The staff was amazing!! The only reason why I gave this a 2 star rating is because our room had a horrible smell. It smelled like a wet dog in there. I went to the desk and she gave me something that they used to clean the rooms and it helped a little, but like any cleaner once the good smell wore off it smelled bad again.

Although the stay was comfortable, I will not be going back there due to how the front desk treats guests. I did not feel welcome at all during check in. Rather, one is made to feel that you are a nuisance for being there, interrupting their personal phone calls.

I’m staying next door from now on.

Entire floor smelled like marijuana. Loud people in the hallways. Check in clerk was not very pleasant. Next time I’m staying at the hotel next door. It seems to have less issues.

Check in was easy, the hotel was very clean their beds were very comfortable, but there was a problem with the gas line when we arrived the hotel smelled completely of natural gas!! The police and fire trucks and Gas company were called out!! Overall stay 8/10

When we arrived hotel was unable to get our reservation to complete for unknown reasons between Expedia and their system. I downloaded the Expedia app in my phone then for whatever reason it now \"went through\".
Bad thing we had booked double queen beds ( only thing they had left was king bed. Grandson had to sleep ion a chaise style chair in the room. All worked out.

The only thing is that the pool was out of service, one of our rooms was supposed to be 2 queen beds and we had to sleep on the sofa pull out because they didn’t have any available.
We still made the best of a uncomfortable situation 🙃

Something that was valuable for me was the customer service. I called ahead and requested an early check-in. The lady up front had my agreement and key card prepared before my arrival. My check-in was quick and i was able to attend a scheduled event on time.

So the front desk woman Shay was not friendly! Pool was closed and NO notification and my children want to swim so I booked a hotel with a pool. The Room was not clean there was Hair ties left out from previous guest. The fan in the bathroom was broken and made a really loud sound.

The room was pretty good, but how come every time I stay at Holiday Inn the pool is broken and it's not mentioned??? Like? I have a 8 year old, I book hotels based upon the fact that they have a pool! So disappointed. Won't be staying at Holiday Inn Express anymore!

Common area carpets very stained and worn out as well as in elevator. Room was clean- however ceiling in bathroom showed mold and mildew. Ac was on 50 degrees when we checked in. Had to call front desk from cell ohone(room phone did not work) it sounded like a herd of elephants above our room. Not a good fit for us.

When we booked we selected a king size bed. When we arrived we were told due to Expedia over booking king beds we couldn’t get it because didn’t have that option available anymore. As we’re waiting to be check we in the other staff worker starts attending to a man who came walking in who said he needed a room for the night. The other associate gave him a king bed (that we were just told they were out of)
When we get to room door is so hard and jammed we could barely open the door. We get in and we want showers and I’m getting ready for shower and there’s no shower curtain. I have to stand in a towel while my husband went to get staff to put a shower curtain. Took around 20-25 minutes for that. Breakfast area is small and everything was slim when we arrived. We overheard others saying the same thing. Sounded like people above us were playing kickball on their room which kept us from sleeping in.

I advised the front desk but doubt anything will improve
It didn’t for us….
All they did was put clean towels on the rack
The body wash bottle was empty when we got there and empty when we left
We were left with 1/4 roll of toilet tissue for 3 people
No tissues to back it up, we went to store and bought some
Coffee pot but no coffee, cups or condiments and it wasn’t replenished either
Shower curtain rod was jacked up causing floor to get super wet
Commode seat broke on 1 side so you wobbled while you sat
And the elevator was past due on date for inspection
I will never stay in holiday inn express again and want everyone I know to be aware

When I first checked in the room they gave me was not clean so had to go back and get another room and then the lady at that desk was extremely nice about giving me another room but was not pleased about the lights going out and staying off for most of the night so left early but would have been great if the workers would have let everyone know what was going on and the exit on the third floor lights was not working so had to use my phone to go down the stairs which would not be safe for someone elderly so that need to be address and would be great if the hotel had a backup generator at least for lights just in case people have children

We were not placed in the type of room we reserved. The young lady that checked us in handed us the key and said “here’s your key and WiFi code “. She didn’t explain a lot. We had power failure the second night that lasted until morning. No one communicated with us. They didn’t extend breakfast due to the storms the night before.

Don’t bother

Was told they don’t accept animals after I arrived even though the website says they do. Couldn’t get the room we paid for because we had to stay on the first floor because it’s their hotel policy that pets have to be on the first floor. That was confusing because if they don’t accept pets then why do they first floor policy for pets. Drove two hours back home to leave the dog with a sitter and returned to check out with an employee trying to argue with me. Worst experience I’ve ever had with this brand.

The app said they take pets. Found out after I paid for the booking they do not take pets. I want a refund! We did not stay there. Very rude lady Betsy charged my card. Drove from Colorado to visit family and had to go to another motel for our stay so I want my money back!!!

Somewhat disappointed this time

Check-in was very slow. 2 clerks there. One busy doing some kind of inventory and the other making a future reservation. We were here 1 week ago and had a wonderful experience. This time, not so much. Water pressure was poor. Hard to shower & wash hair.

This property was on line as a pet friendly property. Found out at checking in…. No Pets sign on door. We would have lost our money had not my husband went in and said we are IHG members and suddenly it was alright! I will never stay at a Holiday Inn Express. I was told you can have pet if you are an IHG member! I told the first girl that we were a member. Also, for the record…room next to ours was reeking of pot! Terrible experience!!!

It was a very good place to stay. The staff was excellent. everyone was very helpful. breakfast was good.
My only complaint is they've gone to the hard mattresses like almost all the hotels. My back hurts when I sleep on an extra firm one.
One other thing, I thought the room had a full size hide-a-bed couch. It had a lounging chair, which was very comfortable. In fact, I napped in in several times while watching TV. But it is only big enough for one person at a time.
