Me and my friend assumed we were staying at a five star hotel and were disappointed on our arrival.

We have stayed in plenty of luxury hotels which were 5* and felt we were mislead.

Pros:
Staff are amazing from reception, security to cleaning and maintenance. They just cant enough.

Room - room size is generous for 2 people. We appreciated the extra space.


Cons:
Rooms - Are very outdated especially bathroom where we had many issues from sink being blocked, shower faults and loose toilet seat. We also had issues with safe when we arrived and phone in room.

Noisey - Take ear plugs as you will hear noise coming from 14th floor and also elevator constantly pinging.

Breakfast- way below average and not worth paying extra for. Options were repeated daily, and were limited. Staff were constantly asked to top up food including cups which they later replace with plastic coffee cups. They dont serve friuits like many hotels do, it appears rationed by being cut up and placed on a average plate for guests to take, same with yogurt.

Only had 1 coffee machine and one toaster which was breaking daily while we were there.

Gym - limited time to access which was a disappointment, even with times stated on wall, staff seem to change times to suit them. Most hotel gyms are 24 hours. Water machine is not replenished unless you go look for someone to change.

Roof top - was looking forward to this and was closed throughout our stay!
Overall, i wish they were honest with their star ratings

The hotel staff was very kind throughout my stay! Room service was also available which was convenient for me. The front desk agent gave me a free upgrade upon my check in! As a solo female traveler I felt very safe throughout my stay! The hotel is also close to various places like museums and markets. If I ever return to Doha I will definitely stay at this hotel again!

I had two issues at the hotel and the room. I had booked a double bed room as it was our anniversary trip. On arrival we were told that there were no double bedded rooms available. We could upgrade at a cost. I was also told that a double bedded room was to become available later in the week and we were to be moved- this never happened. Secondly the room smelt damp, especially the wardrobes. We did not hang our clothing in them we lived out of our suitcase. What was supposed to be a great anniversary turned out to be a less than mediocre experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone else. The cleaning, catering staff were great, pity the rest of the hotel was a let down. It is a dated hotel.

The hotel is average, definitely not 5 star. Staff were very nice and the room was clean, but the furniture was kinda old and one cabinet door was falling off. The view of the corniche was absolutely amazing from the room. Unfortunately, the room didn’t have blackout curtains, which made the lights from the billboard across the street shine into the room, and that was quite annoying.
Also, with a club and bar in the hotel, the elevators can get pretty busy.
Lastly with the constructions around the area, you have to take a longer route to walk to the corniche.

Ok for price, but a little dissappointing.

This hotel brands itself as a 5* hotel however travellers should not expect this. While there were some positives there were also many ways this hotel disappointed me.

Firstly, despite paying for a premium room they placed me in an orindary room, and after I raised this I was then moved to a different room.

Additionaly, the hotel does not supply properly hot water in the bathrooms, this means showering in the cold. Also part of the shower appears broken, the handheld shower head did not work. My safety deposit box was also broken, I raised this with recepetion but it was never fixed.

The breakfast did not have fresh coffee, instead guests actually needed to make their own using instant powder, and they even gave us paper cups when they ran out of proper ones. The juice was not fresh juice.

Beyond this, there are a couple of night clubs/bars on site, and noise during the night could be heard in my room, and means that common areas of the hotel are filled with people who attend these type of venues.

However, the location and view from the room was very good. Very close to museums and souq waqif.

The quality of the bedding was good and the room was spacious. Housekeeping were very good. Staff were mostly very friendly and professional.

Overall, this hotel is alright and about acceptable for the price point. However, it's simply not a 5* hotel (I've stayed in a few), but rather a reasonable 3-4* hotel.

The building from the outside looks nice but the rooms have worn down. They were overbooked so i did not get what i paid for.
The room was dated, carpets with stains, old scuffed furniture

What pissed me off was the kettle was filthy, someone had made their noodles in that kettle and it was cleaned at all, it had left over noodles and it was all oily.

I would refrain staying here.

Cons: Carpet old and stained, Shower over bath ,when in use, leaked over floor in bathroom, hand held shower not working, overpowering fragrance in room and corridors outside lifts ??maybe to mask the musty odours of hotel, Takes housekeeping over 2 +hours to respond to a broken iron ,after speaking in person to reception,they replaced iron. Do not book private tour from reception as we were given a guide, although pleasant, has a very poor command of English . Do own online booking via Get your Guide for a more qualified Tour Guide.

I liked the livingroom, the room was cozy, cleaners do the room when requested. I didn't like the fact that the bedroom didn't have a TV as shown in the picture, I requested one and they said they will cobtact the electrician, next day I contacted them again but they said they didn't have any available and that not all the Junior Suites had one, excuses and more excuses. The room doesn't have a microwave which could be helpful for future reservations. The pool does not have a shower so the pool gets and looks dirty.

Upon arrival to the airport the prearranged Hotel taxi already left!
Bathroom bin was full of smelly nappies , had to phone , they then came and removed it with a “sorry “!
My wife then was locked up in the bathroom and eventually managed to get her out, we were offered another suite of same grade, only to discover that Deluxe room with view would have been a lot nicer and cheaper than the suite with cornice view.
Breakfast was average, lacks on the bread selection, no toaster was available and had to send the toast away to be done.
Generally clean inside, the dust on windows spoilt the stunning view ( that was nearly the case with most hotels in Doha)!
Abut dated and lacks few fine details like bath plugs or capsules for the espresso machine provided! Certainly not a 5*
Access to club facilities mentioned in description is literally an access to the heath club! Without any further imagination!

Although the hotel appeared a little tired, it was in the perfect position for the MIA and Souk Waqif, which are, without doubt, Doha's prime attractions. The staff are particularly helpful and we would like to thank Crystal in particular for making our stay so special and run so smoothly. Doha is not cheap and the hotel breakfasts were particularly varied and very good value. We would not hesitate in recommending anyone to stay here for the perfect city break.

I have been a room which was not the one I saw when I made the booking.
I had to leave. I couldn't stay in the room they gave me at all. When asked for the room in the picture when I made the booking, they made me pay more money.
Other room was not even close to my expectations, and the ac sound was unbelievably high......I did not stay. the gave me back only the money they charged me for a better room. the money I payed for the original reservation was not given back to me. If you go back to my account, you'll see that I made another booking through expedia at the time when just before I left the hotel. the other hotel was good.

Great Place

Very nice hotel. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Handy location for airport and Corniche area. Room was spacious, very clean and bed felt hard however was extremely comfortable. Lovely view out to Corniche area.

Gluten free

A better understanding of Gluten free food and choices for those of us with dietary restrictions would help a lot.
