The hotel was okay. We checked in late in the day as we were traveling for my daughter volleyball tournament the next day first thing in the morning. The problem started at 2am the fire alarm went off and evacuated the hotel (determined false alarm). After 30-45min we were told it was clear to return to the room. After we finally fell back to sleep about 3:30ish, the fire alarm goes off again about 4am. With having to be uo at 6am, we ended up staying awake. So we paid for a stay that we got no sleep. This hotel might have an issue with the fire alarm system because talking with a gentleman that travels for his job and had been at the hotel about a week said this happened a few days or so before with no explanation. I doubt I would stay again

This was our second stay and the first one was better. Upon arrival, I found garbage all over the balcony including empty wine bottles etc. The rooms never smell \"clean\". They all have the odor of leftover food 😑. The air unit made a popping noise (in wall vent) the entire night.
The light next to the bed is ripped out of the wall, the grab bars in the bathroom need attention, the breakfast was \"ok\" and Sheetz may be a better option.

Check in wasn’t good. The lady said what’s your name and here’s your key. No info on elevator, internet or breakfast. No thank you’d or enjoy your stay and it wasn’t even busy.
The room was very nice and clean. The beds are a little soft/worn in well. It was very quiet and we slept well. Breakfast was good with a large variety of items.
None of the staff were friendly, except when we were leaving. The young man that checked us out was very polite. It’s good for an over night stay, but no longer.

We have stayed there many times. The breakfast was great. We had a reservation for the luxury room and was given the standard room. Total surprise to us that we did not get what we reserved. We were so tired that we didn’t go back down to talk to them. Tried to talk to them in the morning but no one was at the front desk. If they would have just told us that there they were overbooked, we would have understood. We will be back. It is a great hotel.

We were pleasantly surprised when we walked into the bright, clean lobby and received excellent service. We were even more happily surprised by the spacious, clean room. It was like a suite! It had two beds, easy chair, a glass table with chairs and doors that opened out onto a balcony with views of historic New Concord. The room provided a mini-kitchen with a sink, microwave, mini-fridge, and breakfast bar for two. The bathroom was also spacious, with enough space to put all my toiletries, and a big shower with lots of grab bars.
The Garland had a spacious, colorful breakfast room with windows decorated with flowers and bunnies. Some hotels serve just a continental breakfast, but the Garland served scrambled eggs, sausages, pancakes, and biscuits and gravy. It also had the usual cereals, fruit and beverages. The coffee was outstanding. Two attendants refilled the food and kept the place clean.

It was our first time spending the night there and plan to stay there in the future as its an on between spot for our desntination. Upon arrival, the room smelled like food and could of used some airing out while the cleaners were in earlier (open the sliding glass door). It took a few minutes to figure out the shower head but everything was nice.

When we came back to hotel to relax and watch TV we were disappointed in the TV list in room showing the channels available but not all channels were available. We had a handful of channels to view and had a hard time finding one with movies. We were disappointed in sound quality of TV. Had TV up to 70 volume and still could barely hear what we were watching and had to mute it when commercials came on were louder then show we were watching.

Pleasant and clean room. Excellent water pressure. Very quiet. Lots of pillows. Comfortable bed. The staff were pleasant and polite. I can't speak to breakfast, or to the exercise room or pool, because we didn't partake of those things. The parking lot is a bit small, which makes it hard to find a space when the hotel is crowded. We couldn't figure out how to work the room thermostat, so it was a bit warm for us. Otherwise, it was a nice stay. A great option, especially since it's the only hotel in New Concord.

Had multiple issues during my stay. Checked in to my hotel room the tv would not work at all, so had to switch rooms.The second room i was put in the air conditioner did not work the entire 2 night stay. Also the refrigerator did not work and i had to throw away all my food that i had jist bought do to it all goijg back. Contacted the property to try and get some ot my money back.thwy refused.would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Will not being staying there again.

We just stopped for the night. The hotel and room were very nice. The Christmas tree and other decorations in the lobby were tasteful rather than gaudy or overdone. The room was clean and everything worked; the spacious walk-in shower was a pleasant surprise.

What stood out about this hotel isn't so much that it was particularly luxurious or had amenities others lack - the amenities were more or less typical - but in most other hotels there are usually a few things that aren't quite up to snuff. Not bad enough to bother complaining about, but below expectations nonetheless. I didn't notice any such shortcomings here, and that is noteworthy.

The problem was some A** decided that a 1 AM cigarette in his room was fine, however he set the smoke detector! So I can report that the fire alarm system works well and the staff know what to do. It is so unfortunate to the Garland that I had a poor stay it really is not the hotels fault!

This place was perfect for a stop on an I-70 road trip. Clean, decent breakfast, and a great price with allowed us to upgrade to the “deluxe” suite with the pull out couch so our HS/college aged kids didn’t need to share a bed. The only issue was the hot water ran out in the morning. We would stay here again.

Friendly staff. Clean room. A few little things that were nice: Not a single problem with our room key, it opened on the first try every time! The ice bucket was nice and insulated with a sealed lid so the ice didn’t melt within 5 minutes. The room was huge! Breakfast wasn’t much but adequate enough. The shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion provided smelled nice. Bathroom and shower were clean. Shower was pretty and big, but water pressure was very light. Overall a great hotel! I’d stay there again!

Often times you could not find anyone at the front desk. We booked our stay at the Garland Hotel because it advertised having an Indoor pool. During all of our stay the pool was closed. Upon checkout I requested a copy of my receipt and was told that the clerk was unable to print out a paper receipt however I would receive an email receipt. To date I have I have not received the email. I left a message with the location yet again requesting a copy of my receipt and have not heard anything back from them

The staff is always kind and friendly. What makes me so incredibly sad is that I have been coming here for years and watching it slowly degrade over time. The floors are beyond disgusting and all need replaced. I wouldn't let my children walk around in bare feet, my husband put his flip flops on, and I kept my shoes on as long as possible. The room we were in had a beautiful view and I kept saying that this place could be the most beautiful in Muskingum County, but it just needs really cleaned. The Garland bed sham had red (hopefully not blood) on it. The shower was moldy, dead bugs all over the floors, and broken curtains. I brought back lysol wipes to clean things and showered my kids at my parent's house. I just couldn't have my baby on those floors. Give each room some TLC and watch more people stay with more positive reviews! The staff was great, the lobby was beautifully decorated which means a lot when we're so far away from home on the holidays.
