I can't say enough good things about this Hotel. We stayed for a week and it was amazingly luxurious. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The beach and pool area was beautiful and relaxing. The staff was helpful and friendly, and available to provide anything you could need. The food was absolutely delicious, both at the hotel, and at the Il Doge restaurant on site. On top of everything it is located in Camogli, which is a charming small beach and fishing community full of amazing local restaurants without all the crowds of nearby cities. I cannot say enough about the Hotel Cenobio Dei Dogi. It is an 11 out of 10.

It was our second stay in Camogli and we weren’t disappointed. The staff is very professional and friendly. The service was outstanding. We enjoyed the terrace overlooking the sea, the pool with an attentive live guard, the food at the outdoor restaurant. The hotel has a few buildings and many seating areas in and outdoors. Overall we enjoyed our stay and are highly recommending the bit old fashioned but high class hotel.

Cenobio dei Dogi is a real gem of a Hotel.A perfect location. We spent 10 unforgettable days here admiring the pretty views over the coastline, exporing the area, and enjoying this stylish, smart hotel. Our room was spacious, nicely furnished and the balcony overlooked the heated seawater pool. Wooden floors and a comfortable bed with lovely bedlinen. A large modern shower room with all amenities. However, our stay was made exra special by the team of freindly and kind staff giving smiles and exceptional service. We can't wait to return!

This hotel absolutely exceeded our expectations - it occupies the best spot in town - thanks to Dogi family, who chose this spot nearly 500years ago and the De Ferrari’s Family, who turned the family villa into a gorgeous hotel with two private beaches and the best sunset watching spot. Of course the biggest thanks goes to the current team, who are doing a fabulous job to not only maintain the beauty of the hotel but also contributing professional hospitality - This is a four star hotel with five star service, for example, they remember what you drink in the morning, they tidy your room twice a day plus checking on you in the evenings, they recommend you food with complete honesty and they fix any problems your brought to them immediately… we felt very safe and welcome here and we will certainly come back again.

Four day break on a bed and breakfast basis. Fantastic location with meals in a beautiful restaurant overlooking the sea. It takes about two minutes to get to the lovely seafront with a multitude of wonderful restaurants. The water ‘taxi’ ( carries about 40 people ) is an easy and good value way to visit a couple of locations along the coast. Boats left on the hour from 9.00 .

after arriving a few hours earlier than check in - the staff were extremely accommodating to not only
Check us in but give us a complimentary upgrade. The room was immaculate and although the hot does not provide air conditioning in may, they went out of their way to give a fan and mosquito repellent. It was a shame to hear the pool was closed for renovations but I must say the food was the best we had in Italy this week. It’s a must stay, with extra kudos to the staff.

A solid old building with thick walls and amazing views - air conditioning, good bathroom, amazing sea views, firm mattress and thin pillows - this is our perfect hotel! Staff are friendly and help out as much as possible. Food in every restaurant was delicious. Reasonable pricing of mini-bar, terrace bar and so on. Perfectly located just 5 min from the train station to further explore the area and the airport shuttle arranged by the hotel was just brilliant.

My family of four stayed at this hotel for three nights in June. We had two rooms with ocean views and we’re very comfortable in them! The bathroom included a tub and shower, a hair dryer and a nice selection of toiletries. The views from the hotel, the patio, the pool and the private beach are stunning! The staff was very attentive, and always had a friendly smile for each of us. We chose Camogli after hearing about the tourist crowds in the Cinque Terre. This town seems very authentic and not touristy. The breakfast was wonderful with a wide assortment of foods. We ate dinner at the outdoor dining area 2 nights and in town one night. The food was good and there was enough selection for us. We had a wonderful time at this hotel and hope to return again!

Everything about this hotel was PERFECT. Much more beautiful than the pictures. Highlight of our trip in terms of hotels. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were super nice, comfortable and clean. The hotel is in a stunning position on a cliff edge overlooking the sea and the village of Camogli. There is a lovely pool area, and we also enjoyed swimming in the sea from the private beach. Our room was spacious and well appointed and serviced efficiently. The bar terrace is a great place to enjoy the sunsets. Some of the staff could have been more friendly but the reception staff were very helpful. Breakfasts were very good. Camogli is delightful with a real sense of identity.

I absolutely loved my stay here! If I could rate this hotel higher than 5 stars I would. This is the type of hotel you want to enjoy and spend time in, and return to! I only had one night, but I canceled my other plans so I could enjoy the full 2 days in Camogli and at this hotel.

I loved everything about Cenobio Dei Dogi. Check in and out were fast, easy and friendly. I was given a beautiful room with a gorgeous view of the sea and town. The bed and pillows were so comfortable and all the towels and linens were top quality. A robe and slippers are provided as well. There was plenty of room to put my suitcase and hang clothes and a safe in the room, as well as a desk. I listened to the crashing waves as I slept and never heard a single noise from the hallways or rooms next to me.

The hotel offers an excellent breakfast with so many choices…and a gorgeous view as well! There were of course lots of focaccia choices, pastries, fruit, cereal, yogurt, breads, eggs, meat and more. The pastries and focaccia were full size pieces as well, so I of course overate, but everything was so good. I’m actually craving the yummy fruit tart I had right now.

Camogli is an incredible little town, that was a highlight of my trip, and staying at Cenobio Dei Dogi made the stay even better. I’m already thinking of when I can return again. The only thing I would do different next time is stay longer!

This hotel is truly amazing. It's beautiful from start to finish. Rooms are comfortable. We had a balcony with an amazing view. Rooms had a nice amount of space and lots of nice amenities. The views from the hotel bar and restaurant are stunning. The dinner we had there was one of the best we had in Italy. The outdoor bar area was the perfect place to unwind with a cocktail after a day of sightseeing. Comogli was our favorite stop during a 2 week stay in Italy. We were originally going to stay at this hotel for 2 nights but extended it another night. We didn't want to leave. The service was impeccable! Would highly recommend! As a side note, the staff suggested that we take a train to Santa Margherita and make the 4.2 mile \"red carpet\" walk to Portofino. Made for a great side trip.

This is the only full service hotel in the town of Camogli, it is quaint and perfect. The bartender Mario has been there for 28 years and he really is the heart of the hotel. He was so accommodating, pleasant, and helpful with everything. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful hotel on the Ligurian coast

This is an older, but an absolutely lovely and elegant resort, with stunning views of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the lovely cliffside town of Camogli. The rooms were clean and spacious, the bed linens sumptuous. We had a sea view room, and it was wonderful to hear the waves as we slept. The hotel has inviting little nooks carved out of the cliffs where you can sit and admire the view while having lunch or cocktails, and the service was impeccable. There is a small beach area as well as a salt water pool to enjoy, which we did every afternoon after returning from a day of sightseeing. It is only a brief walk from the hotel to the seaside promenade where we watched the fishing boats come and go, browsed shops, indulged in gelato, or sat at a sidewalk cafe for dinner or cappuccino. All in all it was a wonderful stay.

AMAZING HOTEL!

Amazing hotel! I wanted to stay here forever! The town of Camogli is truly remarkable and one of the most beautiful places I have stayed at on the Italian Riviera. Highly recommend! There is also easy access via ferry to gorgeous San Fruttuoso and Portofino! There's also a train very close walking distance from the hotel that you can take to get to the Cinque Terre towns in around 45 mins. Camogli and Cenobio dei Dogi though are so beautiful you won't want to leave this town. The hotel has gorgeous views of the water, a pool, and also 3 private beach areas. It also has 2 restaurants each with incredible views as well. The hotel staff are also very friendly.

Amazing hotel with fantastic views

Lovely stay in a hotel in fabulous traditional buildings, very well kept, with amazing views all around and set in beautiful gardens. Very convenient to stroll into Camogli - also a very pretty quaint place well worth exploring - and with plenty of good restaurants although we ate in the hotel one night which was excellent.

Staff were friendly and efficient, we were upgraded from a garden view room to sea view room on arrival and the room was in a very nice traditional style and very clean.

We would definitely stay there again as it was an amazing place!

We very much enjoyed the hotel, service, and restaurant. The site is so beautiful overlooking the sea. We took an hour train to visit Cinque Terre -- very convenient. We drove from Milan before and to Portofino after; parking at the hotel was plentiful. We loved peaceful leisurely naps by the pool. Many fine restaurants within walking distance. The facility has the aura of a fine older resort.

We were on our way to Portofino and we found that place by mistake. It has been my favorite hotel on our two weeks trip. The staff was amazing. Great view of th water from our room. The pool is great and I loved the rocky beach with the chairs on the rocks. Lots of great restaurants along the boardwalk by the hotel. Great!!! Food and price. I'll be back next year for sure

Great beach location

We loved the village of Camogli and this is definitely the best beach side hotel there. We chose to drive from Milan and the roads are definitely a bit tricky, but it wasn't too bad. There are many steps to get to the beach and back, but doable. Plenty of beach chairs with umbrellas at the beach, pool, or several of the over-looking decks. The beach is also very rocky, but very pretty. When we got hot we just went into the pool instead of the ocean. There is a nice variety of restaurants on-site, at least when we were there in August. I know some of the restaurants on-site are not open year-round. There are many restaurants within walking distances right by the hotel. We often went up the stairs to another level (not right next to the beach) for some really incredible restaurants. There are also some supermarkets very close if you want to purchase some cheaper water rather than use what is in the minibar. The room decor is a bit old, but it is well kept and didn't really feel outdated and more charming. The only annoying thing in the room is the small safe. Does not hold a laptop or tablet. Almost all rooms had some kind of an ocean view (although ours was limited and from a corner) and we had nice big opening doors so we didn't feel closed in even though we did not have a balcony. We very much enjoyed our stay and only wish we had some more time there!

Fantastic hotel!

Everything was perfect. We spent 3 nights in Cenobio hotel and we loved all about it! If we go back to Camogli, we would certainly stay there again!

Wonderful hotel with great views

We had a magnificent view from our lovely sea view room in this wonderful hotel situated at one end of the promenade of this charming seaside town. The staff were particularly helpful and friendly.

Great location

Great location with sea views, even if you choose a room without sea views you can spend time by the pool, at the outdoor cafe or the solarium to enjoy them. Our room also had a small balcony, which was s nice feature. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. Breakfast was good, they even had gluten-free options. The hotel was classy and old, but well maintained. We traveled a bit down the riviera, and Camogli was absolutely one of the nicest towns we encountered - recommend it!

Fabulous pool!

The location of the hotel was fabulous. The rooms were simple, but comfortable. Best of all, the pool and pool staff were great! The only negative would be that there wasn't a designated \"concierge\" and the front desk staff did not seem too helpful with excursions/day trips, etc.

Couple 50s and 60s

Worth the splurge

We've stayed at this hotel once before and have sent others. All have enjoyed the experience, even though the price point, for a room facing the sea, is an extravagance for us Still, we'd splurge again for a couple of nights. The hotel location, itself, is great. However, if you arrive by train with luggage, the cab fare is outrageous. The alternative is too walk down very steep stairs.
