The night I stayed, April 17, there was a fire on the other side of the building. No one from the office alerted me about the fire. Someone roughly pounded on the door at midnight and since no one was at the door, I thought it was prankster teenager. When I awoke at 5 o'clock, there was no electricity. I could not see, nor check the weather on TV for the important event that day. I could not take a shower. There was not even any hot water. I had to dress in the dark and ended up leaving an item of meds behind.
The breakfast had Tang for supposed orange juice, and either stale cereal or stale muffins.
I hope you can refund my payment.
Please advise me. I'd like to use Super 8 hotels again but this needs to be addressed.

No internet service so no television, hair dryer broken, bathroom fan was super loud and would stick, towels were thin and smelled strongly of bleach. We plan to stay at Holiday Inn Express for our next stay in the area.

Towels looked stained and dirty. Trash found under the bed, beer cans, wrappers. The lights by the door were flickering when turned on. We had two rooms, one of which did not have a latch on the door and did not lock correctly. We had to move the table and other objects by the door.
The staff was good during check-in and check-out.

The door didn’t have a security latch for the lock.
The fridge was frozen up and had rusts spots over it.
The towels were stained and dingy.
The tv didn’t work either
The bed was comfortable though. We were there, overnight, for a funeral so were unable to talk to staff about it.

And for breakfast there was some little muffins and orange juice no Bowles out for cereal or milk out either and no coffee ! The outside of building looked nice and the staff was nice !

The first room was so foul I changed. 7 things wrong. Non functioning heater, door would not lock properly, phone did not work, bed sheets filthy, room had horrible smell. Shower clogged, sink clogged
Changed rooms. Front desk was rude, threw room key my direction, purposefully asked if I had luggage (yes) so he put me on the 2nd floor no elevator. 2nd room equally disgusting. Dirty smelly linings, door wouldn’t lock, curtains would not close, microwave filthy with old food. Asked for refund and was refused.

We specifically expressed being NON-SMOKERS, we were given a smokers room. That was rank in stale cigarettes, overflowing ashtrays. They did not let us change rooms. We slept with windows open, it was chilly.
The bedspreads had what looked like wet stains It on on them.

The lobby was unwelcoming and uncomfortably hot.
My room was also very warm — the A/C was not working properly and kept shutting off. The floor felt sticky.
Additionally, the bedding was unacceptable we found ants. The sheets had holes, and I found both pubic and regular hairs on the bed. The fitted sheet and mattress protector had visible dirt and grass, the pillowcases appeared to have been reused from a previous guest without being changed. Also the bedding other than the comforter was inside out.
The room had a strange chemically bug spray smell

We ended up leaving and not staying the night

The beds are very comfortable. Outside of that, this place is not great at all. The area is dirty, the rooms were dirty, the smell from people having smoked in the non-smoking rooms and the smoke coming into the A/C from people smoking on the landing is very bad. I seldom give places bad reviews but this one deserved it.

Great place to stop!

We needed a quick stop over on the way to my daughter’s Air Force BMT graduation. The hotel is conveniently located off of the interstate, clean, and served the purpose for the night. We were a late check in, and the process was smooth & efficient. The real star of the show was Uday who was working behind the desk. Uday was friendly, personable, gave excellent recommendations & was overall wonderful. We had been in the car for 14 hours when we arrived, and Uday was charming, kind, and so helpful! Thanks, Uday!

The gentleman who was the manager when we came in had little to no personality. He didn’t smile or even welcome us. Bad first impression.

The room had several problems. First, there was no smoke detector, which is probably against code. Second, the front door didn’t seal and so it was like you were sleeping outside next to the train that would come through early in the morning. Commercial trucks would also pull into the parking lot and it was very loud. Three, the staff didn’t clean out the fridge from the last guest and there was cheese left inside. That made us check everything else to ensure nothing was dirty that we were using. Fourth, the room was supposed to come with a hair dryer and didn’t. The manager wouldn’t attempt to obtain one for us either. Fifth, there was paint on the bedspread which was very unpleasant to look at. Sixth, the floor was curling upwards which was a tripping or injury hazard.

The older female manager was better. She at least had the decency to smile.

If you can pay a little more to stay in another place nearby, I would recommend it.

The Super 8 has a lot of nearby shopping and food options and is conveniently close to the interstate. The downside is that the noise of the interstate is somewhat constant, especially during the day. The condition was great and the staff were friendly.

This hotel room was filthy. Dead bugs in the bed, sheets and blankets covered in other people’s hair and stained. TV not working and when reported attendant tried to fix it but failed. The floor was dirty, the bathroom was disgusting and also covered in hair. No hot water in the shower, the faucet was dislodged from the wall. The towel hanger fell off the wall. Melted candle was was on the walls and dried wax pooled on the floor with other people’s hair in it. Over all nasty, unclean and not worth staying here ever again.

It was relatively convenient. Room itself was ok but only one hand towel and face cloth for two people. The shampoo had been used. The lock on the door was poor especially because it goes to the outside not a hallway and we were two women staying alone and our room was at the back of the hotel. Floors in room could have been cleaned better, white sox were dirty after walking on floor. Bathtub drain didn’t work.

Chris at the front desk goes above and beyond for her guests. She deserves a 10 for her efforts. The doors don't fit quite right and LOTS of crickets get into the room. Towels, soap and shampoo are typical of a motel. They were happy to supply additional supplies when requested.

The desk clerk at check in was like pretty rough and rude but he did his job and got me checked in without issue.

The room was completely fine but dated and the mini-refrigerator was definitely from the 1970’s.

If you stay here, take your own blankets. The “blankets” on the bed were the thinnest ones I’ve ever seen in a hotel. It got cold fast at night.

Overall it’s what you’d expect at a sub-$60 a night hotel.

The property woke my family up at 8:53 AM to check out, over 2 hours early. This was after we checked in late the previous night exhausted from our trip and had crickets chirping in our room keeping us awake. After I called the office to discuss the disturbance caused by staff I was met with rude tone and no assistance from front desk agent. The room had large and venomous spider inside towel and sheets were stained. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had to say the least.

1 night is all

I needed to stop due to weather so booked what was available in Sealy. Not much left. While the room looked updated, i felt it could have been better. Bed was comfortable. AC wasnt turned on till i got there so pretty musky at first. One i went to check in, it was so hot in the lobby. I voiced my concerns to Patel at front desk as noone wants to walk into a hotel lobby at 90 plus degrees. Complete turn off. Therefore it already made me question my stay here.
