This is my favorite Prague hotel/apartment. It is not exceptionally fancy, but extremely, clean and comfortable. The staff goes way beyond being helpful to making one feel very much at home and welcomed. As someone who has been staying in Prague hotels for decades, this an exceptional staff, location and facility. I can't say enough good about them!

While the room was clean and felt safe, that’s about the end of the compliments I can offer.

We only stayed one night, but it was easily the worst night of sleep I’ve had at a hotel. If you like to exfoliate your skin with sandpaper, you’ll love the sheets and duvet cover on the bed. Our hotel room featured only half of a toilet paper roll. When we asked the front desk for another roll of toilet paper, they asked how much we were given before being giving us another.

We stayed here at the beginning of our trip and at the end of our trip. We went to Munich between visits. This was a wonderful place to stay perhaps one of our favorites of all the places we have stayed outside of Disney resorts! The staff is very friendly and helpful! The rooms were very clean and plenty of space! Transportation is within a few minutes walking and all the attractions are close using public transportation. Restaurants and cafes are all right in the area on every street. We had a fantastic time and it was very relaxing. I looked forward coming back to our room every night because it was so nice and comfortable which was important after a lot of sightseeing and walking during the day! Breakfast in the morning was delicious and everything was fresh made, an extra bonus! Prague is a beautiful city and hopefully we can come back and stay here again! We had a great time!

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and very spacious. The bathrooms (toilet and shower separate rooms) were tight spaces, but manageable. Breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. Thank you for a wonderful experience! I look forward to our next visit!

We liked the Hotel Orion a lot. The hotel was close to everything but far enough away from the crazy crowds to make it the perfect stay. It was so obvious that the owners care deeply about their place and did all they could to make our stay exceptional. Kate and Anton at the front desk were so helpful! The rooms were beyond spacious and were spotless! The neighborhood has some wonderful place to eat and drink. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Orion.

The suite was a perfect size and setting for 2 adults and 2 children. Very close to any transportation and conveniently placed within a walking distance to the city center, if walking is something you enjoy like I do. Well stocked with essentials and very clean. Included breakfast had great variety of foods. Not overwhelming and everything I e would need to start the day right. Even gluten and lactose free options which is important to me. With the 3 lovely ladies, I felt like sitting in my mom’s kitchen being taken care of.
I’m certain that I’ll be staying there again.

We are grateful for the space to spread out. A washing machine to wash clothes, and a kitchen to prepare food.
The service was great. We stored luggage while we traveled elsewhere. So helpful. Breakfast was delightful and homey. There was not air conditioning in our apartment, but we did have a fan and thankfully the weather wasn’t too hot.

We had a lovely relaxing stay at Hotel Orion. The apartment was really spacious - dated decor but I think that was part of its charm. We used the sauna which isn't free of charge but an amazing amenity to have onsite and a great thing to do on a rainy day! The reception is 24H so was perfect for a couple of our late night! We also got late check-out for a very reasonable fee. Would recommend and would stay again. Would recommend the area as it's close enough to the main attractions, but also felt local and authentic.

We booked this room for our friends, a family of 3. We checked in with them and all of us were impressed with the room and entire property. The front desk person spoke English, Czech and Russian and was very helpful and kind.

Our friends reported that the beds were comfortable, every inch of the room was spotless and the breakfast was perfect and delicious. They said they would stay here again.

Based on my short time at the property, I too, would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay.

Parking is impossible in the area, so if you have a car, I recommend staying elsewhere.

I travelled 3 countries in the past 12 days. Munich, Austria & Prague. If compared to the other 2 hotels that I stayed. This is my least favourite one. The friendliness of staffs need to improve. Especially the dining service crew. I wished one of the old lady good morning, and she just stared at me without even a smile. How rude was that. And breakfast need to improve too. Almost everyday with the same food. Can't they just change different pastry/breads or offer different cheese/yogurt?

Location wise, not bad. If you are a tourists, please take a day pass. This will ease you with all the transportation hassles. If you are from Praha Main Train Station, just drop off at Namesti Miru, and walked around 7mins to the hotel. But if you carried heavy luggage, then I would suggest you to interchange at I.P.Pavlova then take Tram 22 to Jana Masaryka. Walk only 5 minutes with better road condition.

Amenities - Poor. For 4 nights stay. They only gave us 2 very small sachets of Bath/Shampoo + 2 Mini Soup.

Overall, this hotel is spacious, clean and I'm happy with the 24 hours Reception service.

The bed in the otherwise large and light apartment, which is on street level for everyone to hear and see, is an absolute disaster. The thin mattress left bruises on my back and have to be the most uncontrollable experience I ever had I. A hotel. The younger staff are friendly and correct, the older ladies not do much.

This Hotel is located perfectly for vacation purposes. It is a nice and quiet neighbourhood and close to many attractions and public transport. Some of the Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful but others not so much. The breakfast could do with an upgrade. There is a lot of street lights around and the curtains in the rooms are not sufficient to block this out. The room was very light which made it hard to sleep. The bed is also very hard. Other than that the stay was perfect. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen well equipped. The photos do not do it justice. It worked perfectly for our family vacation.

Receptionist had booked an airport transfer but as the company they use hadn't confirmed. We had to book an Uber. Then the original taxi turned up! All a bit stressful and embarrassing. The room we stayed in had some very industrial type noises going on during night ,probably the main boiler but did not help sleeping. We have stayed there (different room) before and no problem. Breakfast is great and cleanliness superb

Careful if booking an accessible room

The place was so clean. The staff were so helpful and friendly. They have a 24 hour manned desk which is nice. Secure site. You need to buzz to get into the hotel.
Breakfast was just ok.

We needed a wheelchair accessible room. They changed our reservation with no problems. Getting into the room was fine but not all the doors in our two bedroom could open. Our guest could not get into the kitchen. The bathroom was adequate for our needs but our wheelchair guest is quite mobile and left the chair outside the door to use the bathroom. Not possible for a lot of wheelchair guests. Wheelchair accessible but not wheelchair friendly. Staff said they would fix the doors inside the room so they would open properly.

The beds are very firm which some guests may not like. The beds are all single. No cuddling.

The location was terrific. Close to trams and trains. So many great restaurants and pubs nearby. We would recommend any restaurant around the hotel. We were there fo 4 days and tried many.

Love hotel Orion dearly!!! Love their apartment like rooms, court yard where you can have a cup of coffee and meet with your friends staying in the same hotel!! The location is superb! Quiet, beautiful Vinogrady, away from the tourists but close to all a traveler needs: transportation, close proximity to the center, stores and million of caffeys and restauransI introduced Orion hotel to my friends and we all stayed there last summer. Staff on reception very polite, in a room on top floor, needs a deep clean strange smell from kitchen area, no toaster in kitchen, very cold in room at night so be warned to sleep in your dressing gown, anyone being given top floor should be made aware of low velum widow as they spin all the way round in the wind thus cutting my head, last thing not much of a breakfast, trust me I’m not a fussy guy but your call 👀!!!

By far the quietest hotel I have ever stayed at. I would not have known others were staying there had I not seen them in the lobby and at breakfast. Breakfast was good. I am a picky eater but always found something I liked. TV had only Czech speaking channels which was frustrating but understandable given where I was. Beds where thin mattresses so a bit firm for my taste and I did not sleep well but struggled with a large time change so that could have been it too. Neighborhood was very nice and close enough to transit to get around. Was there for a week for a conference and worked well. WiFi worked but barely - was frustrating for my son.

Good hotel to stay

The room is big, plenty facilities, clean and comfortable. Hotel at convenient location, only 6 minutes to metro, a lot of restaurants near around. Breakfast not luxury but good enough. Reception very good service. Shower water too weak, and wifi single not stable. Over all is good. I would recommend this hotel to all.

Very comfortable hotel close to great transportation and quiet residential area. This hotel is located in a very good residential neighborhood with just enough restaurants and shops to make it interesting. Large room with kitchen and dining area and good breakfast included. I have stayed in this hotel during several visits to Prague and staff is always cordial and helpful. Not in the middle of all the tourists traps but close enough for a good walk or a short tram trip.

Hotel was in excellent location, very trendy with lots restaurants, bars, and stores. It was close to Namesti Miru where you can purchase mass transit tickets for subway or tram, but it’s only about 30 min walk to old town square. The room we had was spacious with 2 bedrooms, living room, WC, bathroom, and a kitchen. Sparse furnishings, but comfortable. Breakfast was ok for small amount I paid. The parking garage looked secure and not too far from the hotel. I recommend calling ahead to ensure that the hotel had a space for you. Staff was very friendly. Only downside I had with the stay was that the hotel did not tell me about extra surcharge on additional beds. I booked with 5 in the party, but the room had 1 king and 1 twin, so the staff added two more beds without asking. Not large additional charges, and I would have been perfectly happy to pay the extra, if the hotel told me up front about it instead of as I was checking out. Just to be fair, Hotels.com did list the rolla bed as extra charges, just that I did not expect extra beds to be automatically added. Otherwise, the hotel was clean, spacious, and we had a good stay and I would recommend it.

The long awaited trip

We booked the hotel in advance. I had a fear about the trip because it was the first experience in ordering the hotel on the Internet. We came and everything was amazing. We got what we had booked. The room on the upper floor with the city view is something I will never forget. We really enjoyed it! The possibility of buying the tickets for the underground and getting the city map at the reception of the hotel are also good friends for travellers. We do appreciate that! Wanted to thank such a nice hotel for making our trip!

more than just a hotel, it's an experience

The fact that the rooms are apartments make for a superb stay. You have more than what you need as there is a full sized kitchen with fridge and hob.
The staff are so friendly and helpful which made our stay even better.

If you are looking for a home from home in prague then this is a must. It's in walking distance from most of the attraction.
If you want a taxi but are worried about the bad things you have seen/heard then don't worry as they use a very good one. They will order you a taxi and the prices are very reasonable.

Parking is a very big issue in the area and the hotel review was a little misguiding with hotel parking available as they only have 5 spots available which is not a lot. I spent 50 minutes getting to find parking in the area at 0300 on the morning. Not something I want to do after driving most of the night.

Good hotel but photos are a bit misleading

Looked for a hotel with parking since we were traveling from Germany. There was construction around the hotel and parking is VERY tight to begin with. The hotel has 5 rented spaces in a courtyard for 13 Euro and they are two blocks away. Otherwise I probably would have had to park blocks away. Hotel is nice and front desk was helpful. Good wifi. Only had two issues-my room smelled like faint cigarette smoke and the housekeeper came in my room without knocking. Otherwise easy access to bars and restaurants, public transportation. Hotel architecture is very appealing as is much of the surrounding buildings.

I travelled to Prague to visit my daughter who was studying abroad. The room was very roomy, more space that we needed. The staff were wonderful, the breakfast was exactly what we needed. Our luggage was left in London and the receptionist was so helpful in calling the airport in Prague for me to speak to a rep for me. He then called again and when the luggage arrived at 1230 am he brought it up to our room. He went out of his way and was so very helpful. I would recommend this hotel for anyone. Good location and walking distance to the subway into the city.

Hotel is located in a quiet residential neighborhood with easy public transit access to all the sites and destinations in Prague. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast is spartan but healthy and will easily get you through the morning. This hotel is not of the luxury variety, but can serve as a great home base if you are planning to spending a bit of time. The room was large and having a kitchen and dining area made it feel a bit like home and allowed for eating some meals and snack in. I heartily recommend this hotel to the traveler who is interested in seeing all of the wonderful city and is not looking to be overly pampered. It is convenient, clean and moderately priced place to stay. To add to the panache there are a great variety of local restaurants and bars within and easy walk. If you are a walker, the major tourist areas are about a forty-five minute walk away. There are several lovely parks close by and walking the nearby neighborhood will give you an additional appreciation for this marvelous city.

This is more like an apartment than a room. It is an older place without AC, but we didn't need that in May. The room was comfortable and clean. It is located 3 blocks from the metro and trams, and tickets for these can be purchased at the hotel. While we were visiting all the nearby eating places closed between 11:00pm and midnight. Breakfast was great.

I had booked this hotel completely based on the positive reviews that I had seen. And truely in the right sense, it has been one of the best stays ever I and my wife had in a hotel. It is actually a 1 bhk apartment and the room had all facilities required and was very clean and comfortable. I request the Orion staff to have a better spread in the breakfast menu as it caters to only diets of Europeans. At least must include items like omlette, grilled sandwiches, vegetables etc.

Our stay at the Hotel Orion was a pleasant one. The staff is extremely nice and the apartment was very spacious. The two downsides were the availability of seats at the breakfast buffet and the comfort of the beds. We travel a lot in Europe and have yet to be uncomfortable when we travel but the very thin pads used for mattresses were hard. We traveled with our four kids and I seemed to be the only one that was uncomfortable, so it could be personal preference.

Week at the Orion, part conference and part break

very welcoming. We had asked for a double bed but given singles.Resolved the following day by moving us to another studio apartment. The large bedroom had windows on two aspects making it light and airy. It had two armchairs, a sofa.three drawer chest for clothing and small dressing table.
The bright kitchen was simple and equipped with everything we needed for a weeks stay (microwave, fridge, coffee maker, double hob, kettle, crockery and cutlery etc table with four chairs).
Hallway with large wardrobe and adequate storage space.Bathroom simple, well equipped and towels etc good. hot water scarce early in the morning.
The flat was always cleaned well and beds made. we found the bed too low and firm for our taste but we got used to it.
We commuted into the Congress Centre and into town by tram or metro which was very convenient. We used local restaurants frequently and found them to be of a very good standard and much cheaper than those in the Old Town or the New Town (eg mains 145 to 185 Korona compared to 345 - 450. the breakfast was good with adequate choice and very relaxed.pleasant dining room in the basement. no windows but well lit and tastefully decorated.They are very sharp at clearing away just before 1000 though!
the locality is very pleasant, quiet, tree lined.easy access to shops and transport
Most important of all is the staff. very helpful and willing to put themselves out, which was much appreciated.

Room to spare

I have just got back from spending 4 nights in the Hotel Orion. I booked and paid for a studio, which to me implies all-in-one except for a bathroom. Instead I was incredibly surprised to find that I seemed to have been upgraded to a spacious one bedroom apartment (hall, bedroom, lounge, kitchen, bathroom and separate toilet) with a double bed, as well as a sofa that could be turned into another bed if needed. Also, I was on the 5th floor so had a fantastic view out over the rooftops of the city. Only real negative was that I think there was only 1 English speaking TV channel.....but then who goes to Prague to watch TV?

Breakfast is fairly basic continental style, a nice selection of breads, meats & cheeses, cereals, and usually hot sausage and boiled eggs.....nothing fancy, but a good way to start the day. Recommendation would be to get down to the breakfast room fairly early - first 3 days I was there about 8am and it was nearly empty but on my last day I was later (about 9am) and there was only one table available.

I didn't have much interaction with the staff but, after checking out in the morning I was stood outside in the afternoon waiting for my airport transfer when one of them walked past and recognised me, not just ignoring me like some off duty hotel staff might do she stopped and asked asked if I was leaving, how I found my stay, etc.

If/When I come back to Prague this will definitely be at the top of the list of places to stay.

the flat is good. always clean but needs upgraded. it's a cheap deal though and it's a good price for people who wants to have a short break. i don't like the food esp. the sausages that they prepared from our last day. one of the staff wasn't helpful enough and not so friendly.

Excellent All the staff did everything possible to make our stay lovely. The apartments are much bigger than hotel rooms and kitchenettes mean every meal does not have to be in a restaurant The Apartment hotel is in a quiet area but in a few minutes you can be in the bustle of Praha by tram 22 (which passes all the main sites) or Metro. Plenty of bars and restaurants in all price ranges in a few steps ***For an extra special time contact them to pay a small upgrade fee to the penthouse 64 a flat with a panoramic terrace ***

Good place at great price

Stayed one night at the Hotel Orion before my flight back. The staff were great and very helpful. The room was BIG and at a good price! The hotel is located at a 15 minutes walk from downtown.

Great little apartment type hotel in a Awesome neighborhood. Staff was great no complaints. I spent only two nights. As it foes not have AC and the weather was getting very hot. Even with no AC the Pom was very comfortable with the windows open and with a fan. Great Area! Plenty of restaurants and bars near as well as the metro. Would stay again.

Nice base to explore Vinohrady in Prague 2!

We were there for two nights and our room was never cleaned. The rooms are very spacious for the city and the neighborhood is very nice. Night staff was very friendly.

Large, clean space for little cost.

I got the studio room and it was much larger than I expected despite the low cost. Very clean, but it was difficult to get hot water in the shower. Over the staff were great. Some were very friendly while others a little less so. The location was a 15 min walk to Charles Bridge and was also right by a subway stop. Overall it was great.

Take your key with you

This is a great hotel at a reasonable price in a very convenient location. The only minor issue we had was the fact that the hotel encourages guests to leave their keys at the front desk... and then does nothing to check your identity when you come back to claim your key. We accidentally gained access to a room that wasn't ours thanks to this lackadaisical attitude toward security. We didn't experience any actual problems because of this, but it's just something to keep in mind.

Excellent hotel choice

I would stay here again without hesitation. The service and quality of the hotel are excellent. We arrived early and were able to drop off our bags without issue. Additionally we left late and had no issue with the hotel storing our bags. The morning breakfast was ample and with many food choices. The hotel staff is very friendly and ready to offer any assistance requested. Location is central, quiet, and safe. Excellent family choice.

Location is very good, 5 minutes walk to the metro and less than 3 minutes to all major sites. Staff could speak English very well in Reception, but not in the dining room. The breakfast was minimal. Basic choice and just one basket for each item. Limited fresh fruit (segments of orange). Rooms were huge and very well equipped kitchen.However, as previously reported the beds are so hard that on my return home I now have muscular pain due to the discomfort. There is no air conditioning but there is central heating. The rooms would benefit from a sofa and or comfy chairs rather than 2 sets of tables and chairs, as you are unable to sit around in comfort. The TV has very very limited choice.

Orion Hotel

This hotel is in a great location. Neighborhood has lots of great cafes and restaurants. Hotel is very comfy, huge rooms, kitchen, TV, and good bathroom with shower/bathtub. Desk staff can be friendly or surly but the value of what you get here is good.

Orion Hotel Prague: Excellent Experience Again!

This was my second stay at Orion Hotel Prague. And it was great again from elegant lobby to knowledgeable and polite staff, to cozy rooms! The hotel is located in a clean and quiet residential area, close to major transportation lines, and only 15 min walking from Wenceslas Square.

Their buffet breakfast is amazing with large variety of food made of high quality products.

Highly recommend, and will return!

Excellent stay!

It was my 3rd short vacation trip to Prague. I've always had great experience with Prague hotels, but \"Orion\" was beyond my expectations! The hotel is located in the quiet residential area, not too far from the center. It is 5min walking to Namesti Miru subway station (A line), and tram #22 (scenic route). However, if you prefer walking, it will take you 10min to get to Wenceslas square (if you know shortcuts), 20min to Palladium shopping center, and 30min to reach Old Town Square.

The hotel is very clean and cozy, with beautiful lobby, an elevator, and elegant staircase. It’s run by friendly staff who speaks good English. Special thanks to Martina, who took her time to help me activate the local SIM card on my phone!

Reliable Wi-Fi Internet connection is available in the lobby as well as guest rooms. However, if you do not have a computer with you, there is a desktop PC in the lobby for guest access. Rooms are beautiful, with high ceilings and great new furniture. My room felt more like a residential apartment rather than a hotel room: a hallway separates fully equipped kitchen from spacious bedroom, which has an elegant office desk, and a safe.

\"Orion\" will be the hotel of my choice during my next trip to Prague.
