Told to move car to back lot as it was in an electric one even though there are four spaces. No spot available at back so parked beside building. Next morning i see a non electric car parked in the space I was in. Told receptionist this at check out - she offered to reimburse €15 cost but did not know how to refund me. She spoke with her colleague who decided not to offer a refund as I had parked inside. I stated that there was no reason for me to move from my initial parking space and as such was being asked to pay for a parking space I had not got. He didn’t care. Avoid the hotel - hidden charges to park and use facilities - there was no mention of discount for hotels.com gold members either.

10 min walk to Old Town and all restaurants. 20 min to Castle. We did not get a room with the river view but the room was updated and very clean. Breakfast option is well worth the money. Will definitely return when back in Meissen.

Very nice hotel!

Very comfortable and clean hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We used this more remote hotel as a central point between Dresden and Leipzig. So nice to stay outside of the busyness of the city. Highly recommend this hotel.

Das Hotel hat eine sehr schoene Lage, direkt am Elberadweg. Der Garten mit Blick auf die Albrechtsburg ist schoen angelegt, Wifi ist im ganzen Gelaende excellent. Hotel und Zimmer sehr sauber. Preislich, vergleichbar mit allen anderen Hotels in der Gegend.

Cons:
Das Preis-Leistungsverhaeltnis stimmt sehr schnell NICHT mehr, wenn man Fruestueck und Parkgebuehren dazu bucht. Vor allem das Fruehstueck ist sehr ueberteuert, und waehrend es auf Hotels.com mit 26Euro fuer 2 Personen gelistet ist (allerdings nicht buchbar online), hat uns das Hotel 22 Euro Pro Person und Fruehstueck angerechnet. Das Fruehstueck ist definitiv nicht 22 Euro wert. Der Parkplatz (14 Euro/Nacht) oder Tiefgarage (25 Euro/Nacht) sind komplett unangemessen. Die Badezimmer beduerfen einer Renovierung, und vor allem die Duschvorrichtung koennte eine Update gebrauchen.

Leider sind durch die sehr teuren Zusatzkosten die Preis-Leistungs Verhaeltnisse nicht mehr empfehlenswert und haben bei uns das anfangs positive Gesamtbild verschoben, so das wir uns nicht sicher sind nochmals dieses Hotel zu buchen.

Overpriced hotel

Booked a room with one double bed but what i received was 2 beds moved close to eachother. Hotel restaurant only has few dinner choices and was closed every Sunday. Tablet to order room service or call reception also broken, had to go to reception to order room service when restaurant was full and only choice was to eat in the room. Overall for the price i paid per night not worth it.

First the positives: nice room, good pillows and comfortable bed, location dubious and a bit run down, view from the window was on a back street. Uncovered parking was in a rather derelict place but close to the hotel. They wanted €10 per day for that but offered no security on the premises except a bar gate for the cars entering or leaving which was a bit of a joke as I had to ring the hotel to get them to open the bar gate as no one answered the call system. Negatives: One big one, on the second day the room was not made up, and, therefore there were no clean towels etc. The receptionist at the time blamed it on Covid-19. However, my neighbour had her room made up. When I complained in the morning, the new receptionist seemed rather taken aback and waived the parking fee - it was a farce really - so overall pretty disappointing.

Great place!
Quiet, comfortable, yet a few minutes walk away from the old town.
Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

The views on the Elbe river are wonderful, although not all the room options have a view on the river.

Nice hotel - very friendly staff

Our stay at the Dorint Hotel was great. The staff was super friendly at check-in and breakfast. They even gave us a teddy bear for my little daughter. We also had a baby bed in the room, which was a really nice one rather than one of the fold away travel ones - much more comfortable for my daughter.
The view from the hotel is also amazing.

Fresh, clean and pleasant!

A very clean and freshly appointed hotel with friendly staff and a good breakfast selection come the morning. The hotel is not in the "old" town, although the town center is only a short walk across the bridge, and the view of the Elbe more than compensates. One small fly in the ointment is that they charge a ( small ) fee to use the health club facilities, which seemed to me a little penny pinching and unnecessary. Overall though, a very pleasant place to stay and I certainly recommend it.

I really like this hotel and have stayed 4 times now. It's been recently renovated, but I still had problems with the air conditioning not working (seems like little things like that happen every time.) But the restaurant is great (outstanding breakfast, fancy dinners at very reasonable prices). The view of the Albrechtsburg castel across the river is simply terrific. Parking and internet were free. Great place to stay for a vacation.

Beautiful but some rooms are in a separate buildin

The hotel is really beautiful and in a great location overlooking the castle. The restaurant is impressive. However, the pictures just show one part of the hotel, as many rooms are actually located in a separate building on the back, with no views. I would still recommend it, although you should know what to expect.

The hotel itself is in a good location in Meissen, within walking distances of the Christmas markets and some sites. It is also in a good location to visit both Dresden and Leipzig. Service was friendly and the hotel was good. I recommend it for anyone whether a business trip or get away like mine.

Can't wait until construction is done

I like this hotel a lot and have stayed there several times. The view of the Albrechtsburg across the Elbe River is simply stunning. Breakfast and dinner in the dining room are wonderful. The rooms are quite nice and reasonably roomy. But the ongoing construction certainly takes away from the experience. It should be done in late 2014 and then this will be a great hotel.

The staff was not very friendly. The free Wi-Fi the hotel advertised doesn't work most of the time. Apparently they expect the guest to upgrade to a more expensive room to have stable Wi-Fi service. The hair dryer only work for about 1 minute and cut out.

Beautiful property, convenient to Dresden

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights during a recent trip through Germany and Czech Republic. We wanted to visit Dresden, but preferred staying in a smaller town. The Welcome Parkhotel is located on the banks of the Elbe River in Meissen, which is about 30 min from Dresden by car. Meissen is a beautiful, classically German town with a castle on a hilltop and cobblestone streets lined with historic buildings. Welcome Parkhotel offers on-site parking and has a decent restaurant, especially the buffet-style breakfast with delicious German delicacies. Dinner choices included authentic regional food and local wines; our only quibble was that service was slow (but maybe that's just the local culture). The room was very comfortably appointed. One note - to get from reception to many of the rooms, you must take an elevator down to the lowest level, cross over to a different building through a passageway under construction, and then up another elevator, which might be an issue for guests with mobility limitations. Otherwise, a very pleasant experience!

Parking ist wie in vielen Stadthotels einfach nicht Gastfreundlich: Wurde beim Empfang nicht gut kommuniziert- „ Sie müssen da drehen und dann rausfahren und schräg da drüben können Sie parken“. Sehr unmotiviert die junge Dame am Empfang. Besser wäre ein freundliches - herzlich willkommen. Parken geht da und da und da, hier ist ein Plan und im abgesperrten Bereich kommen Sie mit unserer Plastik Karte rein= die Schranke öffnet sich. Musste alles selber suchen und ausprobieren.

Ich buchte diesen Aufenthalt als kleines Überraschungs-Get-Away für mich und meinen Partner zum Jahrestag. Wir waren sehr überrascht, als wir das behindertengerechte Zimmer betraten. Da wir weder behindert noch alt sind war diese Unterkunft mehr als Fehl am Platz für die Feier unserer Liebe. Zur Krönung war es auch noch ein Zimmer mit Verbindungstür. Diese Verbindungstür hat einen so großen Spalt, dass wir jedes kleinste Detail unserer Nachbarn ab Morgens um 5 hörten inklusive Durchfall und Übergeben.
Da sich in mir etwas gewaltig sträubt mich in dieser Nasszelle (Fotos) frisch zu machen, musste ich ungeduscht abreisen.
Dafür, dass ich eine der höchsten, wenn nicht sogar DIE höchste Zimmerkategorie buchte um mich an meinem Jahrestag im Hotel wohler zu fühlen als zu Hause, reise ich übermüdet, ungepflegt und voller Enttäuschung wieder ab.
Hätte ich vorher gewusst, dass mir ein Behinderten-Zimmer zugewiesen wird, wäre ich nicht angereist, sondern zu Hause geblieben.
Auch dass das Frühstücksrestaurant nicht in Betrieb war, sondern das Frühstück im Konferenzsaal stattfindet hätte ich gerne vorher gewusst. Auch das wäre für mich ein Grund gewesen nicht anzureisen.
Mein Jahrestag war ein Alptraum und ich bin froh abzureisen.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön gelegen, der Service im Hotel ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich.

Die Innenstadt von Meißen ist zu Fuß erreichbar und der Weg zur Albrechtsburg war wunderschön.

Aktuell finden im Hotel Baumaßnahmen statt und auch der Spa Bereich kann nicht genutzt werden. Leider hatten wir die Info nicht vorab bei der Buchung und deshalb können wir keine Gesamtbewertung abgeben.

Das Hotel ist schön und hat eine super Lage. In ca. 10 Minuten ist man in der Altstadt und weiteren 5 auf der Burg. Wir wurden herzlich beim Check-In begrüßt. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich. Die Comfort-Suite hat uns gefallen. Beim Frühstück haben wir den Blick auf die Albrechtsburg genossen. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt.

This was our second time in the hotel, first time as a family with our little one. We travelled to Meißen because of the Christmas market.
Hotel building is beautiful, also the restaurant with a view, staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is dog friendly.
Location is great, with a beautiful view. This time we did not try the spa, sauna.
Our room was nothing special, breakfast was a disappointment, from a four star hotel I would expect more.

Struttura alberghiera di 4 stelle superior, meritate. Camere spaziose e pulite. Ottima vista sul Castello antico di Meissen. Staff della reception gentili e professionali. Nel complesso una ottima struttura, unica nota negativa il riscaldamento in camera di notte non funziona, e se avete freddo dovete chiamare la receptionist, vi porteranno una stufa elettrica aggiuntiva. Colazione internazionale, buona ma non proprio da 4 stelle superior, insufficienti i prodotti senza glutine e senza lattosio.

Sehr schönes Hotel!!!! Tolles Frühstück. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Es kommt dazu dass ich vor einige Wochen eine Reservierung kurzfristig stornieren musste wegen Autoschaden, dies war kurzfristig und unproblematisch möglich ! Sehr professionell, ich werde wieder kommen ! Das Hotel nimm ich zu meine Favoriten!!!

Im grossen u.ganzen es geht besser, trotzdem schön

Personal freundlich und nett. Zimmer sauber und freundlich aber beim Check in sehr kalt. Nicht ausgewiesene Extra Kosten für Wellness (habe ich in noch keinem anderen Hotel bis jetzt erlebt). Tiefgaragen Platz sehr Teuer und dann nicht einmal Ladestation für Elektroautos vorhanden (musste zum Laden 5min. Fahren und da ab 30min noch einmal Parkgebühren zahlen).Essen und Frühstück wahren sehr gut. Allerdings die 20% VIP Vergünstigung von Hotels.com wurden uns nicht abgezogen. Hatten es leider auch vergessen zu erwähnen. Sollte bei Vorauszahlung der Buchung aber von selber geschehen(Kundenservice).

Das beste am Zimmer war die Aussicht auf Elbe und Albrechtsburg. Sonst war die Einrichtung des Superiorzimmers nicht superior im Vergleich zu einem normalen Zimmer.

Sehr schönes Hotel in Meißen mit schöner Einrichtung. Das kulinarische Angebot ist klasse und die Aussicht beim Frühstück einmalig. Die Gegend um das Dorint ist etwas "merkwürdig".

Sehr schönes Hotel.

Wir wir konnten direkt bei Ankunft gegen 14:00 Uhr die Zimmer beziehen. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich und man hat uns gleich alle wichtigen Informationen gegeben. Die Zimmer waren geräumig, sehr sauber, sehr schön eingerichtet und sehr ruhig. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück war sehr groß und die Räumlichkeiten eben sehr ansprechend. Wir hatten öfters einen Tisch mit direkten Blick auf die Elbe. Das Hotelpersonal war ausnahmslos immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben mit unserer Familie ein paar sehr schöne Tage verlebt.

...mit einem sehr schönen Ausblick, wenn richtiges Zimmer. Aber auf jeden Fall Morgens und Abends beim Essen, Blick auf Elbe und die Burg.
Nette offene Leute der Oberklasse, Personal einfach super. Frühstück auch mehr als ausreichend und sehr lecker, für jeden Geschmack was dabei.

Gute Lage, soweit auch alles ok,

leider war der erste Empfang als wir ankamen etwas frostig, wir waren vor 15 Uhr im Hotel und sind sofort darauf hingewiesen worden das wir zu früh sind und nicht aufs Zimmer können vor 15 Uhr, was auch gar nicht verlangt wurde von uns. Das Zimmer war soweit sauber, allerdings im Bad war Rotschimmel und der Duschkopf war komplett verkalkt. Das Frühstück mit 18 EUR/ Person ist ok, aber auch hier die Rühreier am Buffet waren kalt, der Speck lauwarm und matschig, die Käseplatte waren nur kleine Endstücke, wurden auch nicht aufgefüllt. Wir hatten als Goldkunde einmalig 20% auf nicht alkoholische Getränke und Speisen, das wurde aber nicht berücksichtig in der Rechnung
