Check in was not welcoming or helpful. Tried to put us in a 3rd floor suite. I paid for a walk out lanai on the beach, on the first floor. Our room was very outdated, not very comfortable. Bathtub jet’s didnt work. Also, bath water was brown/taupe color… Soo disgusting. Some staff at restaurant were not personable, or couldn’t multi task orders. Beach was beautiful and so was the ocean. Food & drinks at restaurants were delicious.

We had an amazing time at Secret Harbour celebrating our 20th anniversary. The grounds were immaculately maintained, the staff was very attentive, and the restaurants were both wonderful. We ended up eating most of our meals here at the resort because the sunsets were so beautiful. We stayed on the hilltop overlooking the beach and the views were breathtaking. The room was wonderful and had everything we could need. It was very clean and well maintained. There were always groundskeepers working to keep things perfect. We did not want to leave.

Everything you need in one beautifully maintained resort. The staff were all kind from reception to restaurant staff to the beach hut attendants and the cleaning crews. Honestly, everyone we interacted with on the island was beyond kind, even our young kids made note of it on multiple occasions.

We originally booked a room on the hilltop but upgraded upon arrival to a beachfront and IT WAS WELL WORTH IT! The views were absolutely incredible from early morning to sunset. The rooms on the hilltop felt a little intimidating with two young children (why we opted to upgrade), but we did end up going to the pool on a few occasions and the walk from the beachfront wasn't bad at all! Our room was well maintained throughout our stay and had everything we needed to make some meals on our own. Ordering groceries through the resort website was also a breeze!

For the times we didn't feel like cooking, it was very convenient to have the Sunset Grille (and patio) on site. We did breakfast or lunch there almost every day and every menu item we ordered was delicious. Top favorites of our family were the buffalo chicken wings (spicy with the right amount of sweet) and both the jerk chicken and teriyaki chicken sandwiches.

The beach itself is so well maintained, from the seaweed being raked away at the start of the week to the coconut trees being trimmed/harvested. The sea life in Secret Harbor was plentiful - we were able to see tropical fish, rays and turtles without going to far out!

Secret Harbor is such an awesome property! Our condo was nice and the view is extraordinary. The property is gorgeous with beautifull gardens and pristine beach! There’s always a chair and umbrella ready for you beach front! With a restaurant on property and shopping nearby, it’s an excellent choice for a view of paradise!

Room just steps from a very clean beach with chairs, umbrellas and water included. Would have been nice to have a little more information upon check in. (Took 3 days for someone to let us know about the complimentary water) probably due to the check in Staff uninterested attitude. Everyone else including the check out staff were very pleasant. Room cleaned daily and always stocked with fresh towels, coffee and tea.

Parking is very limited, some outlets did not work in room, hot tub did not heat, room size and layout was 5 star. Restaurant and staff were very pleasant. Very close to Red Hook (shoppong, Restaurants, grocery store, ferry terminal).

We had a leak in our bathroom ceiling and had to move to another unit second day of stay. Called in the morning to report leak. No one told us we had to move to another unit till 3 pm in the afternoon while we were getting ready to go to St. John for dinner reservations. We had to move all of our stuff at 9:30 at night along with all the groceries we Chad just purchased. Very inconvenient. The attendant helping hardly lifted a finger to help. No compensation for this inconvenience. Told the general manager was not available to speak with us on a Monday when we checked out. In my opinion they should have been ready to compensate us upon checkout. Instead attendant gave a fake name and asked us to email about our inconvenience of changing rooms.

We loved everything about our stay - just wished we had stayed longer. The beachfront room was perfect for our family and the view was amazing. The beach was perfect for the kids to swim and snorkel and we even got to meet some friendly sting rays right off the shore! The restaurant had good food options - all of which were yummy. We will definitely be returning :)

Staff was friendly and responsive. Our room was beautiful and well equipped and cleaned daily. The beach was lovely and the cove provided protection against the winds other beaches were facing. The waters were clear, and we saw a lot of sea life just outside our door with goggles! Parking was easy and close to our door.

We were in ocean view room. Our view was spectacular. Room was excellent. They didn't do fresh sheets every day and would liked to have known that. The beach is great for snorkeling and you can rent equipment from the dive shop. Dinner at sunrise grille was excellent.

We had an incredible time here!!! The staff was so friendly and helpful, the rooms were private and clean and had amazing kitchens and comfortable beds. Nice quiet beach, Staff was ok pleasant enough. Restaurant was great , our room was good size a little outdated but fine. We did not rent a car and glad we did as the roads and driving can be challenging. If you snorkel this is a great beach you can spend all day just here or minutes away from others restaurants and ferry.

The room was fantastic (it was a one bedroom condo). All the staff at the resort are gracious, friendly, and pleasant to be around. Even the fish are friendly.

Very disappointing stay. Not customer friendly. The place and area are beautiful. We were constantly reminded by front desk staff that this was the off season anf what they don't do. It's on a hillside and not at all disability or handicap friendly. As it's 2 separate buildings in a hillside. Walking between them unless physic fit is daunting. The cart drivers that we did get too pick us up between bldgs super nice. Professional. Front desk not much help at all. Did not offer any service. I asked about laundry service and was told they will do it but we need to bring it. Only saw the housekeeper on the day before we were leaving. Sugars in the coffee receptor were hard from probably moisture. If we asked them to call for a taxi they would but would tell us to come down the hill to get the ride. It will not be a repeat place for us to stay.

My room 322 was clean but EXTREMELY outdated. Needs upgrades, the whole thing. I was able to sleep the night but I would never go back if all the rooms are like that. I was overpriced from hotels.com SO MUCH!!! I’ve never had that happen before. Beach was nice. Restaurant and bar were good.

Lost electric, no a/c and water for better part of a day, no notice to guests or est. for restoration. Had to pay for water.
I was a repeat customer, mentioned at CK in, no recognition, offer for a drink or discount of any sort.
Made reservation for dinner, was kept waiting for 50 minutes while others from the bar went ahead. No hotel pick up and delivery to airport.

This was our second stay at Secret Harbor. This property is amazing with a beautiful quaint little beach. Snorkeling is wonderful. Always beach chairs and umbrellas available and is steps away from your door. We will definitely stay here again but will rent a car because taxis are now out of sight to get around in since we visited 3 years ago.

We came for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect - quiet & relaxing. We only left the property once to go on a snorkeling boat trip. The staff was friendly and kind. Debra & Sophia (housekeeping) were a delight to talk to and get to know. The food at The Patio was really good - we had dinner there every night except one. The gift shop was well stocked with all kinds of good things. The only negative were the biting insects - my legs got all bit up. We would love to come back again.

Our second stay at Secret Harbor and as comfortable as the first. The room we were first assigned involved climbing up and down numerous stairs, a problem with a grumpy knee. They quickly switched us to a lovely room but with a bath tub/shower. Nope. Second move was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Secret Harbor has maintained its privacy from the cruise ship crush, which we greatly value.

We chose to stay here for snorkeling at the property, which we did 11 years ago but stayed at a different place.
It seems all of the units are privately owned and hotel managed.
We opted for a beachfront King Suite.
Overall it was fine, a few things we noticed were there is an approximately 6 gallon water heater, not enough for 2 adult showers. Kitchen sink faucet was almost falling out of the sink, and lastly the door lock was a little difficult to lock, just needed to position the door in the exact position.
I apologize if this seems trivial but people have choices on where to stay, and they just want everything to operate the way they should.

There were many delays checking in. We had reserved 2 rooms for 2 nights and they gave away one of our reservations as a no show even though we checked in.

No water the first night and when it started working the next morning it was brown coming from the taps.

No help from the service people at all I would not recommend anyone staying at this place.

Unbalanced quality between rooms.

We had two rooms - 221, which was updated, nicely furnished, and comfortable deck furniture. Bathroom and kitchen had also been renovated. Room 222 on the other have was very outdated, no decorations on walls, uncomfortable plastic furniture. The bathroom had a low grade sewer smell and the toilet water regurgitated a yellow-brown color backwash. The restaurant and bar were excellent. Lexie was terrific.
