written on the confirmation) and when we checked out they wanted to charge us for it, arguing that it wasn't included in the price. I'm not sure if it was a mistake by hotels.com or the hotel but as a customer, it's not really my problem. As far as I was concerned, I had a confirmation for a room with breakfast and that's what I paid for.
We argued for a while and after waiting at the reception for 45 min, they decided not to charge us.
This is pretty bad customer service really, which was a bit disappointing considering we had a great stay otherwise..

Absolutely stunning location. We had a beach bungalow, which was very spacious inside and out and very special. Sunset over the bay is breathtaking. The hotel is very clean and the staff are all very friendly. The service can be a bit hit and miss in the restaurant, which is also very expensive and effectively the only place to eat dinner. We tried to eat at two neighbouring hotels to break up the monotony of eating at the same place, but they all declined to give us a reservation on account of not being guests of those hotels. Breakfast is disappointing in quality and the rather lackadaisical approach to clearing and cleaning after others have finished, though this was a trait we noticed all over New Caledonia. It is very off-putting to come to breakfast to find almost every table covered in used crockery and utensils that are not cleared regularly by staff. It also limits the ability to find anywhere to sit.

The resort is located on the best beach on the island. Just 5 meters away, you can snorkel onsite. You can see more here compared to the natural swimming pool. Food is a bit expensive but it's a tourist attraction so nothing we didn't expect it. Also you have a lot of options for food in the location. Overall it's really amazing and would come back again for sure.

Very nice property but limited food options

We really like the location and the property of this hotel. Lots of big trees. The beach is gorgeous. Unfortunately, when we were there it rained quite a lot. So, we had to stay in but our bungalow was nice. So that was not too bad.

Staff were generally nice but Toni was our favorite, as he was always so cheerful and helpful.

As others have mentioned, the food was very expensive and was not that great. The menu does not inspire. Nor does it change. So if you are staying for many days, it is worth venturing out to other places for food but the island is quite big. Car rental might be necessary.

Beware of the tourists from the cruise ship who arrive en masse and occupy the beautiful beachfront and disrupt the peace and quiet. Check their cruise schedule before you book.

A beautiful romantic getaway

We checked into this resort for a six-day stay, and just loved it, for many reasons. It was in a beautiful setting, we had a bungalow metres from the beach, the snorkelling was good, and the staff were mostly very helpful.

However, a couple of downsides. The wifi was very poor - often couldn't log on at all. And the food. While the a la carte dining in the evening was excellent, the breakfast spread was not. Cold \"hot\" food - every morning - and the fresh fruit and yoghurt were rationed to the point of our having to ask for it from the staff. Ditto spoons with which to eat the yoghurt - every morning! No sign of non-sugary cereals, no wholemeal or grain bread - just a ton of white bread and pastries.

We also would have appreciated more information about La Piscine Naturelle, which we visited in the resort's minibus. No information about the entry fee (we almost didn't take any money with us), how to get in there, or the fact that there were no toilets or facilities. Having said that, it was stunningly beautiful.

Hotel food was poor quality and over priced. No alternative but to eat at their restaurant. Breakfast buffet Scrambled eggs were re-heated from previous day, lunch calamari was inedible.

Nice grounds great location nice bungalows. Restaurant not great but ok. A few of the waitresses were so slow and forgetful. Felt like we were disturbing them each we asked for something. One lunch we waited over 1 hr for a burger and it finally arrived cold.

Pretty sure bed had mites!!

Boats excursions dont offer life jackets for kids.

Minor complaints though. On the whole would recommend it for 3 to 4 days.

Gorgeous bungalows on the beach

Arriving on a perfect day we were taken to our bungalow via a golf cart. Besides the fact the bungalow was sizeable we noticed how clean the room smelled and looked. We spent 3 nights at the resort. The staff were awesome. The food in the restaurant at night was perfectly cooked, maybe a teeny bit on the pricier side. We spent most of our time snorkeling in the coral reefs which were a few steps into the water from the resort. A truly relaxing time was had amongst flora and birdlife. We wished we were staying longer.

A wonderful spot worth the effort

Overall, our stay at Oure Tera was lovely with the exception of being inundated on one day by 3000 people who hopped off a passing cruise ship for a day on the Iles des Pins. The location can really be likened to a desert island and is a slice of paradise with a local feel (not the same same international hotel feel you get on the main island). If you want to get away from the crowds and enjoy some peace and quiet, this place is fantastic. The bungalows are simple but well-appointed, however a little outdated. Beware, the high price tag for the room does not mean everything is included. If you eat at the resort, enjoy a few drinks during the day, and go on a tour or two, expect to at least double the cost of your stay. That said, we felt it was worth the cost for a few days of our New Caledonia holiday.

The location is first class for swimming, snorkelling and generally relaxing. Excursions to other parts of the island are also a must.... Piscine Naturelle is one of the best pools in the world. Its just very difficult to engage most of the staff in a conversation in English. The level of service suffered as a result. Staff were often shy and would not engage until cornered into a conversation. We also found that we sat in the bar waiting for drinks whilst jovial locals we well attended to. Watch the prices at the bar also.

The room exceeded expectations. Flower arrangements on our first night was a nice touch. Staff had no sense of urgency but that's just New Caledonia. The bay nearby was stunning...quite idyllic until the cruise ship passengers arrived. Grounds well-kept. The pool was too warm!! Good snorkelling from hotel which was the best part. Magnifique escapade à l'île des pins

Cet hôtel est un havre de paix situé sur une plage paradisiaque. Le personnel est très agréable, discret et attentionné et de bon conseil pour organiser vos excursions, notamment baie d'UPI.

とにかく静かでキレイな施設です。超人気の観光地に、こんな静かなところってあるの？と驚いたぐらいです。
元々小さな島なので、周辺もジャングルのようで、最寄りのミニスーパーも2.5km程歩く感じです。

スタッフは、とても親切で明るく、対応も丁寧です。併設のレストランに日本語が少しできる方がいて、楽しくオーダー取ってもらいました。
併設のレストランからお部屋までは敷地内とはいえ、日が落ちるとスマホの懐中電灯機能無くしては帰れないほど、草木しげる真っ暗道でした。

ただ残念だったのが、アメニティがシャンプーリンスしかなかったことかなぁ？
美味しいウェルカムドリンクは美味しかったけど、お部屋のエアコン初期設定温度が17℃でビックリ。環境に配慮してもイイんだけどなぁ...

L’hôtel bénéficie sans nul doute d’un des plus beau site de l’île et se fond à merveille dans le paysage. Les bungalows plage offrent par ailleurs une très belle vue. La restauration est de qualité avec toutefois un bémol sur le renouvellement de la carte qui n’est pas au rendez-vous puisqu’en 4 jours, les plats proposés sont restés les mêmes, ce qui nous a conduit à déserter le restaurant le dernier soir, par lassitude.

Rapport qualité/prix médiocre : les prestations sont très en deçà des attentes pour un hôtel 4*.
Le site reste magnifique mais ne compense pas les manquements du service et de l’accueil.
Les bungalows sont fort heureusement propres mais restent sans charme.

Largement surestimé.

Le service est très lent.
Les employés sympathiques sauf un ou deux.
La nourriture snack et petit déjeuner horribls!! Les œufs et croissants datent d’une semaine...
Le service blanchisserie m’a abîmé un polo ...et rendu le linge tout tamponné.
Je n’irai plus.

ディナーブュッフェに出たエスカルゴは、ルメリディアンのより味、食感、大きさよしで美味しかった！夕陽がとにかく最高!な場所。

目の前のビーチでのシュノーケルは、ピッシンヌナチュレルよりも魚が多いし、水も冷たくないしで、6歳のわが子も長時間楽しめました。

設備や対応に関しては、ルメリディアンに比べるとかなり劣ります。ベッドマットレスの質、シャワールームのフックが壊れたまま、フロントへ電話しようにも壊れていて繋がらず、レセプションのスタッフはいつも笑顔なし…食事はなかなか美味しいです。オリジナルのサラダドレッシングがお気に入り。

2日目はビーチの向こう側に大型客船が寄港。その乗客たちで海もビーチもごった返し、静かな景観が様変わりしました。静寂を楽しみたい方は、寄港スケジュールもチェックされた方がいいです。

Nicht zu empfehlen

Man weiss nicht so recht wo anfangen. Die Lage des Hotels ist super, toller Strand, toller Garten und das Essen am Abend kann man nur empfehlen. Leider war es das dann auch schon. Das Wort \"Service und Dienstleistung\" ist ein absolutes Fremdwort. Man wird nicht angesehen, wird nur bedient, wenn man darum bittet und wenn man bedient wird mit einer \"warum müssen Sie mich beim nichts tun stören\" Einstellung. Es gab eine Bedienung die sehr freundlich war (leider kennen wir Ihren Namen nicht) - aber wenn Sie dort sind und von Ihr bedient werden, wissen wen wir meinen. Wir waren für den 24.12.2019 am Weihnachtsessen. Die Preise (vor allem Alkohol) sind ja grundsätzlich masslos überteuert. Das Essen an den Abenden war sehr gut!! Das Weihnachtsessen war ein Buffet für ca. 12950XPF exkl. Getränke. Masslose abzockerei. Die Zimmer sollten dringen renoviert werden (Wir waren 3 Nächte in einem Gartenzimmer - Es fühlte sich an als wären unsere Nachbarn in unserem Zimmer). Für uns absolut kein 4* Standart und daher auch nicht zu empfehlen. Das Personal sollte dringend auf Freundlichkeit und Service geschult werden.

ホテルにメールで依頼すれば、空港からの往復送迎を2人片道1000フランでやってくれる。イルデパン空港からの足がないので重宝する。
10時発の島内観光ツアーもやっている。

無料の朝食バイキングはクロワッサンが美味しかった。昼夕食は有料だが、どれも美味しかった。食事は大まかにランチ2000円、ディナー3000円。

部屋はコテージタイプ。それぞれ独立しているので、プライベート感があってよかった。部屋自体もよぁったが、初日に風呂にお湯を貯めた際に1/4くらいで部屋の水が全て止まった。30分程度で勝手に復旧したが、このトラブル以外はとてもいいい部屋だった。

コテージ群の目の前がカヌメラビーチで徒歩で行ける。クトビーチへは2km程度あるので自転車レンタルおすすめ。サイクリングは探検みたいで楽しい。

レセプションのおばさん、、

レセプションの地元民のような中年のおばさんがいたのですが、とても威圧的でこわかったです。
英語があまりできない日本の方は萎縮していました。
他の若いスタッフ達はとても感じもよく親切でした。

部屋に関してはティッシュが空で、電話しても持ってきてはくれませんでした。

ロケーションは最高です。バーや朝食を取るところは雰囲気がありおしゃれでした。

Schöne Lage an einem tollen Strand, kostenlose SUPs und Kajaks.
Der Bungalow, besonders das Badezimmer, war jedoch ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Wir hatten außerdem einen Doppelbungalow mit Verbindungstür. Es war dadurch sehr hellhörig.
Das Essen im Restaurant war überteuert wie auch insgesamt das ganze Hotel. Diesen Preis bezahlt man nur, weil es kaum andere Möglichkeiten gibt, aber gerechtfertigt ist der Preis leider nicht.

Magnifique hotel

Hotel magnifique sur la baie de Kanumera. Le bungalows sont tres propres et bien agences avec un acces en quelques secondes a la baie de Kanumera qui est l'une des plus belles plages de l'ile des pins.
Je recommende cet hotel pour tout sejour sur l'ile des pins.
Nous avons fait 2 nuits a Oure Lodge et 2 nuits au Meridien et nous ferions exactement la meme chose si c'etait a refaire.

One of the best stay in my life!

One of the best hotel stay in my life!
A bit off of the domestic airport, you’ll get a shuttle transport service provided by hotel with charge.

The room is very specious and clean. Especially bathroom is extraordinary tidy and you feel quite comfortable. Private beach is 3-min from my room and we enjoyed kayaking for free of charge.

Dinner is another wonderful point of this accommodation! Rooster and escargot were also astonishing.

Nothing I could’ve asked for the service this hotel serves us.

Location de vélos possible. Excursions à la demande

Au total excellent séjour en notant un prix de repas élevé, comme c’est la règle en Nouvelle-Calédonie
