An easy walk to the beach

we have stayed here many times. It is close to the beach and the restaurant in the lobby is good, although the service at this restaurant is not really up to par. It is not uncommon to stand at the bar area (not used as a bar) and to be ignored for extended time. English speaking staff are very limited at this hotel which can make communication somewhat difficult. We were here when the first sirens rang out at 3 AM during the mission to destroy the nuclear capacity of Iran. We ended up in the stairway, but there was no official hotel communication in English so we went with the flow of others. The pool is quite nice however and as a swimmer, I did get in a couple mile-swims during my stay. The pros and cons add up to a positive review overall and I will likely stay here again. It is sad however to see so much trash while walking to and on the beach. There must be some community groups, scouts, etc. that might want to take on the project of getting things cleaned up and beautify the walkways to the beach and the shoreline itself. P.S. Watch out for Jellyfish

I travel a lot and This was one of the nicest places I have stayed in my 58 plus years of traveling many continents!!! Also Isreal is still a wonderful place to go don’t let the news keep you away!!! I was just there for 11 days and I was very safe!!!
It was a beautiful time in Israel!!!

The hotel was lovely. The pool was down for maintenance which was disappointing at first but they gave us free dinner instead and it turned out to be too hot out to use the pool anyway.
Kind staff, super comfortable bed and pleasant room and gorgeous hotel with gorgeous views of the ocean.

To start off I was very disappointed with the parking situation. (this hotel has weddings few times a week and a lot of guests comes and goes to the pool , to the wedding etc. they are NOT a guests of the hotel and take up all parking spaces which leave us the hotel guests no parking and we have to walk a lot and Parkette or very far away! I’ve had my elderly mother with me and it was a nightmare! Check in and check out was SO long and for no reason. Lastly they gave me a room without balcony when I specifically asked for one.
I will not stay there again. 😏

Bed bugs! The management made us feel like we were the problem. We waited half a day for them to change our room. All the while trying to avoid us. I asked for compensation for the problem and was denied. We were treated terrible. I even twice caught the bed bugs put them in a bag to show them because they said they didn’t have them. My husband has bites all over him. Our room was a executive room and paid good money for it. I feel sorry for the next person who stays in that room. AVOID AT ALL COST!

מומלץ ביותר- חדר עם מרפסת ונוף לים

בגדול נהננו מהמלון... מרחק הליכה 5 דקות מהים ויש חניה בשפע (במקסימום אם יש עומס בחניה אז במקרה הכי גרוע מחנים במרחק 3 דק הליכה). הדבר היחידי שהפריע לנו זה שלא מחליפים מגבות ונייר טואלט בסידור חדרים וגם אחרי שהתקשרנו לקבלה לבקש לא שלחו לנו ושניסינו להתקשר שוב לא היה בכלל מענה! רק אחרי שהגענו פיזית לקבלה והיה שם במקרה עובד משק, שלחו מייד אך פחות ממה שביקשנו (יצא לי לשמוע עוד כמה אורחים מתלוננים בקבלה שלא משאירים להם מגבות..כך שנראה שקיים חוסר במלון)

The reception desk was just fine.
The dining room was a little crowded.
The bathroom gets a low score after mold stains and an unclean bath were seen.
The pool was very crowded due to the fact that a quarter of the area was occupied by a sukkah that was dismantled lazily, several days after the end of the Sukkot holiday.
Beyond that the stay, the service, the food, were welcoming and everything was in good spirits.
At check out we were required to pay for a drink we did not consume, a brief inquiry freed us from payment, we need to refresh procedures on how to make sure that the room is indeed registered for the same guest.

The hotel is getting worn and tired. The rooms are worn and tired and need updating. the gym has been made even smaller recently. There was dust and paint splatter all over the equipment. Its like they forgot to cover the equipment up when renovating or painting.

The hotel was not ready for guests post covid. The first room we were given had no showerhead and a broken sink. The second stunk of cigarettes. The third room was acceptable but dirty. We chose to stay out of exhaustion. The safe did not work. Clearly no one vetted the rooms before booking them for guests. Throughout the stay the staff appeared to be confused. We asked for tissues for 2 days with no luck. The chairs by the pool are filthy. Simply putting the effort into using a towel or sheet to cover them would make a huge difference. The site boasts a nice spa, but the facilities were not functioning post covid. They did not mention this on their site. very disappointing. The pool is not heated at all, and even on a nice day was ice cold. Overall, the bones of the hotel are decent but upkeep is awful and the effort is not put in to make it a good experience. The hotel is booking at premium prices, and with all the issues we had could not offer the smallest compensation. We paid to upgrade the room to a balcony (+35$/night), and after 3 room switches and continued errors (half the bulbs were out) expected them to at least refund the upgrade fee. The hotel manager had nothing to offer besides an apology and explaining its a difficult time. I had hoped the Leonardo name would provide a standard but it seems not. We desperately needed this vacation and felt very disappointed for the price we paid

Perfectly delighted with our stay!

Excellent Hotel; Kosher restaurant Tiramisus was outstanding with excellent choice of music. The food was delicious and the servers very friendly. The Hotel Pool is at a perfect temperature and for lap swimmers this is not to be missed to get a great workout and \"wash away\" the jet lag! We will definitely stay here again.

they couldnt find the booking confirmation during check in and it was 4 am in the morning. Reception didint assist at all and finally while I was trying to reach hotels.com, reception said it was ok they found it and it was a problem about screen. No apology, no sorry for the delay after 15 mins of waiting at 4 am.

Hotel is nice, rooms are a little dated. Rooms cleaned well, on daily basis. Reception staff all friendly and efficient. Evening bar food and staff are very good.
The biggest downside to this hotel is the breakfast- the restaurant where breakfast is served and the staff. Tables, serving counters, crockery and cups are dirty, tables are not cleaned, food not great. It’s a shame.

Twin bed was not available on my booking - your reception had to change the details. I was also asked to pay as I arrived - whereas your email said I would only have to pay deposit.

It’s really difficult to write such a poor review because I absolutely LOVE Israel & the hotel staff were really nice, especially Lior at the front desk but I have to honestly say that I would never stay at this hotel ever again and I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

It’s beautiful & clean on the outside as well as the lobby area but otherwise it’s absolutely appalling at how filthy it is.

The first room that we were placed in (Room 916) has HAIR on the bed and the pillow was STAINED! I obviously complained and we were moved to a different room immediately.

The 2nd room we were switched to, Room 818 was smoking room. Again I had to return to the front desk and again Lior switched the room.

The 3rd Room, Room 1016 was “adequate” but again filthy! The runner on the bed was dirty. I couldn’t bother complaining yet again so I dealt with it.

The pool area was absolutely disgusting! Every lounge chair was STAINED, there was food and trash littered all over the pool area. I refused to stay there any longer so we went to the beach. However, before heading to the beach we took the elevator to the lobby area and the elevator had spilled food in it!!

I have stayed in numerous hotels throughout Israel and always had a wonderful & enjoyable experience but this hotel was by far the worst and dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in.

Overall a nice place. Rooms where nice but bathrooms are a bit tired. The overhead shower did not work, plug in sink did not work. Staff was nice and friendly. Breakfast was ok. Gym is small. Nice pool area outside.
The price of the rooms are expensive for what they are, but aren't they all in Israel.
The beach and sea are nice and the local area is nice. I would visit again.

One of the worst hotel I have stayed. As soon as you stop in front of the hotel to check in, no help from staff with luggage and unpleasant stuff at front desk. Dirty rooms and broken shower. we paid for 2 adults and 2 kids extra extra money and when you ask for extra towel because they had only 2 in the room.we had to wait for 4 hours :(

We arrived midweek before peak season. The hotel was very peaceful. Just beware that they charge extra if you bring any children. Room is not too big, but everything was decent. Similar top a nice holiday inn in the US. Worth the 150 dollars that we paid.

The food was delicious and extremely generous, with an extraordinary variety. We booked a club room, which turned out to be small and nothing special. We were told by the hotel staff that the club room is just like their standard rooms, the only difference being that the club room had a small balcony.

Watch out for mis-booking. I booked room and breakfast for 4 days and every day had the problem of them telling me I had not booked breakfast. On the last day they were insistent I paid for breakfast or leave the restaurant. I didn't do either, and eventually they left me alone. When I booked out, there was no charges for the meals, so I felt very upset and embarrassed. Also there was a leak in the bathroom for the 4 days, I had visits from the maintenance, but they couldn't fix it.

Firstly, I wrote a scathing review 3 days ago which still has not been uploaded to expedia and I am wondering why? I have no idea how this hotel has such a high rating because I have never stayed in a worse hotel in my life. The food (buffet) was literally inedible. The bathroom light was broken, the air conditioning in the room was not cold (it was 38 degrees outside), there was no milk in the fridge or anything else such as water for that matter and the laundry lady decided to let herself into our room after knocking and before I could even respond - I was getting dressed. At around $440 Australian dollars - I would expect a little more.

Very nice hotel for families, near the water (but a 7 minute walk to the beach). Plentiful Buffet Breakfast. Friendly service, but it took the reception desk a while to answer when ever we called them. Ask for a room facing Ashkelon, it's a better view.

Went with family for (overdue), off season vacation. 2 adults, 2 teenagers, & an 8 yr old. 21 yr old got leave, and joined us for one night.
Was excellent from all aspects. Would definitely recommend, and would definitely stay again.
