We very much liked our room, although there was a drip from the air conditioning unit that seemed to be damaging a table. We also had trouble with the suite’s sauna, but we otherwise loved the service and comfort of the hotel. Vaasa is a lovely city.

Ebookers pages claimed all rooms having aircon which was not correct. Only some rooms have it, and you can’t book them separately but it’s pure lottery who gets aircon and who not. Taken it was almost 30 degrees, we chose the hotel driven by aircon and were really disappointed, to say the least.

Celebrating birthday one night

I went in to book 1 night because it was my wife's birthday. The hotel staff was excellent and the room we rented in had an awesome jacuzzi and sauna that came with the room that we really enjoyed. I had trouble though with connecting my device to the television which was supposively a function that is part of the television service in the room and also some loud noise problems in the morning because at the moment they have some renovations at the hotel and that the workers started a little bit too early to which i was not told about. In the end the hotel staff apologized and promised to fix the bluetooth problems in the future. The breakfast food was good and overall I say my experience was ok.

The jacuzzi and sauna was a nice feature. However there was a thick carpet of dust under the bed. The shower knob was a bit broken so it was a bit hard to adjust the temperature of the water. Roomnumber 503.

Hotel is getting warn out. Needs more regular cleaning. We didn’t get cleaner in room in our 2 night stay. Hot tub was a bit dirty and bedding had cigarette burn. Also really dirty lamps just above our faces in bed! Good breakfast and very clean and efficient gym.

Great hotel!

Friendly staff, delicious breakfast and a beautiful room. I loved the colors of the room, so cozy with green, brown and gold tones. We had a jacuzzi in our room. Also a sauna, but we did not use it because there was no lamp inside. Too dark.
The bed was confortable. I had a good nights sleep. It was not noisy at all considering it was a saturday night.

Mixed bag.

This stay was a mixed-bag. I reserved two queen rooms with saunas, one for myself and husband, one for my in-laws. Our room was fine, if a bit run-down around the edges. The other room had clearly not been cleaned - the last tenant's trash was still in the room, the towels had been removed but not replaced, etc. The first woman at the desk seemed not to believe us about the condition of the room, but another immediately moved to change my in-laws' room and offered an \"upgrade,\" which consisted of a similar room but with an extra single bed (of no use to us) and a jacuzzi tub (of negligible benefit, but the gesture was appreciated). This room was clean at least, but over the course of the 2 days we were there, no one came to straighten their room, replace towels, or clean up the hallway they were on (a pair of used glasses sat on the same hallway table the whole time). The rooms are very dark - dark wood, low lighting, and the recent \"updates\" were done with cheap linoleum in the baths and laminate flooring in the bedrooms. The toilet seat in our room did not fit, so the seat back fell on you when you sat down. Common areas were not very clean. Despite all this, we had a decent stay and good breakfast, and I want to commend one staff member in particular, Sandra, who fixed my in-laws' room and, when our sauna would not start, came to our room and was determined to get it to work (which she did), while being very friendly and genuinely concerned that we have a good stay.

A Good Place to Stay

Because we booked through hotels.com, we did not realize that the room was in the upper floor of the new part of the hotel. It had a slanted ceiling, which we knocked out heads against often. Also, to find room, you can have no mobility issues. You walk through the entire hotel to find it in another area. But, the staff was helpful in helping us find a place to park our car, across the street. The car was safe. The breakfast buffet took into account dietary needs.

A very pleasant stay in Vaasa

For the first time I stayed in the original part of the hotel and it was a very pleasant surprise. I had a spacious room with a sauna. For my taste the old part of the hotel is more homey than the new part - of course it is a matter of taste.

Very handy hotel to stay at - 24 hour check in.

I wanted to stay at an airport hotel at Vaasa but the closet are in the town of Vaasa a few kilometres away. (There is a good system for booking taxis at Vaasa airport and you can wait in the warm and the taxi driver will come and find you). This hotel was super - 24 hour service (I arrived after 1am). Good Wifi, nice room and my own sauna and jacuzzi. Good desk to work at - just a shame I only had less than 6 hours before I had to leave again but I would definitely stay here again.

A Place to Stay in Vaasa

The family room was great. We were situated on the third floor and the room had its own private sauna and Jacuzzi. the woodwork was beautiful and the room itself was very spacious. Towels were slightly worn, and getting the room turned was off this time.... not sure why. Small but efficient bar and a first class chef... breakfast was great and included. Great restaurants are within a five to 15 min walk. But eating in also proved very good.

A one night stay, had one of the suites with a Jacuzzi bath and Sauna, but did not have the time to try these out,
The room, although large, was a bit dated and there was nothing wrong but nothing special about it, there are no bedside table and strange bright bed side lamps that shine directly into your eyes when you are lying in bed. Breakfast was a good spread and service friendly

Plush hotel, but don't come hungry!

Having just arrived from the ferry at 7.30pm, along with other guests, we found this quirky hotel with a full restaurant. We enquired about dinner reservations only to be told that the restaurant closed at 7:30pm. Incredible! We asked where we might eat, having just finished a 5 hour journey from Sweden and were told that there wasn't much demand for eating out locally. When we suggested that there was at least a demand among hotel guests, we were told that the Sokos hotel nearby had a restaurant and that there was a nearby McDonalds! We walked to the Sokos and had a lovely meal in their unsurprisingly very full restaurant.

Meillä oli kiva yhden yön majoittuminen. Aamiaisessa löytyi valinnanvaraa, se oli runsas ja maukas, mistä iso plussa. Huoneemme oli jo vähän kulunut, esim. huonekalut ja lattia kolhuisia. Sisustus näytti 90-lukulaiselta. Mutta sänky oli mukava ja uusi, hyvät patjat ja vuodevaatteet. Huoneen kylppärissä oli myös poreamme ja sauna jotka olivat tosi mukava lisä.

Vedenkeitin likainen, tarttis etikkaa! Pieni minibaari, ei parveketta, ikkunat hotellin toista osaa vastapäätä, josta suora näkymä huoneeseen. Hiljainen vaikka remobtti juuri menossa ulkopuolella, tilava. Oranssit käytävät 80-luvulta Kanttarellin aikaan uskollisesti.

Skönt att bo på ett modernt hotell när man bott ute på landet utan dusch ett par dagar. Det var skönt att sova i rummet med behaglig temperatur osv. Dock kunde det funnits bättre mörkläggning till fönstrena då det blev väldigt ljust på morgonen. Det kunde också finnas lite bättre vegetariska alternativ i frukosten.

Trevligt och smidigt boende med fantastisk persona

Vi bodde på ett vanligt Scandic-hotell utan några större överraskningar, men det som verkligen stack ut var den fantastiskt trevliga personalen och den bästa Scandic-frukost vi hittills har fått – både smakrik och generös.

Läget är smidigt med väldigt nära till centrum, vilket underlättade under vår vistelse. Först under andra natten upptäckte vi att det finns ett stort parkeringshus precis bakom glashuset – inomhus, i skuggan och med gott om plats. Extra plus för att det finns en korridor som leder direkt in till hotellet därifrån.

En bra och bekväm vistelse, helt enkelt

Accessible room

For some reason we got an accessible room, it was big so we didn’t really mind it. However the room got quickly very hot, which can be a problem for those who actually are in need of an accessible room. Especially considering that they might not be able to move by themselves. Otherwise the room was nice, the bed could be adjusted with a remote control and the bathroom had a showering chair and handles as well as an emergency button.

The reception as well as the dining area were also very accessible, so I highly recommend this hotel if you are a wheelchair user or simply in need of an accessible accommodation!

Negativt i rummet

Två nätter i dubbelrum i gamla delen. Det som kan nämnas som dåligt var att rummet var slitet. Parketten hade bara hälften av lacken kvar och det saknades elkontakter vid sängen. Sängar var inte den klassen som man kan förvänta sig. Rummet var mörk och belysningen i badrummet undermålig.

Hinta-laatusuhde on tässä Vaasan Scandicissa enemmän kuin kohdallaan. Oikein hyvätasoinen perushotelli, jossa on ystävällinen palvelu, siistit huoneet ja hyvä aamupala. Pysäköintimahdollisuuksiakin on riittämiin - vielä kivempi olisi, jos hotellin omalla parkkipaikalla olisi latausmahdollisuus mutta onneksi latauspaikkojakaan ei tarvitse kaukaa etsiä. Tulen varmasti taas uudelleen tänne.

Hotelli oli hieno ja palvelu hyvää. Huoneessa oli mukavan kokoinen sauna ja poreamme. Sängyt oli hyvät. Poreamme oli poltettu ilmeisesti tupakalla ja se oli aika ällöttävän näköistä. Ei tehnyt mieli mennä poreisiin. Huone oli yritetty sisustaa vanhan ja arvokkaan näköiseksi, mutta siinä oltiin epäonnistuttu pahasti. Kaikki oli halpaa lastulevyä ja hieman sinnepäin tehty. Aamupala oli ihan ok, mutta ei huipputasoa. Kahviin löytyi kaikki muut vaihtoehdot, mutta ei kermaa. Se on hotellilta aina valtava emämunaus, kun kahvi nyt sattuu olemaan aamiaisen tärkein osa.

Bra läge. Sköna sängar och egen bastu på rummet uppskattades. Inte så bra speglar på rummet, svårt att sminka sig, väldigt dålig belysning. Man märker väldigt väl att det är män som inrett rummet. Jag tror nästan jag skrek till när jag kom in på toaletten och såg toalett-stolen, kändes som jag var i Ryssland, Kina eller Dubai?!? Absolut inte i Österbotten.

Hotelli erinomaisella sijainnilla Vaasan keskustassa ja aamianen on hyvä. Hotelli on kuitenkin melko kulunut.

Ensimmäisessa huoneessa ei toiminyt chrome cast eikä poreallas, onneksi saatiin helposti vauhdettua huone uuteen, jossa kaikki oli hyvin. Aamupala oli erinomainen.

Allt var toppen! Förutom bäddmadrassen som var för stor för sängen vilket gjorde att man höll på ramla ur sängen flera gånger.

Schlafsofa war bequemer als das Bett

Habe auf dem Schlafsofa geschlafen weil dieses wenigstens eine Matratze hat.
Das King Bett ist schrecklich. Nur zwei Gestelle wie von dem unteren Teil eines Boxspringbettes und dann ein Topper drauf. Absolut unbequem und das zwei Einzelbetten immer als ein King Bett verkauft wird (was es nicht ist) ist leider Standard.
Die Decken und Kissen waren auf Krankenhaus Niveau. Ein großes strammes Kissen das man nicht benutzen kann weil sonst der Hals krumm ist und ein kleines flaches Kissen.
