All in all a very good hotel for the price!

Great hotel, very nice staff, excellent location and breakfast.There was no mini bar in our room despite having a price list. Pillows were terrible and the layout of the room wasn't good either as the AC wasn't cooling the other side of the room.

Loved in general. Receptionists ate great, but some additional training wouls be beneficial. Hotel was quiet, the receptionist with russian accent was unpolite. I asked to be checked-in one hour earlier, she gave me a look and she gave me short answer: no! The same answer could have been with smile, I would understand it better. And I know other hotels are much better with receptionists. Either way, restaurant was excellent. Room was clean and nice. Shiwer a bit small, but everything was good. I'll probably will stay next time, and will try to be prepared for unfriendly receptionist.

Overall Good (with Some Small Issues)

My impression of the Liva Hotel was generally good. The quad we booked was clean and had a fair amount of space (better for three, to be honest). The price paid overall for the evening was fair. The attached restaurant is also very good, although breakfast is not included (and, comparatively, not cheap). Some minor concerns: the neighborhood can be quite loud. Second, parking is extremely limited and you have to make use of an adjoining public parking lot if the hotel's lot is filled. Lastly, you need to use a keycard to access the hotel's elevator (good for security) but not the stairwell (not so good). The beachfront is also a good distance away and not easily walked, although a Bolt will only set you back a few Euros.

Great value for money

Fantastic! We paid 33EUR for 4 people per night! I lost booking confirmation and was worried if I'll be able to check-in, but everything was ok, lady at lobby found my booking everything went smoothly. Free parking at the front of hotel. Excellent location, good breakfast (a bit expensive 12EUR/head), but there are some nice alternatives around to have great morning coffee an meal.

Nice room and a nice rate. Conveniently located downtown. Check in took quite a while because about eight people checked in all at once. The lone desk clerk was very nice but could have used some help. I would gladly stay here again. Breakfast was offered at a great rate but I left too early to try it.

Hotel Liva is my favorite place to stay when I visit my home town. Affordable , friendly staff, very clean, delicious breakfast. Great location! Beach, park, Farmers Market, restaurants, shopping, everything is within walking distance.

The staff really go out of their way to please and accommodate. I wish I could say the same for the room cleaners.
The food was very good although as a English food man far to fancy and not down to earth enough. I would like to suggest to the management that not all guests are Michelin staff looking to rate with stars but just people that want a hearty meal.
Overall a pleasant stay and would defiantly use this hotel again.

I'm sure amazing not in the winter

Stayed at Liva for 8 nights for a work event. Mind you this was in the dead of winter, early January. A few of my colleagues stayed in the same hotel, I have something to compare and contrast my experience to.

My room was so cold at night for the 1st three nights that I had to wear BOTH my winter coats. There was an unadjustable, single, oil heater in the room that barely kept the room from literally freezing. Over the course of the next few days it some how got warmer, but not much.

Some of my friends requested to be even moved to a lower floor, hoping it would help... Mixed results.

The room was cleaned on a semi-regular bases at best. The wooden floors were dirty on my arrival and stayed that way....

high quality at a low cost

for me, this hotel offered the perfect room, facilities and location for a one week break from my travelling routine. central location, which was essential given the cold winter weather, yet close to the bus and tram stops to connect with the train and bus stations. pretty much everything else the city has to offer, in winter, is right on the hotel's door step.
very nice reception and cleaning staff. useful foreign currency exchange booth offering reasonable rates, too.
i could not have asked for more......and the low cost of my cosy room was a pleasant surprise !

Amazing location - really comfortable hotel

For the location in Liepaja and the price, this hotel absolutely cannot be beat!! The multi-lingual staff were very friendly, the room was comfortable and quiet, and there was great access to all of the city's interesting sites and public transportation nearby. I would absolutely stay here again next time I was in Liepaja.

Great location near the tourist information center, an amazing restaurant, a mall with grocery store, and a 15 minute walk from the beach. Breakfast was very good. The great location came with some noise from all of the tourists who were out late, but that is understandable.

Mein Zimmer war nicht dass aller schönste, aber ich habe mich trotzdem sehr wohl gefühlt in dem Hotel.
Das \"grau\" der Zimmer empfand ich persönlich nicht sehr ansprechend 🌈
Das Frühstücksbuffet war im Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut!
Sehr ansprechendes Frühstücks- Restaurant.
Umzäunter Hinterhof für das abstellen von Bikes, Motorrädern und Autos (E-Bike hat nichts gekostet 🙏)
Lebensmittel fußläufig in 4 min. zu erreichen.

Gute Erreichbarkeit nach bzw. vor der Fährfahrt, leckeres Frühstück mit großer Auswahl, Zimmer sehr sauber.
Klimaanlage funktionierte bei uns nicht wirklich, haben wir aufgrund von nur einer Nacht aber auch nicht moniert.

Hotellet er fint, ligesom morgenmaden er rigelig og varieret, men sengen/madrassen er hård og ikke behagelig. Havde også en oplevelse af, at sengen skrånede til den ene side.
Wifi kan ikke nå alle værelser, så på mit værelse var det ikke eksisterende.
Rengøringen var fin - intet at klage over der.

Very central location. I had a budget room with windows towards the street. I needed ear plugs from 6am because my window was open for fresh air. The bathroom was too small. The water in the shower refused to run away. Otherwise a good budget option.

Good hotel in the very heart of Liepāja

We liked the hotel and the business room we had ordered. You can see that hotel has been in place for a while and things are running down, but nothing was too old. Generally it's a great place to give 8 out of 10 for the value you pay for. Location is the number one benefit. Breakfast was good, although loads of plastic were unneccessary if we have our meal in the room and can easily return normal dishes.

Das Empfangspersonal war jung und hoch engagiert. Das Zimmer hatte keinen 3,5 Sterne-Standard, da die Betten, das Bad und das WLan nicht zeitgemäß waren (Schimmel in der Dusche, Bettentyp aus den 80ern und das WLan nicht einfach zu empfangen).

A very affordable hotel in the middle of town. Nice staff, good breakfast and the rooms were clean and modern. Something they have to work on is bigger sheets or smaller mattresses so that the sheets do not detach from the mattress. Happened several times. Also, missed the opportunity to make coffee in the room.

Don't miss the fact that the hotel is only about 15 minutes walking distance from the beach.

Hyvä hotelli edulliseen majoittumiseen

Olimme perhelomalla Baltiassa autolla ja yövyimme täällä yhden yön. Meillä on 5 henkinen perhe joten päädyimme 6 sängyn buljettihuoneeseen. WC ja suihkutilat sijaitsivat käytävällä ja olivat yhteiset 3 muun huoneen kanssa. Hotellin käytävät ja budjettialue kaipaisivat jo hieman remonttia ja uuudistamista, mutta hintataso oli kyllä kohdillaan huoneessamme. Myön palvelu oli todella ystävällistä ja auton sai helpposti parkkiin aidatulle sisäpihalle muutamalla eurolla.
