The worst that can happen is when you wake up in the morning and you don't have hot water. This is the most basic need and if the hotel is unable to provide this then to be it's a failure.

After I complained an engineer came to the room and saw the issue and after I returned to my room later the problem was still there.

Excellent welcome at reception, spacious rooms, high quality amenities.
The breakfast was a BIG disappointment. It is priced as higher-end 5* hotels, but with limited choice of items, questionable freshness of food and slowness in serving even coffee and tea. Not to be repeated!

Good Property… didn’t have non-smoking rooms finally agreed to take smoking room took about 30 mts to check in at 17:30 hrs … they did offer free breakfast for inconvenience

Worst hotel experience

The room was not as the pictures, small windows not panoramic, furniture was less than expected, the bed was not comfortable, there were no heater in the AC system, hotel was having noisy construction that they didn't mentiones and even after several companies they didn't do any thing nighter offered compensation.

Amazing lovely apartment , very big, amenities are fully. Missing some cleaning stuff like kitchen tissues, small spoons were not available.. bathroom was not so clean. But the apartment over all is very nice. Bedsheets are clean and comfy. Check in was easy and we got underground parking l. Very good for long stay 👍

A good place to stay

Friendly staff.
Check-in and check-out went smoothly.

Close to supermarket.

They should consider more air purifiers for smoking floors.

They’re very unprofessional and the staff were very rude. You can’t have guests in the room no matter what. The only way you can have guests is to have them in lobby. I brought a guests to my room and the hotel staff came to my room and asked them to leave or stay at the lobby. I really don’t recommend this hotel at all.

Place is nice, entrance of the hotel is a bit difficult to find and a bit tight, but its is all right.

Room is spacious, they're studio and apartment type so you can cook and do the laundry by yourself too. Rooms are clean, but not very thoroughly clean, hope housekeeping does a bit better job. Nearby there is a supermarket to but things, but again, due to construction nearby, it is not easy to find the hotel entrance on the first attempt, and is a bit noisy in the daytime.

Great stay, we had a delay at check in, the room was dirty then they cleaned it many times, location is nearby all attractions, the administration were great I extend my stay for one more day however the hotel was fully booked. I will stay again at Ascott Rafal

The flooring of the rooms are all tiles ( Porcelain) With minimum carpet. Very uncomfortable and unhealthy.
Room service is slow and limited option

The property is new, clean, well-maintained and has a nice layout of the living room/dining
and bedroom. We stayed in a one-bedroom unit with a private full bath and a half bath (toilet near the entrance).

The check-in experience was not the most welcoming one - I did not find the check-in receptionists to be friendly. I asked for a room with a nice view of the city and I was given one on the second floor with a view of the metro rail which is under construction. When I asked questions about amenities, suggestions for restaurant, the front-desk people were not attentive and did not really give helpful answers.

The biggest gem of this restaurant are the service workers: doormen, concierge, taxi/limo, waiters at the Liba restaurant, room-service and most of all the housekeeping people. You cannot ask for a more dedicated, honest, helpful and very happy service-oriented people. I hope that the hotel management will recognize these workers who truly understand what it means to be in hospitality service.

Overall, my experience at the Ascott was exceptional. The only negative is the smell of smoke in my room. The room was supposed to be non-smoking, but there was a strong odor of smoke during the entire visit. Other than that, it was a really good experience.

The services is very very slow and the receptionists are not professionals. One of them told me you the breakfast is included then they charge me the breakfast bill.

Recommended 4-star (+) hotel

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I travel to KSA a lot, and this is probably the nicest place I've stayed in Riyadh. Big comfortable rooms with friendly service everywhere: front desk, cleaning staff, F & B, pool attendants. Very large outdoor pool which was a big bonus. Reasonably well located too, though the perpetual road / metro reconstruction makes travelling anywhere challenging at times!

Nice facilities, but bad location and service.

I stayed here during Ramadan and am a non-Muslim. I've stayed at other hotels during Ramadan and they accommodated non-Muslims by setting up a small room for breakfast and making room service meals available throughout the day. Ascott did not and being there on business made it difficult to be awake during business hours.

The area is also not ideal. There is no sidewalk so it's impossible to walk anywhere.

The hotel itself was very nice, but my shower was broken and the outlets didn't seem to work. This combined with the lack of accommodation for meals and bad area made me have a terrible stay and I would not recommend the hotel overall.

Safety Alarm

I have stayed 3 night there. The hotel look new and very nice. They have a nice swimming pool and a quit coffee are for residents. Also, they have tight security which sometimes are not good like when you order Uber they don't allow him to come in. The safety alarm had turned on two separate days for no valid reason. They had me and my pregnant wife to run through the stairs and then they tolds us it is a falls alarm. For this reason i will not stay again in this hotel.

Good hotel, very comfortable firm beds/matrasses, great if you have a little lower back problem.
Only down side is that I could not get a good temp mix on the shower, either too hot or too cold, it was a very peculiar style of operation.
