I was lucky enough to have the room in the tower (I think it’s described as the Premium Double) which was excellent. It had a private terrace with impressive views of Cádiz, and was perfectly quiet and extremely comfortable. (Just a note for those with mobility issues: the lift will take you as far as the third floor, but there’s a further flight of stairs to reach room 41 - so a different room might suit some people better)). I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Casa Cánovas again if I ever return to Cádiz.

The stay was wonderful. The room was clean and supplied with water. The hotel had a roof top veranda which was great to hang out in the morning and evening. It was close to restaurants and sites. Very nice hotel, would definitely recommend it.

Unfortunately I was sick during much of my stay in Cadiz but the hotel staff and restaurant ensured I had everything I needed to recover, which was especially appreciated as I was travelling alone. Beautiful boutque hotel in Cadiz center
This is a perfect boutique hotel. Now my favorite for sure. Pristine clean, the rooms are elegantly arranged and super comfortable. Awesome location central to everything. Restaurant for breakfast served until noon (great for us who like relaxing in the morning). We loved it so much we decided tp stay an extra day and moved to their funky premium suite with a gorgeous terrace. Cant wait to return to Cadiz and visit again.

We never write reviews but couldn’t pass up the opportunity to compliment Casa Canovas. From the moment we arrived Fernando was so helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is beautifully renovated with tasteful decor, incredibly clean and comfortable. Rooms are spacious and the beds were heavenly. The property is located very centrally and has an amazing restaurant that we’d highly recommend.

Stayed at Hotel Canovas for three nights on a chill-out trip with a childhood friend. It was a beautiful room in a lovely little street in Cadiz. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the staff were lovely. We left considerably more relaxed than we came in, and enjoyed wandering the streets around the hotel.

Had the feeling of luxury, recently renovated, stunning room. The staff were forst class and helpful. We ate at the restraunt at the hotel and it was beautiful food. I suggest parking in a car park first and taking lugagge to hotel. You can park temperorally at the hotel whilst you check in but the streets are very narrow and Google maps was getting confused. It didnt effect our stay though.

A beautiful hotel in a historic building. Our room was lovely in every regard — comfy bed, lots of room around it, huge shower, well-equipped bathroom with a bidet. Beautifully appointed: modern but with a lot of the historic character maintained. The staff were all more-than-friendly, more-than-kind, and helped us with everything from our nonexistent Spanish to our need for a cab to a lesson on how the train system worked. I cannot say enough nice things about this hotel. I would stay there any time; I would live there if I could.

This is a absolutely beautiful property. The owner Carlos and his wife have paid attention to every detail from the most comfortable bed I have slept in a hotel in years. The lobby is stunning and each room uniquely decorated. Their staff is is friendly and go above and beyond in customer service. If I could give a 10 star review I would. CÁDIZ is a wonderful place to visit.
This hotel is in the old town area. This means you cannot park near this hotel. It’s about a 5 minute walk from the car park.

Our room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was amazing, very large walk in shower, separate toilet and bidet area and a super large sink. The toiletries provided were of a 5 star quality and everything was luxurious.
The only downside was the towels were a bit meagre and so could have done with 2 not 1, as provided. Also we were next to the lift so there was a large party of noisy ladies on our second morning who were quite loud.
We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Casa Cánovas is fairly new and beautiful. The hotel is beautifully and tastefully decorated. The downside is the restaurant is not open on Sundays and Mondays, and so we were not able to eat breakfast in the hotel which is a real minus. Also, for the price of the hotel, breakfast should included in the price. CC Boutique was the only hotel that did not offer an included breakfast during our whole 2-week trip throughout Andalucia. Water, slippers, or shower cap were not available in the room which is disappointing for a 4-star. Finally, the fella who checked us in was not friendly nor helpful.
