Lovely hotel and staff. Rooms are big and very clean beds are comfy.That s not a big problem but i would like to have a bottle of water in the room ready. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They answered my message super fast and helped us for late check-in thanks for the great instructions for that. They have a car park where you can find a space for your vehicle. Reasonable price for bed and breakfsat. Highly recommend.

The hotel and staff were nice and friendly.

Let down is that you need to pay 7EUR every time to use the sauna (thought this to be really strange and expensive).

The rooms don’t have a mini fridge so you can’t store any kind of food! FREE Parking is quite limited 10 cars or so, then you have to pay 8 EUR per night.

Check in suffered from a long wait for another customer with a problem. Told we didn’t have breakfast when I had selected that at booking and its listed on my booking confirmation. Key didn’t work on door so had to return to reception for it to be activated.

Rooms are that annoying form over function style with trendy but impractical features ‘Romantic mood lighting’ in the room was too dark to see what we were unpacking or doing. Shower panel not wide enough so water spills all over the floor.
Breakfast was good, favouring muesli and the healthier options over meats.

Nice stop over.

Used for a one night stopover. Close to Autobahn. Nice clean room. Staff friendly (especially when they initially couldn’t find our reservation). Only about 10 free parking spaces in front of hotel. €5 to park in the hotel’s garage or it’s €2 across the street at a public parking lot.

Convenient to cycle path and spacious room

The location was right on the Danube cycle route which was great for us. We rode by it twice as the exterior is so non descript and it doesn't look like a hotel. Once we were inside we were very impressed. Staff were friendly. The room was spacious however a bit dated. The shower and tub were great. The location was good and easy to walk into the center of town. The construction going on across the street woke us up very early. Appreciated a secure garage to store our bikes.

Desperately needs an update

I have been staying here for the last 6 years at least 5 times a year. Back then it already looked tired and worn out, but now it's becoming really evident that it desperately needs an update. The furniture and the beds are like traveling back to the 80's. Breakfast is consistently good, and the location is fantastic, but with Höttl a few minutes away renovating their rooms, this is now the more obsolete option

We are cycling the Danube on bikes so the central location of the hotel was terrific. There was secure bike parking in the garage, the room was fine and the service was excellent. We did not have the hotel breakfast since we wanted to get going quickly. Being so close, we rode into the town square and had coffee etc at a bakery.

Deggendorf Hotel, the best Hotel in town

It was very nice. We had stayed here before and selected it because of previous experience. Elevator is somewhat primitive as you can barely get two people in it. Breakfast was very nice. Used by tour operators as there was a daily tour group arriving and departing. It is located within steps of the Danube river and has lots of walk ways.

Good spot, great town

I knew nothing of this Bavarian town. It was great. 2 minute walk to the Danube one way and 3 min walk downtown the other. Loads of outdoor cafes and beer stands. The hotel was very nice and the breakfast buffet was outstanding. My only complaint was that there is NO air conditioning and it was about 32c for two of the nights we were there. A fan would have been nice to say the least.

High standard good value hotel

We are on a cycling trip along the Danube and this hotel is the standard by which to judge all others. The location is almost on the route close to the river (though not visible). Modern hotel with high standard of decoration and furnishings in the room. Reception staff pleasant and helpful. Restaurant good and a superb choice at breakfast.

Parking is a bit limited, but we found space in the free car park outside.

Good location.

Hotel is a very plain and standard business type but location is good. It is clean and tidy and the pleasant staff spoke excellent English. Only a short drive from the autobahn and 10-15 minutes walk into the town centre.
Free parking in the small car park outside. They may charge to use the underground parking.
I didn't eat at the hotel, and there's no need to. Deggendorf is a lovely historic town with a pedestrianised centre. Lots of restaurants, cafes and bars.

Cheaper place to stay on route along the Danube.

The hotel is modern, clean & well appointed. It is about 4 blocks from the center of town on a holiday evening so eating places were somewhat basic. While they charge for underground parking, there are a few free spaces in front of the building if you are lucky. The hotel is a good stopping point between the more expensive towns of Passau and Regensberg.

We booked the hotel on-line, pictures looked great. But the hotel rooms were dirty and depressing. Way over-priced for what we got. In Canada, for a room like that, I would expect to pay $89cad. This was eu125 plus parking. Really?

Am Service könnte man nooch gut was machen. Wir hatten eine Suite für 3 Ewachsen gebucht. Das Zimmer war gut und man hat uns das Schlafsofa schon hingerichtet. Das war gut. Allerdings fehlte es an ein paar Handtücher für 3 Personen und was schade war dass auf dem Balkon nur 2 Stühle war. Wir haben an der Rezeption nachgefragt und man hat gesagt dass man es dem Hausmeister sagt aber es geschah nichts. Da könnte man eigentlich erwarten dass so viele Stühle vorhanden sind wie die Kapazität des Zimmers hergibt.
Das Zimmer war schön eingerichtet jedoch sind sehr wenig Ablage Möglichkeiten vorhanden. Es gibt keine Schubladen oder ähnliches. Wenn man einen längeren Aufenthalt hat und mehrere Personen drin übernachten wird es schwierig. Auch im Bad in der Dusche wäre es schön wenn es eine Ablage für das Duschgel oder Shampoo geben würde. An vielen Türen im Gebäude sind Schrammen wo nicht gerade schön aussieht.
Was das Frühstück angeht muss man erstmal das Personal erwähnen. Wir waren eine Woche dort und die Frau wo den Service gemacht hatte war sehr fleißig und zuvorkommend. Die Auswahl der Speisen war gut aber man könnte gerade was die Wurstauswahl angeht auch etwas abwechslungsreicher sein. 1 ganze Woche jeden Tag die gleiche Wurstauswahl etc. ist eintönig. Ansonsten mangelte es an nichts.
Bei der Bar muss ich sagen dass ich erwarte dass man auch die Drinks die auf der Karte stehen auch zubereiten kann. Dies war leider nicht der Fall man kannte nicht alle.
Aber sonst kann man gut dort übernachten..

Alles prima gewesen, das einzige Manko ist das dreibett Zimmer, wovon man eigentlich nicht sprechen kann. Ein Doppelbett und ein Sofa was ausgeklappt wird, dieses ist jedoch hart wie Stein, da wäre der Boden angenehmer. Als wir bei der Rezeption nach einer Matratze gefragt haben wurde uns nur ein weiteres Einzelzimmer mit Aufpreis angebraten. Fazit: wenn man zu dritt in ein Zimmer will ist dies nicht zu empfehlen, da es auch keine weitere Option gibt wie an der Rezeption uns bestätigt wurde. Am besten ein Doppelzimmer und ein Einzelzimmer buchen.

Hotel unbedingt meiden!

Buchten für 3 Nächte die Junior Suite. Leider war Zimmerkarte nur 1 Nacht geschaltet. Als wir am 2. Tag nach 22 Uhr (Rezeption nicht mehr besetzt) ins Zimmer wollten, funktionierte die Karte nicht mehr. Wir kamen nur mit viel Getöse nach 30 Minuten und 4 Anrufen bei der Zentrale in Hamburg ins Zimmer. Selbst nach 15x klingeln ging niemand an die Sprechanlage. Da nur ein furchtbarer ungeeigneter Typ an der Gegensprechanlage in Hamburg war und niemand vor Ort, musste man sich erst beleidigen lassen, um Mitternacht vom Hotel verwiesen zu werden. Nur weil dieser Typ mit einer Reklamation und Ärger nicht umgehen kann. Auch Tage später keine Reaktion oder Rückbuchung der bezahlten Nächte seitens Hotel.

Ich war viele Jahre regelmäßig Gast in diesem Hotel und bisher eigentlich immer zufrieden. Leider hat die Qualität im Rückblick von Jahr zu Jahr nachgelassen – mein letzter Aufenthalt war wohl mein letzter. Primär das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt leider nicht mehr so ganz.

Auch das Frühstück hat mich eher enttäuscht. Das Buffet wurde im Vergleich zu früher stark reduziert.

Das Personal war durchwachsen – von sehr freundlich bis eher genervt und desinteressiert. Schade, dass sich das Hotel in diese Richtung entwickelt hat; aber zum Glück gibt es ja gute Alternativen.

Super Hotel in guter Lage. Das Zentrum ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Es gibt genügend Parkmöglichkeiten in der Nähe und eine Parkgarage vom Hotel.
Das Restaurant ist am Wochenende leider geschlossen. Aber es gibt in Fußnähe genügend Auswahl.

Wir waren kurzfristig mit Hund und Fahrrädern unterwegs. Das Hotel ist optimal, man kann prima zu Fuß in die Innenstadt sowie an den Donaustrand wie auch an eine Strandbar. Gerne wieder, da gutes Wetter war, konnte unser kleiner Hund beim Frühstück mit auf die Terrasse. Zimmer waren ziemlich modern, neu renoviert und sauber. Allerdings kein Schrank, sondern ein offenes Regal und Garderobe. Im Sommer und für ein paar Tage für uns in Ordnung. Personal überwiegend sehr freundlich.

Personsl sorgt zT für grosse Verwirrung

zum Teil jeden Tag kaputte Handtücher (mehrfach Löcher), für eine Suite als Premium Zimmer eine schwache Leistung, konnte aber in 1 Woche Aufenthalt nicht abgestellt werden; Blut von toten Mücken über mehrere Wochen auf dem Vorhang trotz Hinweis, Personal überwiegend sehr freundlich und serviceorientiert, wenige Mitarbeiterinnen am Empfang unzuverlässig in ihren Aussagen was Zimmerreservierung und -buchung angeht.

Null Organisation; Reinigungskräfte für die Katz‘

Gebucht und versprochen war das Zi. 340. Nachdem wir mittags zum Hotel zurück kehrten, un ins Zi 340 endlich umzuziehen, war es mega verraucht von den Gästen davor. Die Reinigungsdamen sind absolut unbrauchbar. Sehen keine vollen Mülleimer im Bad, sehen keine Löcher und Flecken in den Duschhandtüchern, sehen keine Spinnweben im Zimmer, kippen Terrassentüren damit Spinnen freien Zugang haben, entfernen keine Spinnen im Bade oder Schlafzimmer. Reserviertes Doppelzimmer war nur als Einzelzimmer hergerichtet. Der Fehler wurde aber sofort von einer sehr freundlichen Empfangsmitarbeiterin behoben.
Das Badezimmer könnte besser gereinigt werden. Spritzflecken an der Tür.
Das Hotel ist sehr hellhörig. Man hört Zimmernachbarn duschen, reden,laufen.....

Super leuk hotel met een goede ontbijt. Voor 7,- euro kan je gebruik maken van de ondergrondse parkeergarage van de hotel zelf of je kan je auto buiten aan de straat parkeren.
