Traveled with partner for 2 nights. Both of us had a great stay here. The host was kind, respectful, and very accommodating with luggage storage, which was extremely helpful. The location is easy to find and conveniently close to many shops and a street full of great quick service food and sit down restaurants. It’s also very close to the meeting points for Vatican tours.

I felt safe during my stay, and the room was clean. The shower was excellent. The bathroom was a little small for me, but still comfortable and perfectly adequate. The breakfast croissants were absolutely delicious.

The building has a small elevator, which is typical for older buildings. It needs to be handled gently, but it works really well.

On top of that there was a very bad noise coming from the bathroom and the kitchen all night we didn’t have a good night sleep

Good location, clean room, comfortable bed and a great shower. If you are only looking for a place to come back to sleep in, this is an excellent choice. But if you are planning to stay inside for prolonged periods of time, this is not suitable as the space is limited.

Very cool building and room. The staff was friendly and helpful when asked for accommodations or help around the city. Recommend having the WhatsApp available for communication. Made it very easy and accessible to staff when they were not around. We would absolutely stay here again if we come back to Rome. Highly recommend this place.

We had a wonderful stay! This accommodation felt more like an apartment with multiple rooms, which was perfect for our family of four. What wasn’t mentioned on the booking site, but was such a pleasant surprise, is that there’s a communal kitchen. That was especially helpful for washing my little one’s bottles.

The room itself was comfortable with very cozy beds. Check-in was smooth with clear instructions, and having an elevator made a big difference since we were on the 4th floor. The neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe, which gave us peace of mind traveling with kids. As a bonus, there’s a gelato shop right on the corner that stays open late—and it was honestly the best gelato we had in Rome! A convenience store across the street made it easy to grab anything we needed.

Our host was wonderful—very friendly, checked in with us daily, and even recommended great local spots. We also loved the complimentary fresh croissants each morning.

Overall, this place checked all of our boxes and made our trip so enjoyable. We would absolutely stay here again!

We loved this place! It is very conveniently located to Vatican City and many other areas. Mary was the host at the property and she could not have been any more helpful and welcoming! The room was clean, well supplied and has all the amenities you could want. Mary also provided fresh croissants and coffee in the morning!

It is walkable when going to the Vatican but not really close to the Metro. The place is clean and modern toilets and beds- there is a quaint elevator but it works well- just small and old- i wish there was air conditioning outside the rooms and in the hallways. There’s fresh croissants daily and fridge in kitchen is available . The host was super nice.

First time in Rome and already was amazed by the beauty of it all but more importantly, I was very satisfied by how close our hotel was to a lot of very popular areas in Rome, including the Vatican. Capricci Romano is amazing and the staff is 10/10. I loved my stay there.

Has everything you need!!!

This is a hidden gem in a nice area which is only a 5 minutes walk to Vatican City. Lovely and clean accommodation. The team were very helpful and friendly. There is an area for complimentary breakfast pastries and coffee which is a nice touch. Highly recommend.

It's a guest house, not a hotel. 4 rooms. No service to speak of. On 4th floor of old building. Thin walls. Clean, including bath.
Tiny ancient elevator. Good neighborhood, food stores and restaurants nearby. Not sure I would rebook.....

Fantastic base to see Rome

Mary met us on arrival and explained everything. Really lovely room and modern bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities and a little kitchen area next door where you can make nesspresso coffee and even a milk frother. Beautiful selection of fresh croissants provided every morning at 7.00am. A fridge to keep water cool or wine. Fresh towels every day. A supermarket almost next door . There are numerous restaurants with bars all around the area. It’s only a five minute walk to the Vatican, about 5 minutes to the St Angelo castle and bridge and the hop on hop off buses stop just at the other side of the bridge. A fabulous base to see Rome. The boiler is a bit noisy during the night but I’d still stay here again. It is a guest house and took us a little while to find it. Just look out for the lovely brass plaque on the side of the enormous doors .

Everything was great, the manager of the property was very nice. The property was very clean and quiet, we felt safe during our stay there and it was walking distance from some most of the places we wanted to visit. I definitely recommend it.

Beautiful property with a vintage elevator. Rooms have high ceilings, comfrotae beds and large windows. Fabulous location, minutes away from Vatican, the river, and all the restaurants in Borgo. AC and wifi work perfectly. Staff are courteous and efficient, and Mary (the property manager) is super!

I payed $790 $30 taxes for deluxe 1 bedroom with kitchen on September 2024. The owner gave me tiny room #3, without closet and no space to walk in room. When we put 2 our luggages, we block the bed and not able turn around. It was old guess house, not hotel, No kitchen in rom. It was one kitchen without microwave for 4 rooms. Building has very old elevator and you have to bring your staff one level up to the elevator. Owner of this guess house doesn't provide any shuttle to the airpot. You have to walk approximately 1 km with all your luggages to get city shuttle. It was advertising that room has city view. Through our window we saw old house in poor condition and ongoing construction project. It was total scam of. Expedia has to reconsider this property and provide correct advertisement. I was really regret to pay $810 for this room for 3 nights and will not recommend anybody to rent any room on this property room.

The property has a very quaint old lift, The room was pleasant and clean although the lack of instructions prior to arrival was concerning as there is no reception and the arrival information could have been better supplied before panic set in the day before flying.
The location is great for the Vatican city and there is a great Gelato bar located right next door.

Great boutique hotel. Very close to the Vatican and Tiber River. Lots of touristy things to do within walking distance. Very nice to come back to good air conditioning and comfy beds. Highly recommend.

Location was great, 5 minute walk to the Vatican. Not to far from alot of the other sites. Room really clean and tide but was quite small, we really on used it for sleeping so it was okay. Did not seen any staff while I was there but the online check in was easy to use and staff is easy to contact through WhatsApp.

The property is only operated by keys, you have to turn on the light, turn on the air conditioner and even when you are inside, you have to use key to lock it. Very old lay back technology, they have only 1 elevator and barely fit 3 people in there, there is no fire escape, you are trap when there is a fire.

You can walk to the Vatican from here. Rooms are really small, it is an apparent turn into b&b type. I miss a microwave in the kitchen but I appreciate the AC unit and fridge in the room. If you are traveling with someone with mobility issues, this is not the place for you. Other than that we enjoy the place. They put crossaints every morning and coffee is available as well.

Comfy choice close to the Vatican

This was the perfect spot for our 1 night stay in Rome and visit to St. Peter's. The rooms are on the 4th floor of a building with marble stairs and a vintage elevator. The room itself had plenty of space, a nice bathroom and a comfy bed. Check in was self service, with text messages giving good instructions and door codes. We only met the host at chekout. This is a great option for the low maintenance traveler who wants to be right on the front steps of the Vatican.

Our triple room was immaculately clean, comfortable and stylish. The shower is fabulous- and the toiletries and towels felt so luxurious. The whole place smells great and the air con works very well.
Communication from hosts was really good - and we had enough privacy and space.
We loved the vintage lift Thanks for the coffee and delicious pastries each morning.

Rome Wedding Anniversary

Capricci Romani is an ideal place to stay for a number of reasons. Located within walking distance of the vatican, its lication also afforded a cinvenient starting point to visit all of the major attractions. You're first greeted by a vintage elevator with a handled door and a set of internal swinging doors. Make sure you close the doors when you reach your floor or the elevator will be stuck. The room is quite modern as seen in the promotional photos. The shower was very comfortable with both a wand and a rain shower head. Noteworthy is a bound and professionally printed recommendations book in both Italian and English pointing out nearby eateries for both aperitivi and dinner. My wife and I were very pleased with the several we tried and thankful for the recommendations. A cozy little common space, just outside our room, has several tables, self-serve coffee and espresso machines and fresh morning cornetti. All and all, Capricci Romani is a comfortable place and we would certainly stay again.

A wonderful stay, great location, lovely room worth all the amenities we needed. We loved the croissants left out for breakfast and the milk to make tea and coffee. Communicating via what's app was quick and easy. I wish all accommodation we stayed in was a pleasant as this and would happily recommend and stay again! Kids had 2 beds we had a king, fridge, and black out curtains. Air con and a charming lift to level 4.

Fantastic property within a 2km walk of most sites Very clean, nicely decorated and Mary, the manager was very helpful in explaining area. Great restaurants within 10 min walk and several markets right out the door. This is a guest house not a hotel so we felt like we were living in Italy! Although we did have daily housekeeping service. Use the address to locate, then ring the bell on the big brown door frame and you’ll have no difficulty. Fresh croissants and coffee available all the time. We’d definitely stay there again!. Eat nearby at Soffitta Renovato and Trattoria Alfredo de Ada.

Amazing room!

This room was right in the heart of Rome, very close walking distance to the Vatican. The staff was very helpful. and made our stay easy because they let us store our luggage for as long as we needed to. Provided jn the main hall was delicious cappuccinos and pastries in the morning. The check-in process was easy. The room was clean and roomy. The staff was friendly, explained everything to us, and spoke perfect English. We hope to stay here agian!

Great stay. The room was a little bit tight for the 4 of us, but at the end everything was just fine!! It as a two areas bethroom in the first area, there was the main bed with acces to the bathroom. Sharing the same back wall was the second bed, with enough space for a small wardrobe.

Nice value in Rome!

Enjoyed our stay at Capricci Romani in Rome. The hotel was a bit difficult to find at first, but the instructions provided by the hotel were accurate.

Room itself was small (but I did expect this we booked the “economy room” but it was well laid out and space efficient. Nice storage space, comfy bed, and great bathroom. The hotel is kept modern, clean, is very comfortable. Air conditioning worked great, which was very nice for our stay.

Overall this hotel was a great value for money for us. I think the price is completely reasonable and is a great option if you are ok with a slightly smaller (but comfortable) room in Rome.

A lovely place to stay

Great location to sites & restaurants. (Note - we are walkers) The hosts are lovely and very helpful. They are only there limited hours, but I found them responsive to messages. Fortunately, we arrived when they were there, so checkin was very smooth. They bring in fresh croissants each morning and have tea & coffee available. The room was cute and innovative in how they separated the space (my teenagers were in 2 singles on one side of a wall; my husband & I in a double on the other side) There is also a communal kitchen with seating. The room & communal areas are very clean and inviting.

Everything was fine and lovely. The location was terrific--in the Borgo section across the Tiber River, a walking distance from the Vatican. Less crowded than in the center of town.

The room was gorgeous and comfortable.

My only nitpick comment: when I arrived at 11 pm at night after a long journey, I was greeted by a note with Checkout time. It would have been nice, if the note said WELCOME! And if it included Wifi information. Other than that, I highly recommend Capricci Romani.
