The worst hotel

The rooms look nothing like the pictures on line. When we got to our room the air conditioner was not cooling well. So we left for a little while came back water from the air conditioner was leaking all over the floor. I went to the office and they changed our room. The next morning got up to take a shower the shower head leaked so bad that it soaked the whole bathroom. I went back to the office and they gave me a key to the room where I was at first and said shower there and they would get someone to look at it later. If I was the president of hotels. Com this hotel would not be on my site.

The person at the front desk did not greet me as I walked in the door. I then let him know I had a reservation and he was on his phone the entire time. That is TERRIBLE customer service. Apparently his job was too

The first room we were given had a toilet with a diarrhea explosion in the toilet. The second room had a couple of long dark hairs imbedded in the fitted sheet on one of the beds. We always check for bedbugs also (and didn't find any), but in pulling the bed away from the wall found quite a bit of dust and debris, including a discarded cup. We brought all these to the attention of the staff.

We were originally put in a room on the first floor facing a busy street. It was loud with bright lights throughout the night. The next morning we requested a room change which we were given. We moved to a second floor room on the other side of the building. We appreciated that they were willing and able to accommodate our request. The room was not very clean and all amenities were old and outdated.

I had reserved and prepaid for a room with two beds; was assigned a room with one bed and told it couldn't be changed. The door looked as if it had recently been broken into and had not been repaired. The TV was not programmed to work, and I was given inaccurate directions on how to start it from the clerk. The beds were fantastic. So comfy. It was fairly quiet in our room on the top floor. Bathroom was tiny but the sink vanity was large so that was nice. Breakfast included waffles, cereal, juice, coffee, bagels, yogurt and little sausage sandwiches tbat were very good.

So I’m not leaving my review to complain and which my experience doesn’t reflect on the the hotel as a place to not stay at, so the first room was street level to the left side of building facing the front desk, Me and my son entered the room to discover unmade beds and dead cockroaches so first I called the front desk and he said to come back up front, and the gentleman was very kind, also very professional . He explained it was showing the room as available. Which it was actually under deep cleaning (for bugs) He apologized and got me another room, which was on the opposite side of the building as the original one. Upon walking in, looked very clean, up to date and was more surprised as nice as it was for the cost of the room. So a few minutes go by and along the floor goes crawling a Palmetto bug like those big flying cockroaches and nope I cannot do that and then it was crawling up the wall so back to the front desk I went, but I felt bad as I said the gentleman At the front desk was Super kind and he offered an upgrade in the building across from the one my room was at And I had to decline because I didn’t want to chance it and have to go back to The front desk it was almost 3 AM and I was driving round trip from Knoxville to Clearwater to get my daughter due to hurricane Milton, Overall, great location, variety of food, locations, in walking distance almost in the same parking lot also location is great as well

This was a horrible experience! We got into our room and there were two huge cockroaches. I went and asked the front desk to refund me and she suggested a new room. I agreed (hesitantly) and she gave me a smaller room with less beds! I told her the room was too small and I needed 3 beds (party of 6) and she said well you have to pay for another room. Refused to discount us on the stay. Extremely rude and wouldn’t accommodate to try to help at all. She should
Have at least given us a discounted second room at Least! But no, told me if I don’t want to pay with zero discount to checkout and get a refund. So, we did. We went to another hotel across the street. Do Not stay here because they find roaches acceptable and customer service is terrible.

The cleanliness was so bad, that we didnt allow our kiddos to take a shower over the weekend. There was literal feces on shower curtain and wall. Sarcatic atiitudes with front staff when informed of issue. Moved to 3 different rooms because of constant mechanical problems in previous rooms between door not locking on exit and a/c not cooling. Im pretty laid back so there wasnt any 1 thing that was so bad, it was more of a lot of little things going wrong, however wont be foing back to any super 8.

Checking in they forced me to give them $100 cash before they would give me a key to the room. That’s after scanning my credit card for incidentals. There were hairs in the towels and long hair in the tub. Mold growing in the ceiling around the shower. A literal hole in the shower tub and cracks 12 to 14 inches long in the tub. Bathroom door had chips and cracks all over and needed painted battling. If I could read them zero stars I would. I will never stay at another super eight motel.

The sleep sofa had a broken hinge and had a piece of plywood to \"fix\" the support. The mattresses were all uncomfortable. The freezer had so much ice that the door would not close on the fridge until we removed some of the ice ourselves. The toilet seat was practically falling off as was the flush handle. The laminate floors were all sticky or dirty. The staff at the desk were nice that is the only nice thing we can probably say.

The room was clean as far as bed, bath and carpet but walls and doors need to be painted - lot of dirt and marks.

The biggest complaint would be the groups of men standing outside talking at loud volumes up and down the walkway and parking lot. We had a group right outside our door in the middle of the night that carried on for more than an hour.

This seems to be a location used more by groups of traveling workers.

When the room was cleaned, lights weren't checked, 2 light bulbs out. The remote would not connect to the tv so you had to get out of bed to shut it off. All of the stations said to be announced and no info dovyou had no idea what you were watching. The guy at the front desk came and changed the bulbs and tried to get the remote to work but could not. The refrigerator made a clicking noise all night long. Neither of us got much sleep. Tha mattress was comfortable and room pretty clean.

The motel was very nice from the outside, parking was very convenient, wanted on the first floor, we got that. Office people were very nice.

The room was not as clean as it should be, lots of dirt in all corners, table was totally messed up, leaning sideways, no one to fix it till the next day my husband fixed it best he could no one else attempted to fix it the next day. Very limited clean up for the 4 nites we were there, took out trash and took out towels, added new towels, no extra toilet paper, never made beds, or changed sheets.

Our stay with them was ok, just the cleanliness, better mopping on wood flooring, needs to be addressed.

Check in: waited 10 minutes for someone to come to desk- meanwhile an employee sitting in lobby on break did not even greet me until I asked if someone was working.

Parking lot was nothing but trash and cigarettes.
Thank goodness I travel with wipes and Lysol- room was not very clean and did not smell very good so I had to clean and spray everything down late at night.
Breakfast was small stale mini muffins, juice, coffee and packages of danishes.

It was late and we were traveling with a dog and needed a few hours sleep so this was the only reason for staying.
Drive a bit further and book somewhere else!

The photos make it look a lot nicer than it is. The motel is not maintained. It's dirty and in ill-repair and smelled horrible. It's also way overpriced. I paid $129 via Expedia (7/20/2021) and later found an additional charge on my card of $81 from the motel itself. They said it was for \"additional services\" not included in the Expedia price. The only \"additional service\" was having to return to the front desk to get the key cards properly activated so we could get into the room because the person at the desk failed to do it correctly the first time. I'm still in the process of disputing...
