Very beautiful property. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay a memorable one. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are well designed and the food at the restaurant was great. There was not a whole lot to do within walking distance. But a lot to see and do on the island via tours. I would do this again.

Our stay at the InterContinental Cabrits Resort & Spa Dominica was nothing short of extraordinary — a truly unforgettable experience that exceeded every expectation.
The leadership here is exceptional. Special thanks to Ramy, whose energy, vision, and constant presence throughout the property are clearly driving this resort to a world-class level. He is always visible, engaged with staff and guests, improving processes and ensuring best guest experiences — a true example of Jim Collins’ philosophy of putting the right person in the right role. His emotional intelligence, sharp intellect, and tireless commitment set the tone for a culture of genuine care and excellence.

What was meant to be a two-week stay quickly turned into a full month. That alone says everything.

The culinary experience is exceptional. Chef Hussein creates miracle dishes infused with creativity, precision, and so much heart — every meal feels personal and prepared with care and love. The five course Valentine’s Day dinner was an extraordinary masterpiece. A true fine dining experience in both taste and presentation, one would find in the finest restaurants. Chef Banda is equally remarkable — consistently excellent and always eager to make guests happy, no matter the request. Their care and dedication transformed dining into one of the highlights of our stay. They also went far above and beyond to accommodate my special dietary restrictions.

The property is beautiful! Rooms nice and comfortable! The breakfast buffet delicious! Only problem we had was the communication with concierge to book ahead of time tours and where not advised how much extra money was to enter national parks, poor communication on that part! The rest amazing

Beyond the great onsite restaurants, the wonderful spa, beautiful rooms and outstanding views of the water and the mountains, were the lovely and engaging team members from the attendants that greeted you to the front desk to every member of the resort, all were friendly and helpful.

From the moment I walked in the door I felt welcomed and appreciated. Everyone and everything was top notch, food was excellent, drinks were delicious, grounds and gardens are beautifully maintained, pools clean and inviting. The room was clean and well appointed. I will definitely be back.

I had a great week long stay for my honeymoon in mid October 2025. There are a lot of things to love. The setting is breathtaking, surrounded by lush green mountains and beautiful blue ocean. The grounds themselves are impressively maintained with colorful plants everywhere. It's basically a botanical garden. The staff were very kind and attentive. The pools were large and clean. Their shoreline is rocky, but we were able to do some snorkeling near their pier and saw a surprising amount of wildlife. If you want sandy beaches, there are a couple public options close by; they even have a walking trail to one of them. It was not yet peak tourism season on the island, so the resort was pretty slow, with seemingly only a handful of other guests. This meant that even with some live music at nights, the vibe was a bit dead, so we spent more time than expected in our room in the evenings. I assume at a busier time there would be a more lively vibe. Dinners and drinks were good. We also enjoyed a handful of restaurants nearby if you want to change it up. All in all, this resort is a great place to mix in some relaxation and luxury on an island that otherwise calls you to get out and explore.

The grounds are beautiful, lush, and peaceful. The resort feels secluded without feeling isolated. Everything is clean, modern, and well-designed. The staff? Incredible. Everyone we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell they care about the guest experience.

The food was one of the biggest surprises of all. Every single meal was incredible. Breakfast each morning felt like a treat with options like saltfish, corned beef and Johnny cakes, Trinidadian doubles, and traditional American breakfast too. The lunch and dinner menus also delivered.

The rooms were clean, stylish, and very comfortable. But the real standout for me was the spa. It was absolutely stunning. The treatment rooms are set up like individual private bungalows, almost like little spa villas. You actually walk outside to get to your room, which adds to the tropical luxury feel. Inside, the rooms are spacious and serene with high-end touches.

Another great feature was being able to charge taxis to the room, which made things so easy when I didn’t have enough cash on hand.

One review I read claimed this resort was a “far second” to Secret Bay. I have to strongly disagree. I visited Secret Bay during my trip and while it’s beautiful, the InterContinental’s pool is way better, the grounds are easier to get around, and the level of service is just as high.

This resort is a gem. I would 100% come back and I recommend it to everyone. If you’re on the fence, go. You won’t regret it.

Restaurant service was terrible.

The hotel is stunningly beautiful, clean and accommodating. The main issue was food and beverage service. The staff had no clue on how to wait on tables, present menus, serve beverage or food. We waited 45 minutes for 4 drinks only to be brought one, told two weren’t available and had to wait again for the last. It was disappointing at best. Food was good but they need training in their restaurants!

The resort is beautiful but the price is so high only 10 peope there. The staff don't know customer service and I was informed by the locals up the street that none of the staff were trained at the hotel and was just thrown into their position, so if i were you, i wouldn't bother wasting money or time. They don't have any events at the hotel but a sunday brunch gathering. The pool closes at 6pm everyday and only one restaurant is open with the beach restaurant only open for 5 hours. Fries are $10 US and they burnt our fries til the point they were not edible. Everything and everyone is very inconsistent. Nothing is the same the next day, which includes service, food, etc. I will never stay at this hotel again especially because I love to stay in nice hotels, and this was suppose to be a 5 star hotel but was more like 1 star. I am begging you to save your money. We travel a lot and have never experience this at a hotel or resort. All of the food should automtically be included in your stay because that is how bad the service is, how much food they lack at the restaurant, and how they are overpricing the hotel because they refuse to promote it. They were out of wings and theu are unable to give timeframe for when they will have again. They are unable to give timeframe for anything and do not accompdate in any area. The wings were out the whole 2 weeks. The wifi was out which is connected to TV service in room and for you to use your personal phone. They were very rude.

The hotel is magical, just as it looks in the photo…..Everyone is super friendly and very helpful …The only meal I had was breakfast and it was delicious…. One thing though after paying all that money a night at least meals should be part of it but despite my one only hiccup sadly it has to end but enjoyed my stay immensely….I will definitely be back in the future….

The room was superb. The pool is excellent. There is one restaurant for breakfast with a buffet, and one restaurant for dinner. It did not have everything on the menu, and I found it pricey, although the food was good. Service was very slow, although I didn't mind - I wasn't in a hurry.

There were so few people (<15) checked in to the resort that they could not justify keeping more than one restaurant open, and sometimes there were no restaurants open. The food was presented nicely but not up to expectations since they also couldn't justify a top rated chef. I felt bad for them. The staff was, however, attentive and helpful.

The IHC was amazing, the property and staff were top rate. The pools were the highlight, and no one was there! Breakfast was great and the oatmeal was like nothing I have had before, who knew oatmeal could be so good! The staff was incredibly friendly, and the views were unbelievable. Would definitely stay there again, sorry we didn't have more time to explore Dominica. The drive to the hotel is a little long, but it is a great way to see Dominica. First Class all the way!
