A fantastic base for big groups. We stayed in a 4 bedroom lodge which was perfect for our family get together. Loved that there was 2 living rooms- somewhere separate for kids is brilliant. The staff were so warm and kind. If you’re going off season, the bar has limited opening times but there are supermarkets in Dungarvan to stock up for a kitchen disco.

We had a fantastic family holiday in the Gold Coast Resort. The apartment was modern and clean with everything we could have needed. The staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. The children already want to book for next year.

Lovely hotel.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Small compact gym. Easy parking. It was a great base for our family trip. Decor could be a little more modern in the rooms. Communal areas felt cosy.

great view of the sea. nice pool. welcoming warm fire in the Foyer. nice and quiet. Comfortable rooms.Friendly staff.
Some small details need looking after: Towel ring on the wall in bathroom falling off; no soap in dispenser in changing rooms in Leisure Centre; A shower not working correctly:; stains on the drop down ceiling. Also maybe extend Breakfast time on weekends.Small details

Xmas break in Waterford

Weekend break just after Xmas 2018. Lovely spot 5 min drive to Dungarvan town, room was nice maybe a little bit dated but clean and had all you need. Hotel was relaxed in general, bar was ok, not a great atmos but food from it was good. Had a guy with guitar on Saturday and DJ playing usual stuff on Sun. Kids allowed in bar til late but were well behaved. Definitely good place for families and staff were lovely. Would recommend.

The room was warm and comfortable. Everyone was very helpful when asked for any requests (housekeeping and printing boarding tickets). The breakfast was lovely, especially the warm scones!!

Very freindly staff, helped us with electrical comnection for US to Irish. Breakfast was traditional Irish and was excellent. Due to off season was given an upgrade from hotel room to an apartment.

Lovely location with great views over the bay, sunset was stunning.
Staff are very helpful and friendly, food is ok.
This hotel is now some 35 years old and has been well used now in real need if some TLC
Rooms are tired as are the bar and restaurant
Changing room for the leisure complex is a bit dire to say the least. Lots of noise from other guests as the walls are on the thin side. Nd bathrooms are now somewhat primitive.
I could go on but on the positive side, helpful and friendly staff smooth the way, parking is very convenient and the views from front facing rooms is a delight.
I see they have villas/ lodges but cant comment as I only stay one night in the main building.
Would I stay again, sorry to say,possibly not.

Beautiful location. Easy check in with friendly welcoming staff. Very spacious clean room, (the sea view was amazing) though somewhat dated. Adjoining bar served tasty snacks, and bar staff were great! Lovely swimming pool and spa area. Would definitely stay again!

Great location, good hotel facilities

Great bayside location near Dungarvan town. A great springboard location to enjoy many of County Waterford's Tourist gems such as beaches and the new Greenway. Hotel gives a good service but can be a disappointing first impression as it is quite dated and set in a 1980's era. In need of bringing into the 21st century - otherwise it was a good experience !

Views from hotel very beautiful. But the hotel reception and corridors were very cold. We had toasted sandwich in the bar which was good. The bed room was very warm, clean but dated. The tv remote did not work the volume. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Nice location overlooking estuary but you need car to get into the town of Dungarvan.

Hotel clearly aim at servicing the needs of the co-located leasure centre and golf course. Needs a facelift, not dirty but tired. Great for groups of golfers.

Small play park for the children would have been good if we had children.

If we had young children, and a limited budget, with the weather as good on our one evening/overnight stay, it would be quite adequate. A real 1950/1960's family seaside hotel athmosphere!

I booked a room with a sea view but our room overlooked the car park. There was no tv remote in our room. We had a long wait for our breakfast and they had run out of orange juice before we arrived at 9.30am. The bar was very depressing. Overall the hotel is in bad need of a revamp.

The Gold Coast simply needs to update in the fashion in which it was conceived. It seems a matter of which comes first, the chicken or the egg? In this case it is to update first or experience a surge of guests and cash flow first.

The service was better than the physical condition of the hotel.

Dårlig oplevelse

Der var bryllup på hotellet. Vi blev ikke informeret om generne, da vi ankom. Fx. særdeles høj musik og larm fra meget støjende gæster til efter kl. 03 om natten. Man havde ikke alle retter på menukortet.(Vi måtte ombestille 3 gange). Meget nedslidt. For dyrt i forhold til standarden.
