This property was the most amazing spot out of 6 different hotels we stayed during our tour iof the southern part of Italy. Extremely clean, spacious, modern decor, unbelievable shower, clean and spacious bathroom, massive room, clean and soft bedding sets on a nice and perfectly firm mattress, and an amazing view of the ocean from the balcony. Most of all, a refreshingly bright room (when all lights are lit up). Pus, every staff, I mean, everyone including the front, was extremely courteous, polite, friendly with lots of smile, including the staff at the diner for breakfast (which was also incredibly amazing!). A nice garden and a pool to walk around in the back facing the ocean right in front. Don’t have enough words to best describe how truly and unbelievably amazing the stay was! Sincerely Thank you everyone there for making a part of my family tour so memorable for life!

Search over, don't hesitate to book!

Recently back from a wonderful 10-night stay at this lovely hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and were so fast to respond to questions on WhatsApp. They helped with numerous restaurant bookings, excursion information, organised airport transfers and directed us to the local Saturday market. Breakfast was a highlight of the day - the staff soon knew exactly what coffees we wanted each morning, the buffet was always full of freshly made savoury and sweet delights (try the pistachio cake!) topped off with an amazing sea view. The hotel's location is perfect - set back from the road, totally peaceful and quiet, but close enough to easily walk to all the restaurants and the port. The pool area, like the rest of the hotel, is very clean and well maintained with great views out across the coast. We usually managed to find a couple of free sunbeds and the lemon granita from the pool bar was fantastic - perfectly tangy and refreshing. Although it would have been handy to be able to get a snack for lunch at the hotel, it did mean we got a little more exercise on the short walk down the road. We highly recommend Gelateria Vernaci for amazing ice creams (loads of flavours, generous portions & great value - we went every day after discovering it!), Gusto for the best pizzas (went back on our last night it was so good), Arche for a lovely lunch (great arancini & granita), H80 Fame for delicious seafood and La Tonnara for a special dinner with lovely views of the marina.

We had a wonderful few days here. Infinity pool has an epic view on the coastline. You can also walk down to the ocean on a path if you’d prefer to swim there. Staff was very accommodating and even packed us a “breakfast to go” as we had an early flight before the buffet breakfast opened. Highly recommend!

We were delighted with our choice of Marina Di Petrolo. The hotel is bright, smart and very clean. Our family room for my wife, daughter and I was a very good size, nicely decorated and smart. The staff were so nice and friendly at all times, and were always willing to help. We were grateful for the wonderful room cleaning staff who tidied and cleaned our rooms every day. There was an excellent Italian breakfast option every day, including freshly-made coffee of your choice. The location is not completely central but all the main areas of the town are easily accessible by foot, which is better to do anyway! Nevertheless there's a spectacular view of the bay from both the breakfast room and our own room. We didn't use the swimming pool because it was winter, but it looked nice. It would have been nice to have had the option to have meals other than breakfast, but it wasn't difficult to find other places around town (including a terrific pizza delivery place directly opposite!). We would love to come back to Sicily and if we are in this part of the island, Marina di Petrolo will be a definite place to revisit.

This property is definitely high-class and impressive. The rooms are large and clean, beds are comfortable, the decor is wonderful beach style, the breakfast spread was incredible - but most of all - WHAT INCREDIBLE VIEWS! The seaview is highly recommended and worth the extra cost. The staff is super helpful and the parking is convenient. I can't think of one thing to improve the experience. THA NK YOU!

We stayed here on our first family holiday with our 6 month old baby. We hired a cot from the hotel which was perfect. The staff were all really lovely and the breakfast each morning was fabulous. The ladies that run the breakfast service are all really kind and made beautiful cakes! We had a triple room that was spacious with a small terrace. The rooms are well decorated and clean, there was plenty of wardrobe space for our clothes. The outdoor pool area was nice, we stayed in October so the bar wasn't open and the pool was a little cold but we enjoyed it anyway. The hotel is in a great location with plenty of restaurants in walking distance. We hired a car and went to other towns most days to see more of Sicily. I would highly recommend this hotel.

What an amazing place Marina di Petrolo is! We had a comfortable transfer from Trapani airport to the property. Checking in was so easy and quick. The room was clean, spacious and had a stunning sea view. The pool area was gorgeous with movie-like views of the beach. The pool staff were amazing too, they made sure we had everything we needed and were very helpful. The property is so close to the town centre and the marina, so it was only a short walk to find some great restaurants for lunch and dinner. We had a breakfast buffet included every morning which was delicious. So many options to choose from both sweet and savoury.

I will recommend this hotel to anyone who is coming to Castellammare del Golfo. You will have a great time if you stay here and you will not be disappointed.

We had some major issues with the room allocation - which was disappointing (to say the least!) given that we booked 10 months in advance. These were eventually resolved the following morning.
The restaurant for breakfast is basic, but OK. It would be far better if the hot food was kept hot and the cold food was kept cold/chilled. Sadly this was not the case.
The area directly by the hotel is very run down ( including some building work nearby) and the pavements a challenge. That said, the proximity to town is good.
On the upside, the pool and sun bed area is extremely good - plenty of space and never crowded. There is even a pool bar which, amazingly, closes for lunch! Again, not a major issue as drinks can be obtained from reception.

Thank you to Rosalia and Chiara at Marina di Petrolo for a perfect stay. Everything about this hotel is perfect! Close proximity (short walk) to the beach, center, restaurants, etc. The breakfast was amazing, delicious and so fresh every day and the staff at breakfast were so helpful. The rooms are spotless as is the whole hotel. The pool is relaxed and the view from the room was beautiful. The entire vibe in the hotel is happy and friendly. The property is situated in a great area with it being a 5 min walk into town and 15 min walk to a sandy beach. When we first arrived we did have a slight issue with our room but this was quickly sorted by the staff who were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The facilities available in the property are great with the pool having amazing views of the sea. Overall our stay was really enjoyable and we will definitely visit again.

What a Gem!

This place has both hotel rooms as well as apartments with kitchens and balconies. Very modern, well equipped, clean, safe and comfortable. The staff are friendly and efficient. The gym is an honest-to-goodness gym one rarely finds in southern Italy. The walking time to restaurants and the town center is minutes. Parking is ample. Pool is nice. Great views out the back. Breakfast is quite good. Easy to get to Palermo and Trapani with Mazara about an hour away. One of the best places I’ve stayed in Sicily.

Lovely modern hotel a few minute walk to the main town. Great parking on site and set back away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Comfortable modern spacious room and very clean although the room could benefit from a bit more storage to put clothes. Good variety for breakfast, continental with a lot of cakes! Helpful and welcoming staff. We were traveling as a family with 2 children and the hotel suited our needs. Restrictions from Covid did not upset our holiday, all manageable and not overbearing.

Everything about this hotel is excellent. The location is close to town and harbour but just far enough away to be quiet at night. The property is immaculate, rooms are large and spotlessly clean, with balconies mostly facing the sea, the beds are very comfortable, with good quality linens and bathrooms are well-appointed. The infinity pool is lovely with plenty of loungers and a small bar, offering free pastries left over from breakfast, which is what you might expect from a 5* hotel: an exhaustive range of sweet and savoury items, very comprehensive. The cakes and pastries are fresh and very delicious. The front of house staff here - Rosaria, Giuseppe and Alessia go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need to enjoy your stay. We would love to go back again some time, we had a wonderful stay!

Wonderful hotel modern very clean and spacious. Professional excellent staff very helpful has an intimate family feel!! Breakfast in The Sun room was glorious with the view out to the sea. Great selection for breakfast meeting all dietary requirements. Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

Fantastic hotel

we picked this hotel because of its location and it had a pool. It was a great decision fantastic stuff lovely rooms really clean beautiful large pool there was an infinity pool overlooking the bay and close to lots of restaurants

Great location

Hotel was brand new and spotlessly clean. Convenient location to walk to the marina, where there are a lot of restaurants and cafes. Pool area could use a little sprucing up (the bar wasn't open when we were there, overall outdoor decor was a little sparse), but was very large and had a great view.

Lovely hotel, great location

We only stayed for 3 nights at the end of 3 weeks in Sicily. Very modern hotel. Spotlessly clean. Pool fab. Breakfast choices excellent. Staff super friendly and helpful. Parking facilities were great.
Located well for access to the town.

Great hotel with seaview

Nice seaside hotel with swimming pool, you can go to the beaches nearby on the first day and then to the swimming pool on the second day morning with late check-out with a bit extra costs. The town was so empty during the day but was so busy at night! If you want a chill and relax days its a good choice to stay here as not many tourists around here. The only thing with the shower was that the sealing was not that great so a bit of leaking out.

One of our favorite hotels we have ever stayed at in Europe thanks for a great anniversary vacation. Small hotel but perfect location within walking distance to all restaurants and easy if you have a car as well. We will definitely be back with friends!
