Previous stays fine - this time not so good

On day one we went to Breakfast and there was Cereal but no Milk. The Hot Water dispenser on the Coffee Machine was not working and was never fixed for the duration of our 9 night visit. On at least two days one of the Juice options on the Juice Machine was out and not replenished. One day the Frozen Burritos were out of stock and not replenished. On several days the Trash Can in the Breakfast area was overflowing and falling out onto the floor with no place to put more garbage and was not emptied. Tables were not wiped off. The breakfast room was VERY hot with no cooling / ventilation running.

This is the second time we have chosen to stay here and both times have been excellent. The complimentary breakfast always has great choices. It has been clean and quiet both times. I love that there are many dining options close by, as well as a walmart. This is my number one choice when visiting Live Oak.

I don't recommend this motel to anyone the bathroom smell of pee the toilet rocked Everytime you eat down the tub was dirty and the water was brown. I had to buy cleaning items and scrub the bathroom before we could use it. The worst was the roaches coming out of the microwave and crawling up the wall.

I was visiting following storm Idalia. The staff made certain, when I was able to contact them by phone, that my reservation would be preserved. I am happy to say it was, even though they had many utility and internet issues to deal with at the time. Everything was up and running for myself and other residents, who appeared to all be utility and tree service employees. Thank you.

I have stayed at the Quality Inn and the Holiday Inn in Live Oak, all right near this hotel. I stay at one of those every year around the 4th of July. Those were much better than Econo Lodge. I stayed At Econo Lodge because they allowed a pet I had to bring with me this year. The staff was nice but the hotel needs some major updates. The handles for the shower were falling off when using them sometimes, the vent fan had a huge hole in it and tons of dust, the toilet paper when we checked in was more than half way gone versus having a fresh, unused roll on there. The hotel was very loud at night because there was a construction crew staying there on our side of the hotel. Probably 15-20 guys. They took up a few parking spots near our room because they'd have tables and coolers out there. One of them must have been drunk because he was banging on our door at midnight thinking it was his room. The noise and the partying from this crew is what led us to leave a day earlier and just eat the last days' rate. You would think someone from the hotel staff would notice this but they did not. I will not stay there again and will look elsewhere for pet friendly places, maybe a vacation rental. I booked this knowing it was just a \"place to sleep\" considering we are at the river through the days, but I would dread having to go back there in the evening.

BE AWARE OF ROACHES!!!!!

Stayed for 1 night on February 25, 2022, with my daughter and paid $108.89. I've never felt so embarrassed and Ripped off. Not staying here EVER again. I rather pay $40 or $50 more and stay elsewhere. Room 109 was disgusting and smelled moldy, old, and like cigarettes. The floor was filthy like if it had not been swept or mopped in months. Dust everywhere including in the ac vent. The shower was moldy and the bathroom had a leaky roof. There were 3 roaches crawling on the floor by the bathroom. The beds and flat pillows were uncomfortable and it felt like we were sleeping right on top of the coils. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Bed was hard shower was not working properly mold in shower grout and stains on the ceiling in the bathroom. the drywall was flaking from the roof and falling on the floor and counter when guess walked up stairs. You could hear traffic all hours of the night.

Stay away from this Hotel very unethical. I accidentally booked the wrong stay and never stayed at the hotel. Although I never stayed and try to cancel the management is avoiding my calls and will not refund me. Buyer Beware very unethical management.

No Air condition and musty smell.

Upon arrival, Room smelled musty and J turned the air conditioning down and left for a few hours. Upon returning the room was still hot. I let the front desk know. She gave me tips to troubleshoot myself because she had no other rooms to give me. She didn't have the authority to give a discount.
Room was adequate at best. Rusty bath tub as well. The mattress was saggy.

The service from the office and service staff was great! They did a wonderful job.They probably could've had more towels and the door sweep under the entrance door was broken and open. The second room they put us in still smelled like cigarette smoke but not as much the first one. Also, a little bit pricey for Econolodge (85 dollars)

Towels were rough, the sheets were dirty. There were little bits of dirt in the sheets. We brushed them off several times before feeling comfortable about sleeping in them. Our feet were literally black on the bottoms from the filthy floors. Major disappointment! Inexpensive but there’s no excuse for uncleanliness, especially during a pandemic. Maybe the health department needs to pay a visit.

I was an Assistant General Manager at a hotel for 13 years and have traveled many times. Having said that, this had to be the dirtiest room I've ever been in. I made the mistake of taking off my shoes and in a matter of minutes my feet were filthy. The mattresses old and lumpy. The bedding, I have never had rougher blankets and thinner sheets. Will sleep in my car next time.

My mom and I are handicapped. We walk but not far and not stairs. I asked for a downstairs room and got it, but when we drove around there were no parking spots in front of the room, no lot. We got in the room and I drive around the building for parking and walk back and the room is dirty. Dust on the counters, t.v. did not work. The clerk i called offered a new room but i had to reload everything in my car and unload. This room was slightly better. I had parking in front. Furniture is dated and night stand cracking. Cracks in the sink and water stains in the bathroom tile and tub. We also smushed a German cockroach. All in all, it was a one night stay and at least we were warm. With tax I paid $90 for one night. I thought that this price would get us something a bit better. I was not seeking luxury and have stayed in many many hotels in my travels. I will not stay here again nor recommend it.

This is by far the best value in a hotel for Live Oak, FL I go down there 5-6 times a year and have stayed at each hotel. The bigger named hotels are flat out ridiculous in price for this area. The Econo Lodge has a much better breakfast than the others due to them bringing in brand name items to choose from. The only gig on the property is that it is older. The fixtures in the bathrooms, the beds themselves....all needing a little renovation. The staff will go out of their way to assist you with any problem that might come up....so all in all...I think this is the best place to stay when going through the area. I stay in hotels about 175-200 nights a year, so take my opinion for what it is worth. A big thumbs up!!!!!!!!

What i like is that the hotel is by a lot of eating places. Plus there is a really good chinese/country restaurant right across the street. Also Wal Mart is across the aas as well. So me being by myself i didn't have to go venture out too far for my needs and necessities.

The bathtub was so dirty I did not take a shower in it. I was not going to go to Walmart and spend money on cleaning products and scouring brushes to try and clean the caked on dirt that was in it. It was disgusting. The blanket on the bed was so rattty that I did not want it touching my skin. Other than that, it was worth the $50 I paid for the room.

The worst room ever!

Put us in an unrequested handicapped room. Shower was a handheld spray with no holder. The room was dirty, needs painting, had several holes in the walls. The room also had an old uncomfortable foul Oder. Worst conditions I have ever put my wife in. We would have left but it was so late and we were so road weary and we were so trying to be positive like us it really so bad. Yes it was and if I had to do it over again I would have left. Sleeping in my car would have been better. Total waste of time and money!!!

I didn't like anything. It was very dirty. Tub was rusty, floors were bad, no rugs, even at the door, Very noisy from the semis outside, all night. The room stank from other people smoking even though it was supposed to be smoke free. It made my clothes smell bad the next day after I left. I complained and the clerk did nothing but take a note for the manager, who never replied. I'll never stay at Econo Lodge again.

The maids don't speak English so you ask the for something as simple as a trash bag they don't understand. This is America how can you have customer service if your help doesn't speak English. If they don't speak English there is a 99% chance that they are illegal.

Breakfast was good. frozen food you could microwave. Bagels with cream cheese, sausage biscuits, breakfast borrirto, juices that tasted great, coffee was weak. Room was clean, near restaurants, near Wal-Mart, only down side was the beds need to be upgraded to something better. Over all i would stay there again for couple of days, but wouldn't stay more. They allow dogs up to 50 lbs which was awsome. yea!
