Checked in they tried to get a table in the restaurant only to be told it was fully booked. Sat in the bar with a drink then an hour later by a different member of staff was told we could get a meal.
Food arrived and was cold and undercooked so sent it back only for new food to arrive and yet again part of the meal was stone cold

Friendly staff always a smile, and clean. The hotel was tucked away in a corner of a small housing estate and not well signposted from the road. If you do not have the sat Nav co-ordinates it is not obvious where the hotel is located.

Overnight stay while visiting the Chateau.

The AC in the hotel was not working. They said it was some units only but after trying 4 rooms we slept in the heat and it was a hot summer night. The breakfast was closing earlier then mentioned and was sparse and not being replenished. We didn’t have the hotel breakfast.

The manager tried to make nice at the end, but, with words only, so what is that worth? The main problem with my stay was Alexandre. A night manager who is so improperly employed in the service industry that I wonder if he is a relative. The hotel is literally empty. They put me (their one customer who booked for multiple nights) next to the washing room. Where the maids get their supplies and they wash all the linen. Much noise? Early in the am? When I asked the dim wit at the desk to move me, she looked like I asked to stop the world from spinning. She calls her overlord and he and I almost come to blows over the issue. I must have stopped him from an important Facebook chat. They finally move me. The room was ok. Bad bath and the shower curtain was too long. The beds took up all the space but the room was new. The outside of the hotel isn't though. The exteriors have years of caked on soot. Those white paint photos are either years old or touched up. when I looked into the bar and café there didn't seem to be anybody on call. They could fix things easily and cheaply and get a good review. But, Alexandre is probably in charge of that and he needs time to send D pics from the company computer.

Out of town hotel in Blois

If you are planning to stay or stop over at the Villa Bellagio I wouldn't recommend it. We arrived just before the check in time at 2pm to be told that the kitchen was now closed despite the hotel information saying 2.30 - not something you want to hear after a 5 hour journey with children! The photos show a nice hotel with a pool and various facilities for children however the reality was very dissapointing as the hotel is rather tired, not particularly clean and seemed to have few staff. Breakfast was sadly chaotic as there seemed to be one member of staff so they kept running out of things. I guess the lesson to learn is pictures don't always tell the whole story!

For an overnight stay the hotel was acceptable with good room facilities. However breakfast was another story. Half the tables still had previous occupants crockery as had not been cleared up. The other half were occupied. I asked one of the staff to clean a table for us which he did but then gave our table to another group despite me standing there. When he did lay another table there was no cutlery so I helped myself at the staff cupboard. At this point others did the same as service was very slow. Adequate choice for breakfast however and slow to replenish fruit juice. Not a good way to end a good stay

Two nights at Villa Bellagio Blois.

Our stay was for 2 nights, visiting Blois.
Check-in was smooth but when we got to our non-smoking room it smelled like it had been smoked. Went back to the reception and they immediately gave us another room which was fine. The room was nice and clean, rather large for French standard and price. Everything in the room was clean and in working condition.
Breakfast was plentiful with god choice so I highly recommend.
Great for kids as the hotel has a pool, a rarity in affordable French hotels.
However not a recent hotel and grounds are not maintained as much as they should but the basics are right and so is the price.
I would certainly return.

The two issues I had were: 1. It advertised BBC News available - When asked the clerk said it may be out and she'll call the technician the next day. 2. The dining area service was slow and the food quality was poor. I had the toughest piece of veal I have ever had, as did my wife. We brought that to the attention of the waitess, but she had no comment. Other than those issues, the hotel and staff were very good.

Wonderful Relaxing Place to Stay in Blois

I was there on business but brought my family. The Staff was very nice and helpful. The lobby was a great place to watch football or to just hang out with friends. The wifi is slow but I am sure that will soon be addressed. The place to stay if you like to be outside of the main city where you can enjoy the peace of nature. There is a trail with an easy walk down to the river Loire.

Check in desk did not have us down for family room even though our reservation showed this. However, they did put us in a family room, downside was the '2 single beds' was a sofa bed & one mattress was on the floor. On the plus side, room was roomy enough, clothes hangers would have been useful as would have some tea bags or more than 2 sachets of coffee (4 people in room!). Shower was decent, powerful and warm. Check out easy.

Not bad, good location.

The Villa Bellagio Blois was formally a Novotel (Google maps/street view still shows it as this). It is situated in a good location within easy cycling distance (3 km) of Blois town centre or short drive. Chateau Chambord is also very close about 20mins drive. Which is great if you want to get there early to miss the queues and crowds (recommended).

Rooms are modern and sizable (at least family rooms are) with a double bed and a sofa bed that converts to two single beds. Minor points stop this from being a really good hotel. For instance parts of the hotel feel a little tired decor wise. Our room's air conditioning was not particularly effective (opening the window wide despite the heat was much more effective) and the free WiFi was available, but connecting also too erratic. The room change laundery bags were often too much in evidence in the corridors.

There is a pool, and the restaurant serves a buffett evening meal (at least the night we were there although we went into Blois to eat). Breakfast provides a good selection trying to cover most peoples preference, cereals, pastries, breads, yogurts, cold meats, cheeses, jams, spreads, hot bacon, sausage, scrambled egg, juices, tea, coffee, etc.

Blois is a great place to stay but this hotel is not good. It's an old run down Novotel that has been bought but it has problems. The main issues are with room air conditioning which did not work (it was 35 degrees most days). We complained but nothing could be done. The breakfast is OK and the room was serviced well. On our last night that held a loud karaoke contest until 1am which meant our children couldn't sleep (we complained but again nothing). the hotel is run down. Staff were OK but we stayed here four nights and it was the worst of our hotels. I think you can do better.

This hotel was very difficult to find and numerous local people could not pinpoint it. After driving around for more than an hour we discovered it at the end of a no through road. It offered a lovely room, bathroom and a good breakfast. There was plenty of parking space.

Hotel is good and the breakfast buffet also. What downgrades this hotel is that the claimed free wifi isn't stable and kicks you out every 5min if you ever have luck to connect to it in the first place.
Also the dinner in the evening was poor. Food was barely warm and they burned black the vegetables and served them - un-edible.

Lovely hotel in quiet area

Stayed here for 2 nights in order to see Chambord Chateau and Leonardo Da Vinci's home (Le Chateau du Clos Luce) in nearby Amboise. The hotel itself is nice. It's in a quiet residential area with a few nearby shops and restaurants. The family room we had booked was a tad smaller than I expected but otherwise very pleasant. Initially we thought we were supposed to have a larger room :) Bathroom was well spaced.

There is an outdoor pool but as it was December and 1C outside we didn't try it. Xbox 360 and pool table inside if you get board.

Staff were helpful and friendly. WiFi access worked well. For those travelling by car there were plenty of free parking spaces. Breakfast was included with our room and had the usual contiental breakfast selection. There was also a small hot breakfast selection of eggs, sausages and bacon. Tea lovers should note that they stock Kusmi tea (if that is your thing!).

Overall we had a lovely stay and would go back there if we decide to come back to the area.

It was a little difficult to find, the last important sign post was missing! Really nice welcoming staff. Room really spacious and light and clean. Fridge in the room. Good meal in the evening only spoilt by the fact that they bought my appetiser and my husbands main course at the same time, really odd!

Economical stopover for a family of 4

The Villa Bellagio was slightly dated, but clean. Beds were comfortable. The dinner and breakfast buffets were very good, with lots of choice (convenient with small children!). Cheaper than the Ibis; good for a stopover while driving down through France. 2 or 3 miles into the centre of Blois - not so handy for sightseeing.

Although the staff was very friendly and useful, and the kids appreciated the games area in the lobby, the condition and comfort of the rooms don't justify the ratings of this hotel. The carpet in our room should have been replaced about 5 years earlier and the beds weren't very comfortable.

Perfect stopover hotel from South of France

Great value family hotel - almost exactly half way between Dordogne region and Calais. Great facilities and room absolutely appropriate for amount paid. Pool very nice plus and well maintained. Breakfast was free for kids and as such was good quality and great value for our family of four. Ignore any bad reviews - this isn't the most luxurious hotel in the world, but isn't like it either. It is absolutely perfect as a stopover for any families who want to break the long drive home into two.

The room for 4 people was comfortable and clean, if a little small - the only problem we had was with the shower, which was difficult to work. Not as good as it sounded

We got a \"family\" room that sleeps four but barely has any room left over. There was supposed to be wifi in the room but it only worked if you sat on the floor near the door. We hoped to do some laundry but the cost was 6 euros for a shirt and 3 for underwear or socks. Instead we went into town and used the laundromat for about 12 euros for a whole load.

Because the room was so small we inquired about getting a second room. Although the posted rate is 130 euros we were told we would have to pay 150.

We ate at the restaurant for dinner one night and the food was acceptable but nothing special

The cost of breakfast was ridiculous so we went instead to a nearby boulangerie/ patisserie each morning and we mthoroughku enjoyed that

Vus le prix et l'annonce au niveau du confort, nous espérions passer d'agréables moments le soir après les visites... mais sans clim (\"non branchée car pas de technicien\") ni réfrigérateur (\"destiné à disparaître\"), c'était étouffant ! D'autant que la piscine était vidée pour cause de covid19, mais là... pas grand chose à faire.

Etablissement bien placé en sortant de l'autoroute. Ex-novotel : taille des chambres OK, WC séparé, grande baie vitrée. Chambre agréable mais vieillissante.
1ère résa d'hôtel après COVID et donc surprise que : pas de resto, ni piscine,ni ménage en chambre, pt dej restreint. L'hôtel n'y est pour rien mais aucune info que le site pour mentionner cela.

Piscine fermée et non spécifiée a la reservation ( meme en cette periode post covid, les hotels suivants lors de notre sejour dans la region avaient une piscine ouverte). Clim en panne, impossible de changer de chambre.... personnel a l'accueil sympathique mais qui semble bien seul....et depourvu face a la situation. Emplacement au calme. Nous ne reviendrons pas.

Établissement qui ne mérite pas les 3 étoiles indiquées. Bien que le personnel soit fort sympathique il n’en demeure pas moins limite en terme de propreté. Les coussins étaient tachés et au restaurant pareil. De la sauce séchée sur des sets de table qui n’avaient pas été changés depuis longtemps. Trop cher pour la prestation...

Het ontbijtbuffet was goed en uitgebreid. De kamer was vrij eenvoudig, met verouderd meubilair. Het was schoon en voorzag in de behoefte: een overnachting onderweg naar Zuid-Frankrijk, met de mogelijkheid om aan het eind van de dag nog even te ontspannen buj het zwembad of op het grasveld.

Großes Zimmer, könnte renoviert werden. Sehr freundliches Personal-hat sogar einen der ausgebauten Kühlschränke besorgt und einstellen lassen. Frühstück zu teuer für das Angebot. Der Pool war nicht zu sauber, lag aber immer in der Sonne. Gute Möglichkeit, sich auszuruhen am Pool.

Notre séjour dans cet hôtel aurait été parfait si la climatisation de la chambre avait fonctionné!!
A 4 dans 1 chambre par des températures dépassant les 30 c° en journée , les 2 nuits ont été difficiles !
Dommage que le personnel de l'hôtel n'est pas joué la transparence en nous disant que la clim était défectueuse voire même qu'ils voulaient faire des économies plutôt que d'essayer de trouver des prétextes bidons comme la clim vient d'être remis en route et il faut 2 jours pour que le système arrive jusqu'aux chambres !! surtout que la clim de nos amis dans la chambre d'à côté ne fonctionnait pas non plus !!!
pour rappel l'hôtel est normalement un 3 étoile !! d'ailleurs, il mériterait un petit rafraichissement des façades extérieures!
En revanche, la restauration était très bien, le personnel de service charmant et la piscine très agréable.

hôtel et personnel sympathique cependant - pour 3 dans une chambre 1 petit gel douche et 1 shampoing...cuvette des toilettes nettoyée mais traces très prononcées jaunes /noires de vétusté ( peu agréable) . Globalement on sent un manque de rénovation , ça tiraille sur les couts.....Petit déjeuner simple à 8€uros = cher pour une qualité plus que standard

Très moyen et viellot. TV minuscule!

Grosse déception Hotel médiocre et dont la description sur le site est trompeuse. Ce ne sont pas des chambres familiales comme annoncé. A la place ce sont des toutes petites chambres avec un canapé lit. Donc plus aucune place de circulation si les enfants y dorment. Télé très petite sans chaines de films/Canal. Petit déjeuner correct. Vue sur parking mal entetenu.

Elevador no funciona, alberca dañada, baños de los cuartos con manchas. Muebles con estampados arrancados. Hotel viejo y con servicio malo. Ropa de trabajo tirada en los jardines. No lo recomiendo.

L hôtel est viellissant. À l arrivée nous avons été déçu car il ne reflétait pas celui représenté sur les photos du site internet.
Il aurait d abord besoin d un bon ravalement de façade.
Le personnel n est pas souriant et pas accueillant.
Par contre, le petit déjeuner est varié et de qualité.
Nous n avons pas pu juger le restaurant car il était fermé. .. autre mauvaise surprise de l arrivée.

chambre convenable selon les critères de la catégorie mais peu ou pas décorée et peu entretenue ( télécommande qui ne marche pas boite à kleenex vide mini bar vide..beaucoup de petits détails irritants wifi compliqué ) bon.. l'essentiel y est quand même.

Mauvaise expérience ! je ne reviendrais pas !

Service de petit déjeuner tout simplement nul ! Aucune table de débarrassée et la présentation du buffet est à pleurer.

Chambre vieillotte mais propre. Télé fixée au mur mais de travers ! Va-et-vient d'éclairage principal hors service, j'ai utilisé l'éclairage de chevet.

C'est dommage car cet hôtel ne manque pas d'atout

Personnel très accueillant, décoration au top pour Halloween, endroit plutôt calme, propreté ok avec un petit bémol sur l'entretien quand même : nettoyage de la moquette dans la chambre perfectible, joints de baignoire a entretenir et toilettes a détartrer. Bon emplacement pour visiter les châteaux alentours. Cheverny, Chambord et Blois avec son musée de la magie (spectacle de fin génial pour jeunes enfants). Si notre séjour (2 nuits) etait à refaire je retournerai dans cet hôtel.
