Beautiful setting, very nice room, gardens, amazing spa, very nice breakfast, very nice staff.
Food prices are way over done, it is in the middle of nowhere so hard to visit anything outside of the resort. But for a relaxing holiday, this place is perfect.

We spent a week at Six Senses Kaplankaya and cannot recommend it enough overall. Although about an hour’s drive from the airport through hills and villages, the journey is well worth it once you arrive at this sanctuary of peace and beauty.

The highlight is the staff: from the personalised GEM service by Melis, to the professional restaurant and spa teams, and the ground staff who ran daily activities — everyone made us feel welcome. Our maid, who provided thoughtful twice-daily service, left a lasting impression even though we didn’t catch her name.

The spa was outstanding, with treatments that were both relaxing and rejuvenating. We also enjoyed a variety of complimentary activities, which kept the week engaging. Along with access to the numerous beaches, gym, yoga and sports facilities.

Dining is a mixed point: the restaurants serve delicious meals, but it can become expensive and limited if staying more than a few nights. On the other hand, breakfast is exceptional, with plenty of fresh options to enjoy throughout the week.

On arrival, however, there was no welcome drink and my VIP status was not acknowledged — no upgrades, discounts, or added benefits, which was disappointing. That said, the check-in process was quick and efficient.

Overall, this is not just a resort — it’s a destination where you can truly relax, reset, and feel cared for at every moment. We left deeply refreshed and are already considering a return.

Extremely Disappointing Experience. We chose this hotel expecting a world-class experience. What we got was neglect and indifference.
My wife became seriously ill with food poisoning after dining in the hotel’s restaurant on the first night. We ordered a locally caught fish which was grilled just for us. Only we ate this. We lost 3 out of the 5 days, my wife confined to our room not to rest, but unable to leave. The level of hygiene in the outside restaurant was shocking. When our fish dish arrived, the waiter leaned in so close to the plate — face nearly in the food — as he checked for bones. He wasn’t wearing a mask, continually wiped his nose on his sleeve mid-service, and the blue medical gloves he put on as he pulled out the bones had been stuffed in his trouser pocket. This was downright unsanitary. The hotel made no real effort to take responsibility, instead trying to shift the blame to elsewhere. There was no concern shown to my wife, apology made to her or even a question directly to her on departure as to how she was.
Be aware too of the fish farm directly opposite the hotel. The fish slime coats the sea water where you swim in the bay. The hotel try to keep on top of the slime but that’s a hard task and not always do they succeed. Small pool area over in with kids and left messy by those who use it.

Fabulous hotel. We stayed both here and the Mandarin O in Bodrum and this hotel blew the MO out of the water in every sense. Six Senses was brilliant - from the staff, the level of personalisation, the spa, the beaches, the free baby food… just fantastic! We will be back.

The biggest issue was that we visited during the off-season, and it would have been helpful if we had been informed in advance that the restaurant, pool, and activities would be closed. While we enjoyed a beautiful and relaxing stay, it could feel a bit boring at times.

This was such a luxurious experience and it was perfect for my honeymoon! The beaches are pristine and the views from the rooms are stunning. I’ve also never had better service at a resort before.

The only caveat is that there are 3 restaurants onsite (that are quite expensive) and you’ll need to eat at those for lunch and dinner since there’s nothing else around.

Great experience overall. Starting at checkin with Abraham.. excellent service. By far the best bed on our vacation. Even eclipsing the bed at the Mandarin. Great beach as well. Low season so there was some lack of attentiveness on the beach. Squash court and outdoor wooden spa was being repaired. John Bakker was great and educational in his approach on the cuisine. Will be returning

Beautiful location and views, with exceptional facilities and great design. We stayed in late October, in low season but the 24/25C temperatures suited us fine. The gym, spa and medical facilities are outstanding. We enjoyed the food, which was provided at the main and one beachside restaurant at that time of year unlike high season when more restaurants operate. Prices reflect the luxury status of the resort. We found many of the Turkish dishes to be the most enjoyable - many were unfamiliar to us and we enjoyed exploring the menu and wine list. Don’t miss (among others) the seafood bulugama, the pide, and the gozleme station to the left of the outdoor part of the main restaurant. The location is remote and the one hour transfer from Bodrum airport on the twisty road is not a joy, even in a luxuriously trimmed Mercedes Vito taxi. It’s a luxury resort and trips to other locations, such as Ephesus, are quite pricey, so it’s best if you will enjoy the resort’s facilities rather than wanting to take trips. The standard deluxe rooms are very generously sized and there is a serene, high quality vibe to the whole design,

Amazing facility and premises. A number of small private beaches are accessible along a beautiful coastline. Rooms are well designed - luxuriously comfortable. A wonderful getaway especially if you're looking for a proper spa / gym / fitness / healthy food options. Staff (esp at the more junior level) could use a bit more training - they are all friendly enough and I think the right intention is there - but just understanding of how things should be in a 5 star hotel and the level of anticipation/professionalism involved. Language also an issue but you get that everywhere - it's more how they deal w/ things despite that. Overall though would recommend and definitely consider going back

SIX SENSES PAMPERED (ALMOST ALL…)

Not easy to reach by road and not clearly signalled, the Six Senses Kaplankaya Hotel is nested in a pristine bay surrounded by a well-planned and well cared Mediterranean vegetation. The air and the sea water are pristine and the walk in the morning was an experience for all senses.What makes this Hotel stand out in the Turkish and International offer is the service that a well-trained crew provides to guests. Friendly efficient and impeccable with a special mention to Mr. Taner Unlen (GEM) who went all the way from arrival to departure to make us feel welcomed and cared for. A gigantic SPA offers most of the imaginable facilities and tools for body care and relaxation. The beach is well planned and serviced while the two pools are pure architectural jewels. The main restaurant offers a “spoiled for choice” breakfast and a very elegant buffet for dinner. The “Wild Thyme” a la carte restaurant has an excellent selection of Turkish specialities both in fish and meat.
The hearing sense is the only area of complain: the staff was very quick and very efficient to move us from room disturbed by the air conditioning systems, the new room was noisy as well, one floor above the restaurant and the parking of the electric cars serving the complex. the night of Friday a party on the beach kept the guest awake till the first hour of the morning with loud disco music. The fifth sense was left wanting for better: the sixth sense, the feeling of wellbeing, was in any case very happy.

Sehr Toller Aufenthalt

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt im Six Senses Kaplankaya. Die Umgebung ist wunderschön und das Hotel bietet unglaublich viel.

Der Transfer vom Flughafen Bodrum dauert ca. eine Stunde und ist nicht sonderlich angenehm. Die Strasse ist eher rudimentär und in mittelmässigem Zustand.

Einmal angekommen begeistert die wunderschöne Umgebung und die Anlage des Hotels, welche in das felsige Küstenterrain eingebettet ist.

Das Hotel und die beeindruckenden Grünanlagen sind gut gepflegt. Da sich das Hotel über 500 Hektaren erstreckt und am Hang gelegen ist, gibt es einen gratis Buggyservice mit sehr netten und hilfsbereiten Fahrern.

Wir hatten einen Ridge Terrace Garden View Room, eine Art freistehendes Häuschen mit kleiner Terasse, das sich etwas vom Hauptgebäude entfernt in der obersten Häuserreihe befindet. Das Zimmer war nett mit einem grosszügigen und bequemen Bett und einem grossen Badezimmer ohne Badewanne. Für unsere Tochter wurde das Sofabett am Fusse des Elternbetts inkl. Bettgitter vorbereitet, was sehr gut funktioniert hat. Leider bietet das Zimmer etwas wenig Stauraum und Ablagefläche für Kleidung und Koffer.

Der Service zeichnet sich insbesondere durch die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft der Mitarbeitenden aus. Es kam teilweise zu Unstimmigkeiten und ab und an wurde der Tisch über längere Zeit nicht abgeräumt. Grundsätzlich war aber alles super.

Besonders für Kinder bietet das Hotel sehr viel tolles Programm und einen eigenen Spielraum.
