Was a beautiful hotel tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Lots of places to eat around there and do once a hotel that wasn’t overpriced for drinks, meals, massages etc once you were there. Wish we had more nights! My only complaint would be the sunbeds only get sun until early afternoon.

We loved our short stay at Buri Rasa. Such a special place in Koh Phangan. We visited and stayed all over the island and this resort is by far the classiest. Having said that, this is ‘sanitised’ Koh Phangan (only ONE cannabis shop we spied in the village, as opposed to the customary ‘every other shop’ experience!) and we absolutely loved our very different, more authentic stay just before at Secret Beach Bungalows. But Buri Rasa is delightful on lots of levels (staff, stylish rooms, nice breakfast, great happy hour with fabulous cocktail waiters)…and a great choice for families with children.
We came with our 16 year old and were glad to escape the cannabis shops for a few days!

Right on the beach. Complete with a pool and spa. A great restaurant, and a cracking cocktail list. This is a gem. Brilliant staff, chilled vibe. Close enough to a range of eating options but quiet and relaxing. This is not for you if you want to party all night or need shopping malls, but for feet in the sand and relaxation, don’t think twice.

Before you set off to this beautiful hotel be sure to book the transfer with the speed boat, you will be met at the airport, taken to the pier then a shared trip to the beach in front of the hotel.

We were met by \"Mild\" (her easy to pronounce name) she was a beaming ambassador for the hotel, whilst our luggage was taken to our room we were given the tour of the hotel.
Which is all well kept and a beautiful place to be.

During our stay all the staff were welcoming but 2 members stood out and they are \"Mild\" and \"Dear\" both always had this warm welcome and nothing was any trouble, their smile and warmth really added to our stay and we want to thank them for making our stay so wonderful!
If you want a relaxing holiday on the best beach on the island then this please is for you!

We came to celebrate our honeymoon, the location of the hotel is in an area far from the center of Phangan, but quiet and charming with a very small avenue of nice restaurants and a mini market. Beach and amazing view. The room was relatively small with very minimal fittings, for example there were no mirrors in the room except the bathroom mirror. In my opinion, the hotel is good but does not justify the high score it received (9.4), such a score requires a wow and it is very ordinary, in conclusion: for those who are looking for a calm and peaceful place to spend their next vacation, the hotel definitely meets the needs

Quaint little street connected to the property with very good western food
7/11 and mini marts within 5 min walk.
Cute pool lots of families with small kids so not a party place but very cool and chill. Very calm water waist deep paddleboards available. Nice sun rise location if weather permits. Only negative might be pool hours 7 to 7

We had a beautiful weekend at this property. We loved the beach. It is totally worth it and convenient to book the speed boat! And, if you are lucky Nancy will greet you when you arrive to the property. I think she is very genuine and makes a difference. There's also a gentleman who works at the Front Desk who is equally kind. We had a great time, and I loved the coconut scented lotion in the room :) I bought one to take home with me!

We had a wonderfull stay at Buri Rasa with our 1.5 year son. The staff is great, no request is too crazy and they really go to all extends. The only bad thing is that we had to leave the hotel after a few days ;) We will definitely come back to this place. This is a very nice resort on a very nice beach and I would give a high rating usually. During my stay there were a lot of families and excitable children who felt in necessary to scream, run and slam doors which unfortunately is very audible in the rooms. Sound proofing the rooms is required, I was attending online meetings and could not find a quiet spot even in the room.

The Guest Relations staff is second to none and I mean that! Banana, Lin, Sarah and the rest always have a smile on their faces. They make you feel like family. I will not stay anywhere else in Thong Nai Pan! The only negative is that they do not have private pool suites/villas and no bar at the pool.

A small very compact resort. Really liied the relaxed pace. Staff were brilliant, and our room was good apart from access to the bed from one side only. This needs to be addressed. The beach was good, even though the tides are begining to wash the \"soft\"sand away. There is a very untidy part at the end of the hotel near Paniman resort, that is full of rubbish, this and the rest of the resort beach could be better kept by a regular beach claen. The resort website pictures need to be updated as they no longer truly reflect the resot. The beac and pool are not as shown on the web or the resort video, that constantly plays when you first turn your room TV on. Would we go back....YES.

We had a lovely welcome from staff and were happy with the interior of our room. We were disappointed with the pool as there was never any spare beds next to it and it was always full of noisy children which meant we couldn’t use it to get a good swim in. The sea was very wavy when we were there, so not being able to use the pool was an issue. We are a couple in our mid 30s and we felt like perhaps the area was a bit too “resort” based for us - we prefer something a little more natural - not rows and rows of sun beds. I was looking forward to visiting this beach after reading rave reviews. Sadly, I was left disappointed as when we went for our first walk along the beach I was shocked at how much plastic litter I saw :( perhaps this was because the sea was particularly choppy that week, but either way, I was disappointed that the resorts hadn’t taken it upon themselves to pick it up. I ended up going for a walk and managed to fill a big bag with litter and take it to the hotel receptionist who then discarded it for me. Having said all that - the staff were so lovely and friendly and the service was great. Just not our cup of tea in general. We ended up staying on the west of Koh Phangan which we loved.

Beautiful hotel. We paid for an expensive room knowing it was beachfront. Turns out we got room number 9. Which was not as good as shown online. Online seems like you are first line on beachfront but in reality there are 2 rows of chairs in front of you and a huge sign with warnings. The Kiaks are right by room 9 so you get more noise and you might get wet while sitting on your chair. The hotel is beautiful, staff is very welcoming and Kie and Gift at the spa are amazing. Our friends were there with us they got a regular room which was worth the price. Room 9 beachfront was a bit disappointing for the high price we paid.

We got caught in the Pabuk tropical storm so didn’t get to enjoy the resort fully however the staff are absolutely brilliant. We had a beach front room and due to the storm the staff where happy to move us to a higher level room, they helped with booking our ferry and even came back to pick us up when the first one was cancelled.
Weather was terrible, service and people working at this resort are brilliant.

Wish I’d stayed longer!

Took the speedboat taxi, warmest welcome started right frok Koh Samui side. The service and attention to every need you have is incredible! The rooms were comfortable, spacious and clean. There were activities, restaurant, bar, pool, coffee shop and shawarma place onsite and 30 seconds walk up the road are many corner stores, restaurants and dive shops. Such a relaxing visit!

We spent a fantastic 5 nights at Buri Rasa Hotel.
The beach was amazing, with very comfortable sunbeds.
The pool was very nice (they have increased the size, so the pics about the large one are the relevant), our son would have spent the whole day in the pool.
The room was nicely decorated and very clean.
The double bed was super comfy and the sofa was a good option to our (almost 3 years old) son to sleep on it.
Delicious breakfast with a very good variety.
I would highlight the hospitality and the services of the hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly, we had a very good check in experience.
Everything was perfect.

Beautiful resort, rooms comfortable and well maintained. Excellent staff, very friendly. They always greet you by your name and go out of their way to serve. All in all very good value and higky recommmeded. Only negative was the beach in front of the hotel with sand that was a bit course and water had some sea weeds. But the beach is much better just a couple of minutes walk towards the center of the strip.

Our stay honestly couldn't have been any better. Buri Rasa staff was extremely pleasant and welcoming, especially Michael! Spa massage was a great value, beach was private but lively. Food was fantastic from breakfast to BBQ dinner. Room was exceptionally clean and tidy. I felt as if I could have been at home. While drive from ferry takes a bit, Buri Rasa is located in a small village perfect for a drink before or after dinner. We loved our stay so much and will remember it forever. Only complaint is that we wished we could have stayed longer!

The staff in this hotel are second to none and make you feel so at home. We just loved how the hotel is situated next to the little village and with a fantastic speedboat transfer to Koh Tao. We loved this hotel! From the pick up at Samui airport to the speedboat to Phanang, everything was seamless. The hotel staff was so accommodating and service oriented and made our stay there very easy and relaxing. The room was quite lovely, amenities nice, and little touches that made us feel welcome from the jasmine scented oil to the turndown service.

The restaurant was of high quality and a large variety of choices to keep us satisfied for any meal we chose.

Service of hospitality staff (Sarah and Banana) were exceptional; the restaurant staff was attentive.

Overall I would highly recommend this hotel -- you won't be disappointed!

This was my favourite hotel from the 5 I stayed at during my Thailand travels.
Staff and service was amazing. Massive shout to Banana and Sarah - so helpful. They have their own beauty spa also which i would recommend to get a massage by the ocean. Our room was beautiful and ocean view, big balcony. Breakfast is great and lots to choose from. Had a drink on at the restaurant/beach. Just very authentic and beautiful. Would love to come back soon!

This was just amazingly perfect. Perfect if you want peace and total relaxation. The bathroom is just beautiful and clean. It is as advertised. We booked 1 room and ended up staying one more night. I wanted to stay longer.The rooms are great. Someone even comes in to prepare your room at night.(closing curtains/spraying for mosquitos). They even leave you small notes. The beach bar is amazing. The beach itself is just perfect. It rained during our stay, but we could still sit out and look at the waves. Breakfast was good. I will definitely go there again.

The staff were amazing in helping us to have a perfect night, they even surprised us with a gift in the room while we were at dinner which was completely unexpected. Amazing hotel, brilliant location!

We stayed at the Buri Rasa for part of our honeymoon in October 2015, it was a brilliant stay. The staff and extremely helpful and kind and can't do enough for you. The food in the restaurant - breakfast, lunch and dinner - was all amazing - the best chicken satay I've had in Thailand!
We would highly recommend this hotel and would visit again in the future.
The only point I would mention was that the room wasn't cleaned to the best standard, pretty much only the bed was made, the mini bar wasn't restocked or the bins emptied, the air con was turned off or turned up everytime housecleaning were in and they didn't lock our patio doors when they were finished cleaning (we had ocean front room) therefore leaving our room open.
Overall an amazing stay and a brilliant end to our honeymoon!!

This hotel is amazing the food, staff,idyllic location. If you want total peace with the most beautiful beach in Thailand this is the place to go. The entertainment is first class. You are treated like royalty but not imposed upon. We will definitely return here in the near future, so glad we found this hotel. Located right at the tong nai pan noi beach (north east), and next to a small village with restaurants, bars, shops and taxis etc.
Staff very warm and friendly and wanting to help.
Very nice room with all needed amenities.
I can go on and on. To sum it up- great vacation for couples and families. Worth the trip from Haadrin/ Thong sala.

A fabulous place!

We booked three nights here as a short side trip from our holiday on Koh Samui. We had a fabulous stay there. It is on a beautiful crescent shaped beach which is approximately 1 kilometre in length. The sand is soft and the water brilliant. With the sea breeze on shore we even had fun in the small shore break waves .
It is part of a lovely little village with ample places to eat and other shops. ATM's are handily located. At night it is beautifully lit and the Beach Club Bar at the hotel has a couple of happy hours which are great value. The hotel restaurant is very good. We had several meals there at reasonable prices. The buffet breakfast was substantial and excellent with many cuisines catered for. We saw previous reviews about the pool being small. It is certainly not large but it is child friendly and immaculately maintained. We had no need for it because it is very close to the beach. The rooms are also not large , but they are clean ,comfortable, well appointed and serviced daily. The balcony was nice. 4 bottles of drinking water were provided daily. We had Ocean View Room and loved it. The pillow menu was also welcomed by my wife, who usually travels with her own. but didn't this time.

Best stay in Thailand!

Great hotel very nice staff. Good rooms very clean. The staff is very friendly and warm. They took care of all of our transport to the hotel and also to the fool moon party. They waited for us at the end of the party when we wanted to go back. We very much recommend this hotel. Definitely 5 star hotel!!

Great time at buri rasa

We arrived at buri rasa after being in koh samui for a week & didnt think it could get better but it did! We had a seaview room which was lovely the room was clean & bright. Breakfast was lovely with big selection of food. We ate at their restaurant every night it was beautiful as set on the beach their food was amazing. Staff were only too happy to help whether it was making u cocktails or bringing u lunch to your lounger onthe beach! Massages were also available which was so nice. When we left they gave us a shell with our names on the inside which was a really special gift. I highly reccommend this hotel.

Fabulous resort in idyllic location

This hotel is excellent. We took the speedboat transfer which was easy to arrange and completely hassle free and good fun as it was stormy when we arrived.
Upon arrival we received a welcome drink and a free room upgrade. The room itself was lovely and had a lovely terrace which was actually very private due to the screens and vegetation.
The breakfast could be taken on the beach and was very tasty with eggs to order and lovely pastries. We ate in the hotel all three nights we were there which is very unlike us but the food was lovely, reaonably priced, the staff were attentive and you could eat on the beach overlooking he ocean. The village is rifht behind the hotel but food and drink there is not really much cheaper than the hotel. Two happy hours as well which we took advantage of to have tasty cocktails. All in all we found our stay very relaxing and peaceful. The beach is beautiful. There are free kayaks for residents. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Bliss at the beach

This place is the perfect destination for a relaxed on the beach experience. Our room steps out onto the beach with beautiful white sand and not too warm sea water. The village around the resort has plenty of little restaurants and bars so you do not need to hire a scooter or car. Breakfast at the resort restaurant was fine, not the best I have had but definitely ok.

Booked pool view and faced a wall!

Second hotel on our tour booked through Expedia, where we paid for a pool view room and found that we were looking at a wall! The hotel accepted our complaint and gave us an upgrade. Do Expedia customers get the least favoured rooms? We haven't had the same problem in previous hotels where we booked direct. Feedback please as, 'It only takes a minute'.
Never the less the hotel was fabulous, staff wonderful and food delicious.
