One of the best and most memorable hotel experiences I’ve had. The property is stunning , it feels part luxury hotel, part art museum, with beautiful artwork and sculptures everywhere you look. Everything from the rooms to the amenities and service was top-notch and exactly what you'd expect in a 5-star stay.

The hotel gem is the spa. Reportedly the largest in Central America, it had excellent facilities (sauna, steam room, mud treatment, salt pools, etc.), treatments and service. The three restaurants were also excellent.

I also appreciated that so much of the staff are local, and you can tell the hotel is an important and valued part of the community. The valley itself is magical, with lots of hiking and nature activities to do in the day before returning to relax at the hotel. I didn’t expect to love this place as much as I did, I'll definitely be back!

Great hotel in a beautiful property. Everywhere you look there is a unique piece of art (sculpture). Rooms are very comfortable with all you need, balcony is a plus with couch and chairs, heated pool is also nice. All areas with relaxing music. Food at restaurant Fuego and Tiempo are of excellent food quality and great service. Highly recommended hotel to spend some days in tranquility and relaxation.

We had a one night, quick stay at this hotel and wished we were able to stay longer! The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning. They offer a HH every night, included in your stay - it was a nice surprise! The food was the best we ate in the entire country. Views were also extremely beautiful. I took advantage of the yoga onsite as well, which was very relaxing. The beds in the room were comfortable - one person in the group skipped dinner because of the bed! Haha. 10/10 would recommend!!!

Brand new property with clean spacious rooms. Ample storage in the room and large bathroom with walk in shower and Molton brown toiletries. There was complimentary bottled water although the tap water is safe to drink, and 6 complimentary coffee pods a day. The yoga instructor was excellent and the yoga was complimentary 9am Thursday to Monday on a roof terrace on the spa. There is a roof terrace bar with amazing views of the surrounding mountains with complimentary drinks for guests each evening 5pm to 7pm which was a really nice touch. All the staff are professional and friendly. The breakfasts are excellent quality and lots of variety. The dinners in the terra vegetarian restaurant and tempo restaurants were excellent quality. We didn’t eat in fuego so can’t comment on that. The food prices are at the higher end but all great quality. We paid around $70-80 for 2 people for 2 courses each and 1 drink each. Our only criticism was the room rate included breakfast however we were charged extra ($30 for 2) for a takeout breakfast on the day we had an early pick up for a trip out with a guide which was a bit steep given the room rate. There were lots of birds in the area and the hotel could attract many to the gardens/grounds if the hummingbird feeders were regularly replenished (they were practically empty our full 5 day stay). A suggestion would be to use up any left over fruit such as papaya or banana to set up a feeding station for wild birds in the hotel gardens

We wish we could have had time to use the spa, but not on this trip. The property was stunning, the pools were perfect, the complimentary happy hour was a very pleasant surprise, the food at Fuego was amazing, the complimentary breakfasts were the best among the 4 hotels we stayed at on our trip. Everything was super clean and well maintained and we loved checking out the art everywhere we walked!

Staff was extremely courteous! Regardless of position, everyone worked hard to ensure that our stay was comfortable and that our requests were accommodated efficiently. Rooms were very clean and suitably decorated. The statues and other art pieces in hallways and though out the property were eye catching and conversation sparking! Each seemed to be telling a story.

But we already booked to return in a few weeks to relax and take advantage of the gym, spa and wellness facilities.

The room was outstanding as were the restaurants (especially Fuego) but the friendly, helpful staff were the highlight for us. Phillipus made.everyone in our party feel welcome & special every time we ran into him. The spa was impressive with excellent amenities & technicians. We will definitely return.

What a great place. True 5 star experience. Resort was not busy when we were there - I believe it is off season in December. Weather had occasional showers but was still at least 24C. One of the outdoor pools is heated which was great. Spa is next level - recommend booking a treatment or even reserving a few hours to enjoy the pools/hammam/mud scrub/etc.
I find with a lot of hotels the restaurants are quite mediocre but that is definitely not the case here. All the restaurants on the property are phenomenal. Huge portions. Beautiful spot and would recommend to anyone. We rented a car and drove from Panama City with no problems.

First off the concierge services from Mr Clovis and Mr Phillip were absolutely exceptional. They helped me before I arrived and all during my stay. Mr Phillip went the extra mile to help celebrate my birthday with a little surpise cake and some singing!!! Both gentlemen were genuine and friendly and so were the staff members i encountered.

The property is spectacular, the art, the sculptures, the ducks absolutely fabulous however i did notice a few issues. It seemed that my tub was backwards. It would have been so easy to turn on the faucet if it were not at the furthest point away from me or maybe it was made for people with extra long arms. A grab bar is definitely needed. The coffee maker was terrible. It was difficult to use and the water was not nearly hot enough for coffee or tea. A kuerig would be a great replacement. Lastly there are some trip hazards in the room, one being the carpet that slopes downward slightly. Its hard to explain but my ankle felt it because i did not know the slope was coming. Same is true for the entrance to the bathroom. The threshold seemed somewhat oversized and I assumed it would flat. Last thing is that it would be fabulous if you can order drinks or snacks from the pool. All in all it was still a great stay and I would definitely come back.

The hotel was clean and the room had a nice view. Dining options were far too expensive considering you are far from everywhere so you practically don’t have a chance to go anywhere else without driving. Also there were some very noisy children shouting outside in the garden very early in the morning. I know children are wonderful but someone should ask their parents to control their level of noisiness.
