Great location just outside of Colmar. Huge, spacious, corner room. All was great except we discovered the jacuzzi tub (there was no shower) had a broken handheld showerhead that sprayed water from the bottom, so it made it hard to bathe while not watering the rest of the bathroom. In addition, we had no hot water at all. After realizing this we took cold showers which was quite the wake up call!! Everything else was great and we did notify the staff at checkout so that they could resolve these issues for the next guest.

Loved our stay at Hotel L'Europe! The room was spacious with lots of storage - it appeared to be recently redecorated as it smelt faintly of paint, the carpet was plush and everything was modern and clean, including a modern bathroom! Great base from which to explore Colmar - plenty of parking on site.

We stayed here for one night en route back from Italy. Hotel is situated within easy reach of the main road and there are some facilities within walking distance for food.
There is plenty of parking onsite.
The hotel and room was clean and welcoming. The bed was comfortable and the shower good. There was shower gel and handwash provided.
Breakfast was included and there were adequate options to choose from on a help yourself basis.

Nice property with easy access from main road. Staff were polite and friendly.
We had booked a room with a terrace thinking that it would be on the ground floor...it was on the first floor, and terrace meant balcony. (Just in case this is important for anyone). There is a lift, but this was out of action and being repaired on our arrival. The room was clean and spacious, the balcony a nice outside space with table and chairs.
Breakfast was good with lots of options.

We had a lovely stay, very nice hotel. It is a long way from the centre of Colmar so you need to drive and try to park or catch the bus or taxi.
The restaurant was closed the whole time we stayed .

This hotel was so warm and welcoming. They had chaud vin for arriving guests coming in out of the cold. The rooms were very clean. The staff was very helpful in helping us to get transportation. The breakfast was worth the price with lots of options. I would definitely stay here again!

Our room was great, spacious clean and comfortable. However we expected after a 12 hour drive to be able to take dinner in the hotel rather than have to go out searching for food. We were told the restaurant was full but we could have bar food, this seemed little more than snacks so we were disappointed and didn’t take breakfast. The boulangerie across the road provided delicious pastries and coffee with outside tables.

It’s above average in general, clean and tidy hotel, 8 minutes drive to colmar. However, they claimed 24-hour check in while it’s not true. You can only check in after 3pm. For its price, I may choose something else.

Stayed one night as a stopover. Hotel pool left a lot to be desired. Although expected to be busy it definitely didn’t feel clean, grotty and broken tiles, tissue floated past me as I tried to swim so made a hasty exit, it was very small and not enough sun beds inside or out. We ate out as the restaurant didn’t cater for vegetarians, so cannot comment on the dinner, but the breakfast wasn’t the greatest for 15 euros a head. Disappointing all around.

This hotel calls itself Hotel Europe Colmar. The drawback is that it’s not in Colmar which is about a 15-20 Euro cab ride away. Cabs are also like hens teeth so waiting around in the cold for buses that don’t turn up when all you want to do is pop back to your hotel is not fun. I would mark this very corporate hotel as OK if you needed to stay in a dreary town with nothing to do. For visitors wishing to go to Colmar make sure you’re hotel is in Colmar.

This is a mixed review. The facility is beautiful, the rooms great. I’m not sure if the staff is inexperienced, overwhelmed or just dismissive, however at check in we were told that the “goodies” set out in the lobby (cookies and hot wine) were for the guests. We went to the room, left our stuff and came back. When wwe stepped up to a table we were quickly told NOT THAT and shown to another table behind a screen. (That is for a different group) OK. No problem. We took a cup and cookie and went to sit down. We were quickly told YOU CAN’T SIT HERE (in the lobby) because a group will be here in a few hours(!) It quickly became obvious that we were welcome ONLY to stay in ou room and out of the way or out of the building. I sincerely hope this is not their norm.

Rooms lack amenities, TV satellite had poor reception. Breakfast was packed away before it officially closed and was not very good. No room service and no good chair in the room, very smalltowels. This is not 4 star. Good link to the main roads.

Pleasantly situated Hotel

Very pleasant stay. Swimming pool was lovely and staff helpful. We had one meal in the restaurant which was excellent. It is perfectly situated for visiting the beautiful villages of Alsace which we did as well as attending the Patchwork and Quilting Festival based in Sainte Marie aux Mines and 3 other villages. We also popped over the Rhine into Germany for a quick view of the Black Forest.
Shortcomings were very poor value breakfast, of which there was little left at 9.40 one morning, and cleaning of the room was very hit and miss. We found our door wide open one evening when we returned from a day out!

Excellent and Cozy Room, Loving It!

For the honeymoon trip which me and my wife spent 2 weeks over cities in Germany, France and other Europe countries, I think the stay at this hotel is probably one of the best among the other hotels. The room is not spacious yet it gives out this really cozy feeling and the decorations and layout is very smart and I would say considerate. Concierge has friendly staffs and give you great recommendations on places/restaurants to go. Had a real enjoyable time here though swimming pool is a bit too small and may need some renovation on relevant facilities. Last but not least, FREE PARKING!

Air conditioning blew hot air and was loud and there was a mirror on the ceiling above the bed. Welcome to Las Vegas... we left and found another place. Probably fine for the area but not yet up to four star standards. It appears that they are renovating so maybe things are changing. Current condition, \"faux fancy.\"

we searched Freiberg Germany on hotels.com and this hotel across the border in France came up. Only 20 minutes away from Black Forest. Nice 4star business hotel with all the amenities north americans expect. Was a great value and glad we detoured

The rooms are a good size as well as bathroom and they have enough parking spaces even at night we did not have problem returning to the hotel to park. Very good quality of service!

We had a beautiful,modern room in the back wing of the hotel. The only problem was that there is a balcony with a door, but no window. The air conditioning system was turned off, so there was no fresh air in the room unless the balcony door was open. There was a sign saying that leaving your balcony door open could be a security problem. When we asked at the front desk for assistance, the hotel receptionist said we should open a window - but there was no window to open! She thought that was strange also. All the rooms in that section appear to have the same set up. There is a roll shade/rolladen for the balconly door, so we were able to put the roll shade partially down and block the open door with a chair to make it more secure. Maybe the double balcony door needs to be modified to have a window that can be partly opened. Or the air system needs to be functioning in winter time, not just in summer.

Stayed 3 nights, initially given a bed that is barely a double and it was very hard to get a good night sleep due to issues with the bed. Requested a room change next day and got a room with a queen size bed at no charge. Much better experience after that.

Staff quite helpful with local area, sites to see, and services. Pool area could use some work, as hot tub is not hot enough and steam room was not in operation when I tried to use it.

we had to ask for a better room, even though the hotel was not full, we got the impression we were asking too much - the cost of the breakfast was outrageous. Some of the staff were not too accommodating, the young man from Mexico (an apprentice) was the nicest one of all of them. Getting ice cubes from the bar seemed a big deal to them, and when we got it, there was never enough. Leo

This is the place to stay in Colmar

Excellent hotel....great facilities....the Colmar city center is only a few miles away. Easy drive to see anything. Mulhouse is about 60 kilometers south. Colmar is a mere 6 Km away. Hotel was very impressive....nice, cozy, comfortable and great price. Highly recommended for the area.

The location was not good. It was nowhere near the interesting part of Colmar, or the quaint little towns of the Alsace. The elevators had not been working for days and were not expected to be back in service for many more days. The tennis court was unusable.

The room was OK, but not good value for the money.

Nous avons pris le petit déjeuner tous les matins à l'hôtel, un régal et un vrai plaisir de retrouver l'équipe du matin, un personnel au petit soin pour les clients des stagiaires aux employés confirmés

The staff and service were excellent. We requested a babycot last minute and they were able to provide without a problem. The room was big and well maintained. Free parking facilities. On walking distance from a McDonalds (great for our kids). I believe there is a busstop on walking distance that goes to the city centre of Colmar if you are interested in that. We also used the breakfast option. If I have to be critical: the warm breakfast was a bit of a let down. The scrambed eggs and bacon did not taste good (eggs were too watery and bacon had a weird taste) and you had to boil your own egg (dangerous for kids). Suggestion: also offer boiled eggs (next to giving service to the guests who prefer to boil their own). There was enough choice regarding the 'cold'/continental breakfast with great French pastries/bread. This hotel is definitely a recommendation to stay here as a family.

Et jævnt kedelig hotel, hvor jeg måtte gå 200 skridt fra receptionen inden jeg kom til mit værelse.

Man kunne have frisket hotellet op med nogle dejlig farver.
