At this visit we were given a room at the second level . Stepping out of the elevator we were “ gritted “by an army of children running around, screaming loud and joined by some adults screaming even louder ! TOTAL CHAOS . We could hardly manage the trolley through the hallway !!! The front desk personnel was kind to give us another room; number 124 !!! Clean room with a very dim light in the bathroom , broken mirror, no room to have the toiletry set up, a dog barking in-the next room for an hour… it was NOT the best trip !!!

Pool was great. Usually, the hot tub is hot and clean. Unfortunately, it was neither this stay (our 3rd here). The hot tub was mildly warm and very dirty! Sadly. Hopefully next time it will be great as it always has been previously. I am sure it was just a one-time oversight.

I had higher expectations, I'm disappointed. We've stayed on another Sandman in Ontario 2 years ago and the experience was wonderful. The standard room is really small compared with other hotels. The fridge, the safe and the jacuzzi don't work. The mattress needs to be changed, it sags in the middle so it is not very comfortable. The room is noisy. It's located at the back of the building facing the highway, we asked to be changed they agreed but we were so tired that we decided to stay despite the noise we were already settled in the room. If you decide to rent a room ask for a room facing the parking lot. The TV is not smart so we haven't been able to login into Netflix or Amazon to watch a movie. The only thing that it was nice was the check in. The girl at the front desk when we arrived on Saturday was very professional, warm and helpful which we really appreciated. I'm not giving 5 stars to the service not because of her she deserves a 5 star. We bumped into a lady in the hallway that does the cleaning and I asked her something, she was really rude. I even talked to her in Spanish to make things easier for her but the bad attitude and rudeness didn't change. I'm staying until Saturday (January 10th 2026) because the week is already payed but we are not coming back to this hotel.

Check in took way too long. There was only one staff behind the desk and it was just poorly managed. Rooms were ok, a bit on the smaller side. Tvs are old and outdated. The channel selection was poor and the TVs were without any streaming services or casting capabilities. In today’s day and age, that is just a standard expectation. I typically stay with Marriott and they always seems to provide that. Room was clean but some of the wallpaper was peeling off the wall.
Pool was nice but hot tub was murky and jets didn't work. Towels were also basically dish towel size, not very functional.
Overall, Sandman was ok for our purpose for the one night but definitely would stay somewhere else in Oakville next time. Better hotel options within a 10km radius for similar cost.

We've stayed a few times at this particular location. The service, room and staff are amazing. Clean and comfortable room. We never hesitate to book this hotel. We always receive great service and we never had any issues with the room. Overall an amazing stay!

Room 338 hears the steady noise of the ice machine outside the door all night. Also the Expedia VIP status that shows when booking hotel for 15 meal voucher or room upgrades apparently neither is a thing at Sandman but is everywhere else I stay that shows VIP. I’ve stated here at least 20 Times over last 2 years but I think I’m done with Sandman Oakville going forward.

The hot tub was murky as soon as I turned on the timer /jets. it was awful. took about 15 mins to start to clear out. There was also a very strong scent of chlorine. Feeling like the pool and hot tub were overtreated.

Was not comped for anything during the wait for the room, like snack/drink coupons etc. at the nearby restaurants, unlike the couple behind me who were comped for a 5 minute wait for their room. Not to mention, the room was dirty and had fingernail cuttings and beard trimmings in the bathroom! Extremely unimpressed with the stay here.
