There was a dirty comb in the floor, the base of the toilet was crusted with urine, and the hair dryer didn’t work and was in pieces. I went to the office at 6 am to complain and show them pictures and it was locked up and all the lights were out. I am disabled and use a wheelchair and have to sit in the tub to bathe. If the toilet was crusted with urine, how can I be assured the tub was cleaned and sanitized? I would appreciate my money back and that was my intent when I went to the office but I was on a schedule and could not wait for them to get up and open.

The room was somewhat clean, but that’s the best I can say. The door from outside to the hallway didn’t lock or even close all the way. No staff and the office closed 11pm-5am. Sketchy part of town. No eateries close by. I would not recommend. Didn’t feel safe but we were exhausted so we stayed.

The staff in the office were the best part of our stay. However, the area around the hotel was run down, abandoned buildings everywhere, and the road to get to the hotel was full of potholes, borken glass everywhere, and the hotel itself looked to be the only building within it's vicinity that was in working condition. Neither my husband nor I slept. I asked for a refund so we could go to a safer location, but I didnt purchase the travel insurance. I would NOT recommend!

Driving up at night it was dark and only like 2 cars in the parking looked desserted he called 10 minute before to confirm our arrival we came in we think he wanted to close we asked about breakfast he said they were out of eggs. Had to try 3 rooms before we found one that didnt smell of smoke. He was going to give us his master key as our door key i said that we should not get his key we slept with all our clothes on too creepy..dirty garbage at entry doors not locked pool empty tarped bugs flying around no safety chain on door. Breakfast had overcooked powdered eggs like dried up peas and coffee cream packets stale. In the morning we stopped in for coffee and see if there was anything for breakfast, they locked out our key already so we had to come back for a new key i asked if you are sure it works she checked and said oh no then gave me another it worked but as i walked out of our room we checked to see

the toilets where not even bolted down the pool has not been operational for over a year the tubs in the room had black mold in them I would like a full refund I had 5 rooms and they charged me for 6 rooms they need to be shut down when we checked out the maid was remaking the beds without changing the sheets

The mornings after arrival we had to change rooms because the toilet stopped working. The toilet in the new room didn't flush properly either so we fixed it ourselves. Had to ask the housekeeper in the room next to us for a lightbulb, these things should be checked beforehand. The pool was heavily damage and in disrepair. The breakfast on the first day only had options of make yourself waffles, with a very nasty waffle iron, cereal. Or pre-packaged muffins. No fresh fruit or healthier options. When we got juice from the dispenser there were floaties in it. Everytime we left the room and came back the key cards did not work and we had to go to the desk. When we asked for towels in the evening we were given floor mats and told there would be no towels until morning. The coating on the tub was flaking off, with pieces in the tub we had to clean out. The drywall around the tub and shower head was also falling apart. After we left and turned keys we had to go back and were told they were going charge us to give us back the chargers that were left in the room. We would have left after the first night but unfortunately there were no other options in the area. The only good thing about the stay is the beds were comfortable and the A/C was cold.

I would not recommend staying anywhere in this town. This hotel, as well as the town, is in terrible condition. It is past decline--it is in full decay. The doors leading into the hallways do not close. The doors into the rooms only close if they are slammed shut. The pool and the surrounding area are trashed. The breakfast consisted of \"make your own waffles\" and tepid coffee. The hallways smell. The rooms are musty and stink. The hotel should be bulldozed. The only good thing we experienced was that it was quiet, because only two other people were staying there.

Outdated, but clean could have made up for that. The bed was comfortable. The tub was stained with what appeared to be grout and filth. There were also whitish drips all over the brown doorframes. The mirror was definitely cleaned with the previous tenant’s dirty towels. The coffee condiments were incomplete and hadn’t been replaced. And if all the above wasn’t enough, the place is in a true ghost town!

The room was nice, the bed was comfy. The desk clerk was very nice. Breakfast was quite good, serving scrambled eggs and very good cinnamon rolls. The outside of the property needs a lot of work, and the pool was drained. The hotel was in an isolated area, hidden from the highway and not in town, which made us uncomfortable. The nearby town of Cairo is basically a ghost town and there are no services like gas stations and restaurants. We had to drive over the Ohio River into Kentucky for dinner. If you need a one night stay with a decent room it will suffice but we have stayed in much better and more convenient Quality Inns for the same price.

The bath tube was filthy and the pool was not open. The pool area was pad locked and the pool had about two foot of dirty green water in it. The outside door coming in to the ground floor where we stayed was proped open all night and durning the day we arrived.

Price through the app was on point and $25 less than going through the hotel..Room was clean zero complaints on cleanliness except for the carpet that you could feel moisture in which also made the hallway and rooms smell..Get rid of the carpet and put down laminate and I’m pretty sure the smell would go away!

There are very few places to stay in Cairo. The Quality Inn is pretty good considering that the town is not in good shape. The room was large, quiet and clean but aging. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. The property is convenient for a visit to Fort Defiance. We were satisfied with this stay.

We were travelling through and chose Quality Inn from a 3rd party.
This is not a good hotel, there are so many updates that are needed. I did not feel safe and was concerned most of the night.
The room was not clean, we found sticky substances on the desk, floor and walls.
The entire facility needs updating NOW. It feels abandoned though there was a nice manager attending, but I did not feel safe nor clean after staying there.
The tub in the bathroom looks as though it will fall apart any minute.
I would tell someone do not stay here.
Management needs to clean this up very soon or close the entire place now.

The stairway to the second floor is on the exterior with black steps, no lighting, and a small landing for luggage. The AC just inside the building from the landing has a loud whining sound and does not cool the hallway. The tub is in rough shape and the room needs a deep clean.

I always like to stay off the beat and path. Generally speaking it’s quite a bit quieter and calmer. This hotel was older obviously. It had one of those old heat lamps in the bathroom from the 1970’s. Brought a blast from the past. It was very clean which is most important to me. It did have usb ports for charging. I have portable ones tha I always take not every place has them. It was quiet and comfortable. Not too much room sanitizer.

The first room I was given was dirty, and looked like it had not been cleaned at all. There was food on the floor. The tub had been painted and the paint was chipping. The lady at the front desk was very nice. I explain to her about how my room was, she walked with me back to the room and looked at it and said she would give me another room. The next room that she gave me was much better than the first one. It was clean. The paint in the tub was still chipping a little, but not as bad as in the other room. I was there for two days and overall It was quite comfortable. You can’t beat it for the price and the convenience. It’s right off the interstate. I would probably stay there again.

There is absolutely no place to eat close to this hotel. I could not get cell service, my iphone died overnight searching. The tub/toilet room was barely able for us to go in and close the door. The shower head and water pressure was great though. The firmness of the bed was GREAT. After a whole day of driving, we wanted to watch some TV and chill...We could only get PBS and 2 other channels. I called the front desk (Indian) he just told me they have issues with cable there!?! And he asked if I changed the channel!?! Should be called \"Mediocre Inn\".

Stay to make you think you are in a horror movie

Not right off the highway like the property description says. The place is very run down and not cared for at all and smells of mold and dead body or body odor when you go to the other building to go to your room. The parking lot is all dark and no lights at all and something could happen to you at anytime. The plumbing in the bathroom was leaking and the tub was cracked and peeling like they tried to paint it instead of sealing it or replacing it and have done it 5 times because you could see the different colors that they have turned the bath/shower combo. The drywall in the ceiling was falling down and peeling

Check in was fine and the desk person was very friendly. Got to the room and noticed the glass in the peephole for the door was missing and one can see directly into the room. Then checked the bathroom, just no. Got up for breakfast at 6am. Walked to lobby and met a guy standing outside since 5:30am because his room key got demagnitized. No breakfast was available. Just left.

The place reeked of cigarette smoke (non-smoking room), the plumbing on the sink leaked everywhere, I fixed it myself, the A/C didn't work, the bathroom wasn't clean. We were afraid to shower. I stayed here because it was local to the Pulaski Co IL court house. Driving here my gps took me the back way. This town is so run down and everything just looks like it is deteriorating in to a vacant town. I was extremely concerned of what the condition of the hotel would be. When I did get there though, I was extremely impressed with how well the hotel looked and how clean it was. And the staff.... the gentleman at the front desk... incredible service. My room was clean. The bed and comforter and pillows were amazing. The tub and shower needed updated and the updated sink had a crack in it, but it was not dirty and I was not concerned to shower or brush my teeth.
At first I was concerned if I would feel safe in this area as well driving through, but once I met the staff and experienced the cleanliness and care they put in to the customer’s experience here, I was no longer concerned.
I highly recommend this hotel for anyone needed a place to crash on a long trip or for anyone like me that has a court appearance that lives in a different state. Lol. Oh yeah... and the price.... best there is!! Very affordable. You get more than you pay for.

We were tired and needed a place to stay with our chocolate lab, so a pet friendly hotel was a must. From the road, this place looks a little daunting. There is an abandoned gas station/restaurant next door that is being reclaimed by nature.

The outside of this place is a little bit rundown. Doesn’t look like it would take much to clean it up. Thankfully we found the lobby, hallways and rooms to be in very good condition.

We got a king-size bed room, the bed was very comfortable. The only “negative” would be the super tiny bathroom/shower, and the shower/tub that appeared to be refurbished but the finish was wearing off. But, everything was very clean and updated.

Plus the breakfast offerings were excellent.

I stayed at this place mainly for convenience and was a little concerned when I checked in @ 6 p.m. and there were only 2 cars in the lot. Staff person was friendly and room was comfortable enough. However, when I pulled back the shower curtain in the morning, I saw that the surface of the tub surround was peeling and there was a cloth from a previous guest on the tub floor. Also, the toilet was very loud. l did a super quick rinse and got out of there.
