The Scandic Leknes Lofoten Hotel was a nice hotel.
It was centrally located and an easy walk to the grocery store, shops, and restaurants. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious with many options. The fresh bread and jams were our favorites! One thing to mention: there was not an electrical outlet in the bathroom! A hairdryer was provided; however, it had to plugged into an outlet by the bed where there is no mirror. It was a little confusing

The staff at this hotel was incredibly nice and helpful including carrying luggage to my room. The front desk clerk was so sweet and directed me to locations within walking distance. Food and service in restaurant both were excellent. You must try the fish stew.

Based on whats available in the area this is the best hotel available. There are no elevators so lugging two heavy suitcases up to the second floor was a challenge. Staff was accommodating and willing to assist. Good location with restaurants and stores within walking distance.

They are selling a small Queen bed as double room. Impossible to sleep for two! Very noisy when window is open due to cars and airport nearby. Impossible to breathe when window is closed. Breakfast ran out of pretty much everything important,

The hotel is in an older building that has been nicely updated. Note no elevator. Rooms are smallish but well appointed. Comfortable beds! Bathroom is very clean; shower only. A short walk to the main street, and other shops and restaurants. The dinner and breakfast here are very good. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Everyone speaks English well, which I greatly appreciated.

LOCATION
Convenient location - located within walking distance to restaurants, supermarkets and the airport.
Central to many areas in the Lofoten Islands - if you are self-driving many of the main sites are within a 30 minute radius.

ROOM
The room was very clean and comfortable.
The size was enough for me to spread out all my luggage.
Adjustable heated bathroom floor was great for drying clothing and shoes.

STAFF
Friendly and welcoming staff that are available 24 hours at front desk.
I arrived early well before check-in time and they happily arranged for my room to be made ready.
Any other requests were not an issue - storing luggage, changing rooms, even sending mail.

FOOD
Great breakfast - best I had in Norway. There were lots of hot and cold options, make your own waffles and a great fresh fruit spread.
A complimentary coffee machine, tea and hot chocolate were available in the foyer 24 hours/day.
The in-house restaurant had great food but can get really busy - either go early, or reserve a table in advance (and be prepared to pre-pick your meal when you reserve).
A variety of beverages and snacks were also available to purchase in the foyer for anyone wanting a midnight snack!

Overall, I would stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.

Great place for driving the island!

A great place to stay. An hour from the ferry. The room was a little small but very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was plentiful and WONDERFUL. All the staff were helpful from suggestions of where to visit and eat to preparing a take away breakfast for our 5am departure for the ferry. We gladly recommend this hotel.

Needed a place to stay before our early morning flight the next day. Area is quiet (as with most places in Norway)

Scandic has a renowned breakfast. However, it was different at this hotel. Probably because of its size. Do not expect the breakfast to be like other scandic hotels. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

Waited a long time to check in. The reception area is quite cramped and dark. Staff help in both the restaurant and service desk. I ordered one dessert from the restaurant that took 40 minutes to receive. The server realised this and told the chef it was taking too long. He argued with her about it and customers, including myself, could hear this. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Good working WiFi. Lots of parking, and walking distance to the center.

Great location for seeing the region

The hotel recently changed ownership and has been remodeled. The breakfast was excellent with more variety than a lot of similar priced hotels. You can walk to restaurants and shops, and it is only 5 minutes to the Leknes airport. Many of the famous beaches of Lofoten are within a half hour drive. We chose the hotel because a number of photography tours stay here. Indeed, during our stay in February, probably most of the guests were part of these tours or in private groups like ourselves.

It may be a good idea to start everything in Leknes by self driving. Best western probably is the best in Leknes. The hotel is cozy. The staffs especially Mr Kristian was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and more than the value we paid.

Remember to ask for a room away from the restaurants - we stayed right above the dining area and breakfast/dinner/machine noise was quite loud. They were nice enough to move us upon request though.

This was the second time staying here and a better experience than the first.

Great bedding, good shower with ample hot water, very very fast and reliable wifi, close to E10 highway, close to airport, close to restaurants / shopping.

Hotel can be busy / noisy with photographers in the winter season. Parking lot very icy and dangerous and needs to be addressed.

Positives: great location, close to E10, gas, food, shopping, central for photo locations. Very fast reliable wifi. Good breakfast. Great bedding. Good reliable hot water in shower.

Negatives: very noisy with photographers coming and going at all hours, lobby VERY noisy at dinner and evening if you room close to lobby or stairs. No elevator. Parking lot very icy in winter. Room cleaning could be improved.

The hotel is decent and comfortable even though it is nothing special. It is in a residential neighbourhood only 3 minutes walk from the small town centre of Leknes.
There is plenty of free parking for visitors with a car.
The staff are friendly and the breakfast is really nice.
The room is basic but clean and comfortable. A very practical hotel.

Hotel is pleasant and functional and a good base for touring the beautiful areas of the Lofoten islands.

It is clean and freindly has a personal feel but there are no facilities and there are no points of interest in the village of Leknes itself. this pllace is purely a base.

Noisy!

When I pay a lot of money for a hotel the very least I expect is peace and quiet. Constant banging and noise all afternoon from tradesman in the room next door was unacceptable, and so was the hammering at 11.30 at night! I made a complaint but I was ignored so thanks for the poor service. Wake up to yourselves.

素晴らしいスタッフのそろったホテルです。たくさんのことに配慮してくれました。手違いで予約したタクシーが来ず、予定を変更せざるを得ませんでしたが、レセプションで代替案を提供してくださり、とても素敵な時間を過ごすことができました。
また帰国予定の最終日に、時間調整が必要なのですが、オーからこのホテルに戻ってフライト時間まで滞在させてもらえることになり、大変感謝です。

Ingen salater, lurer på om dette gjengs på Scandic hotellene? Tok ett glass \"appelsinjuice\", tror heller det var grapefrukt. En positiv ting var brødet, det var nydelig. Vi var 3 netter på hotellet over 17.mai. Litt slitet hotell med vegg til vegg teppe som trenger å skiftes. Mange stygge flekker. Ellers fin frokost men ikke så mye utvalg. Veldig godt brød. Rent og ryddig. Sovekomforten mindre bra. Hard og liten dobbelseng. Liten frokostsal så vi måtte vente 20 minutter før vi fikk sitteplass. Gikk treigt med påfyll i frokostbuffeten. Til eksempel var det tomt for kokte egg begge dagene vi spiste frokost ved hotellet. Pris per natt er dyrt i forhold til hva man får for pengene.
