I've stayed at this place for well over 20 years. My destination is Koblenz but I prefer to stay here where it is quiet and serene. The staff is excellent. Breakfast is always a treat. I love taking a pot of coffee and sitting on the balcony listening to the nearby Brexbach stream.

This is my goto for stays in Koblenz. Yea, its like a 20 min drive...but it is worth it! The rooms have been upgraded since the last time I was here. They look great. The breakfast buffet is just as I remember it...legendary. The surroundings are serene. Leave your window open and fall asleep to the babbling brook. Never hit the spa yet, but it looks comprehensive. Maybe next time!

Great Hotel - Too many doors slamming all night

This hotel is like something out of a fantasy movie. Spectacularly beautiful, with helpful staff, gorgeous sauna, etc. The problem is that they built the doors so well (heavy) that the underlying structure of the building physically shakes everytime someone slams ANY door in the building. And as the place is always sold out, the doors will slam a lot, as the people who were sharing the hotel with me were doing ALL NIGHT.

Clearly based on the reviews (wonderful) this doesnt affect other people, but I just cant sleep when the whole bed shakes every 5-10 minutes. Ear plugs and white noise machines do nothing for this. I only got to sleep at 4:30am after I requested to get another room, or the last of the guests stopped coming and going.

Either I was too exhausted or not but the other building (lift 3) did not have this problem. Or the room I was in 112 was the particular resonance chamber of the hotel because its right over this room (see picture in the mystery noise room)? Who knows?

It appears most Germans have no problems sleeping through the equivalent of the Jurassic Park T Rex glass of water scene all night, so all Germans disregard this review. The hotel is amazing otherwise. I just cant rate the comfort over 2 in my review when you get less than 3 hours of sleep a night. I booked it out of the way location so as to get a good night sleep so I was particularly frustrated with the situation.

the hotel & the room were ok. the rooms were not ready at 20:00. they supose to be readt at 15:00. the breakfast was ok at least 2 days the food was not fresh. they use the rest of the food for the next day. like fruits, smoke fish.....

Nice hotel, nice location, nice people but awful food. I ordered a steak that was tough and full of gristle and fat. The peppercorn sauce was sweet and not peppery at all. The restaurant made a big deal of their steaks, i wouldnt feed it to my dog.

Relaxing, beautiful hotel with great breakfast

The hotel and location are both beautiful. Lovely walks in the surrounding area. The pool and spa facilities were nice with a great sun terrace and outdoor jacuzzi. Children are allowed in this area though which made it less relaxing than it could have been.
The breakfast buffet was outstanding and included glasses of fizz, a great start to the day!
We had the evening buffet at an extra charge, which was outstanding.
Guests would definitely need a car, as it is far from the train station. There is plenty of parking spaces.

We had a meeting near by with a local company. We loved our stay at this hotel. Great, friendly service, a fabulous restaurant in the hotel. A nice bar area and a castle ruin just a short walk away. A great location for a weekend getaway in eastern Germany. The only negative is that the beds were small singles

The shower heads in the rooms are cheap rubbish and certainly do not reflect the prices you pay for the rooms.
I complained about his multiple times to the hotel owner, but it seems since he does not use the rooms he does not care.
This is certainly a top-class hotel, but we need top- class shower heads.

I stay at Zugbruecke every year - more for the surroundings than anything else. The hotel has great facilities and probably my favorite buffet of all the hotels i've stayed at. The staff is top notch and will go out of their way to help if asked.

Excellent location in a small town in the middle of the woods (but of course, far away from everything). The restaurant is excellent and top notch, but there is also a regular bar where you can eat excellent pizza and play some bowling. The spa area is great!

Relaxing hotel close to Koblenz

We stayed here for a visit to Koblenz and the Rhine and its position 10 km outside the city in the countryside was perfect. The room was medium size and had everything you could need provided. We asked for extra pillows and these were provided immediately. The restaurant food was excellent.

Beautiful surroundings...quality breakfast.

This is one of my favorite hotels when traveling to Koblenz. It's a bit of a drive to the city center, but I prefer this hotel to the other options closer to the city. The surroundings and facilities are great. The included breakfast is top notch, the staff is always pleasant and willing to help. The rooms are getting a bit dated, but are still acceptable when compared to others in the area.

My comment relates to the hotel Zugbruecke as well as to Hotels.com. I booked the hotel and prepaid for it, however at check-out , although I showed the reservation in which it was stated explicitly that the booking is guaranteed and paid for with free breakfast, they claimed that they did not get this information and charged me for the hotel and the breakfasts. I paid fully the fare and stated that will ask compensation. I tried to call the hotel according to the number supplied on the receipt - to no avail. Can anyone answer and resolve the impasse? At this moment I was charged TWICE.

Large hotel away from it all.

A large hotel in beautiful surroundings which can be explored on foot using the footpaths nearby. We ate a la carte in the restaurant twice and received excellent food and service. A buffet dinner is also available. Breakfast was. fantastic with lots of choice. The room was a reasonable size, had a bath with shower and, a balcony overlooking the stream which was lovely. The only downside was there was no air-conditioning. It was very hot during our stay and opening the windows meant we were kept awake by noise from the bar. Had the weather been cooler this wouldn't have been a problem.

This is a lovely hotel set in a very peaceful valley surrounded by beautiful forrest. We stayed in a basic room that was more than adequate. Breakfast was the best we've ever had at any hotel and the wellness area and pool were superb. Would highly recommend.

awesome deal

this was a superb hotel. The dinner buffet was amazing as well as the free breakfast buffet in the morning. Not only were there robes and sauna towels waiting on our bed for our arrival but the hotel also has sauna, indoor pool, whirlpool, oxyegen and relaxition room, and a full service massage and spa area. We might just come back there just to stay in the hotel.

Perfect location for a quiet getaway. The hotel location was located in a small village but close enough to Deutsches Eck which is worth checking out. The staff at the hotel spoke english and were very helpful as to what was around. There was a castle and several beautiful hiking trails within a walking distance of the hotel. Hotel room was very clean and modern, the only downside was the lack of queen bedrooms. Double beds (pushed together) kept moving apart which made it very interesting. Overall, the hotel is great, but the atmosphere of the town and the quietness around makes the whole thing even better.

Not much to see or do. Hotel was clean but a bit sparse and dated. Staff were very nice. Rooms were adequate size. I didn't try the healthspa but it looked nice. The place was fine but nothing exceptional. It was an easy base to explore the region from - the roads in and out were beautiful.

Lovely setting, superb hotel

This hotel is situated in the most beautiful location, the drive to get there is so impressive and when you finally arrive the hotel is much the same. The staff were friendly on arrival and confirmed all of our requests. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed the extra touches like the bathrobes. We had room service for dinner and it was very quick plus the food was tasty. Breakfast the next day was excellent and had a great variety of choices. We used the pool/spa while we were there and it was clean and very kid friendly. The pool was indoors and the spa outdoors. There was a day spa and a fitness centre which we didn't use, but mainly because it didn't open until 9.30am. Overall a great hotel to stay at and I would recommend it anyone who enjoys quality.

We had a pleasant 3 day stay at this hotel and definitely recommend it as long as you do not want to be near a city center as it is about 15 minutes away from Koblenz. The staff was extremely helpful and the ammenites (spa, restaurants, ping pong, bowling) were all fantastic.

Overnight Stay near Koblenz

I needed a hotel within an hour of the Nurburgring, and this one did just fine. Nestled in some hills, it was really more of a health resort type of hotel. The room was adequate, and the buffet breakfast was quite good (at no extra charge). The hotel is surrounded by lots of other eating establishments, all designed to be within walking distance (though I did not explore them or the surrounding area).

Wir hatten ein Balance Zimmer gebucht. Leider hat uns schon der Bereich, als wir aus dem Aufzug ausfestiegen sind nixht gefallen. Befanden uns in einem alten Teil des Hotels. Das Zimmer war auch sehr abgewohnt und lieblos. Ausserdem sehr klein, denn es musste noch ein Babybett rein. Wir haben darauf hin ein upgrade gebucht für das Westerwald Zimmer. Dieses war neuer und wohnlicher. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt leider nicht. Frühstück war gut und ausreichend. Bedienung am 1. Morgen sehr freundlich und aufmerksam am 2. Morgen allerdings eine andere Bedienung, die später nicht mehr an den tisch kam. Wellness Bereich ist schön und sauber. Pizza im Brexx ist überragend.

Tolles Hotel, ruhige Lage, viel Platz zum Parken, Zimmer sind schön, leider haben wir nicht das bestellte Zimmer bekommen, da unser Aufenthalt versehentlich storniert wurde, aber das kann mal in der Alltagshektik vorkommen, uns wurde sofort ein Zimmer ähnlicher Kategorie angeboten und das war auch sehr schön. Pool ist klein und sehr stark besucht, zudem häufig belegt (Wassergymnastik) durch Gruppen von externen Gästen. Zimmer einfach (JHB-Style), ohne Möglichkeit zum Trocknen von Sport-Kleidung SPA-Tüchern (man kann über die Rezeption einen Trockenraum benutzen). Für Tagungen und Sportseminare (Tischtennis) wohl geeignet, aus unserer Sicht aber nicht für privaten Wellness-Urlaub. Frühstück bestenfalls mittelmäßig.Die 4 Sterne mit \"S\" kann ich nicht nachvollziehen.
