I LOVED this hotel. Very convenient to transit, very walkable, only a few blocks from Wellington Harbour, Queen's Wharf, Te Papa Museum. Great restaurants nearby.
The staff were wonderful, the room was amazingly comfortable and had everything you need, including full-size laundry machines in the bathroom!

This is the worst accommodation. We arrived to check in and the treatment from the person at the reception was shocking. I am not why he is in a hospitality industry. He was not support and not even willing to give and proper guidance ad we were new to Wellington. Didn’t even contact the managers. Expedia tried calling and emailing and he didnt respond. Me and my family had to leave and drive back to Auckland. Shocking service….. Hoping to get my money back

Large space. Not to far from amenities. It’s modern, handy, en-suite, convenient and priced about right. So on that basis I’d stay again. The rest of this information is to assist readers
Straight walk to Te Papa museum and waterfront about 3/4 mile away. Our room didn’t have a hair dryer and clearly a piece of furniture had been removed, leaving a huge void in the room. ‘Bedside’ lights were ceiling mounted and bright white.

Decent location and a short walk to most places. The hotel takes up 3 of the 6 floors and the remaining 3 floors are condos. There is someone at the front desk from 8AM - 7PM. If you're looking for hotel amenities, this isn't the place for you.

The living room was pretty sparse with 2 chairs even though the room could definitely fit a couch and a coffee table. Definitely some interesting design choices, but it was plenty of room for us and it was very clean and comfortable. We never heard any of our neighbors or the road noise, so definitely a plus!

Overall this hotel had what we look for - clean modern space with kitchen and good bed and good shower with laundry a bonus. Parking is awful but the few spots they have a great. But it’s really sad they won’t let you pre pay and reserve in advance. The first come first served method is archaic and maddening. I’ll happily pay more and honestly the parking lift is cool and easy to learn and nice that it keeps your car locked away up high because car break ins happen in this city. Staff so nice - special shout out to Hunter who is very patient and helpful in a hard job.

Also would make it abundantly clear parking is a challenge. I would highly recommend the Ramada in Wellington.

The room was large but slightly barren/spartan (lots of space, very limited furniture). While only being there for a couple of nights, we stayed in two rooms. They were almost identical, but with differences in amenities provided (particularly glasses) and low-level damage.
We were in Wellington for a weekend break - the first night the hotel alarms went off at 1120pm, and we got to return to a new room and bed about 230am. This seriously spoil our time.
The alarm was, apparently caused by a gas leak from hotel refrigeration systems (i.e., the hotels problem). I was also very concerned at the very poor communication with the guests outside at night in the cold for multiple hours. Very little communication, almost none. If that is the safety and care for customers shown by the Ramanda chain, well - I can't recommend the safety standards, so I don't think I will return (it is my second visit).
The staff I met outside the time of the alarm were nice, and also kind. We had a late checkout I appreciated too. And we were impressed by how quiet the room was.

A very comfortable and well provided room, it had everything you could need while travelling. I interacted with several of the front desk staff and they were most friendly, I enjoyed talking with them as they helped me with any questions.
Do note, the front desk closes around 7PM and shifts to a phone after then. Also, hotel parking is pretty limited. Street parking after 8PM was free and very easy though so I had no problems at all. Just something to be aware of, which the front desk again was most helpful with. No complaints, next time I'm in Wellington I'll definitely stay here!

Very poor for a Ramada. No 24 hour front desk. If you are not local and do not have cell service and arrive late it's very difficult to gain access. Dirty, run down, torn curtains, broken shower, no shampoo, unwelcoming front desk staff. Bombarded with emails and texts (recieved after I got home) to provide your personal details online. This is a privacy issue. You have no ideas who has access to you personall information.

It was nice having the kitchenette and the washing/dryer for laundry. The bathroom was spacious but the room did seem a bit outdated. It worked for our purposes. Location is great for downtown Wellington. Also the reception isn't 24 hours, so if you check in after hours, watch out for an email with instructions on how to get your hotel keys.

Better seating in the room - after a long day of traveling there was literally no where comfortable to relax. Small things like this would make it feel more like an apartment room rather than the simple hotel room with a kitchenette that we got. Also our room didn’t once get seen by house keeping which was really disappointing - the booking said daily house keeping but when we arrived we were told it’s not every day.

Hotel was good, was just disappointed with parking situation. I was told parking was on a first in-first served basis so arrived right on 3pm check-in time, only to be told no parks available. They could not give me advice on any alternative parking options, just told me to park on the street. After driving 5 hours and not knowing Wellington this was quite stressful. I went and checked several times and there were parks available. Parking should be able to be booked in advance to alleviate this stress.

Clean and spacious apartment

We had a one bedroom apartment for a 2 night stay and it was very spacious and clean. Large comfortable bed and ideal to have dryer and washing machine available too. Parking was additional but reasonably priced and we could come and go as often as we wanted (even gave us a more spacious park to accommodate our large vehicle). Check in was easy and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Checked in and all the facilities, cups and cutlery were dirty. Needed to wash everything. Smear marks, coffee stains, cutlery had remains of food on. No blinds or privacy voile on windows so curtains had to stay shut the entire time and lights on. Very upset with this stay.

The staff at the Ramada are some of the most easy-going, helpful, and considerate people I have ever met in hospitality their names were (Tinō and hunter). When asked for advice or suggestions on where to eat or what to do while in Wellington they were more than happy to give great recommendations to places we never would’ve checked out otherwise but ended up loving. They always went out of their way to greet us, ask us about what we were up to and if we needed anything.
There isn’t a doubt my partner and I will be back there when staying in Wellington. We are very appreciative for the time spent making our stay free flowing and comfortable.

An average hotel. The room rate was fair for what it provided. I would stay here again.

No food except vending machines. Gym was weak with one treadmill and some free weight dumbells.

No daily cleaning, only when requested. The staff was super good about extra clean towels and coffee.

It was about 15 minutes walk to the harbor and market areas. It was a 5 minutes walk to the main restaurant street.

Staff was nice when there. No staff from 7pm to 7am. Check out is an early 10am. When I asked about a later 12 noon, they wanted to charge me.

Great modern spacious accommodation. Stayed in a king studio unit with city view. Bed and linen excellent and great to have kitchenette facilities too to self cater.
Only negative was that the TV was not in sight of the bed so was not able to relax after a long day in bed watching TV. Also there was only 1 chair (no couch) to sit on so hubby had to sit on one of the dining chairs.
Other than that service and stay was excellent
Great location central to main eating hub of Wellington.

Place is nice, near Cuba street and we were able to walk to waterfront and around town.
Parking is $35 NZD per day is somewhat steep, we found parking nearby for $17NZD for 11 hrs, street parking is free from 8pm to 8am.

Other hotels in better, more central location for price. Parking and access are TERRIBLE-they operate a stacker system ( which isnt advertised) and its annoying having to wait to get your car out. Its also an extra $35 per night, so you have to pay extra for this inconvenience.I only booked this place because they had parking, but it was really disappointing Reception staff the only positive about this place, dreary view, dreary area, dirty mold spits in some parts. Absolutely would not recommmend
