The staff was amazing and super accommodating, the room was really nice. We mixed up checkout time and the staff was nice enough to hold our stuff for us until we got back to the hotel. They totally didn’t have to do that but it was very much appreciated. My only complaint was the lack of fridge in the room but other than that I really liked the hotel, great location, good price.

Great location near Trevi. Host/proprietor was gracious and helpful, particularly as it was my first time in Italy. Free upgrade to a double bed too! Private bathroom in room. Would recommend for someone looking for good value in a good location.

The location of this property is good, close to Rome Termini and Trevi Fountain. The room is clean and adequate. The bed is the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on. Mattress was thin and buckled. This hotel is ok for a one night sleepover. There is better value out there.

I stayed in this hotel as a solo traveler last year and liked it- it was a bit dated but well-located, and I had a good experience, so when I got the opportunity to come back in 2025 I opted for the same hotel. This time was a very different experience- there was barely any water pressure in the bathroom and no hot water in the shower. The amount of noise from the road and from the adjacent property unloading a truck at 4am was verging on biblical. The toilet seat was loose, some light bulbs did not work, and the windows didn’t close securely. I’d say if you don’t mind something a little rough around the edges (or if you are on a budget) then go for it, as the location is pretty good. If this is the trip of a lifetime for you (looking at you, Americans) then maybe go for something else…

Refrigerators in room did not work, my group had three rooms and none of them worked. I ended up having to move to a different room due to a leak from the ceiling onto the bed in the middle of the night-during a thunderstorm. Air conditioning only worked good in one of the three rooms we had. Convenient location close to major sites.

Great value. All the basics are covered well by Hotel Nardizzi Americana. I was solo in a room on the ground floor. The room was clean. I had good sleep (Opera also on ground floor, finishes before 10pm). Room has a refrigerator and good air conditioning. Breakfast costs 10 Euros. I liked that the breakfast room is on the top floor with birds flying and chirping outside and there is a panini press for sandwiches. Best thing is the location, nearby bus stops that are short bus rides to tourist attractions.

Amazing location, but very dated!

The hotel was not as clean as I expected it to be and I was so disappointed with the shower / shower curtain! The whole bathroom was dated, the shower curtain had mould on it, the towel rail needed a proper clean and the shower was so far up on the wall, the water trickled on us - there was no pressure. There was one accessible plug socket in the room and if you get back to the hotel after 11pm (I think), you have to climb 4 flights of stairs, as the lift shuts!!! However the location is incredible, so near to the metro and the staff are friendly and helpful!

When I walked into the room my initial reaction was that it was dreadful. BUT, its only problem was that it was kitted out with dark 1950s furniture and dark decor.
The place was clean, comfortable bed, good aircon, bathroom where everything worked and a good breakfast offering. Staff were helpful.

Location is pretty good, walkable transit, not too near the attractions, we felt pretty safe. Their lift is pretty cool. The only weird thing was every time you go out from the hotel, you have to leave the keys. They said they don’t have extra keys if we lose it, so, we have to leave it at the front desk. Traveling solo and getting back into Rome from Florence late it was disconcerting to actually find the hotel. Its a building that has four floors each one a hotel. Mine was on the fourth floor. Signage was not obvious. I finally make to the front desk after walking down the street and asking another hotel ...where is this place? I am given my room key #401,it's an afterthought, next to the front desk. You hear everything. Conversations. The picture shown is a joke compared to my closet. Paid for breakfast was very limited.

Owner upgraded me and moment I arrived offered me a cake and a hot chocolate and did that 2 out of the 3 mornings which was nice , also as he moved me to a bigger room I had a much more comfortable stay -only thing I would say is 2 out of the 3 mornings I was woken up around 8 am by very loud staff assume it was cleaners ,so yep was woken up twice and like many people once woken and the noise persists it’s very hard to then get back to sleep and I didn’t really want to be awake at 8 ish when on a trip to relax personally I think cleaners/staff shojld keep corridors esp outside a guests room fairly quiet atleast until 9.45/10 am

We really loved staying here because
Hotel Nardizzi is approximately at the center of Ancient Rome and we came to see all of these sights. The entrance leads to several properties within the same building. This hotel is on the fourth floor. The elevator is very small. The guest reception was very courteous and the entire staff worked extremely hard to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The room had an electric conservation feature so that when the key card was removed the room powers down completely. The Hotel Nardizzi guest staff showed us how to operate the European style air conditioner/ heater. Optional breakfast was available every morning (cereal. Milk, juice, fresh fruit, prosciutto, cheese, tomatoes, bread, coffee, cappuccino, espresso….) My wife and I took full advantage of this option to save a lot of Euros on our trip. =)

Hidden gem in a nice building.

A/C nor heater were turned on, the reception desk said it is usually this way during this time of the year, the room itself was in good condition and clean. TV was dated, would like a bit more light in the bathroom, other than that accommodations were good.
The breakfast was superv for the cost, very generous and a plus of this hotel.
The service was great, night shift manager was very pleasent, helpful and went out of his way several times with answering questions and helping us understand the public transportation system. He deserves a raise.

Wonderful stay!

The staff was welcoming and truly helpful upon request. The bed was comfortable, and the room spacious enough and served me well. Bathroom was newly renovated and clean. Breakfast was decent for a quick pick me up and go. Location was very convenient to train station, a 17 minute walk, and the historic district was a comfortable 20 minutes by foot. Highly recommended as an clean, quiet, convenient and affordable place to stay in the world's most beautiful city.

The location was good and not far from some of the major attractions in Rome. The building is pretty old and there was a church within the same building, so you could hear some noises.

There was more than one hotel in the same building, and the front desk was on the fourth floor, so each floor of the hotel was accessible by anyone, which did not make me feel safe.

Great customer service and I like that there is 24/7 front desk. Beds are quite uncomfortable though and the only blanket provided is very thin. Bathroom was clean but had a terrible odour. No safe provided in the room even though it is listed in the room amenities. Most likely would not stay here again (even though location is great and central to most things).

It’s a beautiful vintage property if you’re into that but it lacks so many amenities- marbled shower is too slippery and there’s no grab bars, it’s too dark not enough lighting, not enough hooks to hang towels etc, the lone soap tray is slanted and won’t hold soaps shampoos etc. Very inconvenient. And the property is inconsiderate about refunds even if it’s for a valid reason. But want to say the male staff esp Mario is very customer friendly and corteous.

The hotel is located 15m by walk from Roma Termini. You can find restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The breakfast is €5 per person and you have cereals, bread, yogurt, fresh fruit, hot and cold drinks, etc. The staff was welcoming and helpful, especially Marco and Mario. The main attractions are almost 30m away (max.) from the hotel.

I really enjoyed the central location of hotel nardizzi and how clean the staff kept my room and the common areas. Very walkable and central to tourist sites, I barely used mass transit and or ride share services.

The sign is on the left side of the door and the hotel is in the fourth floor not to be mistaken for the hotel on the third floor. I suggest going into the building and just as you enter the courtyard a lift (elevator) is on the left take it to the fourth floor..

I left behind a non-refundable reservation!

The stench! Horrible, perfumed cleaning products, I suppose, but overwhelming. I left my windows open for a few hours and it helped a little, but the smell still gave me a headache and some sort of allergic response. I'm in my 60s with bad knees and they put me in a room that required dragging my luggage up a very long marble staircase (equivalent to 2 standard flights.)

The room was shabby with strangely padded, cloth covered walls. The bed was a slab of foam and two thin pillows. This would be fine for students, I guess or back-packers, but not for adults.

I booked this stay because somebody reviewed it as his favorite hotel anywhere. I can only assume he has never previously stayed anywhere other than a burned-down Motel 6.

I had booked two nights here, but left bright and early after only one night—a non-refundable reservation, too. I decided that I deserved better. I don't know who you are, but you deserve better than this.

Did I mention the stench? I know this review probably seems comical in its extremity, but I'm totally serious. I can't think of a worse hotel experience in my decades of travel.

Never, never, ever again.

Our friends recommend this hotel to us and now we know why they stay there. The hotel was reasonably priced, clean room and practical for busy travelers in Rome. You can choose to pay 600 euros per night at a brand name hotel or go with a local brand and get more like we did. We love it. It had a nice small boutique hotel feel to it. It may not have all the bells and whistles of a typical hotel but the hotel room was clean and the staff were very nice. Really close to Roma Termini which was great to get to the airport quickly.

Located in the heart of Rome....I was able to walk from the Hotel to Vatican, Coliseum, Venezia palace...every where! Location is amazing. It looks old from outside, but rooms are very clean and comfortable. No complains at all. I will recommend this Hotel or will use it again in the future.

Property definitely needs some updating (new paint, a plumber, new mattresses). Hotel only occupies the 4th floor of the building, and took some searching to find. Staff were very friendly and attentive at all hours of the day.

Heater was set way too hot with no way to control the temperature, except to open the window (not the best when it is raining).

Hotel is very well located, just a block a way from metro station and about two blocks from Termini train station. Breakfast is good value for 10 Euros.
Room is big but shower is extremely small and toilet sit was moving all over the place. It should be renovated. Also, our room was on first floor, outside an internal patio, and you would get a bit wet because of rain. However, this should not be a problem during summer season.

My understanding was breakfast was included which was an important feature for us when selecting a hotel. We discovered the breakfast was at an additional charge. The hotel was not very clean, especially the shower. The day manager was neither cordial nor helpful. He seemed to spend all his time in the phone when while guests were awaiting his attention. The night manager was very helpful though.
