The rooms were always clean and fresh towels daily if required . Fridge didn’t work when arrived when mentioned changed within 2 mins. Always welcoming when entering the hotel.

Room was lovely and clean. Brilliant nights sleep in a comfy bed. Own mini fridge,tv, kettle and shower room. Water pressure was brilliant considering we were on upper floor. Nice quality free toiletries. Staff were wonderful especially Ify. He found my credit card,which i hadn't realised I'd dropped. He returned it to me. They made us feel very safe.

The room was filthy - i mean filthy, black mould on the walls and celling, grouting missing, cracked tiles and bath. The bedding was an extremely thin blanket (no duvet) during a cold snap in November - the bed spread was dirty. The furniture was mismatched and old. We were bitten throughout the night. Person in AM the supervisor was rude and gave us many smart remarks of what not to do when nothing was instructed at check in. Hotel is very small no elevator, many stairs, rooms are confusing to get around in, carpets were extremely dirty, nowhere to leave luggage if you have to check out late, wall plugs nit all working were very few and some non working made for frustration. Rooms were ok basic needs met beds bathroom and hair dryer. Rooms small and small bathrooms like most hotels here. I would put up with those but not the rude smart comments from “Supervisor”

This hotel is excllnt valu - situated right in the Museum district and 2 mins from South Kensington Station. Ther is no lift so not for those who struggle with stairs. Dadly there was one fixable problem that would stop me re using it. The room absolutely stank of mildew/mould. I hope the propeerty sees this and is able to fix it as iw ould be happy to use again on my many trips to London.

I couldn’t fault my stay at the Brompton Hotel. It is extremely well situated, conveniently close to South Kensington tube station. Checking in was easy with Harry, who was welcoming, helpful and keen to know if I needed anything. I was given a quiet double room which was very clean and with a comfortable bed. The en suite shower room was gleaming and brand new. A thoroughly successful stay, good value for the money and I would certainly go back again if the opportunity arises.

Really enjoyed my stay at Brompton Hotel. Fabulous location a couple of steps from South Kensington station. The reception staff member was very helpful and the room was spotless and very cosy with everything you could need eg tea and coffee making facilities, mini fridge etc and a smart refurbished bathroom. No complaints at all.

The hotel was in a good area and the tube station was literally a couple of minutes walk away. The hotel was fine for what we needed it to be as we were up in London to attend a local hospital appointment and this was the closest hotel at a cheaper price. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. We did say to them when we had finished our visit that the fridge would need to be check as the items we had left in there were warmer than when we had put them into the fridge and had put it up to its maximum level ! The gentleman behind the counter said that this would be looked into. We asked for a lower level room which was what we got over looking the road, but when the double glazed doors were closed, we hear very little traffic noise. The one downside was that despite turning the radiators off when we arrived as we noticed that they were on, the heat still carried on coming out, so we presumed they had an over-ride facility and that they were set to ocome on at certain times of the day. That being said we were in a more expensive area of London. There were breakfast facilities, although kind of onsite this was run independently of the hotel. We didn't eat here in the end, but a few doors up on the same side, was an excellent breakfast in La Brioche. This comes highly recommended. We did have a recently re-fitted bathroom which had been replaced to a good standard.

The property is in a great location, but it could very much do with a refurb. From old and faded furnishings to a very leaky bathroom, and incredibly loud ventilation, it was much less comfortable given the current condition. At least it was clean enough so for 1 night it was passable given the practicality of the location.

Very friendly staff, lovely room, nice and clean, had everything we needed, fridge in room was useful, housekeeping were efficient and friendly. TV in room already with hotel's Netflix account or you can plug a tv stick in. Had a lovely room on the first floor with balcony doors and a nice union flag there to look out at! Made us feel regal!! Tesco Extra a few doors away for any supplies, South Kensington tube 2 mins walk away, lots of restaurants nearby. Science Museum and Natural History Museum 7 mins walk. This will now be our go-to hotel when we stay in London.

It is what it is. An old fashioned hotel in a great location at very reasonable prices and wonderfully attentive service from Harry. Don't expect fancy frills at these prices just be grateful, if you're on a budget, such places still exist in overpriced London. Found the Brompton Hotel ideal for a one night stay while visiting the Royal Albert Hall (RAH).

The hotel is good value and in a very convenient location near South Kensington underground station, local amenities the museums and the RAH.

Although the public interior areas of the hotel are in need of some TLC, my room was comfortable, very clean with everything needed for a base during a short stay. Check in was good and staff were friendly.

I would definitely book again and I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a reasonable quality, good value hotel in the South Kensington area.

Staff were friendly and helpful. I was only staying a night to visit a relative at the royal marsden hospital but staff were helpful and accommodating and said i could extend my stay if needed. They were caring and compassionate. The room was clean and quiet with a comfy bed. I could leave my luggage when i arrived early and go straight to the hospital. I stay here regularly. It isn't the Ritz... because they know we don't want to pay for all those frills and fripperies. Brompton delivers lovely staff, a great location, good fixtures and fittings, clean sheets. If you need a lift (elevator), this, alas, is not the one for you. Or grand public rooms. But otherwise... don't hesitate.

One of the poorest hotels I have stayed in for some time, particularly given the price of over £200 due to a high season booking.
Tired furniture and carpets, tiny TV with poor signal.
Unable to fill kettle for tea / coffee due to tiny washbasin, which also had no plug, making shaving impractical .
Reception unstaffed on my arrival, leading to confusion. No breakfast area.

As one of the cheaper properties for our overnight stay in London I wasn’t expecting much. We just needed a bed for the night. And that was certainly what we got. The greeting from the receptionist was not the friendliest I’ve had in a hotel. I’d go as far to say he was not suited for the hospitality sector at all. After filling in more forms and having my card swiped for “incidentals” we made it to our room and the minute we walked in noticed the ceiling light was barely attached. We informed the receptionist of this and just about had a response of a grunt. The bathroom was ok. Nearly every floor tile was cracked and the toilet was almost impossible to flush without some sort of hand/arm contortion. The 4 beds that were in our room were comfy and the bedding was clean. It was somewhere to lay our heads for the night. Would I go back? An absolute no. Not unless they do a full refurb. Oh, almost forget, it’s in a great location for the museums
