Comfortable hotel. Good Wifi connection. Rooftop bar has a nice ambience and view.

The toilet flush had a bit of a smell whenever in use perhaps from the water pipes. Minor issue though.

There was nobody at the entrance, so I lugged my heavy suitcases up the steps, put the suitcases on a trolley and pushed the trolley over to the reception. Nobody was there either, though eventually a receptionist did come out and apologized. My room overlooked nothing but rusty low-income shanties. The lighting inside was dim, tacky, and reminiscent of a “love hotel.” The fake wood covering on the desk and cabinets was peeling off. The shower only had lukewarm water, and you can’t adjust the temperature. No hand or face towels. The internet was down the morning after I arrived. I called and (politely) asked for assistance. The receptionist told me that somebody would come to my room, but after 30 minutes nobody came. The issue was fixed after two hours. The hotel is clearly operating in austerity mode at the time that I am writing this. The room cleaners were friendly and so was the receptionist on check-out, but all of the other staff were stuffy and unpleasant – which is entirely unlike all of the hotels I have stayed at in Indonesia so far. I really do not understand how this place got positive reviews, and the only thing that comes to mind is that they contracted a very effective online marketing company to game the review score systems on several websites. If you want to have a little bit of luxury during your stay in Yograkarta, do not come here. This hotel is a mid-level 3-star boutique hotel at best, and is not worth more than $20 USD/night to stay at.

Perfect for both airport and city stay

The hotel is situated a couple of blocks back from the end of the runway at Yogyakarta Adisucipto airport. Indeed you can enjoy excellent views of aircraft landing and taking off from the 9th floor rooftop pool area. With 24 hours’ advance notice, the hotel will collect you free of charge from the airport and drop you off when you leave. Cleanest hotel we've seen in a long time.Front desk most helpful. Staff not always savvy with English, but go out of their way to communicate effectively. Very noisy location next to railway, airport, mosque, village with many roosters, but the room was quiet except for the footfalls and creaking floor above after midnight..

Was a very good stay with the family. The rooms were spacious, mini bar was included in the price of the rooms, staff was friendly. Too bad our rooms were not facing the nature but rather to inside garden. Not too near to Prambanan though, not that it's an issue it's just that i thought so in the beginning

This hotel was absolutely fabulous, especially for the price! Yogya is not the most hospitable city, but this hotel was amazing. Our room was huge, always clean, and spacious. The hotel pool and bar on the rooftop were great. The breakfast was vast and delicious. Room service and the dining room were so well priced and high quality that we ended up eating there every night for dinner, especially since Yogya is not great for food. The location is also very close to the airport and to Prambanan, and it was easy to get a cheap Grab to anywhere we wanted to go.

But most of all, the staff was amazing. They were so sweet and attentive, constantly making sure we were happy. They learned our names, and asked about our days each morning. When we left, they were genuinely upset we were leaving, and we all took pics together. Honestly, the best service I've ever received at a hotel - and I've stayed at places costing 10 times the price with less love. The staff here is really commendable.

If you are going to Yogya, this is the only place to stay. An absolute gem in the city!!

Satoria is near the airport - good location.
The service rendered during our stay have been wonderful. Returning to hotel room from our day trip with room being cleaned up, topped up - very heartwarming.
No doubt, hotel promotes reusing of bathroom towel, it was freshly replaced.

I was injured three days before my trip. The hotel prepared a wheelchair for my convenience and allowed me to use it for the whole trip. They also helped arrange for a cake for my friend’s birthday. It was really sweet of Them. It was a memorable stay. Thank you so much!

Very central and comfortable

Enjoyed the close proximity to the airport and main visitor attractions. Extremely helpful and pleasant front desk staff. Breakfast buffet was a real treat offering both traditional Indonesian and western menu. Overall a wonderful experience and I'll definitely visit again.

New hotel with friendly staffs.

Close to the airport, 30 mins walk and about 10mins ride/drive away. However its still far off from Malioboro street/mall, approximately 5-6km away. That can be arranged by using 'Grab-Car' which is only around $2-$3. Hotel had an excellent pool at the rooftop and brilliant music playing at the bar. Breakfast was good with plentiful of choices.

This is the best hotel in Indonesia!

Honestly for the value this hotel is the best anywhere, and I would rather stay here than most of the 4/5 star hotels I have been in. Close to airport, close to Amburukmo Mall, close to the newly remodeled Carrefour and entertainment area, easy to catch a taxi from the hotel (they will call for you), and $5 from Malioboro if you are headed there (about 30 min drive in traffic). The hotel staff really stand out. Indonesian hospitality at hotels is usually pretty good, but this hotel is far and away better. They had my name memorized before breakfast! The rooms do not have that humid/mold smell that even the fancier hotels suffer from before you get the A/C on, and the breakfast was good for the kids and the adults. When I visit Yogya I am sad if I cannot stay here. Negatives: the pool is not as exotic as Jayakarta, and if you are driving teh parking lot requires some back-and-forth because the pillars are pretty close to each other, but an attendant is always there to guide. This is my favorite hotel in Yogya!

A central modern hotel close to the airport

I was very impressed from the moment of our late arrival at how friendly and polite all the staff were. My room on the 7th floor was modern and immaculate with all the mod cons not often found in nearby 5 star hotels. Eg smart tv, usb jacks and good lighting. The desk and reading light was state of the art and the bed incredibly comfortable. Breakfast and dinner was great with a wide selection of Indonesian and western dishes.

Great hotel, highly recommended

Friendly staff, clean and modern facilities and the best night sleep we had during our whole time in Indonesia! This was a fantastic hotel and I couldn't find anything to fault if I wanted to. 'Western' standard facilities and a decent sized room and the staff really went above and beyond (we were extremely sick at night when we arrived and weren't able to make the free breakfast so they brought food up to our room).
