For the location and the money
I must say that this was one of the nicest hotels in Rome. The location made it incredibly easy to access public transportation, which was a significant advantage. I was fortunate enough to be assigned a lovely room with a balcony and a street view, which added to the charm of my stay.
The breakfast offered was excellent, providing a variety of options to start the day right. I would definitely choose to stay here again in the future.

I would also like to commend your staff, especially Francesco, who was exceptionally helpful. He provided valuable advice regarding transportation and was always willing to assist with any questions.

I have been to AG many many times. And extended stays each time. Always wonderful. This last trip some challenges at the hotel and many times switched rooms. I know they are renovating.
One thing I did not know in all the years was
Allowing dogs - and I had a barker for hours left alone in room next to me.
The rooftop is amazing.
Staff amazing. They are fixing water issue they told me. Always a 5 star review from me until this past time-
I am confident they will fix what is necessary and reopen better than ever. I am grateful for all my years at AG and close to Vatican where I always want to be.
Massimo, Francesco, and all the staff are so wonderful. And always happy smile when I see them again.

The hotel is on the Via Crescenzio, one of the main arterial roads around the Vatican, so if you have your window open it is very noisy at night (particularly at the moment when there are a lot of works going on).
The hotel is okay, the room was a good size, but it is in need of upgrading and improvement; there was only one functional plug in my room which was also very loose (dangerous), and no plug for the bath. In summary, it was okay but not good enough for a four star.

We loved the location and we had stayed there about 17 years ago as well. We thought it was fun to stay there again.
We just wished that the air conditioning worked a bit better. Reception staff was very helpful with getting us taxi's and all. Francesco was the best!!

We were so pleased with our stay here - the staff were wonderful, friendly and great with our kids and the hotel itself was just what we needed. Breakfast was plentiful without being overwhelming, the room was clean and spacious and regularly cleaned for us, the location was great - a stone’s throw from the Vatican and a seven minute stroll to the metro. All for a very reasonable price. Couldn’t fault it, if we come back to Rome we will be back!

The hotel is near everything but the condition of the hotel is not so good. At night when the big cars go through the road you could feel the hotel tremble like a turbulence. The elevators are small. I enjoyed the breakfast and the staff are friendly .

Ideal location in Prati, close to everything, just cross the bridge and you are Piazza del Popollo. In Prati, several very good restos and wow boutiques and of course minutes away from Vatican. Take the bus to and from airport on Crescenzia 2. in 25 min. The staff at Atlante : helpful, patient. First night we had a room in front of hotel , it was noisy and the next day we were transfered to a big room in the back no noise. We love that hotel and highly recommend it.

The hotel AND staff were absolutely wonderful. The location of the hotel was perfect, close to St Peter’s and walking distance to everywhere else. Plenty of restaurants within minutes of the hotel so there was never a chance of us going hungry. Next time we are in Rome we will DEFINITELY stay here again. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Zero tourist info available - The room offered was old tired and Not 4 star - we eventually got 1/2 ok room - breakfast poor and under staffed - no one in charge - every breakfast order for 7 nights stay a disaster - a glass of wine €12 - when a bottle in a local Resturant for same €20

What an amazing experience we had. The rooftop view was a highlight to our vacation. Buffet breakfast every morning was fresh and delicious. Helpful staff in navigation of the city and calling taxis for us. Loved it and would go back in a heartbeat ❤️

Serious damage concern, since the roof at the entrace of the room was wet & damaged... I was worried that won't it won't felt over me and my wife.

My Company plus my job as a Quality Control Inspector is going everywhere woldwide traveling to Factories-Products on a weekly bases and this hotel is the one and only premise that do not have no even one microwave (either in the rooms)or a kitchen oven to slightly warm up a night before lef over couple delicious pizza pieces and couple fried buffalo chesse.

Note:
From a bussiness to bussiness perspective:
Keeping the money plus saving on equipment electricity at the client's expenses limiting each visitor is real sad action from a hotel.

We stayed here for 3 nights and we couldn’t fault it. The room was fairly small but big enough for what we were there for (a city break so no time spent in the room). It was clean and the bed was comfy. The decor is very dated through the hotel but it’s typically old fashioned Italian so we quite liked it. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again

Nice hotel... the details let it down.

Nice building and convenient location. The man who checked us in was quite moody & not very welcoming. The man who checked us out was pleasant & helpful. No interaction with staff apart from that. Our room was small but this wasn't unexpected for the price we paid. The problem is in the small details. There was no iron or kettle but I understand this may be because of a strange Italian law. If so, not their fault. There was supposed to be a jacuzzi bath but the instructions did not match the controls. It does say to ask staff but couldn't be fussed. The shower sprinkler was not fitted properly so water sprayed out the side of the shower head quite hard. The wall fitting was too close to the ceiling so the shower head did not fit. All of this made a quick shower quite challenging. There was also slight mould on the shower wall. The windows leaked water onto the floor in a thunderstorm downpour, only way to stop this was by closing the outer shutters.

With a little attention this could be a very nice hotel. Don't think with the current facilities our room lived up to the 4* rating.

Hotel was great and very well placed. Near Vaticano and Castel Sant’Angelo. Nice room, comfortable and clean. Staff was not very kind, but I think it’s the way people of Roma treat tourists. I felt the same treatment in every restaurant or shop I went. It seams they do not and effort to help you with language or customs questions, but similar to other in Rome. I think I would come back in the future. Balance is positive

Located on a peaceful side street just a few minutes walk from the Vatican museums, St. Peter's Basilica, Castle Sant Angelo, etc., this wonderful little hotel offers incredible value for the money. Plenty of quaint restaurants and bars nearby. Comfortable, clean, well-appointed rooms. Super-accommodating staff. Reasonable breakfast to start your day, and a cozy little bar to end your evening. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

One small elevator and its slow. Like everything in Italy/Rome, hidden fees (bait and switch) abound. Free Breakfast has a per person service charge that is higher than cost to eat bkfst at a cafe. It is definitely a good bkfst buffet similar to what you get in the states so you do get your $$ worth. Per person taxes (4 of us) per day wasn't covered by the AARP/Expedia booking. When you have a large family all these per person things add up fast and are hard to plan and budget in advance.
The rooftop restaurant is on the partner hotel not this one and its pricey. The place is good enough on its own that they would be better served to eliminate the impressions of false advertising and hidden fees.

The hotel was very comfortable and we couldn't fault the room itself. Very close to the Vatican but at least a 20 minute walk from anything else of interest in Rome. There is not much to do at the hotel itself, there is a bar to sit and relax but with Italian tv playing in the background. The roof terrace is lovely but would be nice to have a bar up there too. The 360 views are not of the sights of Rome, just the surrounding buildings. Breakfast is pricey for just continental choices, most mornings we went elsewhere. Overall a lovely place to stay and good value for the quality of the hotel, however next time we would prefer to be closer to the centre.

Had requested for high floor and non-smoking room. Was given a room on top floor and we found it too hot as the ceiling height was quite low. Requested to change room and was given a room at 1st floor. Happy with the room on 1st floor as it was newly refurbished.

Nice location, especially if you are visiting the Vatican, the Castel Sant Angelo. A bit of a hike to the Spanish Steps. About five blocks to the subway station, which will get you around town well unless the transit workers decide to stage a mid-day strike. Be prepared to drag you bags down a half-flight of stairs to the check-in desk/reception area. Staff was good about holding bags (albeit in an unsecured area) if you arrive early and want to walk around the city before the check-in time. Also be prepared for excessive street noise, since the hotel is located at the corner of a very busy street, with a bar/pub/restaurant across the street. We were on the first floor corner room and could hear every word of people talking while they were walking on the street. (But, since we don't speak Italian, we couldn't understand what was being said ;-)).

Be sure to ask for the \"shuttle\"

This hotel was reasonably nice, well located and reasonably well priced. It was a bit noisy and I did have to ask to be moved to the side facing the garden, where it was quieter and they did accommodate my request. I would have gladly given them a higher rating if the man at the front desk had been more forthright with me about the fact that their \"free\" shuttle is only free if you stick with the 7 a.m. pickup time. Otherwise it costs 53 Euros for a ride to the airport when you pay with a credit card. This hotel burned me on my way out and that has left a very sour taste in my mouth. Be warned!

Bed was good, room is typical old school Italian so don’t expect The Ritz. Good location and friendly neighborhood, rooftop bar is in sister hotel a block away and highly recommend going there. It is beautiful and relaxing.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in my life. Very old and musty smell. Rooms are small and not sound proof. Can hear every conversation coming from the street/ sidewalk. Room had one outlet and the shower leaked water all over floor after taking a 15 minute shower. Beds were hard as rocks. Literally had neck and back pain for a week. Horrible. Don’t recommend at all

Older, but beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean! When we checked in, we were told that we would be relocated to the Atlante Star Hotel one block away for our next week. We packed up and the staff took our bags to the other hotel, checked us in, and had all of our luggage in our new room. For our inconvenience, which was very minor, we were given free breakfast for the week. Delicious with a 360 degree view of Rome, including St. Peter's and St. Angelo's castle. The second hotel was similarly furnished and equally as nice. Both rooms had jacuzzi bathtubs!

Pleasant staff at hotel but the beds weren’t very comfortable and the bathroom was very dated. It had a jacuzzi bath but the jets were dirty so never used it. The shower wasn’t very good either. The worst thing was the hotel is on a main road and you can hear traffic, which was all night. I suppose you get what you pay for sometimes.

Stayed 3 nights, was a pleasant. The rooms was clean and tidy. Staff were really friendly and the view out of our room was nice. Location was great, close to bars and restaurants and close to the metro station.

If I were to be picky, I would say the rooms need a bit more light, it’s slightly cramped, there could more facilities and equipment such as a kettle. And the traffic noise was a bit loud.

But overall the experience was good, recommend it
