Spent 6 nights with wife and location lives up to reputation as all time great romantic getaway. Was never once bored. Beautiful blue water, great snorkling on island, didn't see a mosquito once, great food, and peerless service. Our host Maudey went above and beyond, even finding super glue for us when something unexpectedly broke. 5.8 underwater dinner was a highlight, and we did dream island on last night, which was fun after seeing it in the distance during stay.

What a gorgeous property. It was a wonderful experience staying at Hurawalhi for our 20th anniversary. The staff was amazing, Raha our host and the chef Harshal went above and beyond. The cleaning staff were like ninja, you never really saw them but when we returned to the room, everything had already been cleaned and amenities topped up. We would absolutely recommend this property.

We had a great time at this resort! By far the best hospitality we have experienced! Every guest is taken care by a dedicated host who is available 24/7 to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Our host Mr Mandey is a kind and well organized person who took care of all our reservations and made sure we had the best experiences possible. This resort is definitely blessed with some of the finest chefs who meticulously curate the menu for every meal. The under water sea restaurant is an incredible experience!

Hurawalhi was truly a once in a lifetime experience! We stayed here 6 nights for our honeymoon and couldn’t be more impressed. The service was the best we’ve ever experienced! Everyone makes you feel like your the only visitor on the island and is very welcoming. The island from its architecture, views, beaches, restaurants, snorkeling is incredible. Booking excursions and reservations is super easy either onsite or with the user-friendly app they have. Shoutout to our favorite staff on the island - Sinah, Welsen, and Malaz. These 3 went above and beyond to make us feel so special and welcomed during our trip. Absolute A+++ resort and lives up to the 5-star rating and reviews! We’ll be back on day.

This place is definitely beautiful. You get to see so many different sea animals. There are always sharks swimming around the beach. Therefore, you don’t need to go far out just to see some if you can’t swim. I like how it’s quiet and there’s no kids. The ocean villa with a pool is great but I do notice some difference in the pool. Some are rough near the outside which makes it hard to sit or lean on for pictures while others are smooth. Unfortunately the room I stayed at has the rough perimeter which hurts a lot to sit for pictures. The restaurants have good foods. But I do wish they have some noodle soup since a lot of foods were too rich in flavors or fried. The 5.8 restaurant is a must go to if you stay at this hotel. Overall, I’m happy with my stay.

My wife and I traveled to Hurawalhi in late August, and we can’t say enough about the exceptional experience. Hurawalhi is truly what you make it. We’re in our early 30s and made friends with several of the other couples that were honeymooning on the island at the time. It was easy to be social; it was easy to private. It was easy to book excursions; it was easy to relax in your room with no pressure to book excursions. Our host, Akan, attended to our needs any time we asked, including adding a special, sunset dolphin cruise on a day that it was typically not scheduled.

We stayed in a romantic ocean villa with hammock and loved the room. The cleanliness was top notch, and the all inclusive package is a must for those who plan to have a few drinks. We stayed 9 nights and didn’t make it to kashibo until the last 3 days. What a mistake that was. Kashibo’s food is 5 star coming from a couple who has traveled to more than 60 countries and have dined at high-end restaurants all over the world. Obviously, 5.8 is the major attraction; and it was amazing, but kashibo is also deserving of some hype that I have not seen in other reviews.

5.8 is a must, but if you’re traveling here, you already know that.

We had the opportunity to see the ocean pool villa from some of our new friends, and don’t hold back if that’s what your looking for. The music by the pool wasn’t our taste, but that’s, course subject to each couple.

5 stars and would definitely recommend

I don’t normally do reviews but I really felt the need in my heart to do one for this particular resort. My partner and I originally booked this place for the 5.8 Undersea Restaurant to celebrate our birthdays, but quickly learned that they had so much more to offer. The pool villa was definitely our home away from home. It was very clean and cozy; housekeeping was twice daily. The staff was our family. Naji was our host and made our stay so comfortable and carefree! He even arranged birthday surprises in our villa on our birthdays. He went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and so did all the other staff members, including but are not limited to waiters and dining team, buggy drivers, etc. It was our first time in the Maldives, and we had the best experience at Hurawalhi! We will be back. Huge thanks to our Hurawalhi family for the hospitality!

We were overwhelmed by the staff’s friendliness. The resort is beautiful and well maintained. Both breakfast and dinner buffet is world class quality, everyday we woke up and looking forward to the buffet. They change the menu everyday with great selection of food from different area (Asian, western etc). The lounge at the seaplane terminal is really nice with refreshments provided. The resort also provides snorkel gears to guests. Those gears are good quality and easy to use (coming from a beginner snorkler). Highly recommend for honeymooners. The underwater restaurant to us is little over rated, we would save that money for a diving excursion, then come back for dinner buffet that is more fulfilling.

After doing a TON of research on which island resort to visit while we were in the Maldives we decided on Hurawalhi and we are above and beyond so grateful that we did! We came for our honeymoon and it was the best vacation of our lives. The main reasons we chose this resort was because it is adults only and their AMAZING all inclusive package. It would be a no brainer to get an all inclusive here as it’s open bar, amazing restaurants, and a wine fridge and liquor/beer selection changed in your room daily. Would definitely come back again if given the opportunity!

We have just got back from our stay at Hurawalhi and are missing the place so much from the villa, the food, the sea creatures and the staff. The room was very spacious, cleaned twice a day, the bed was very comfy ensuring a good nights rest from all the great activities available on the resort and from our romantic ocean villa where we could see many fish swimming underneath our net while relaxing on it! The food at all the restaurants in the resort were amazing! Our favourite restaurant was Canneli which is a buffet style and the food was always different every meal and they had stations were the chefs would prepare a dish just for you. The 5.8 undersea restaurant was an awesome experience and is a must do! Finally, all the staff at Hurawalhi were very happy, friendly and were always smiling and greeting us. Special mention to our host Akan who was very helpful and was available on call 247 whenever we needed anything and made our stay stress free by knowing our itinerary and making sure we didn’t miss any of our activities and also got us a photoshoot session even though it was really busy, and the photos were amazing! Also, to Casmir who kept us entertained at champagne pavilion when we didn’t get much of a sunset due to it being cloudy and at coco bar remembering what drinks we like. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience and we wish we could have stayed there longer and will definitely come back again!

This is arguably the best vacation I had. And I’m over 50 ;-)

The service - impeccable! From the moment we arrived at the Male airport terminal, until we left a week later from the same (only this time, with a grand smile smearing our faces).

The food - delicious!
The island - beautiful!
The room (placed literally over the ocean) - spacious, clean and cozy!
In one word - amazing!

If asked what my suggestion for improvements would be, my answer would be a resounding “nothing!”.

This place is amazing! If you want to relax in luxury, this is the place. All of the food was so good, and there were plenty of choices, and also plenty of choices on where to eat too! The underwater restraunt was top notch! I had the wine pairing with my meal and it was perfect, their certified sommelier will explain every wine as well.
We had the sunset beach villa, and we felt like we had our own beach/island! If we weren’t at the pool/bar (awesome bar staff that is attentive, courteous, and masters at making drinks!) we were on our beach watching the giant fruit bats flap around or hang in the trees. Also as a scuba diver of 20 years, I can say that I have never seen as much sea life diving as I have here snorkeling! Manta rays, sea turtles, eel, sting rays, puffers, schools of squid, black tip sharks, dolphins!

The service we received was excellent, the staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. The place was absolutely pristine and gorgeous. Our room was cleaned impeccably twice a day, by our own room attendant. Most of all it was the people that made it special, from having an island host, to the same waiter serving us for breakfast daily, and even the executive chef coming up to us to see if we have any culinary requests during our stay. Best honeymoon paradise, since our arrival at the hotel in the seaplane until the last day everything was perfect including the weather (bright and sunny all our stay) even though that we travel on monsoon(rainy season), we were greeted by Navas who introduced us to our personal host Adheeb who along with a nice conversation about all the things that they are doing to conserve and protect all the natural environment he took us on a tour to show us our amazing sunset pool villa 246 which had stunning views to the crystal clear waters. After that we went to have some snacks at Canelli were we were attended by Analou, she took care of us with our specific demands on the food since my wife and I don't eat to many stuff, she also was very attentive all the following days until our departure, Nahib always attended us in the breakfast and he was also keeping an eye on us to show us the dolphins swimming wile we had breakfast which thanks to him we saw. On the day before departing we went to the spa, my wife took the coconut body polish and I took the stress reliever back massage with Indra and Ana (a must thing to do). We couldn't make it to 5.8 restaurant because it was fixed menu and we don't eat what they have which was sad because we really wanted to see it (only thing down). The water sports facilities have good and entertainment things to do, we didn't do any because we had done them before. Overall everything was perfect

We had a wonderful experience, the service was excellent and food was great, during our stay we made friends with the resort staff and we encourage others as well because learning about the Maldives is just as great as staying there. On one downside, we recieved a visit from a group of managment to not fly our drone, we werent aware of such rules and respect it but a visit from one person or a call would have been enough, a big group made us feel uncomfortable and ruined outlr last day.

From the moment we arrived the staff was attentive. The hotel was peaceful and relaxing. We opted for the bungalow with a pool. It was very nice and we could scuba right off our deck. The food was great I the bar, buffet, and aquarium restaurant. We chose to have the all-inclusive and would highly recommend it. Prices for food and alcohol are higher in the Maldives. We also chose the Dream Island dinner on the private island. The sunset was perfect and the food was fabulous.

Nice, quiet and beautiful resort !

We stayed 3 days and 2 nights at Hurawalhi. From even before taking the seaplane to our departure flight from Male, the staff makes everything to make you feel special: private car and lounge at the airport, welcome music, dedicated island host, extremely polite and respectful staff, early checkin and late checkout if possible...
We often hear \"focus on client, the client is the priority...\" without the proper dedication but Hurawalhi brings this to the next level.
The resort is amazingly maintained, all facilities looks like new, the gardens, tracks and beach are spotless.

We really appreciated that the resort works on its environmental footprint and thought that it should even be better advertised (no plastic on the island, reusable glass water bottle, solar panel...)

The food is good and offer quite a variety despite the remote location.

The only surprise were the price of activities (spa / diving / snorkeling...) and the restaurant 5.8 undersea... which are overpriced for the value, but i guess it is the standard for the such high range resort.

Overall we really appreciated our stay at hurawalhi and will be defentely a destination we recommend for a quiet and romantic retreat.

Incredible staff, beautiful rooms, great activities, a fantastic reef, and great food and wine.

It's a very new resort so in absolutely pristine condition, and nothing is too much trouble.
This is nothing short of paradise and watching dolphins swim up the channel every morning is pretty special.

Recommended for those looking at relaxation holiday. Water Villa is great and we get to see many fishes and even baby sharks swimming just directly under our villa. 5.8 restaurant food were more suitable for those that like western food and into fine dinning food.

Villa can install door bell, so that from the balcony you are able to hear it.
Room and toilet amenities was not replenish daily.
Housekeeping staff not really friendly and tone was not sound pleased, felt kinda offended and the unhappy face expression and tone actually spoil our mood on that night when we return back to villa after dinner.

Wonderful holiday. Worth the experience

Where to start about the review. Lets start from heading to the resort via seaplane. The seaplane timing was given to us as 1245hrs (we stayed at Male hotel the previous night). However, when we reached the airport we were told that it was 1400hrs. The flight took about 40 mins with beautiful view of the turquoise ocean.

Upon reaching the airport, we were transferred to the resort by a boat. We reached our water villa with warm welcome in the late afternoon/ early evening by Jeethan. He showed us around the resort and facilities. We had rest and relax time, exploring the resort and watching sunset. Room is clean with beautiful view and clear waters. Huge bathroom.

Food are great international buffet (for all inclusive) with many varieties, pasta were fantastic and grilled tuna. There are other ala-carte restaurants around which are of extra charge. Services are great especially Mondy. He had good recommendations for wines. He is always with us with a huge smile.

We even went to the gym almost daily. We have to keep up our bodies with all the delicious food! Naveen was a great instructor. He guided us on the best work outs for the targeted body parts. We never fail to see him around. We called him the incredible hulk (except he wasn't green, hahah!)

Our daily routine will be swimming by the pool, the sea, watch sunset, watch fishes/ sharks/ stingrays/ cuttlefishes swam by. The water is so clear.

Perfect!!

Everything was perfect! The service, the location, the food... everything! It is a bit pricey but that’s the Maldives for you. The staff was very pleasant and definitely cared about making your stay as comfortable as it can be. We stayed at a villa with an awesome infinitely pool. We didn’t select the sunset view but we were still able to see it. The 5.8 Restaurant was a once in a lifetime experience. Definitely recommend going. Definitely going back to this resort!

The most amazing honeymoon

Hurawalhi was a place that you can only imagine in your dreams. We stayed here for 7 nights for our honeymoon. Everything from the service, to the room, to the food, to the excursions, and the staff was top notch. Not only that, but the views here of the ocean are absolutely breath taking -- it's unlike anywhere in the world.

Amazing holiday in Hurawalhi

Such an amazing holiday. From the time we arrived at Male airport, everything was smoothly arranged. We found the staff there are extremely friendly and helpful. Being a new resort, Hurawalhi has the amenities at excellent condition. Thanks to the relative small size, guests are well taken care of and there is true sense of privacy. We like that we are served by the same waiter (Rasheed) everyday in the restaurant and he knew what we want immediately after we sit down. Thumbs up to other staff as well (also those ladies who sweep / tidy the sands in our villa several times a day). We had beach sunset pool villa, which is a great choice for extra space (private beach) and convenient to the main restaurant & bar, plus impressive view of sunset from our private pool! All inclusive plus package is wonderful with extra things included such as sunset cruise (we spot A LOT of dolphins!) and group snorkelling class. We also had one lunch at the 5.8 undersea restaurant, which is an exquisite experience and so much more to remember. The spa above the lagoon is also very nice. In addition to the complimentary 15-minute couple's massage, I also booked myself 1-hour body polish & massage, feeling spoiled! In total we had 6 nights stay this time....too short! But, the moment we left Hurawalhi we've already decided we will come back with no doubt. Thanks very much for the fantastic holiday!

Perfect resort for couples

Hurawalhi is a perfect resort for couples. The staff there are very friendly and help with all the things. It is a bit on the expensive side, but definitely provides you with an awesome experience. Food is very good at Canneli restaurant. We were a bit disappointed with the 5.8 underwater restaurant with the food and the price that comes with.

The perfect getaway.

Very pleasant experience and friendly staff. My only complaint would be leaving is not as accommodating as it was coming there. When coming to the resort there was a lounge and a place to sit before the sea plane takes you to the resort. But on the way back to the airport they do not have their own lounge to relax before you can enter for your gate for your departure, where some other resorts do.

Fantastic resort with exceptional staff

Great hotel, particularly for honeymooners since it's adults only. The service is exceptional, the food is also fantastic and the reef off the edge of the overwater bungalows is excellent. We saw hawksbill turtles, eagle rays, and a huge array of fish in the home reef and green turtles at the nearby reefs. The marine biologist, Lisa is so friendly and knowledgeable and the dive centre staff were great too. Very memorable trip, I'd highly recommend this resort.

Incredible - Best Tropical Vacation Yet

Our experience was nothing short of incredible. The location was unbelievably beautiful, facility was best in class with only 90 rooms, and we received the highest level of service of any travel experience.

The food was amazing and the sushi was the best I've had.

All of the staff were fantastic but to mention a few: Mord, Lalith, Ram, Annalou, Edward, Biju, Shasheemir (spelling) and Hector.

It took us over 30 hours to reach this location and we would go back without doubt.

Also, we did not partake in the all inclusive given a horrible prior experience in Mexico. However, that would be a great fit as the all inclusive offerings were fantastic.

Don't cheat yourself, this is the right resort.

We want to come back

Our first trip to Hurawalhi. Following a whistlestop 8 day tour of SriLanka we wanted some luxury and we definitely got it here. We had a Sunset Beach Pool Villa and would do so again if going back (which we would love to) - some of the beach villas without pools face a breakwater which hinders access to the sea to snorkel and whilst the overwater villas seem a great idea, we valued the extra space and bit of \"private\" beach the beach pool villa gave us, plus our own pool to cool off in after sunbathing, or with a glass of fizz after dinner! Staff were very attentive in restaurants and in looking after our bungalow - we had forgotten to take some US dollars to tip them cash on departure, which made us feel a bit guilty! The 5.8 Undersea restaurant was a great location for a special meal, with shoals of large tuna coming in as the meal progressed, plus many other fish. We were on the all inclusive-plus plan - the menu in the main restaurant was sufficiently varied over the days we were there so we were never bored and the staff in the bar were very helpful!....then of course there was the unforgettable experience of snorkelling on he reef, which is available at all atolls but makes the Maldives a very special holiday indeed.

This place was a dream, better than I even hoped

So let me first say that we were looking for a few day stopover on the way back from India to the US, and I spent a zillion hours researching hotels in the Maldives. As impressed as I was by the pictures, I had passed over Hurawalhi due to the price. In the end we decided to splurge and decided on Hurawalhi. Then we really decided to splurge and book the over water villa with private pool. Reading the reviews (there was very few of them as the hotel was new), I was a little nervous. There was one about a poor seaplane schedule. They didn't confirm my flights until the day before, but they accomodated my \"early as possible\" request with a 7am flight! And my late as possible departure with 3:30pm flight. So we maximized every day. The place is a dream. I've never been somewhere so beautiful. The staff was very nice and attentive. The room was awesome. The water is incredibly clear. The tropical fish are incredible (the reef not so much, 90% bleached coral). The in hotel room bar was great for mimosas, wine and beer by the pool. They throw in a free 15 min massage for each person. I've been showing everyone pictures ever since we got back and people are amazed. The forecast showed rain and we got nothing but perfect weather. I would (and have been) recommending this hotel to everyone. I doubt I would visit again since I'd want to see another reef, etc if I ever go back to the Maldives, but I highly recommend for anyone their first time that can afford it.

Excellent new resort offering a good value all inclusive option. Service still finding its feet a little but didn't detract from the stay. Food and drink for all inclusive was good and included mini bar in room. Two other restaurants were both excellent including an underwater option. Relaxed resort, bare foot, resort at all times.

Perfect hotel on a perfect island!

This hotel is the most amazing hotel that I have ever stayed in. I travel every week all around the world, but I must say, there is nothing that I could possibly complain about. It was perfect, from beginning to end. Food is exquisite, the villas are impeccable, dive center is SO professional and brilliant. The staff are extremely helpful and pleasant.

Fantastic hotel on a smaller island.

The hotel staff are wonderful. Thank you for the fantastic reception Svitlana. The restaurant assigns the same staff to your for the duration of your stay and they are all brilliantly courteous. ThanK you Sadaam! The same for the staff at the Coco bar. Narsh, Analou, Edward, et al! It's a quietish resort, but if that is what you are looking for, go here. As an adults only resort, the other guests are very friendly also! (Only 90+ rooms!). The activities staff are super friendly, even if you don't catch any big fish! Forgot your name, but we got your pic! (A something, sorry...) 5.8 could use some menu help, and my wife and I were not alone in this assessment. The sensation of dining under the sea is wonderful though. The beach dinner is not too exclusive, we canceled ours after seeing the location and menu. The 'room boy' as they call it was number 1! He was our goto man, thank you Saneel. And many, many thanks to the many other unnamed staff (too many helpful, friendly people to remember and I am sure some names stated are not exactly correct....our apologies). Would definitely visit again the next time in the Maldives!

My wife and myself had our honeymoon in the the Hurawalhi Island Resort. It was amazing, wonderful, magic, beyond all expectations. The resort is brand new. The service is outstanding. The food at the restaurant food was of great quality. The staff was very friendly. The hotel decorated our room with very nice decoration for our honeymoon.
There isn't a single negative point. The resort is perfect, outstanding, wonderful!
We left it with great memories!
We hope that will have a chance to come back one day.
