We arrived at the Utsikten hotel in Geiranger to find we had no reservation and they were full. It turns out that Expedia had made the reservation in a hotel of the same name in a distant city in another part of . Luckily we were able to find a room at the Videseter where we had stayed before. I cannot find this 5-night trip on my Expedia page.

Great hotel with wonderful view.

Amazing hotel with a great view over the valley. We had a family room which was basically a nice apartment with a bedroom and living room with kitchenette.
Free parking. Good breakfast a little conditioned by corona but everything indivually packed. The only problem for us was that we only stayed one night. We will certainly come back to this hotel if we come back to this area.

Easy check in, code for door arrived as a text message. Room nice and clean and plenty of coffee and tea. Breakfast was awesome and we had a great view from our table.

Fantastic hotel

We booked a family room which turned out to be an excellent arrangement. A large separate bedroom with double bed for us and a sofa bed for the kids in the lounge area. The lounge area included a small kitchen to make our own snacks (useful, as eating out can be pricy in Norway). The hotel lobby was very well laid out, comfortable and had a welcoming atmosphere. All of the staff were more than wiling to help and arranged for the museum on site to be opened specially for us. Food was excellent with locally sourced produce at a reasonable price (cheaper to eat in the hotel than elsewhere), with food suitable for adults and children. The view down the valley was amazing and every room has a balcony with a valley view. We will definitely be returning here.

Fint hotell med hyggelig betjening og fint rom. Eneste grunn til at jeg overnattet var at det var halve prisen av hotell i Flekkefjord. En stor omvei med dårlig og svingete vei for å komme seg dit. Som sagt, fint hotell med utsikt men med ganske håpløs beliggenhet.

Hotel med flot udsigt, trænger til opgradering.

Dejligt hotel, men da der langt fra boede mange der, havde jeg ærlig talt forventet god udsigt, evt. opgrade.
Værelset noget nedslidt.
Maden i restauranten var ok, selvom fisken var lidt tør.
Fitness er meget mangelfuld, intet over 5kg!!
Men morgenmaden var superb og det samme var personalet i restauranten, både aften & morgen.
Men alt i alt ikke godtnok til prisen.

Anbefales på det varmeste! Kjempegod frokost, fantastisk utsikt, hyggelig personale, stille og rolig på hotellet. Kjempefin lobby med gratis shuffleboard, stor parkeringsplass, veldig fint rom! Vi var så fornøyde at vi ble en ekstra natt! Bildene på hotels.com gir et dårlig inntrykk og må overses, hotellet er kjempefint med mye finere bad enn de som vises på bildene.

Veldig fint hotell, med fantastisk utsikt. Grei frokost, men kun traktekaffe og ikke det største utvalget. Vi bestilte et stort rom og det var veldig romslig og fint, med stue med kjøkkenkrok og balkong. Dusjen er litt rar, med et dusjforheng som ikke holder vannet inne i dusjen. Ble vått på hele det vesle badegulvet.

Vi har vært på tur denne uka, i telt og små hytter, da vi bestemte oss for å ta siste natt på Utsikten Hotell. Det angrer vi ikke på, vi fikk stort familierom med flott utsikt. Servicen fra de blide og hjelpsomme ansatte var formidabel, og alt lagt til rette. Maten i resturanten er også absolutt å anbefale, vi hadde kalv og kveite og det var flott tilbredt og veldig gode smaker begge deler. Vi takker for et supert opphold og kommer gjerne tilbake hit!

Vi hadde et supert opphold på Utsikten hotell, som ligger helt fantastisk. Veldig hyggelig personale, kjempe fin service. Nydelig frokost, godt utvalg, ferske bakevarer. Vi ankommer og får tildelt et lite rom i gamlefløyen som er uten noe som helst Utsikt.
Prøver å oppgradere og må betale 300 for utsikt, dette rommet er også lite, tar en ny oppgradering til Rom med balkong og utsikt...dette kostet meg 500 -føler at siden jeg tok bonusovernatting ble tildelt noe gammelt..
utrolig skuffet at jeg som har vært Goldmedlem i 2023 og på vei til Gold medlem nå 2024 ikke får noe bedre ...

Fornøyd, god service!

Vi hadde bestilt et rom med utsikt, men fikk beskjed på hotellet at det ikke var mulig å medbringe hund her. Det kunne kommet noe tydeligere frem på nettsiden at det kun var lov med hund på enkelte rom, da det var en del lavere standard og interiør på \"hunderommene\" . De gjorde alt de kunne for å ordne et rom likevel, så de skal ha for topp service!

Ellers veldig koselig restaurant/barområde og en herlig frokostbuffé som vi heldigvis fikk nyte med utsikt fra frokostbordet.

Ett fantastisk hotell.. Alt var opptatt på Sørlandet og siste liten søk var dette det eneste hotellet som hadde ledig rom. Men \"wow\" for ett hotell. Nydelige rom, gode senger, hyggelig personale og en fantastisk restaurant! Og neste dag en utmerket frokost. Ble for oss en flott opplevelse og desidert det beste og hyggeligste hotellet i hele ferie. Hotellet har også en fantastisk golfbane. Vi kommer tilbake! Anbefales. Bare reis dit og nyt oppholdet!!

Great view, nice breakfast, terrible beds

This hotel has a great view and a nice breakfast, however the beds are terribly soft and you end up sleeping with your head \"downhill\". Unfortunately the pillows are thin, and even with an extra pillow, (only 1 extra pillow although it was a double room) we slept on a slope. We did our best to prop up the pillows with our own clothes underneath them. It did not make for a good nights sleep. We would need at least 3 pillows each by default to get our heads in a normal position. To be fair we did not ask for extra pillows as it would be too embarrassing to ask for that many pillows. I am sure they would have remedied the situation. Ideally they could just provide firm pillows as a default. Surely they must be aware of the soft beds.
In summary, if you don't mind sleeping downhill, or don't mind to ask for some extra pillows this hotel is great because of the stunning views.

Fin beliggenhet og flott utsikt over dalen

Vi hadde et hyggelig opphold på Utsikten hotell Kvinesdal. Litt høy pris på rommet, helt ordinært dobbeltrom, riktignok med utsikt over dalen. Vegg til vegg teppe på rommet, upraktisk for allergikere. Kjøleskapet på rommet virket ikke, og aircondition var heller ikke noe å skryte av. Frokosten var god, men veldig enkel. Personalet var hyggelig og serviceminded. Treningsrommet var lite og ikke veldig godt utstyrt, burde vært en ribbevegg og evt en tredemølle.

Das Hotel liegt oberhalb des Ortes Kvinesdal. Ein Auto ist deshalb unbedingt empfehlenswert. Ein kostenloser Parkplatz mit ausreichend Stellplätzen befindet sich direkt vor dem Hotel. Wer golfen möchte: ein Golfplatz ist in der Nähe und das Hotel bietet auch entsprechende Arrangements. Unser Zimmer war gut, wir hatten einen schönen Ausblick ins Tal. Schade war dabei, dass das Zimmer keinen Balkon hatte und vor dem Talblick erst einmal ein Dach zu sehen war. Besonders gefallen hat uns das Frühstück im Hotel. Tolle Auswahl! Das Hotelpersonal war sehr nett und sympathisch, egal ob an der Rezeption oder beim Frühstück.

Nyt Utsikten!

Flott hotell m/ god mat og service. Renholdet er godt. Lun og fin atmosfære. Vi var en gruppe på seks venner som alle vil anbefale Utsikten som overnattingssted ved besøk i Kvinesdal - regionen.

En flott opplevelse

Å åpne døren til rommet var en positiv overraskelse. Dette var jo en lekker suite. Nydelige farger, deilig veranda, behagelig soverom og bad. Frokosten var utmerket med personlig service i nydelig lokale. Dette fristet virkelig til gjentakelse.

Flott utsikt, god mat og en super golfbane

Vi ble veldig hyggelig mottatt og ble oppgradert til 5 etasje. Vi hadde en super balkong med utsikt over Kvinesdal. Vi spiste en utmerket middag i restauranten. Etter en god natt søvn spilte vi 18 hull golf på Utsikten golf. Topp service og et minnerikt opphold.

Stor sett bra, men to minuspunkter.

Et utmerket hotell. Men to forhold var av negativ karakter. Ved middagsserveringen ble vi betjent av en servitør som ikke kunne norsk. Ikke akseptabelt . Kun dansk øl var tilgjengelig på et norsk hotell.

Amazing

Fantastisk service, nydelig lokal mat! Ei super engasjerende og blid daglig leder, som alltid har tid til å prate. Alt blir tatt hensyn til, om man sier man er der for å slappe av ei natt, så får du rom skjermet fra andre. Alt i alt - tipptopp! Vi kommer tilbake for ny barnefri natt

Et super lækkert hotel på toppen af Kvinesdal. Den smukkeste udsigt, og det sødeste og helt utrolig venlige personale fik os til at føle os hjertelig velkommen.
