The Parador itself is absolutely stunning and truly deserves five stars. Beautiful property, excellent facilities, and the level of comfort and service we expect from a Parador. Inside the grounds we felt completely relaxed and well cared for. The immediate surrounding area felt a bit less polished and not as safe as expected, but once inside the Parador everything was exceptional. Overall, a wonderful stay and a unique experience.

Room maintenance was neglected--the hair dryer was broken (defective plug), multiple lights did not work, and there was no climatization (either air conditioning, heating or dehumidification cycle). There was no functioning ventilation in the bathroom, and the bathroom door did not close entirely due to what appeared to be years of water damage, which had resulted in peeling and swollen veneer. The proximity feature on the key cards also did not work, necessitating paging the reception to get admitted into the garage.

The hotel itself is very nice, but unfortunately it’s located in a very poor/seedy area and we didn’t feel comfortable exploring around at night or day. We wouldn’t recommend staying here simply because of the poor location.

Restaurant served great food- ate dinner but not breakfast
The local town had some good shops and was worth exploring from the reception side of the hotel so don’t get put off when you park the car in the garage at the other side of the hotel

Excellent hotel, but front desk staff can improve

Overall we had a great stay here. The building is impressive, the rooms are modern and very comfortable, and the breakfast was expensive but excellent. Our only complaint is regarding the front desk service, which was mediocre. When we checked in, they did not mention anything about the cost of using the hotel's private parking, and only when I checked out I discovered that it costs 19 euros per day. Additionally, I asked the guy at the front desk for an item that I was missing in the room, and he promised to bring it to the room within 15 minutes (I even suggested to come and take it from the front desk but he insisted on bringing it to us). The item was never delivered to us.
When checking out, there was apparently some problem with our bill, but the two ladies at the front desk just kept discussing it with each other in Spanish, leaving me waiting for a long time wondering what is wrong and why I cannot check out. A short explanation in English for the cause of the delay would have been enough.

Appears to be a repurposed convent. The dining room was probably the church (and is lovely). Hotel was hard to find (google maps did not do its job), and spaces in the garage were very small (as is usual in Spain). Lleida does not appear to be a prosperous city, and the general area around the hotel reflected that. Food was very good, and so was the staff - friendly and helpful. Room was large and comfortable but somewhat plain (as seems to be standard for Paradors). Wifi/internet were good. Overall, I liked it and would return.

Hotel is beautiful. Staff great. Take the board-dinner was fantastic. This hotel is very hard to find and finding the parking was worse. We were literally escorted by a police seat gent who we stopped to ask for directions. And we were given a room on a 95 degree day without a functioning ac. Fortunately there were extra rooms this night and we could move. The staff couldn’t have been nicer but surely the room’s readiness should have been checked. And signage to find the hotel and parking has to be vastly improved. After a 4 hour drive to get here needing police to find it was more of an adventure than we needed.

Amazing hotel with friendly and helpful staff that spoke English. Beautiful central sitting area and spacious rooms with luxurious bathrooms. Lovely buffet breakfast in the morning with option to order omelettes, fried eggs, bacon, etc. A short walk away from main shopping area and cafés. Parked car in a secure parking garage for around 15 euros. Getting to the parador was a problem as car’s GPS couldn’t find street until a helpful local put “carrer” (street) in front of Cavaller

Nice, clean hotel. However, when I first checked in to my room, room number 212 I saw urine on the toilet seat. Also a red lipstick mark on the glass cup. Hair on the bathroom floor and in the shower. Refrigerator wasn’t clean either. But sheets and towels were clean. The location was good, close to shops and the cathedral, but there were too many sketchy people and homeless around.
Overall a nice city but there aren’t much to do.

The Parador de Monforte de Lleida hotel is developed in an old monastery. The common areas maintain a pleasant ambiance according with the historic feeling. The rooms offer nice amenities, and the staff provides very good and friendly service.

Amazing!

Amazing! This beautiful, newly-renovated parador is amazing. It is a combination of modern and historical touches—high arches, large rooms modern bathrooms, beautiful decor. The staff is friendly and helpful. The central sitting area is perfect for a coffee, tea or drink from the bar. The buffet breakfast is full of high-quality items and a great variety. You can also order omelettes, etc., from the server. The bed was large and comfortable and the room had an open door to the small balcony. There was air-conditioning and free Wi-Fi in the room. The bathroom was large and modern with a walk-in shower with 2 types of shower heads and the bathtub next to it was also large and comfortable. It had two sinks and a large make-up mirror and hair dryer. The hotel is situated in the commercial district with lots of modern stores and cafes nearby. This hotel was the highlight of our trip!

This hotel is outstanding in every way apart from its location. Turn right out of the front door and it’s fine turn left up the hill out of the front door and you will find this area to be particularly run down and intimidating with groups of people hanging around with nothing in particular to do. This is a shame as logically that would be the quickest way to the interesting parts of town. Perhaps because of this all the local bars closed at 9pm and the latest we found to be open was until 11pm which was a ten minute walk back to the hotel using the safest way. Car parking is a short walk away which is a nuisance given they charge 15 Euro a day to use. The room was not cleaned until after 2.30pm after having reminded reception this was irritating as at that time we wanted to relax. Finding the place was extremely difficult and the sat navigation leads to dead ends and even when you are right on top of the hotel it is poorly signposted. If the hotel was picked up and landed in another area I would not hesitate to stay there again. The interior of this hotel is breathtaking it’s a truly beautiful place and the breakfast was extremely good. The staff were all helpful and friendly For example they had no problem to change our room to a room with a bath.

Stayed here before whish was very good, but this time they let themselves down!
During dinner the waiter knocked over a glass of wine, mainly on the table but also me. Sprayed me with stain remover, no offer to dry clean nor was there an offer to replace the wine nor any adjustment to the bill.

Mistakes happen but they need to learn to make it up to the client.

Great Parador with lovely rooms and set in a spectacular old building.
Did not eat at the restaurant as I am a fussy eater and could not see anything on the menu I could have had - tip to hotel; please add some simple choices.
Bar service was a bit slow but the staff were busy going between bar and restaurant.
Lleida is a nice town. When you come out of the hotel go down the hill rather than up. Head to the square and take the lift up to the castle and Cathedral for great views.

We spent 2 nights in the Parador. Each year when we visit Spain we stay in at least one Parador, usually ones that have a heritage quality. The Parador of Lleida may well be partially heritage but the interior design is so dull, so lifeless. The quad in the centre is huge, empty, and unappealing. It felt like an upscale New York inferior designer had cast a mediocre spell over the space. Such a lost opportunity.

Stayed in several paradors during this trip and loved them all, including Lleida, and will stay in them again because they are so beautiful and great staff at every location. But, our room air conditioner did not work properlly, so staff came to open window which cooled the room down but listened to cars and kids night and morning. Dinner menu should include some simple options as we couldn't find one item that sounded enjoyable. Just a few options for folks with food allergies or picky eaters. Wei truly appreciate authentic Spanish experience, but this was just waaaay out there. just a few options for international travelers (chicken, steak, sandwich .. not just jamon, snails, seafood, etc.) We tried to walk in neighborhood to find something simple but DID NOT FEEL SAFE in this neighborhood. Stuck eating chips and nuts.

El parador por dentro es magnífico, pero las calles aledañas están llenas de inmigrantes africanos. Uno se siente como si estuviese en Nigeria o en zonas peligrosas de Tanger.
La suciedad y el mal aspecto de las calles aledañas invitan a encerrarse en el parador y no salir a pasear. Sencillamente, una experiencia horrible.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour de 24h00 à Lerida.
Ce très bel hôtel Parador a fortement contribué à rendre ce séjour agréable.
Accueil sympathique.
Cet ancien couvent offre des espaces magnifiques (salons, restaurant, ...).
La chambre était spacieuse, agréable.
Le restaurant offre une carte avec de très bons mets traditionnels.
Emplacement idéal pour aller visiter à pied le château, la cathédrale et son cloitre .
Côté pratique, l'hôtel offre à 50 m un parking sécurisé pour 19€ la nuit.
