Checking in was really easy, and they even let us check in early. The room was very clean and the hotel was quiet. The swimming pool was clean and felt nice. The elevator was small but I liked the decor. The room could have used a bit bigger trash can and the can in the hallway was overflowing. The only thing I am not happy about is my $100 deposit was not refunded and I have not been able to get into contact with anyone. I have tried to call and message and nothing. It’s been almost 2 weeks since we left.

While the guest who accompanied me didn’t find an issue for an overnight stay, but I was genuinely grossed out. Super small room and bathroom. Lots of rust, water stains in the ceiling, and painted over quick fixes. Needs a renovation, but may be they’re hoping to keep the vintage look. Regardless, I would not stay again.

Sent us to a dirty room.
Then to a clean one.

2 cool things was they did let us sleep in till like 12:30 or 1pm. And the bed was super comfy.

We had always wanted to stay there. Was not worth the hype. Expected alot more.

I dont know if the restaurant was ever open while we were there. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. The walls are thin and you can hear everyone coming off the elevator all night. Very close to the beach

The hotel is fine for the $$. The walls are THIN! You can hear every thing every where. The rooms are tiny but clean and comfortable. I don’t think the restaurant was open once in the 3 days we were there. The pool was clean and well maintained. The air didn’t work in our first room but they moved us without problems. The beach is just a couple minutes walk. The coffee place in the parking lot was great!!

It was a great location for sure. All the amenities were not functional the rooftop bar was not open. The room looked like it had not been cleaned from the last use. There was hair in the tub the shower curtain was dirty and a used tissue o. The floor. the food at the downstairs boba bar was good. The bed was very comfortable. I would stay here again if they did better cleaning of the room.

We realized it was an old hotel..last time we stayed it was charming…this time not so much! Roof top bar was closed (did not state that on the website)…which we loved last time we were here!
The elevator was working (thank goodness) but the date it was last inspected said 2023!! I think we were the only guest there and they put us on the 4th floor!!
The staff wasn’t very amenable…it felt like we were bothering her while she was lounging on the couch watching TV…I asked if I could use the washroom in the lobby and when I got in there there was water dripping down from the ceiling & the floor was full of water…I told her so and all she said was ok thank you?
I don’t like to give bad reviews however there is a reason the parking lot was empty! Too bad they ran this landmark to the ground!

Lazy staff. Limited parking for the number of rooms. Only 2 ADA rooms so only 2 ADA parking spaces and I needed an ADA space. Room was nasty. Nothing had been wiped down, probably months since. Paint chipping on window sills. Dirt and dried spilled liquid behind nightstand and behind detached headboards. Bathroom was even worse. Again, looked like months since wipe down. Hair in sink drain which had no stopper. Thick layer of dust behind toilet. The provided body wash/shampoo/conditioner dispenser was almost empty. Bath towels not much bigger than hand ones. $1260 for 5 nights for one room, 2 Queen size beds, and one extremely slow elevator. No maid/towel service without call to front desk even though they provide a door placard for “Maid Service Please”. No real cleaning crew. Definitely not worth the money! I should have done more research as I found two other hotels, ON the beach, with comparable rooms for almost $400 less.

Dont answer phonecalls because their voicemail box is full, never got a room serviced despite being told it would happen every 3 days, pool was disgusting with overflowing trashcans on either side of it, sheets were stained and in poor condition, shower was missing a door and unable to be closed, rooftop bar bartender didnt seem to know what she was doing (she did admit she was majorly concussed multiple times). Only thing I can give this place credit for is that the staff were nice.

Picked this hotel because of the good reviews it has however was not expected or as described in the reviews. There was a disclaimer of the loud music which is understandable however the stomping and slamming doors constantly affected our stay as well as the bed very squeaky and you would sink in it. Towels looked a bit yellow and toilet paper wasn’t changed when we got there we received an installed toilet paper. Very limited parking space after 5pm there’s also a disclaimer if we leave then we might come back without a parking space

Not everyone will live this place. It’s not the biggest and best but it is cozy and convenient. If you are a simple laid back person who can appreciate a nice comfy bed, book it. I loved the beds, the staff, free parking, little diner-like restaurant with Asian heavy menu, rooftop bar & close enuf to the Bandshell which was our daily destination for NCA NDA. It’s got a LOT of history which you can get the skinny from the GM on rooftop. Bartenders up there were so nice and talkative (if u are interested in talking) but will leave u be if that’s your vibe too. Met some locals up there too! They all feel like friends now! Lastly that view from the rooftop is amazing. Even if u don’t stay here, plan on a night to hangout up there. You WILL NOT be disappointed. If you enjoy being out but not in a crazy loud bar, you’ll appreciate that too.

The lobby has free coffee and all kinds of creamer available plus there’s a coffee and pastry cart right outside. That is part of reason i describe this place as being convenient bc u can get something to eat almost whenever you want.

Now the hotel advertises it’s a lively place and doesn’t lie about the amount of noise u might experience. It’s true but it didn’t bother us.

if u are picky & need luxury, u might not appreciate this place. gotta have that kind of mindset!! But I certainly didn’t feel like I was settling. One more thing to note the 2nd floor has no elevator service … 5 steps to climb

The location is great and parking is convenient but small. Definitely not a secure parking lot so don’t leave your belongings inside your vehicles. The room was not clean, the glass in the bathroom looked like someone used the same towel for the entire bathroom to wipe it down! The floor was grainy and sandy (which isn’t uncommon for a beach hotel). But this was just not cleaned well. Bed was worn out too. The place could use some TLC. Certainly could be nicer. I’d spend $50/night more and stay someplace nicer in the future.

No assistance towards dining or where to park the car with an overloaded lot. Property is surrounded by homeless folks crapping on sidewalk. This is not a great choice unless you are a partier. The \"rooftop bar\" is actually a nightclub, and your walls will vibrate until 2 AM. In comments on other negative reviews, the hotel claims they make this well-known, but I disagree entirely. I've rechecked the Hotels.com listing - no mention of the noise. The first I saw of anything was when I checked in (at which point its kind of too late) where a notice said that noise \"may spill over\". Buried deep on the website is this statement \"Our fourth floor rooms occasionally have sound overflow from our live music at the rooftop bar. Guests will be advised of this at check in and if necessary we will accommodate guests to lower floors.\" First, we were definitely not advised of this by the disinterested gentleman who did our check-in. Second, we were on the FIRST floor, and I could clearly pick out what songs were being played - and not exaggerating about the vibrating walls. I had an awful two nights of no sleep. Other little things to note:
- All the doors slammed. Typically, hotel doors have measures in place to prevent this. We listened to slamming doors day and night.
- Coffee maker didn't work (not a huge deal)
- Mold and peeling paint in the bathroom
- Pool is not heated (they don't claim it to be, but if you have kids who live for the pool like mine, take note.)

The elevator was broken for three of the four nights we stayed, and we were on the 4th floor. The hotel clerk didn’t seem concerned or empathetic, and it sounded like this is a frequent issue, especially with heavy traffic from the nightclub on the top level. Guests with disabilities had to rely on family members to carry walkers and scooters up the stairs, which was unacceptable. We stayed 4 nights and not once did housekeeping check our room. Although we were told service was by request, it was clear only one person was working the entire hotel, and we didn’t want to add to the burden. As a result, no trash was removed, no towels were replaced, and only one roll of toilet paper was provided for our entire stay. Other guests requested towels that were supposed to be delivered, but they never arrived. They had to go down to the desk, where the clerk admitted she was avoiding the stairs. The walls were paper thin. We could clearly hear guests in the room next to us, people in the hallway, conversations across the hall, and loud music from the rooftop bar. We barely slept the entire time we were there. Cleanliness was also an issue. The bathroom vent was full of dust, and the corners of the tub were visibly dirty. Combined with the lack of housekeeping, this made the room feel poorly maintained. Front desk service was extremely unprofessional. The clerk remained on the phone while checking in guests and never put it down, complaining to whomever was on the phone.

The room we reserved was not available. The first room we checked into did not have a working bathroom light. The second room we got had pee and pubic hair on the bathroom floor. The first room may have been the same way, but there wasn’t a light to see it. Beds was comfortable. Room wasn’t bad for the money, but it’s been over a week and I still haven’t had the deposit hold on my card released whereas every other hold from our trip was released within 24 hours.

We stayed there in Jan of 24 place was great. This time really not so much. Elevator broke for 3 days, front door broke for 4 days, 4 rooms 9 nights 1 service which was 5 days in and it was pulling teeth. And all they did was 1 set of towels per person oh and the fire alarm 2x times so standing outside in the cold for an hour or so with not even an apology. And it was their system not people smoking. I think ots new owners and they just reopened.

I check in there was literally no available parking spots. It appeared that someone was hosting an event and the place was over. Packed inside as well. Standing room only in the lobby music that could be heard a block away. I waited 40 minutes to get a drink after driving all day it was a bad experience. We walked out.

They do have a small parking lot, with a public access bar on top. Make sure you snag a parking spot before it’s all full.

Our stay was wonderful, with a top view of the beach and walking distant from the beach. There is several fast food/restaurants in walking distance as well.

While checking in, it was a breeze, no issues very sweet staff.

Pros: Affordable. Friendly staff. The rooftop was nice and the location is great. Close to the beach, boardwalk and many restaurants and activities.
Cons: Bedding was soiled, room was dated and needed a deep cleaning. We had to switch rooms because housekeeping wasn’t available. Couldn’t park in the paved lot and had to park in a grassy area behind the property which was an inconvenience and seemed sketchy at night. Definitely a party hotel. Very noisy.

This mostly falls on the city, not the hotel, but they really need to do a better job on controlling the homelessness. Not that they are all going to attack you but my girlfriend who's never been to Daytona was a little scared as we walked and just saw them everywhere. She felt very unsafe.

When we arrived at the hotel there was no one at the front desk and there were two parties waiting ahead of us. We waited about 5 minutes and asked the other parties if they'd at least seen someone and they responded that they hadn't. I decided to call the hotel on my cell phone to see if someone would come answer the phone and that's when a lady showed up finally. I hung up so she would start helping the guests.
The room we were assigned was in steerage, the basement floor, room 109. We got to the room and one of the pillows looked like it had been slept on, and the sheets looked like they'd been slept on. The coverlet at the end of the bed was filthy with 'something' on it.
I went back to the front desk and showed her the photos of the bedding, she did 'upgrade' us to a city view room, room 306 (which is what I reserved in the first place) without any additional cost she said... well I should hope not, since that's what I booked online. When we got to the upgraded room, it was sparse furnishings, one lone stacking chair to sit on other than the bed, the room was in disrepair. The floor had a cherry stem at the end of the bed, and the sink at the counter was dirty with some sludge running down the side. Needless to say, we did not stay the night. Since we had an event to go to, we used the room to store our belongings until after the event, then drove the 1.5 hours home so as not to have to stay.
We stayed there before, with no complaints... things are different now!

The hotel was ok, it was the people that rented there. They were up all times of night in the hallway making lots of noise. I didn't get any sleep. There was no microwave

Room was absolutely clean , bathroom was a perfect size with a walk in shower that was spotless , the atmosphere was calming and the air was refreshing. The lady at the front desk i didn’t get her name but she has short dirty blonde hair she was absolutely amazing and carried a decent conversation with me overall I had a perfect stay

Will work if you have no other options

If you're looking for somewhere quick to stay for the night, it would work but its definitely not meant for extended stays or family get aways. It's dingy and soooooo small. The noise never ends which was fine for us but your kids will never sleep.
Daytona Beach as a whole is dirty and has gone so far downhill. It was a quick reminder why we dont visit and will not be back

The front desk staff was wonderful, the hotel has a rooftop bar, and a cool coffee/pastry truck with seating outside. Unless you like being half underground, I do not recommend rooms on the first floor, which is actually down one level from the entrance. The view from room 109 was eye level with the ground. One window looked on a generator or ac unit and stray tanks and tools, the other window looked onto the sidewalk and road. The area outside my room looked like a cement storage closet with spare chairs and cleaning carts. Other advice is avoid the 4th floor as it is right under the rooftop bar.
I stayed here because it is walking distance to the Peabody Auditorium. Even though I walked (<.5 miles) at 7 pm on a Friday night, I felt safer in New Orleans than I did walking to the venue and even took a Lyft back since the front desk advised me not to walk back after 10 p.m. There are some nice elements to the hotel but my room was below average and because of my overall experience, I would not stay here again.
