Stayed here a few years ago and it was lovely, standards have slipped somewhat, room was clean and everything that you need, shower was useless, water only dribbled out then would go off completely before dribbling back 30 seconds later. There was also a greasy smell in the corridors and lobby. Like someone was cooking chips in a chip pan. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Nice pleasant stay

Hotel on Main Street but always spaces to park on the main road free of charge. Nice bar and the most amazing food to be had.
Room good size but needs a little updating especially the toilet and carpet. Bed very comfy.
Breakfast was amazing and staff lovely

Lovely hotel, the room was very nice and staff extremely friendly.
I arrived too late for dinner unfortunately but the bar looked nice!
The only downside was on street parking but it was fine, it’s only a small town and I got a spot right outside

Disappointing stay

Arrived to book in after 3pm. Given key to room , arrived to room to find it had not been cleaned or linen changed from previous night's occupant. Service at breakfast not great.
In fairness when management informed on our departure he gave us a 25 euro voucher but all in all a disappointment.

Inside is OK. But the terrace and smoking areas are very dirty. The whole of the outside needs repainting. This is one of only two hotels in town , and it needs to sharpen up its game if it wants to compete with the other one.

Is best of the two for location, by 15 minutes, , but meals are dull, even full breakfast has no mushrooms or beans on offer. In fact wouldn't a BREAKFAST MENU be useful, instedd of word of mouth. Staff friendly enough, but could learn a lot..

had all features for family stay for funeral

billing done correctly. staff very friendly from front desk to restaurant to bar. Family stayed for funeral of local member who died in USA and buried in local cemetery. Went to Teach O'hara Pub to hear traditional music on Saturday night. Parking of rental car safe and close. Grocery store nearby.

The hotel is on the main street and we were lucky enough to get parked outside the door. Our room was very pleasent and the bed was comfortable, although our sleep was disturbed by other guests returned to their rooms in the small hours of morning and their was a tapping, which we discovered was one of the flags hanging outside blowing with the wind and hitting our window. We had Seabass for dinner and the meal was exceptional good, although a cockroach walked across the dinning room floor, which I stood on and it took the second member of staff I told before it was removed. Breakfast was quite nice and plentiful and the staff were very helpful, with a special thanks to the receptionist. Our overall stay was a pleasent one.

The condition and standard of the hotel was very poor. On entering there was a smell of grease from the cooking and there was lots of flies in the door way on both days we were there. The food was over priced and sub standard. The breakfast was dreadful and I could not eat it. The location was good for us as our family live nearby but we will not be staying in this hotel again... ever.

The downstairs public areas of this hotel was lovely - and the staff can be very friendly and helpful.

However the hotel itself needs an over haul. The rugs need to be cleaned, the rooms re-painted, and newer less worn linens supplied.

Staff is in short supply but very helpful when available. The entire town is very small & quiet so you shouldn't come here if you're looking for clubbing in the evenings or shopping. The hotel is quite some distance from larger cities such as Sligo or Galway.

We wish we ciuld have stayed longer.

The hotel is clean and comfortable and the food is the best I've ever had. The town is lovely and you can walk to every place you want to go. I would stay there again next time we go. The staff was very polite and welcoming. The man who answered the door after midnight was also very pleasant. It is a great place.

Very pleasant experience enhanced by the friendly staff

My stay at the Cill Aodain although very short, was a very pleasant one. The staff were attentive and very friendly. There was a lovely atmosphere in the bar/dining area and the food was well presented. The bedroom was very clean and comfortable with a good size room. My only criticism was that there was no window in the bathroom and as a result there was a slight smell of damp/condensation. But overall I enjoyed my stay and would definitely consider going back to stay there again.
