Convenient to station and local dining and shopping. An excellent base for my needs in the Kashiwa and Matsudo areas, with occasional trips to Tokyo.
It is clean and well maintained, but fairly basic w.r.t. amenities, but that was fine with me.
I have stayed here previously and anticipated doing so again.

Fresa is an excellent hotel, particularly for the value.

It's just 2-3 blocks from the east entrance of Kashiwa station. Head down the escalator and it is to the left in the street just past Yoshinora noodle shop.

The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean, and the breakfast service is good.

I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotels is on a bit of an alley, but that alley is connected to the main road that runs south from the station. The staff was fine. A few were lovely, but most were just \"fine.\" The room itself was nearly identical, in terms of layout, to a room at an APA hotel I'd stayed at recently. Once I'd figured out the air conditioner, the room was comfortable. The room actually had a cityscape view, which I wasn't expecting, so that was nice. The bed was comfortable. I was able to plug my Switch into the TV, although I mostly just used it for YouTube. I apparently got free breakfast each morning, which I used twice; it wasn't amazing, but it was filling and it was free. The rice and curry was the standout dish, I'd say. The coin laundry cost me 700 yen (I think? possibly 600 yen) for a wash and two runs of the dryer, to get my clothes good and dry. There was an outlet in the bathroom, which was something the highly-similar APA hotel didn't have. There was an Anytime Fitness a couple minute's walk down the alley (which I joined while I was in the US before this trip). There was loads of restaurants, convenience stores, vending machines and shopping in the area, if you're into that sort of thing (shopping, that is; not my scene, personally). Things I saw but didn't try: a teriyaki stall which is highly rated on Google Maps; a horse meat restaurant with a sign out front that says \"No horse meat, no life,\" which I could swear I've seen a picture of before.

Showed up to check in and was told the only room available was a smoking room but we are not a smokers. We had nowhere else to go so we tried to make it work but the smell was TERRIBLE. The window is sealed shut, no way to open it. We woke up at 5am with headaches and nausea, absolute worst night of the trip. Also the bed was hard, the box spring was filthy, the toilet was not clean, no toiletries provided other than soap. I would not recommend staying here unless you are guaranteed a room that is non smoking, I can’t comment on anything positive.

The Sotetsu Fresa Inn has been my go-to choice for hotels in the Kashiwa area since 2012 or so. It's very convenient to be. It's close to the grocery store, train station and shopping. I enjoy staying there.

Whenever I come to Kashiwa, The Sotetsu Fresa Inn is where I always choose to stay. It is conveniently located within walking distance of the train line, it is close to lots of shopping and food choices. But most importantly, they truly try to cater to your needs with the amenities they provide. So, I enjoy my time there and will be visiting them again very soon.

The rooms area fair size for Tokyo business hotels, while the hotel itself is fairly modern with multiple electric glass doors in the lobby. Check-in is simple and automated and the breakfast is great with many choices in a buffet-style separate room with a TV. A dehumidifier was provided in the room, while outside the hotel are a number of Izakaya. The main shopping district of Kashiwa is just across the street, while the train station is a short distance down the main strip. There are ample paid parking lots around the block if you are picking up or returning an omoshiro rental car from the next town over.

GREAT place!

The staff was very friendly and promptly helped me when I left my key in the room. I felt good about the security in that they accompanied me up to the room! The free amenities were terrific. In addition to the common ones like a toothbrush and a razor, they had lavender bath salts and tea packets which made my stay even more pleasant. Also, they could lend you a memory foam pillow (which was heaven) and also a curling iron.

Entrance located in Street just behind the main street which is were your sat nav will take you.
Hotel very clean with friendly staff.
Beds are firm, but that's individual preference, I'd prefer something a bit softer.
No on site parking, but the hotel has a discount arrangement with an automatic lift parking station 100m away, so cheeper to park there and pay for 24 hours parking at reception.
Limited buffet breakfasts available and were all sold out upon my visit. So if you want breakfast, it's best to book in advance.

The rooms are not huge buy U.S. standards, but they are nice and have everything you need - free wifi, tons of amenities, etc. All of the staff are extremely polite and helpful. We picked this hotel because it is a couple minute walk to the train station and a couple minute walk to a friends club. We enjoyed our stay!

A little paradise in the city

The hotel is right down the street fr the train station. You can go right from Narita or Haneda to your hotel. The reception has a lot of freebees for hotel guest. The elevator is locked behind a glass door so if you are not a guest you cannot go upstairs. The room is very clean. the room is On the small side because the furniture in the room is large. The Queen size bed look to me like it was a king. there is a large desk with a chair and a table, and ottomon underneath. also under the desk was a refrigerator. The bath I like because you step down into it and it has an bidet toilet and a bath.There are also bath supplies I really liked that. It was also very quiet. The view I had was of other buildings but not a bad view. The hotel is near alot of stores and restaurants. If you are visiting Kashiwa this is a must stay.

Pleasant Surprise in Kashiwa

We were so pleased with the location, friendliness of staff, hotel room and amenities, and over-all comfort during our 5-day trip to Japan. While it may be far from downtown Tokyo, it's just 5 minutes away from the Kashiwa station, and there are many restaurants nearby, not to mention a Family mart just a few steps away.
The hotel staff were friendly and very accommodating, and make you feel very welcome as soon as you come in the door.
The free coffee and tea in the lobby when you check-in in the afternoon is very much appreciated, as well as the sumptuous Japanese breakfast they have.
The room is also very clean and linens are changed every day.
I will definitely use this hotel or others in the chain the next time I come back to Japan.

Location : superb. Only 3 mins walk to Kashiwa station. Plenty restaurant nearby.
Staff: some staff speak english while some only speak japanese. But, they are very friendly and helpful. They can assist when u need them.
Room: Plenty of amenities, drying machine, hair dryer, sleeping robes. Clean. Room size is acceptable compare to others in Japan.
Breakfast: buffet, strictly japanese style. The fish was delicious.
They can help you tp deliver luggage to another location.

The only thing here I dislike was: Wifi speed. Slow and often disconnect.

Overall, I enjoyed my stays in this hotel.

we stayed there for 4 nights. hotel staff were friendly, helpful with good local knowledge. the first night we found there was a bit dusty in wardrobe however they cleaned it up next day after we raised our concern.
breakfast is not recommended as it was really basic.

Excellent location, many shops & restaurants close by. Kashiwa train station is a 5 minute walk from the hotel, making travel to Tokyo city etc very easy. Staff are helpful & go the extra mile. It is the best location right near Mirror 2nd bar, the Hub, and all the shops, the mall, and station. Room is so tiny but the bed is nice. Get the soft pillows they are the best. The shower has so much pressure. Needs free movies. Doesnt have much space if you stay over a few days for all your clothes. Has beer and drinks in the vending machine. Staff is nice.

Exactly What I Needed

Stayed for about two weeks. Found the hotel to be perfectly functional. Rooms were clean. They were small, in the way you'd expect from Japan, but quite an adequate size for my needs. Felt more efficient than strictly small. Non-smoking floor had no smoke smell, smoking floors that I went by had minimal smell in the hallways. Hotel breakfast was quite decent and solid, available at reasonable times. Staff were, of course, very polite. Location was excellent, just a few minutes' walk from Kashiwa Station, which means easy access to the transit network. A number of restaurants nearby, including several quite decent ones that were open late. Overall very happy with my stay there.

Only 5 min walk from a major railway station, this place is very convenient to use. The hotel rooms are small as expected, but the place is almost brand-new, very clean, and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast is limited in choices but as long as you don't stay there for several days, it is perfectly OK. The soba restaurant just across the street is outstanding; appears to be new.

Terrible front desk staffs

I was bringing my luggage to a friends car first as he was waiting as there was no parking in front of hotel, the front desk staff shouted at me hey hey where are you going, as if I was a criminal running away from my hotel bills unpaid, first it was a prepaid bookings, secondly I was only doing it as there was no parking and I need my luggage inside the car so he can go find a parking after I put my luggage first, the night before I went inside the cafe to sit down with my laptop and do my work, they said it is closed and not allowed to sit. I told them should I do standing and work with my emails? They said go to your room instead. The rooms are ok, but the staffs are terrible. So up to you to decide. I would rather recommend The Crest hotel if you want to stay in Kashiwa Chiba, I usually stay there but they were full at the time I made a booking. No wonder they are full. Staffs are courteous. And 4 star hotel and small difference in price.

Hotel that offers great service and location

The hotel is located in the east of Tokyo and equiped with very new furnishings. Hotel staffs are very helpful and courteous. Within a 5 minute walking distance to Kashiwa train station. Surrounding the hotel is Takashimaya Shopping Center, Sogo Shopping center and Sky Plaza. Overall a very pleasant stay and highly recommended.

Very happy with hotel. Average size always clean and tidy and close to rail. on the JR line so convenient to travel around will stay here again as it is reasonable and not smoky like some hotels. Also can't here the railway from here as tucked away behind other buildings don't expect mountain views just the general surrounds.

喫煙の部屋を希望したのですが、喫煙者でもタバコ臭く感じるほどのニオイがしました。
空気清浄機が備え付けてあるのですぐに設定MAXにしましたが若干薄くなった程度でした。
しかし、朝食会場のスタッフの方の対応で全てマイナスが消えました。とてもきめ細やかなサービスを提供していただき、気持ちの良い朝を迎えられました。ありがとうございました。
