What a joke. They advertise all these wonderful amenities and when we arrived there was absolutely nothing available. No spa, no beach, no tennis, no laundry facilities, no hair salon. We would never have stayed here if we had know. When we complained they offered us a free drink! I have complained through the hotel and the refuse to respond and tried to get a refund from Expedia with no luck. Don't go to this hotel if you are expecting lots to do.....there is nothing!

The property is large and allows a quality inclusive experience with it's size and elevation. There is a fee to access the beach, but it was still worth the beauty and privacy. We were able to really relax at the hotel and enjoy Maratea. It's an amazing coast.

Staff at the pool were amazing, kids club staff, unreal. Restaurant staff downstairs (only one) kinda rude lacked any speed and seemed upset we even showed up.

Room was fantastic, pool so great seeing you’re staying literally on top of a mountain, be ready for a crazy drive up. With an amazing view when you get there. The front desk staff varies, some amazing and kind and helpful, others when you could find them, seemed to just avoid eye contact and run away…it was strange. We lazed, dreamily by the pool and enjoyed our time. Be aware there is only 1 or 2 restaurants within walking. Both were fantastic we made it to the closest one twice as we refused to eat downstairs more than once. And it was so fantastic we had to go again.

Our daughter didn’t want to leave she had such a fun time with kids club which in turn gave us a good relaxed time as well.

Great views, great service and overall great stay.

We had a very relaxing two night stay. We enjoyed a meal the first evening at the hotel restaurant. Great service and delicious food! I mentioned it was our anniversary trip and they surprised us with a cake for dessert. Also, they are knowledgeable about gluten free requirements and provide gluten free bread upon request. The hotel provides a shuttle to their private beach(not many gluten free food options at the beach snack bar but I was able to get a salad) and also into the town upon request for a small fee. The fee was definitely worth it. The room was basic but comfortable and had a balcony with a view of the ocean. We will stay here again if we are ever able to return to this beautiful town.

OK, not great.

Old hotel but clean. The reception is grandiose but the rooms are old and basic. Some apparati in the room are so old that they aren't even functional. Figuring out the old air conditioning controls is not obvious. Nonetheless, the room was comfortable. Periodic shuttles to a clean pebble beach was a plus. Nice breakfast. Evening food is so-so, not high quality Italian by any means. Big problem was we paid for a sea view, were not provided one and when we noticed, we were told that there were none available, meaning that our room had been allocated to someone else. A hotel that loses room reservations: not a good sign. The next day, we were moved to another room with sea view but which had less amenities (even though it was slated to be a \"superior room\"). Management gave us an inexpensive bottle of Asti and some old soft biscotti to compensate, which I personally found to be insulting because they probably figured that dumb tourists wouldn't know the difference. So it was disappointing to say the least.

Worst service in the hotel restaurant we have ever had. Room was ok but the WiFi was worthless and the staff did nothing to improve it. View was lovely. Lots of families with small children. Very noisy even in the room. Very dated decor and furnishings.

Disappointing hotel facilities

Disturbed by local weddings, the swimming pool was closed early for the banquet... The pool was the only modern touch of this resort. The rest of the facilities including the rooms are very outdated and poorly maintained. Location remains the only reason to stay close to the status of Christ the Redeemer of Maratea.

I stayed here five days-- it was strange in that we were almost the only guests in the very large hotel resort. So, we got really special treatment and didn't need to wait for anything. And we got to know the staff which is always rewarding. The view of the ocean and the Christ redeemer statue was awesome. Food was good-- although I'm afraid a lot of food was wasted as they still offered us full menus. The hotel is a drive away from the towns, so you need a car to go anywhere. All in all, very charming.

First of all, we were struck by the beauty of the surroundings, and the whole concept of the hotel. The view from our balcony( and from most if not all the rooms) is amazing, the sea down below looks like a picture from a fairy tale.
The staff was very amiable and helpful, breakfast was great, although we stayed there towards the end of the season.
A wonderful experience indeed.

Awesome staff and breakfast but rundown structure

We stayed one week. Will list some good and bad..
The good is the breakfast. Awesome and fresh and local selection and the staff is always willing to accommodate you, great service and people.
The beach is awesome, the staff there is awesome too and the snacks. The towels and chairs are free and so is the shuttle so if you don’t speak Italian make sure you insist as my husband doesn’t speak and when he asked they said it was 3 euros a person. The parking at the bottom is also free, there are some men (not young) who try to take your money, beware.
Cons, hotel to beach is 10 min by car. The hotel is old and rundown. Insects as in grasshoppers are up to 4 inches long, a few in the room. The first floor is where you have them and it’s the most run down floor.
The maids are very good.
The beds are not real beds or of very poor quality, they are low and creaky, my back and neck still hurt. The shower head was very slow to pass water.
Parking is free, resort of a very past theme buy nice.
Very nice and clean pool.

Disappointing and dated

Hotel was once grand but now rather tired particularly in the bedrooms. Ours had a wet carpet seemingly from the air conditioning unit and a dated bathroom including terrible scaled up shower head, with a view of the car park.
Upon check in the music from the terrace was so loud I had to shout to the receptionist to be heard (this is no exaggeration). There was explanation until I asked and was told was a wedding taking place, with no accompanying apology for the inconvenience of the noise which continued into the evening.
Breakfast was a disappointing affair with poor coffee (from an automated machine rather than served fresh), and a huge selection of pastries and cakes all of which were stale and dry. It is also inconvenient for eating out in Maratea town so I'd suggest a b&b in town would be a much better option.

We decided at the last minute to have a family getaway for my wife's birthday. We booked a suite at Grand Resort Hotel Pianetamaratea that morning and arrived that afternoon. The staff was instantly welcoming. My little kids enjoyed the space of the hotel and the suite after the long car ride. I told the staff at check in it was my wife's birthday and I wanted to do something at dinner. They told me they got it. At the restaurant during desert the staff brought out a cake, sang happy birthday and made the moment special. The rest of the stay the staff ensure to wish my wife happy birthday. Additionally at breakfast the staff happily greeted my family.

The room was clean and spacious. The kids had a room, the parents had there own, everyone enjoyed the amazing view. I highly recommend this diamond in the rough. There are local beaches, shopping for souvenirs, and restaurants in the area. A++

For people who are looking for a quiet, secluded place, for a true tranquility. The hotel itself needs renovation. The airconditioning is not working properly, don't expect any help from a receptionist regarding that, except a promise that she/he will send someone to fix it, which will never happen. The view is magnificent.

La struttura è molto bella ed offre una vista fantastica, ma qui ci fermiamo, il ristorante alla carte non è in funzione, la pizzeria non è in funzione, il ristorante a buffet non offre un servizio da Grand Hotel o da un 4 stelle, e vista l ubicazione dell Hotel diventa una costrizione per gli ospiti se non automuniti. Le camere poste al settimo piano risultano essere ben arredate e di grandi dimensioni. Il personale risulta essere sempre cortese e disponibile, una particolare menzione va al metre Sig.r Roberto ed alla receptionist Giulua M.

O Hotel é enorme está muito bem localizado. Percebe-se que está meio decadente, precisando de uma reforma/modernização. O quarto para casal com filho é bem amplo e confortável. Da un 4 stelle mi aspetto delle confetture in vetrino, mentre erano in plastica con bassissimo contenuto di frutta, la parte salata scarsa e di bassa qualità, mi sarei aspettato dei formaggi e dei salumi locali, delle verdure crude come pomodori, cetrioli ecc..Caffè imbevibile, cappuccino fatto da mani inesperte.

Nel complesso un soggiorno confortevole! La struttura è ben mantenuta piscina grande, stanza ampia e pulita. Aspetti negativi la distanza dal mare, sono circa 15 minuti di auto con curve! Altro aspetto negativo il posto è isolato non ci sono negozi o attività commerciali eccetto il ristorante il piccolo runch, dove si mangia bene! Se non si vuole prendere l'auto la navetta è a pagamento. La cucina del ristorante non è eccezionale. Spiaggia bella e dotata di tutti i servizi! Nel complesso ottima struttura per vacanze di famiglie o comitive.

Hotel abbastanza vetusto, con arredi vecchi. Bagno senza areatore e finestre, doccia in vasca da bagno, sanitari datati. Il letto matrimoniale non era un king come in descrizione ma ricavato da due materassi singoli accoppiati. La spiaggia dista oltre gli 8 chilometri e considerato che l'hotel è a 450 m. s.l.m. la strada è tortuosissima quindi per arrivarci bisogna usufruire della navetta a pagamento e della spiaggia privata a pagamento. Il rapporto qualità/prezzo non è per nulla buono

Esperienza molto positiva, hotel ben organizzato ed attento alle normative Covid. Splendida piscina all'aperto da 25m. Buona colazione, possibilità di mangiare alla carta con qualità/prezzo discreta. Camera suite molto spaziosa e comoda per 4 persone. Letti comodi, aria condizionata regolabile a piacere. Wifi funziona bene solo nelle parti comuni. Maratea, spiagge e servizi a 15-20 minuti di macchina.

Albergo che ben rappresenta i fasti degli anni 90 della perla del Tirreno ma che ancora oggi può dire la sua tra gli alberghi di un certo spessore.Per continuare a mantenere il fregio delle 4 stelle ha bisogno di qualche ritocco sia come struttura,le stanze sono comode ma i bagni piccoli scomodi e con sanitari da rinnovare,sia in cucina,piatti non a livello del blasone,prezzi da albergo di lusso!

Abbiamo alloggiato in questa struttura per 3 notti e due giorni con formula colazione inclusa. In generale esperienza positiva, personale cortese e accogliente anche se alla reception non sempre abbiamo ricevuto risposte esaustive alle nostre domande (come usufruire del wifi, come richiedere lettini ed ombrellone in spiaggia,...). Consigliamo in particolare ad alcune ragazze addette alla reception un atteggiamento connotato da maggiore accoglienza ed umiltà.
La formula della nostra offerta prevedeva la sola colazione inclusa che abbiamo trovato buona, gustosa e con adeguato assortimento. Personale di sala molto gentile, disponibile e cortese.

Zimmer war bei Ankunft schmutzig, Schranktüren sogar kaputt!! Die Zimmer entsprachen überhaupt nicht den auf Expedia gezeigten Bildern. Hier sieht man nur die teureren Junior Suites, in die wir nach unserer Beschwerde kamen. Hotel ist auf Massenabfertigung ausgelegt: im Restaurant treiben einen die Kellner entsprechend, damit man möglichst bald fertig ist und der Tisch frei wird. Das Eysen ist gut und der Panoramablick sowie der Strand sehr schön. Die Transfers zu diesem sind gut organisiert, aber abenteuerlich durch die 20%-ige Steigung der Privatstraße.

Abbiamo soggiornato in mezza pensione. Tutto perfetto. Posto ideale per relax e divertimento. Buono il servizio navetta per la spiaggia così come il personale dell' animazione molto socievole e cordiale. Un po meno il servizio cena dove se anche la qualità del cibo è buona, il tempo medio di attesa è di circa due ore. Il personale dell' hotel si è reso comunque disponibile alla risoluzione del problema. Ottima la colazione, ricca ed abbondante. Sicuramente ci ritorneremo .

Flott hotell på et fjellplatå med nydelige uteområder og skjermet hotellstrand i med høye fjell i bakgrunnen og klipper. Basilicata er et spesielt område med høye fjell, vakre strender, og gamle byer. Tiden har stått stille her og området er veldig lite preget av turisme.

Morgenmad ens - morgenmad skulle åbne kl 7:30 men først 7:50 kom der pålæg og æg ud. Meget irriterende når man skal på tur osv.

Meget højt show HVER aften - kunne måske dæmpes lidt. Det samme omkring swimmingpool - eks. Læses der hver dag en børnehistorie op i mikrofon på italiensk ved poolen. Ikke rigtig fedt når man ikke taler italiensk.
Privat strand står der om hotellet - men der står ikke at det tager 25 i shuttlebus og at det koster 24 EUR for en familie på 4.
Dårlig frokost på hotellet - mærkeligt når hotellets strandbar godt kan finde ud af at lave lækker frokost.
God stor pool.
Udsigt fantastisk.
God privat strand når man altså først var kommet derned.
Besværligt når man skal væk fra området - tager 45 min at komme på motorvej.

Amazing view and Very friendly staff. Always smile and help in the frontdesk from Massimo and from Roberto in the restaurant and the nice Girl in the poolbar. We really enjoyed our time there.

Struttura molto bella, posizionamento buono con vista mare eccezionale. Navetta disponibile ogni 15 minuti per il servizio in spiaggia che dista 5km di discese ripidissime.
Piscina stupenda e tutto veramente pulito.
Ristorante buono, dai primi ai secondi ed ottima scelta per antipasto al buffet.
Camere grandi e spaziose, bagni pulitissimi.
Che dire tutto veramente ottimo... sicuramente ci tornerò!

La veduta sul mare é molto attraente, posizionata su una collina, bene la piscina per grandi, meno quella per i bimbi (sporca) e niente di eccezionale, organizzazione per il servizio navetta da parte dello staff é PESSIMO, il ristorante bene solo il vice maitre Roberto (persona attenta, simpatica e professionale) lì il resto del personale é da sostituire. Le pietanze per quello che costano è da migliorare. Molto bene la colazione. In generale informazioni date sbagliate sia dal dal ristorante sia dalla hall per il servizio navetta. Tovaglie in stanza di pessima qualità. Nel complesso posto bello ma non bene organizzato. Sicuramente ci sta di meglio

Struttura bella ed organizzata con un panorama mozzafiato. Servizio navetta gratuito per la spiaggia. Servizio spiaggia compreso nel pacchetto. Le camere sono apprezzabili, ben organizzate e fornite, munite di balcone con vista mare. La pulizia un pò lenta ma buona. Il bagno e dotato di vasca e doccia. Il bidet è attaccato alla tazza tale da rappresentare un problema. Buona l'animazione ed il servizio dell'hotel con personale gentile e professionale. Discreta la cucina con piatti abbondanti con ricchi antipasti a buffet. Davvero ottima la colazione a buffet davvero molto ricca. Buono il servizio piscina. C'è anche la piscina per bambini. Ampio parcheggio per l'auto incluso nel pacchetto. Tassa di soggiorno davvero pesante 4 euro a persona. Nel complesso la struttura è da consigliare e Maratea è davvero bellissima incastonata tra mare e montagna.

Etwas abgelegenes Hotel mit mittelmäßigen Service

Zu unserer Überraschung lag das Hotel ca 15 Autominuten kurviger Strecke entfernt von der Küste. Wenn man nur den Hotelnamen ohne genaue Anschrift bei Google Maps eingibt, bekommt man einen Ort nahe der Küste angezeigt. Dahin führen wir auch erst - kein Hotel weit und breit. Bei Eingabe der genauen Anschrift fanden wir es dann. Weit und breit nur Landschaft. Der Ausblick war allerdings atemberaubend, die Zimmer zweckmäßig eingerichtet mit Meerblick, allerdings war dieses weit weg! Ca. 10 AutoMinuten entfernt war das alte Dorf Maratera, das sehenswert ist. Das Frühstück im Hotel war recht lieblos, der Pool ebenfalls. Ich kann dieses Hotel nicht empfehlen!

L’Hotel ha certamente una vista bellissima, un comodo parcheggio , ampie e luminose camere , ma è abbastanza datato come struttura( i bagni sono senza finestre ; senza aspiratore ; e la doccia con un vetro fisso appoggiato sopra la vasca , troppo poco per un Grand Hotel Resort!!!) La distanza dal mare non è molta ( 7 km) ma la strada è tutto un tornante. il personale è gentile e professionale .

Très bel hôtel, personnel de la réception parle français, très grande chambre avec balcon vue sur mer. Par contre difficile d’avoir l’air climatisé.
