lovvely hotel

We enjoyed this hotel and Castelammare del Golfo so much, we returned for a 2 day stay at the end of our month long trip to Sicily. The hotel is adjacent to the harbor which has lots of restaurants and fishing boats.

We drove around Sicily for 3 days and one of the nights we stayed at this hotel. It is located in a very cute town. As for the hotel, the hotel room has an ok comfort. It's probably what you can expect from a 3 star hotel.

Great value hotel

Good hotel for the price. The hotel is imaginatively designed, particularly the outside areas and our room had a lovely view of the harbour. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. A good variety of breakfast fayre. The rooms are basically furnished - modern and clean - with a comfortable bed. The walls are thin and we could hear our neighbours, particularly in the bathroom. Not a major problem.

Beautiful hotel close to the action

My wife, our 2 year 9 month old son and myself stayed here on 6th Sept 2013 for one night. Although its in a great location, within walking distance if the marina and one fantastic restaurant on the seafront (La Cambusa) due to Sat Nav issues with the warren of small streets and one-way layout, it was difficult to find but the hotel can't be faulted for that. V clean, modern hotel, spacious room with a double and a single bed (although we hadn't requested a travel cot as there was an extra charge if you wanted that). Breakfast was good. General 4 star quality and comes recommended. The hotel recommended the Redtaurant to us, La Cambusa, for our evening meal and it proved to be possibly the best restaurant, with the friendliest staff, the most wonderful food at a very reasonable price in which we have ever eaten. Top marks.

Friendly hotel in great seaside location

we used a variety of hotels throughout our whistle stop tour of Sicily. Staff here the most fluent English speakers and very friendly/helpful. Room a tad smaller than others and the shower cubicle definitely small but very clean and comfortable otherwise. Breakfast probably the least generous of all the hotels and tinned fruit rather than fresh not good. Still overall a pleasant stay

Friendly Accommodation in Charming Town

The hotel itself met all our expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed the city of Castellammare del Golfo and the nearby beaches of Guida Loca and San Vito Lo Capo (truly beautiful). A big plus was the adjacent secure off-street parking for a reasonable E5 per night. BUT, if you are driving Sicily, GPS is a must-have. Once you leave the Autostrada, navigation ranges from sketchy to intolerable. Street signs are non-existent or placed where they're of no use. Directions from locals rarely any help and frequently conflicting. Front desk personnel were very helpful for local direction, restaurant recommendations, etc., once we were on site.

We enjoyed our stay here, the hotel is nicely placed next to the marina, our room was clean and spacious with views of the sea from the balcony (ask for a room number starting with a 3 or a 4). Breakfast was fine, although the coffee wasn't the best (comes out of a machine). The only downside to the hotel is having to pay for parking. We went out of season so managed to get street parking but you couldn't do that in summer.

We chose to upgrade the room and very were pleased that we did, a terrific view and were given the room at the end of the hallway. There was a little noise from a nearby building but that was certainly no reflection on the hotel. There is a small charge for parking but considering the layout of the streets it's well worth it. The town is awash with excellant small restaurants of which we were only able to sample a few, but ones we missed and the hotel itself is more than enough reason to return. On the down side (if one is needed) the bathrooms could do with a bit of an upgrade.

Don't rely on web sites as a reference!

Good location but a quirky place to visit. Super blast air con in the lobby combined with a very modern decor made you think it was swish - it wasn't really... The room was a good size but (apart from the view) lacked charisma. We had a car which they wanted to charge for us parking each night yet outside it was free on the road. Breakfast was uninspiring.

WONDERFUL!!!!

The staff of this hotel goes out of their to help you. VERY clean. Comfortable room. Breakfast good, could have a few more healthier options. The atmosphere is very pleasant as are the surroundings. For a three-star hotel they get a homerun. The town of Castellamarre del Golfo is lovely and the surrounding countryside is BEAUTIFUL!!! Don't hesitate to stay here. :-)

Amazing customer service- cant' wait to go back

I have no words to describe how caring the staff was, from the cleaners- really lovely and nice-, to the reception team and waitress for the breakfast. The reception guys were extremely nice and helpful, providing 5 stars quality and having a super friendly smile at all times. They were very patient with our poor Italian and even tried to teach us a little bit. Breakfast was very nice too, and the waitress were lovely and always asked whether we were fine or we wanted anything else etc. The experience was very good and I can't wait to go back as I felt like being home. The hotel is very clean, new and unbeliavable good for the price. Definitely recommend it.

One week at Cerri Hotel

I and my wife stayed at Cerri Hotel for one week on a romantic trip to Sicily. Here are our pros and cons for this hotel:

Pros
+ Beautiful view over the port and the city (We stayed at a deluxe room)
+ Newly built and very nice, clean and elegant hotel including the room.
+ Nice and fresh bathroom.
+ Helpful and kind receptionist.
+ Good location close to the port and lots of restaurants.
+ Desk, fridge and a safe on the room.
+ Good cleaning every day

Cons
- Very tight around the toilet in the bathroom, little space for the legs.
- Hard bed (spring mattress only, no feather bed)
- Lousy internet, you have to run down to the reception to get a 30 minutes or 1 hour internet pass. The pass is only valid for 12 hours before use. Once you get it running its really slow (at least for Swedish sites).
- Pay extra for the hotel parking.
- Inefficiently soundproof
- Lots of security cameras, 16 at least.
- No laundry or ironing room (even though it says so on Hotels.com)
- Plain breakfast that gets boring after a few days

A wonderful place to stay

Hotel Cerri really made us feel welcome. Their rooms and grounds are very new and modern and were beautiful. It was almost too good to be true for the price! But it delivered - staff were very friendly and helpful as well. I would definitely recommend this to people and stay there again.

Cerri Hotel - modern hotel good location

Modern hotel and for us - since we had rented car - the location was great. Many nice places are close by so it's a good base for daily trips. Also, the downtown - Castellemmare del Golfo - is a short walk from the hotel. There are not too much to see in the town but the restaurants are good. If you want to go to a good beach car is necessary but we had so it wasn't a problem.
About the hotel:
We booked a room for three and suprisingly the room was big with comfortable beds.
Everything was clean, modern and looked new.
The hotel staff was polite and they speak english.
Breakfast was good, selection was OK.
Wireless internet was available in the lobby free of charge and there was plenty of place to sit comfortably while checking emails.
The parking was 5 euro/day which wasn't too nice but they didn't charge us at the end so no complains.

Overall I highly recommend Cerri Hotel for anybody who want's to stay in a nice, quiet, clean, modern hotel without fancy facilities.

Nicer inside than out

The inside is new and modern. Outside is a bit of a disappointment- at the end of the road surrounded by a large parking lot. Not much of a sea view. There is a large parking lot which is empty since they charge you 10 Euro to use it. There are a few parking spaces in front and if you're lucky you can get one. They serve a nice breakfast with lots of choice. the staff is friendly and helpful.

Felt Like a Family Visit.

Delightful opportunity to visit a small historic town, and stay in a contemporary hotel with excellent, professional and caring staff. I truely felt like a GUEST at Hotel Cerri. The facility is modern and well appointed with warm colors, and eye pleasing artwork. The best part was the staff. A special thanks to Alessandra, Rosaria, Gieuseppie, and Pamela who orchestrated my memorable 5 night stay at Hotel Cerri. I look forward to returning soon. Grazie tante !

Good base for exploring the area.,

This is a new hotel and the pictures are an acurate refection of its present condition. Some rooms have a sea view altough balcony lacked any chairs to sit on.We have stayed in a lot of italian hotels and i would say the breakfast was average. The hotel is 100m to the harbour where fishermen land their catch and sell it on small tables.Three excelent fish restaurants on the habour. This hotel would make a good base for the area, Zingaro, Segesta, ect.

Le Cerri hôtel est idéalement placé et dispose d'un parking. Il est très agréable d'y rester comme d'en partir pour aller flâner sur le port ou dans le village, qui sont à proximité immédiate à pieds. Le personnel est très serviable, le petit déjeuner délicieux.

Ottima posizione e ottima colazione, ampio parcheggio, non manca nulla. Se ritorneremo a Castellammare del Golfo sarà il nostro punto di riferimento.

Albergo nel complesso OK, ma devo fare una critica sulla gestione da parte del personale alla reception.
Avevamo il check-out alle 10:30 obbligatoriamente dovevamo lasciare la stanza, la mattina prima chiedemmo alla ragazza in reception la possibilità di tenere la stanza almeno fino alle 16:00 visto che il volo di ritorno l’avevamo alle 22:00 di sera, la stessa ci dice che l’hotel era pieno e che non aveva disponibilità.
Incredula vado su internet e cerco di prenotare da web...disponibilità l’avevano!!!
Aspetto sera e chiedo all’altra ragazzo che mi dice di rivedere la cosa la mattina seguente ma di non preoccuparsi perché la disponibilità c’era ed era limitata...ma c’era.
La fatidica mattina del check-out chiedo nuovamente alla ragazza iniziale raccontandole il tutto...mi risponde che la prenotazione dell’ultima stanza era avvenuta proprio in quel momento!
Ma come la mattina prima dice che è tutto pieno...la sera il ragazzo ci dice che c’era disponibilità limitata e la mattina seguente “è stata effettuata or ora la prenotazione quindi è tutto pieno”.
Conclusione a parer mio NON VOLEVANO OFFRIRCI UN SERVIZIO CHE AVREMMO PAGATO,HANNO OTTENUTO SOLO DEI CLIENTI SCONTENTI!!!
N.B. Quel giorno c’era un tempo orribile e siamo stati tutto il giorno dalle 10:30 alle 20:00 in un tristissimo centro commerciale in attesa dell’aereo...pensavamo di aver scelto uno degli hotel migliori nei paraggi ma ci sbagliavamo!

Wir waren 1 Woche in Castellamare del Golfo. Das Hotel ist in zentraler Lage und man erreicht alles schnell zu Fuss. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Hotel verfügt über kostenpflichtige Parkplätze (abgesperrter Bereich, also nur für Hotelgäste). Also im Gross und Ganzen war es ein schöner Aufenthalt.

Niks negatiefs.

Vanuit hotel een paar uitstapjes gedaan. Goede restaurants in de buurt, wel opletten voor een paar 'toeristenrestaurants'. Je zit nog maar pas neer of je krijgt de menu al onder je neus geduwd, alles moet rap gaan. Eten is daar ook maar zo zo.

Hotel situé tout près du port du côté de la vieille ville. Très pratique.
Le confort est équivalent à un 3 étoiles aux normes françaises. C'est propre, simple et la literie confortable.
L’accueil en français a été très sympathique et agréable.
L'hôtel dispose d'un parking dont le prix est de 5€/jour. C'est un tarif intéressant et bien pratique car il est presque impossible de se garer dans le quartier.
Le petit déjeuner est varié et copieux.

Rart lille hotel, meget venlig og kundeminded personale. Værelset var i 70-stil, brun/orange, og temmelig slidt. Badeværelset fungerede, rigtig god bruser men toilettet er svært at sidde ordentligt på fordi det står for tæt på brusekabinen og toiletbrættet sad løst. Morgenmaden var typisk italiensk med mange kager.

El hotel está en una magnifica localización, en general es un hotel normal, sin grandes pretensiones, salvo que pagues un suplemento por una habitación con vistas al mar.
Referente a la habitación, es de tamaño normal y el balcón con vistas mas bien estrecho, pero lo que habría que destacar es el baño, pues la taza está situada enfrente de la mampara y es prácticamente imposible sentarse en la taza en posición normal, lo cual es molesto.
La hora de desayuno es de 8 a 10 de la mañana, lo cual te limita en posibles excursiones tempranas.El día que nos fuimos, tuvimos que salir del hotel a las 7 y solamente nos dieron un café triste, habiendo pagado el desayuno ese día.
La nota que le pondría sería un \"normal sin pretensiones\"

L'Hotel molto valido a due passi dal porto

Il mio soggiorno in questo Hotel è stato davvero gradevole. Pulito, servizi ottimi e personale eccellente! Infatti i 3 receptionist che ho trovato di turno sono stati uno più gentile dell'altro. Ed una mattina nonostante fosse finito il turno delle pulizie in Hotel mi hanno chiesto se desideravo comunque farmi sistemare la stanza (fuori orario). Gentilezza molto apprezzata!
Per ciò che si paga non manca nulla ed è tutto di qualità, dalla stanza, alla pulizia, all'ambiente in generale ed alla posizione.
Dispone di parcheggio per auto ma a pagamento (5€ al giorno), da prendere in considerazione.
Veramente consigliato, per tutti.

Hotel moderno, situato in prossimità del porticciolo turistico. E' un tre stelle e tre stelle vale. Sinceramente dalle recensioni positive che avevo letto mi aspettavo qualcosina più. Il personale è gentile e disponibile, la camera pulita. Nota negativa la pessima insonorizzazione, sentivamo i vicini russare, persone che camminavano con i tacchi e gente che cantava. La colazione è possibile farla dalle ore 8. Considerando che a noi piace girare è un po' troppo tardi. La vista era inesistente, la nostra finestra dava su un muro. Nonostante questo il rapporto qualità prezzo è ottimo.

Kleine TV met 5 zenders en niet eens digitaal, WiFi was slecht, hotel heeft weinig voorzieningen maar wel een eigen parkeerterrein (per dag betalen)

Buon albergo a 2 passi dal mare!

Abbiamo soggiornato 5 giorni al Cerri e siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti per l'ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Camere pulite e silenziose, personale molto gentile e professionale!
Tornando a Castellammare del golfo, sicuramente vi ritorneremo!

Meerblick muß nicht sein, man bekommt den ganzen Krach der einzigen Straße mit die aus dem Hafen führt. Für weniger zu zahlendes Geld ist Gartenblick viel entspannter (und schöner)!!!

siamo stati in ottobre ed era molto tranquillo anche per il parcheggio non ci sono stati problemi. presumo che in piena stagione non sia così.il paese anche se molto carino e caratteristico ha pochi negozi e una piccola zona pedonale ed è un buon punto di partenza per visitare altre importanti zone turistiche.

Sejour et personnel agreable

Situe a 5 min du port de la ville, l'emplacement est ideal. Nous n'avons pas trop souffert du bruit causes par les concerts en plein air situe sur le port meme, comme ont pu l'etre certains hotels.
La gare de bus se trouve a 15 km de l'hotel et permet de rejoindre la reserve naturelle de Zingaro tres facilement.
Par contre la gare ferroviaire est excentree et ne permet pas vraiment l'acces a pied.
La plage de Castellammare del Golfo, ne presente aucun interet. Il vaut mieux marcher un peu plus pour acceder a l'autre grande plage (chemin un peu dangereux puisqu'on doit evoluer pendant 1 min sur le bas cote d'une voie rapide, mais le personnel de l'hotel nous avait prevenu).
Le petit dejeuner est assez varie.
Le personnel sympathique.
Par contre l'acces aux chambres du second batiment avec les bagages est un peu complique.

mare di giorno e porto di sera

una bella settimana di mare durante il giorno,di cene consumate e di serate trascorse nei locali del porto turistico, che dal tramonto in poi offriva il meglio di sè.
Hotel in zona tranquilla a due passi dal porto, con ottima colazione, personale gentile e disponibile, camere pulite e confortevoli.

Carinissimo hotel

Sono stata in quest'hotel una settimana a fine agosto con la mia famiglia.

Confortevole hotel a due passi dal porto turistico

Ottima accoglienza dal personale della reception. Stanza dotata di balcone con vista scorci porto turistico. Pulita, minimalista e non grande ( 3 letti singoli), costosa.....ma era agosto e si trovava poco sul posto. A 100 metri dalla movida del lungo mare, ma lontano dagli schiamazzi.
Colazione ricca da torte fatte in casa e dal dolce sorriso delle due collaboratrici di sala premurose e veloci.

Ho soggiornato con mia moglie una notte in quest'hotel e ne siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti. Soggiace in una posizione buona della città, vicino al mare e a 2 passi dal centro, le camere sono davvero pulite, la colazione inclusa nel prezzo era buona, personale gentile, peccato per le 5 euro extra per il parcheggio. Anche se non offre molti servizi, quali spa, sauna etc...per qualche notte è l'ideale. lo consiglio

Feedback Urlaub in Sizilien

Wir verbrachten einen sehr schönen Urlaub auf Sizilien. Die Ortschaft Castellammare del Golfo hat eine super Lage und einen schönen Hafen mit tollen Restaurants. Sie ist innerhalb von 30 Minuten vom Flughafen (Palermo)erreichbar und man kann von da viele tolle Ausflüge unternehmen (Bsp.: Naturschutzgebiet Zingaro mit seinen traumhaften Stränden, ins Landesinnere etc.). Ausserdem sind die malerischen Sandstrände nur 15-20 Geh- oder 5 Autominuten entfernt. Zum Cerri Hotel:
+ Sehr freundliches und hilfbereites Personal, welches sehr gut Englisch spricht und versteht
+ Sehr saubere Zimmer, welche täglich gereinigt werden
+ Hoteleigener Parkplatz
+ 24h Service an der Reception
+ Leckeres Frühstücksbuffet
+ Nur 1 Minute Gehweg zum Hafen, wo die Restaurants und das Nachtleben sind
+ Der Weg zum Hotel ist gut ausgeschildert ab der Ausfahrt Castellammare del Golfo

Fazit:
Das Hotel sowie Sizilien als Reisziel kann ich absolut empfehlen!

Schöner Ferienort mit empfehlenswerter Unterkunft

Recht schön - besonders die 400er Zimmer mit Berg- Bucht- Stadt- und Seeblick - auf einmal
Gerne wieder.
Leider sind die Zimmer extrem hellhörig.
Auch die Zweitaktmopeds nerven laut, wenn sie sich die Strasse neben dem Hotel am Berg hochquälen. Aber irgendwann müssen die Kinder ja in's Bett. Viele Erwachsene fahren eben schon E-Roller, die man dann zum Glück nachts nicht hört.
Die Lage des Hotels ist dafür fast perfekt.
