Ideally located in central Amsterdam. Close to Metro station, shops and restaurants. Rooms are adequate with basic en-suite. Breakfast is very good with plenty choice.
Would stay here again.

for the people with knee issues recommend to ask at the time of chk in for no steps room cuz some of the floors you have to take five steps with your luggage cuz there is no bell boy service available, make sure about the bathroom is not smelly , you get the room service but no changes of towels and no bed making, have to ask for. breakfast was okay air conditioning thermostat was fixed at the colder side not coming down so we have to turn it off

The stay for a week was great. Their Staff is one of the best I have ever encountered. The Front Desk folks were super, esp NADIA who went over and above to make sure that me with my arthritis and neuropathy problems was able to get around and helped get me with help to the Train Station and Disabilities Folks for train to Paris!!!

This hotel is an older property. You can’t beat the location, and that’s the main allure. As an older hotel, there are few outlets and none by the bed. There’s also no in room coffee service or free coffee other than at the breakfast buffet.

The hotel doesn’t have great sound proofing, but does provide ear plugs. The other oddity is that as many European hotels, they have single beds pushed together. The Rho hotel doesn’t use any straps or even a single sheet, causing you to fall between the beds if not careful!

But you absolutely cannot beat the location!

Negatives: hotel is outdated and rooms are very modest. Positives: rooms are reasonably clean, excellent location and excellent breakfast. Overall, great value for the money and highly recommended if you just need a convenient place to sleep and convenient great breakfast before you head out for the day. 15 minute walk to Anne Frank’s museum and the heart of canal belt/ Jordaan, 15 minute walk to Centraal train station (trains to airport, to nearby windmill village, etc.), less than 10 min walk to the red light district.

Wonderful 3 star hotel right at bustling Dam Square. The area is so convenient; trams, Central Station, shops, pedestrian streets, etc. My twin room was large and quiet. Front desk staff: Christian and Francesco were so helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff at RHO were great! They answered any questions I had and they were very nice folks. For the most part the room I had was clean. There were some marks on the walls that could have been cleaned up, but thats just me nit picking. The sheets and comforters were cleaned very well along with all of the towels. The breakfast they serve there is decent. I only ate it once and after that I decided to go out in town to find breakfast. (Not that the food was bad, I just didnt want to eat bacon, sausage, eggs and toast every morning. They had other items like fresh fruit, juices, cereals, milk and baked good, but those things aren't what I would normally eat for breakfast). The rooms heating/air conditioning worked very well. Plus there was a window that could be opened. There is no smoking allowed in the rooms, which was fine with me because, 1 I dont smoke cigarettes or any tobacco and 2 I only smoke weed and it was no big deal to just go outside and smoke it. Not only that but if they find out that you have been smoking in your room, they tac on an extra fee. That is completely understandable and fair. Not everyone that goes to Amsterdam is there to smoke weed or smokes tobacco.

Room was clean and beds were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was perfect for a quick breakfast and then out the door exploring. Location was amazing. We were incredibly surprised that we could not hear any sounds from outdoors (despite being right downtown) from our room. The only downside is the walls were paper thin - I could hear snoring from the room next to us, and a group of people talking through the walls into the very early morning .

Central location right in Dam square. Large hotel. Was allowed to check in early. Room OK - could have done with kettle/tea/coffee making facilities. They did have a pay coffee machine in reception. We took our own travel kettle which we appreciated. Room had a fridge which we didn’t use. Breakfast was basic - could have done with more choices for vegetarian. Overall a pleasant stay in Amsterdam. Would stay here again but room only next time.

Room (superior) was a decent size, basic, but okay. Shower over the bath was a bit of a pain, but again not a deal breaker.
Breakfast - while a bit pricey - had good choice with all the standard Euro options plus scrambled egg and crispy bacon.
Staff were helpful and had a great room for luggage.
Location is also very central for price.

Wonderful hotel. Clean, large rooms, extremely helpful and kind staff available 24/7. You couldn't ask for a better location its an easy walk to either Centraal or the Rijksmuseum, wonderful location to stroll from for sightseeing or people watching. I saw that people had complained about noise but we didn't notice an issue and the hotel offered ear plugs in case. The wifi was reasonable and there is a great (but not included) breakfast in the hotel. If we return to amsterdam we will no question be staying here again, seriously could not recommend it enough.

Water maintenance was going on during the main hours of the day and was unable to wake up and shower I also purchased a tooth brush from the lobby vending machines and when I went to use the brush all the Brussels dissolved off the stick
There is no one way water system in room 423 when I was showering the water would run up the floor and be will be draining for 2 minutes after the shower

The room was clean and spotless, but dark. This hotel finds 25 W bulbs sufficient, so it was not possible to read in my room. Even the lobby (very large but in need of a major decorative makeover) was a little dim at night.

There is no restaurant but there is a breakfast room with a very nice breakfast spread. There are nice restaurants in the neighborhood and the staff happily pointed me in the direction of some hard to find but excellent ones. The staff always bent over backward to help and made my stay very pleasant. The neighborhood is central and much is in walking distance or only a short streetcar ride away. Affordable and convenient.

I'm absolutely satisfied with the value I got staying at RHO Hotels. Right off the bat, the location is fantastic, and I was greeted with a genuinely warm welcome that set the tone for the whole visit. Service stayed solid throughout my stay.

The hotel itself is modest, nothing flashy, but it's clean and well maintained. My room was plenty spacious and inviting. Sure, the materials and finishes lean toward the plain and standard side of things, but comfort wasn't compromised at all. The bathroom was also roomy and clean, which matters more than fancy fixtures in my book.

The building has two levels above the lobby with an elevator that's a bit slow. Depending on your schedule and when you're coming and going, it can get a little busy, but nothing that became a real problem.

Breakfast was a highlight. Really good spread with tons of baked goods and some unique regional items that gave it local flavor. Buffet style with plenty of everything. You can't go wrong adding this to your stay.

One small note, since I was traveling solo this didn't really impact me, but I would have liked to see more towels provided (and maybe better quality ones too). Just something to keep in mind if you're staying with someone else.

Would I stay here again? Absolutely. The location is the star of the show, and everything else was good enough quality to keep me happy for the duration. I stayed three nights and left satisfied.

This place felt like an asylum. They didn't even provide coffee or tea for guests, you had to pay for it. Not worth the stars it received. Poorly represented by the reviews and ratings. It was clean, though shabby, and the water pressure in the shower was good. But it was bare bones and minimal to the core.

The hotel is quirky as it had been an old theatre. Has a retro look. The room was a bit dated but very clean. The bathroom was large with a great shower. Location is ideal and walkable from the Central Train Station. It was a perfect location from which to explore the city. Many restaurants and shopping within easy walking distance.
