This hotel was three football fields long. It has two lobbies, one at each end, but the management closed one and sealed it up (is this safe if there’s a fire?), and then they stuck us at that extreme end of the hotel. It was a very long walk down an endless corridor to our room. Also, the breakfast buffet was meh, restaurant service was meh, and there were long lines for coffee. When we visited again several days later we stayed somewhere else.

An exceptional hostel right off Plaza del Sol, ground zero in Madrid from which all roads and development radiated centuries ago. Had a private bath with a bathtub, large wall mirrors, comfortable queen bed, and sparkling clean with all amenities needed. Problem is it’s always booked, so I could only stay two nights then had to find another one for my last night, but fortunately only a few steps away as I was carrying too much luggage, leaving for States the next day.

Owners were very nice and welcoming and even let me check in early which I really appreciate. Room was charming and comfortable, and even had balcony view. Very well priced, especially for solo traveler. Highly recommend if you are coming to Madrid!!

I was expecting something MUCH more basic, like the hostels in Mexico, but this was just as nice as any budget hotel. For an extended stay, it would have been too small for me, but was not small. The location is fantastic, just 100 yards from Puerta del Sol.

The hotel could not have been more centrally-located. Everything was spotlessly clean, branded for the hotel, and the service was stellar. Never underestimate the value of having a refrigerator in your room.

Very convenient hostal, close to main interesting places. We had a room in the inside part of the building, so we didn’t hear the noise of the street. But we could hear the other guests talking, taking showers, using the bathroom, etc in the hall or in their rooms which would wake us up during the night. The mattresses were not very comfortable (too soft). The staff was friendly. But check well what they charge you at the end of the stay, because there was a 4€ difference with the Hotels.com bill. They corrected it without any problem. Overall I would say it’s a good, inexpensive place if noise isn’t a problem for you.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Hostal del Sol. It is clean and safe and near the attractions in Madrid. There are lots of restaurants that are walking distance from the hostal and the Sol train station is a two minute walk. We will stay here again next time we visit Madrid.

Tried to refuse a confirmed booking when I arrived as they were \"fully booked\". As a single woman traveller this was not appreciated especially as I had printed details of the confirmed booking with me. When I advised them that if they did not have appropriate accommodation for me I would have to advise the police suddenly two spare rooms appeared. They initially tried to sleep me opposite the reception which would have been totally inappropriate and noisy especially as I had requested a \"quiet\" room, After this suddenly another room appeared at the back of the hotel, which suited my needs. Although the room was suitable and well provisioned unfortunately the fact that they tried to throw a lone woman traveller out on the streets without accommodation when a conference was on in town (so alternative hotels would have proven difficult to find) certainly was not appreciated. As such I would not book with them again.

L'Hostal Centro Sol si trova a due passi dalla famosissima Puerta del Sol di Madrid. La struttura è ben tenuta, dispone di ascensore con reception al 2° piano, mentre la mia camera era al 4° piano. Personale molto gentile e disponibile, camera di adeguate dimensioni, pulitissima e ben arredata e con tutti i confort, compresa l'aria condizionata, TV e il frigorifero! Cambio degli asciugamani giornaliero se posizionati nella vasca da bagno. Presente anche giornalmente il set di cortesia da bagno. Assolutamente consigliato se state pensando di visitare Madrid. Molto buono il rapporto qualità - prezzo.

L’hôtel est très bien situé à côté de \"Sol\". Juste en bas, de bons restaurants sont disponibles pour petit déjeuner et diner. Il y a un permanence 24/24h ce qui rassure niveau sécurité. Les chambres sont un peu vieillottes et le lit un peu petit mais qualité/prix c'est correct. Niveau bruit on entendait aucun bruit de la rue juste un peu la salle de bain de la chambre d'à côté. Je recommande cet hôtel pour un séjour en plein centre à prix raisonnable.

Tipo um calçadão, não pode passar carro, o que torna dificil pegar um carro de aplicativo. Também fica no segundo andar de um prédio, não tem portaria 24 horas, mas ficaria de novo. Atendente muito atenciosa e prestativa.

La ubicación es inmejorable, todo es accesible a pie o en metro que está a unos cuantos pasos. El personal es muy amable. La habitación es un poco pasada de moda en la decoración pero todo está muy limpio y en buen estado. El único inconveniente es que se llega a escuchar ruido de las habitaciones continuas, pero sin duda volveré a este hotel.

Hotel fantástico muy bien ubicado cerca de todo y muy cómodo si quieres ver Madrid caminando. En la misma puerta del Sol. El único pero sin importancia es la decoración un poco antigua del hotel y las habitaciones pequeñas si llevas 2 maletas grandes. Suprimiria las cortinas que quitan medio metro a las habitaciones. De todas maneras es muy buena elección. Su personal muy educado y amable en todo momento.

Hôtel bien situé à 2 pas de la Puerta del sol, on peut visiter tout le centre ville à pied, Confortable, propre et calme (nous avions une chambre à l'arrière ne donnant pas sur la rue).

La ubicación es excelente, pero muy ruidosa la zona, llena de bares y lugares de comida, el bullicio seguía hasta las 5 o 6 de la mañana todos los días de la semana (domingo a domingo). No sirven desayuno y la relación precio /calidad no es muy justa.

SOLから徒歩一分で、市内の殆どの観光箇所が徒歩圏内にある。また、Sol駅はMetroだけでなく、Renfeのセルカにアスの駅でもあるので、郊外のAranjuez, Escorial, Alcara等々へ向かうにも便利。空港のT4とのアクセスもMetroより便利で且つ安い。バスタブあり、WiFi良好、近くに restaurant, bar多く、またCarrefour Expressあり、またEl Corte Inglesも徒歩圏内。強いて言えば、入り口が分かり難いが、Solから歩いて注意して少し上を見れば小さな表示があり、そこを入ればエレベータがある。
