Wi fi was absolutely useless. Went down for breakfast at 0800 and was disappointed to find that they were already out of many breakfast items. This is the third time in the last three months that this has happened at a Holiday Inn Express. Staff response was pretty much tough luck. Will not stay at this establishment again.

We have stayed here previously but the property is now showing its age. The room smelled like mold at check in. The bathroom showed the scars of numerous patch work repairs.

The room appeared clean but smelled very musty. Lighting was not quite adequate. The beds were comfortable and the linens of higher grade than usually encountered. . The TV control box was stupidly mounted behind the TV to the extent the remote was out of line of sight and was frustratingly resistant to input. The remote had been damaged and the battery compartment was taped closed. The volume wasn't quite loud enough even maxed out and though it registered on the TV, remote control inputs didn't seem to matter much. The dining room attendant was very pleasant and the breakfast good. I appreciated the blackout curtains. This was our first stay in a Holiday Inn Express and while it was certainly adequate for our needs, I don't feel, in general, that it represents very good value.

Everything was fine but two things. 1. The refrigerator and microwave had been unplugged so my drinks could not benin a chilked frig and i had to struggle to.pkug it in. 2. The 1st floor side door did not lock which was bad, since it was suppised to be \"card access only.\" Otherwise, breakfast and Stephanie (night staff)was great

Broken toilet seat in bathrooom. Told front desk THREE times and also had to ask for extra towels THREE times before both were finally addressed. Cleaning person was asked to come back @ 12:30 pm when we were out of room but neverr returned - asked front desk when we were going out again at 5:30 pm to send housekeeping up and were told they go home at 4 pm! Asked to have someone come and take dirty towels, empty trash, make beds, vacuum, etc. - front desk said they would - only emptied 1 trash bin and didn't make beds or anything else.

This hotel is super convenient to I 10, road noise was no problem. I had a very quiet night on a comfortable bed. The cinnamon rolls on the breakfast bar are yummy! Also, check in was much faster than other hotels I’ve stayed in recently.

Property was very clean and no smell of smoke at all soft beds nice tv and desk center walked in shower the pressure could be way batter the the shower and toilet and you have no place to put your trash you have to wait or sit it in the hallway so I advise be mindful of what you eat because the trash might have to sit in your room for a day or so not much to look at on tv so have some movies tittles on hand that you can look for

Our experience at this Holiday Inn Express was absolutely unacceptable. We arrived late at night and were assigned room 224. The moment we walked in, the room smelled strongly musty, suggesting mold. The bathroom was in disturbing condition. The toilet seat was up, the water was murky, and there was a piece of paper floating inside. It was clear the room had not been properly cleaned or inspected.

I immediately called the front desk to request a room change. The attendant said they were fully booked and that the only remaining room was reserved for someone else. We gathered our belongings and went downstairs to request a refund, as we were not willing to stay in a room with possible mold and unsanitary conditions. We were told refunds were not offered.

After I firmly stated that I expected a clean room or a refund, the attendant suddenly said a king room was available. Given how late it was and how exhausted my daughters were, I reluctantly accepted.

Although the second room did not smell like mold, it was still extremely dirty. There was a brown stain on the couch, a used face mask next to the sofa, filthy carpets, hair throughout the bathroom, and the shower leaked water across the entire bathroom floor. At that point, I was honestly afraid to look any further.

This was not a matter of being picky. This was basic cleanliness and safety. We stayed only because it was the middle of the night and left as soon as possible. This property needs immediate attention from manage

Shower not usable and breakfast trays empty

The shower only had scalding hot water. The cold water did not function, so it was impossible to take a shower without burning yourself. The cleaning crew does a good job of cleaning however, the hotel management has attempted to paint over mold, stains on the ceiling and walls rather than Address it. we arrived at breakfast at 9 AM. Breakfast ended at 9:30. The trays were all empty and there was nobody there to fill them. When we finally found somebody, they told us it was too late because they were ending breakfast. The bed was comfortable, but if you want a shower and food, you might want to skip this hotel.

I arrived for check-in on 10/4/25 to find out that the room we booked with two queen beds was no longer available. We had booked over two weeks in advance. We were given a handicap room with a king bed and sleeper sofa. We did not want this. Why bother booking a room that you want, when they decide for you in the first place? After a long day, the last thing we wanted to do was to have to make our own bed. Just give me the room I booked! Is it really that hard?? In Live Oak, FL of all places???

Family member and I stayed one night at the hotel. We arrive a little late but the staff were very friendly. The room smell musty and moisture was present. We initially discovered what appeared be mold on the lamp shades. The room seemed to be clean. There was a little damaged spots in the wall over the a/c bit defining. I did have trouble sleeping maybe because of the smell or bed. In the morning, we discovered the ceiling had mold stain like this room had water flooded. I’m glad I was only staying one night because I would have requested a room change. I did report the issue to staff on check out. Just check the rooms.

Everything was great. The hotel was clean, the property was clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful. I only have 4 complaints. First, when we arrived at our room with our bags we discovered the room was not clean, it was filthy from the previous occupant. How hard is it to know which rooms are clean and which ones are not? Second, when we went to check-out at 9pm, because we like to travel at night, we were told we couldn't check-out until morning. Well, my response was \"that's too bad because we are leaving.\" The counter attendant was very quick and helpful to remedy the problem and told us she would check us out in the morning and email us the receipt. That was great. Now, for $500 I would expect not to have these issues. Third, when checking in hotel staff informed me I couldn't get the military discount because I booked through Expedia. On the web site it said I had to check with the hotel upon check-in. Again, I was told I didn't qualify because I booked through Expedia. And 4th, I was informed I could get a better rate by booking directly with the hotel. What a let down by Expedia. I am very disappointed about my booking experience with Expedia. Again, for the amount I paid I expected better.

Maintenance, what a concept!

Stayed at several Holiday Inn Express sites. Common theme was that maintenance was needed. Stuck faucets, loose toilet seats, towel bars crooked, slow drains, shower faucets that couldn't be adjusted from outside, shower doors stuck, hard to close doors, shower heads that had painful needle sprays.

I wasn’t expecting luxury given the location and price, but unfortunately, my stay was worse than expected. The room was spacious, which was a plus, but it wasn’t clean — surfaces felt dusty, and the overall upkeep left a lot to be desired. The bathroom was very dated and could really use a renovation.

On a positive note, the staff was kind and welcoming, which I appreciated. However, the breakfast was quite poor — flavorless and unappetizing, even for a basic spread.

If cleanliness and a decent breakfast matter to you, I’d recommend looking elsewhere, even at a similar price point.

The room was older and not comfortable. The HVAC was so loud that I was awaken many times throughout the night. The carpet was dirty and had burn holes in it around the desk area. The bathroom was fairly clean but the shower had black substance near the sliding door. the glass was hard water stained and not appealing. During the night the police were called to the gas station next door with light and sirens. Nope will not stay there again even though I travel this route often.

Nice property overall clean and well kept however all bathrooms should have a handrail place for elderly or senior people. While I am in my 60s, I can use some assistance while stepping in and out of a tub. They should not just be limited to rooms for handicapped individuals. Otherwise it’s a nice property with clean rooms.
